So just put together a new build with: X370 taichi R7 1700 Gskill flair x F4-3200C14D-16GFX Noctua d15 evga 1300 watt psu Samsung evo 960 It boots sometimes but more often than not it gives me error code 62 and no post. Then If fiddle with it turn it on and off clear cmos and eventually I get it to post but I'm trying to at least be able to boot into the bios consistently to try over clockingthe cpu and ram. Has anyo okne else had this problem or maybe know some troubleshooting steps for this

Big PSA for users of these boards to avoid this firmware update until a fix is announced, so there's no chance of becoming a victim to it. Its reported that basically inside the bios menu voltages on the vcore are fluctuating between 1.5-1.7 which is very very high, where as usual voltage is closer to 1.2 or 1.35-1.45 when OC'd, and the max you can even set in the bios is 1.55 F8 (Gaming 5) & F6 (x370 K7) bios has also been uploaded by Gigabyte today allegedly fixing the Vcore issue F7 (Gaming 5),F5 (x370 K7) are no longer available to download and should be avoided Source's: http://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-cpu-gigabyte-x370-damage-burning-bios-update/ https://www.techpowerup.com/236659/latest-gigabyte-x370-k7-motherboard-bios-broken-dynamic-vcore-up-to-1-7v

Hey guys! I'm gonna build a 1600-1600x rig and I'm wondering if is wise to buy x370 prime pro from Asus for max oc potential. Also I want to know if there are BIOS updates now, or even motherboards that can handle 3200 mhz ram out of the box. I'm looking into 100-160€ for motherboard. Thank you in advance, and sorry for my English.

Hi all, I have an R5 1600x on an Asus B350 Prime-Plus motherboard and a full custom Waterloop. I've managed to get it rock stable at 3.9GHZ but (I admit mostly for epeen reasons) I'd like to get it to at least the big 4.0 stable. It will boot at 4ghz and run Aida64 for around 10 minutes before crashing, so I can practically taste that stable OC. I'm currently running four ram sticks which I don't think is helping, going to buy a pair of 8gb 3000mhz sticks anyway, but I'm also considering upgrading my motherboard to an X370 one with some nicer VRMs. My question is realistically is better VRMs actually going to make enough of a difference to get me stable at 4ghz or is it just a waste of money? Thanks for your help, Harry

Hey guys, I'm experiencing an issue with the bios for my MSI X370 Gaming Pro. Version 4.0 is what the board came with, it overcloked okay, but I didn't have my back plate from Cryorig so I didn't feel safe pushing the OC too hard. I actually made a back plate from polycarbonate and steel, because i got sick of waiting, which works just fine. I finally got m flash to recognize the new bios file, upon installing the newest version, 4.3, I oc'd my R5 1600 to 3.95ghz at 1.3875v with actual voltage near 1.415v. However, Ryzen Master, CPU-Z, and Core Temp report 1.55ghz, not 3.95. So I tried to go default at 3.2, still 1.55ghz. The memory overclocks flawlessly. I tried bios version 4.2 and 4.1 with the same results. Finally when I got back to stock bios from March, I could overclock again. But now I have to push 1.4125v to get 3.9ghz. Any ideas?

Is this motherboard any good for its price? Is it worth picking it over other alternatives (Gigabyte/MSI/ASRock/etc.)??? https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-X370-F-GAMING/overview/. Currently it's out of stock here, in Argentina, but maybe if it deserves a chance I would wait a few weeks until it's back.

Hello, When i overclock my Ryzen r7 1700 performance gets worse? Cinebench score goes from ~1300 to ~550 even with the smallest of over clocks. When i am trying to overclock my Ryzen 1700 the clock speed shows in HWMonitor and CPU-Z as 1549MHz. But in the bios and on Task manager it shows the 'correct and higher' clock speed. Doesnt matter what i set the clock speeds to, as soon as it is not auto it doesnt display correct value. When i first start the system and load HWMonitor it will show the full clock speed and then instantly go down to 1549MHz. I am using the Ryzen R7 1700, MSI X370 Gaming Plus motherboard and 16GB corsair LPX Ram. Why is this happening? have i missed something in the bios whilst overclocking? Thanks!

