Hi, I have been comparing gpus again and I noticed my asus rog strix 1070ti selling from $800 to $1700 lately. Question is why, I could sell this and buy a 2070, or better and upgrade my lga1155 board plus cpu. Should I ? What am I missing here.

Hello! I'm new to the PC building scene but I have done a fair bit of research about the parts I chose. Could someone more educated than myself take a glance at the parts I chose and reassure me that they are compatible? I already have the 1070 ti so I am buying everything else. I appreciate any help!

I'm looking for a you upgrade to my recent PC build. Specs Ryzen 3 3300x Rx 570 4gb Cx500 The rest don't really matter I'm looking for a gpu upgrade, yeah I know in this market gpu are insanely overpriced. But I'm either gonna buy a gtx 1070, 1070 ti, or 1080 and maybe a rtx card if I can get one under 500$. My budget is basically 500 with tax and shit not included. So which one is the best choice.

I'm looking to build my first ever pc and I am not sure which graphics card to choose. I have a ryzen 5 3600 and enough money left over to buy either an rtx 2060 or 1070ti. I have looked at benchmarks and the 1070ti seems to be slightly more powerful than the 2060 but does not have the same ray tracing capabilities. At the moment I have found one of each card priced at £300. The pc will probably be used for mostly gaming/streaming and maybe some light video editing. Which would be the best overall?

upgrade advice Advice for potential upgrade
TheOriginalGolem posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
I am currently looking to upgrade my GPU as its starting to battle to run modern games even at low, and i want to get into vr, i found a great deal on a used 1070 ti 8GB that was in an old crypto miner for around R3600 (about $210 USD) My Current setup: CPU: i7-4790 GPU: GTX 960 2GB RAM: 16 (4 X 4GB) Kingston 1600Mhz PSU: 700W I have 3 questions: 1. How badly will the CPU bottleneck the system? 2. How reliable is a second hand mining card? 3. What would performance be like in vr with a oculus rift s headset? Many thanks in advance -
I was trying to swap out my Msi Gaming X GTX 1060 6 GB with a Msi Gaming GTX 1070 ti from the same model for about 100 USD. (GTX 1080 is much more exp comparing to 1070 ti where I live...) I was trying to be able to play 4K at 30 fps on a 4K TV or to be able to maintain 60 FPS@1080p on Ultra settings of graphically intense games like Red Dead Redemption 2. The seller who I have found from a local forum says that the card has a bit of coil whine and has been used in mining for 3 months. He looks like an honest guy and looks credible in the forume with many successful trades and reviews. He has showed me the temps and stats and they look normal. And he says that the backpanel has not been opened. The fans also seem quiet. But the card has a bit of coil whine. He has sent me a video with the sound that comes from the GPU. The seller says that the coil whine on the card is minor comparing to other cards... He sent me a video of the sound. (The video is in Persian Langauge) https://youtu.be/udzmHTE23yg (also attached the video to the post) (He says that there is an AC in the background so ignore the AC noise from back there.) I have never owned a card with coil whine so I was wondering if this is too much or just normal? Can I use like sound dampening pads on PC Case to silence it if it bothers me? 20200520_173116.mp4

I'm building a new system (from scratch tower + monitor) and I can't make a good choice about the GPU and Monitor. I found a GTX 1070 Ti at a reasonable price (considering I'm not from the US) and a GTX 1080 at around ~20 dollars more, I also managed to find an Asus 27" 2560x1440 144Hz freesync and an LG 27" 4k with freesync for 20 dollars more. I don't have the cash to upgrade easily in the future so should I just go for the 4k monitor? (A monitor is a harder upgrade for me.) If so should I just go for the GTX 1080? Note: I can afford a 1070 ti or a 1080, but not a 1080 Ti. Assume other components won't bottleneck the GPU, I'll be using a Ryzen 5 1600 Both cards (1070 ti and 1080 are Asus Strix cards, with the 1070 Ti having a "Gaming" tag) I also found a Gigabyte GTX 1080 Aorus at around $80 less than the 1080 Ti and $100 less than the 1080. Also I'm just saying how much each component is worth compared to the other since it's not relevant comparing it to US prices since it's more expensive here due to tarrif.

I know the 1080 is better but is the 1070 ti also worth a buy for 1440p 60hz & 1080p 144hz Gameplay? I am interested in either the MSI Titanium or Gaming 1070 TI does anyone know the difference between these 2 GPU's other then color & which of these 2 i should go for

I have a 1070 in my system and I am planning to soon get 1070 sli setup and saw the boosts of 1070 ti and was wondering if there is any news of being able to sli 1070 and 1070 ti together?

Are there any benchmarks for gtx 1070 ti sli (specifically how it stacks up against a 1080 ti)

So I've been cutting down my budget a bit and I was looking at an i3-8350k to pair with a 1070 ti. I know that seems like a really odd combination, but I have some very GPU intensive games like Star Citizen I want to play, but I also want to OC up to as close as I can get to 5 GHz on the CPU. Will the i3 bottleneck the 1070 ti? I didn't think it would because it is actually very similar performance wise to the i7-7700k. I just wanted to make sure.

So i just bought a EVGA GTX 1060 SC(6gb), mainly for editing my Youtube videos on premiere pro. If i upgraded(I bought the 2 years "plan", so I can return the card) to a 1070 ti, would i see enough improvement in rendering speed to make it worth it? I don't game(no time I'm either making knives or music, but I digress) so, it is hard to find any info on this subject, thanks in advance.

I'm going to upgrade my PC soon, in order to give my brother my old 1060 3gb for his new machine, and I was planning on getting a used 1070ti for around 300$. I know the 1660 ti is a tad less for a tad less performance, but anyone with experience or just a second opinion. The main purpose of my upgrade is ensuring my computer is capable of running the Valve Index, which my current system can, save for the GPU. So which should I go for? I'd likely be getting the 1660 ti or 2060 new, unless I can find a good one used

I've been stress testing my GTX 1070 ti using 3dmark. The reported temps during the benchmark averaged 82c. Aren't these temps a bit high for a stress test? During intensive gaming, GPU temp rarely goes above 65c. Anything to worry about regarding the temps? The GPU is not OC'd. Other specs: Intel i7 8700/16GB RAM/ Win10 Pro x64 1903

Hey guys, Recently, I've been thinking about converting my 1070 Ti from fan cooling to liquid cooling, and all I know is that since I don't have any other water cooling in my PC, I need to get a hybrid cooler. I have an MSI 1070 Ti Titanium 8G; this one in particular (from MSI's website): https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1070-Ti-Titanium-8G I love my 1070 Ti and I want it to last a long time. Recently, games that ran at no higher than 68C are now running at 74C-81C. Games like Overwatch (was 68C max, now runs up to 79C), League of Legends (stable 68C max, but I feel that's too high for this game even at max settings), ARK Survival Evolved (poorly optimized game, runs upward of 82C). From what I read, these numbers aren't dangerous for the card, even if running that hot for hours. I just don't feel comfortable with numbers that high when games used to run much cooler. Maybe game updates or something made them more GPU-intensive, I don't know. There have been no changes that I made to the game's settings, and I've always run these games at 1440p. Perhaps I'm overthinking things and shouldn't be concerned unless the card hits 90C? Either way, ultimately my question is can I get a hybrid liquid cooler for my 1070 Ti? I can easily find tutorials on youtube but they are for blower cards and that is not what my card is. This is my first time opening up and modding a PC component AND my first time with liquid cooling on any component, so I'm very nervous about doing so, and want to make sure I don't break the card in the process. Thank you!

Hello I am experiencing some heavy underperforming from my 1070 ti When I compare my heaven benchmark results to others. It gets beaten by a GTX 1070 with the same CPU ( ) What could the problem be? Specs: I5 7500 3.2ghz (tops at 56°c) MSI b150m bazooka 8gb ddr4 balistix tactical 2666mhz EVGA GTX 1070 ti black edition (tops at 69°c ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) seasonic focus plus 650w 120gb SSD (13gb free) 1tb wd blue (80gb free) i am using it in a open air Testbench so thermal limiting are out of the question. thanks in advance

Hello ppl, first of all i have this build for around 6 months but since i havent played games so much it didnt bother me, that i feel like my gpu is underperforming (or maybe its cpu?!). I have: Asus strix Z390-E i7-8700 (non k... yeah i know) Asus strix 1070 ti Gskill trident z 2x8GB RGB 3200Mhz Drivers up to date. When i play pubg @1080p all max settings i get around 80 fps, when playing dota2 @1080p all max i have ~115-120fps and has a dip down to 70-80 when lots of effects comes into play. In csgo i have 144 constant. Temps are not the problem, because cpu has ~55*C and gpu temp is not going over 60 (with fans spinng at very low speed). Its bugging me because i think im not getting what i should at least in dota, i know pubg has a shity optimization (still) but i think i should have better performance. I hope i gave you enough info so you can give me your feedback.

sli To SLI, or not to SLI, that is the 1080 vs 1070 ti question!
Jath posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Alrighty then, here goes my first post. I've got me a somewhat budget gaming pc built from salvaged mining parts. I'm using the following: motherboard: MSI Z270 SLI CPU: i5-7400 RAM: 24Gb of 2666mhz GPU: Asus GTX 1080 (not bought for mining). Monitor: 32" PX 329, 2560x1440p 160hz 4ms I also happen to also have a couple of MSI GTX 1070 ti laying around, also from the mining. Games I play: CS:GO Star Citizen Hitman Empyrion Dead by Daylight Ark: Survival Evolved would like to play some future titles. Alrighty, so my question is: What should I use? The single 1080, or the two 1070 ti in SLI. Since money isn't involved in this equation, I think this may change things for people IMO... Has SLI improved in the last 2 or 3 years? Is there any serious drawbacks? Will I hit any bottlenecks soon? I'm also planning on switching out to the i7-7700k soon, as it's the fastest processor my motherboard is compatible with, but that's not priority right now. So, in short... should I go for it? I guess I could always just try it out and switch it back if I don't like it, since i have all the parts. But I wanted to get feedback first, since I'm a little too lazy to reverse everything after I've done it. :-D Thanks in advance.. -
Hey so quick question how is 1070 Ti performance in newer games in 2019. Also how will it fare as new games release. I'm looking into this card for games like Ghost Recon Break point and RDR2, and just want to know if it will hold up well over time.

Hey guys, I found an offer on facebook marketplace for two 1070 ti Aeros for 250 each when bought together, but I was wondering if it would be better to use the two graphics cards in SLI or just to get a single 1080 TI? Thanks!

Heyo there! I'm planning a rigid-tubed, fully hand-built, open-aired, inverted, insane-looking hard-line loop, because, well, why the Linus not? However, it seems while I did pick nicely priced, well-specked hardware with heavy bang, decent buck, and fair upgradability, it also seems i've picked all the sh*t EK, Phanteks and TT don't make blocks for. I've checked each site, and, if I can find anything, it's been almost all reference or Windforce only. See hardware; Gigabyte's Z370XP SLI mobo with a Gigabyte 1070 Ti (GV107TOC8G I believe was the product code, it's their GIGABYTE brand OC gaming card, no Windforce/G1/Aorus) Does anyone know of any brands I probably haven't checked, or of any companies, or of anyone at all, that makes or has done successful modifications to make waterblocks for these? I figgured if any big name had the cash to splurge on a 1070 Ti block it would be TT, but not even they touch it. Surely someone - GN? Jay?? - has had a look and gone, 'Oh, yeah look, these mounts here. Guess you can whack a 1080 block on this card, it just won't screw into that end bit there but the VRMs are fine'... I'm too attached to my little black-and-white themed board/8400/1070 Ti to trade them in for reference/bigger brand items, but if I want this project to, well, progress, it might end up being my only choice. Thanks all!