After building my new pc and playing a few games i decided to install the ASRock RGB LED Application to change the breathing red on my MB to a static red instead. after downloading and trying to run the MBs RGBs went blue and the App won't run at all. I've tried re-downloading and a few other things but nothing is working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My build

New build will not boot into BIOS. When the system was powered on for the first time, all of the LEDs and fans activated but the post code stopped on "b2", a code that is not noted inside of the motherboard's manual. My guess is that the relatively old GPU (R9 270X) is causing some problems but I'm stuck using it till prices on GPUs are no longer inflated due to mining. I don't know if the GPU is functional and I have no other serviceable system to test it. Relevant System Specs: Ryzen 7 1700 w/ Stock Cooler ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 Motherboard XFX R9 270X 750W PSU What I've tried: Using only 1 stick of RAM Reseating GPU Ensuring all power connectors are secure Ensuring HDMI cable is firmly plugged into the monitor and GPU Clearing CMOS Resetting Booting with or without a keyboard connected Removing the GPU causes a 0d error, related to "VGA card or other devices" according to the manual. This signifies that the motherboard is recognizing that GPU is there. What probably isn't the problem: CPU - Brand new, properly seated and the cooler was properly secured using diagonal screwing pattern. Power Supply - New and is rated for much higher than what would be consumed by this system. Memory - Memory is on QVL and should be running at default non-overclocked speeds. Monitor and HDMI Cable - Confirmed to work with other devices. Things that could be the problem: After talking to someone I knew, he thought the problem might be related to the GPU not being UEFI ready and for whatever reason, the motherboard isn't automatically detecting and switching to legacy. The GPU's video output is broken. Research yields very little information so any information anyone might have would be highly appreciated.

Hello all! I want to build a new rig, keeping my GPU, drives/SSD and PSU. I'm going for a ryzen 7 1700, with the idea to overclock it as much as it takes it. I probably will start out with aircooling because i'm lazy, but i have multiple waterblocks, pumps, rads at home, so i'll be able to watercool it if it's useful (i can 3D-print a mounting bracket no problem). I want to game at 1080p with my current R9 290 GPU that's going on the new system, and i often do CPU intensive tasks (3D renders and 3D stuff, and heavy computing : firefox and chrome ). I'm going for 16GB of ram, perhaps 32 later down the road. I have an SSD for OSes, and another one for steam. Now the question is : what chipset should i pick? I was going for a B350, since i heard that X370 only adds crossfire/SLI stuff that don't matter to me (if i buy a new card, it will be ONE baller one, not 2 medium ones, and i got no money for 2 big cards, nor want to buy a new PSU, etc). However on this topic, i was told that X370 adds some overclocking features that should be considered. So i'm calling out to you guys : What chipset is more interesting, B350 with cool features and good pricing, or X370 with even more features, but higher cost? I don't care much for RGB stuff (i'll do them myself, with my own circuitry), nor SLI/crossfire, but i do care about getting a good overclocking; good stability, and also linux support.

I just built a PC. My set up is as follow : MSI x370 titanium ryzen 1600x Galax 2x8GB 3600 mhz ddr4 samsung m.2 500gb ssd Kraken x62 EVGA 750 watt titanium(overkill I know) in an S340 Elite It powers on but no display. I've tried using one stick of ram, I tried the BIOS reset thing, I've tried different monitors with both HDMI and DP, I've tried disassembling and reassembling to make sure all wires are plugged in. The system powers on but NO DISPLAY. The Debug LED screen shows 00 PLEASE HELP ME

Not sure what Motherboard should I get MSI b350 tomahawk or Asus PRIME X370-PRO. Most of the reviewers suggest getting X370 board for Ryzen 7. I can't see that much difference between these boards expect x370 supports SLI other doesn't. I personally not planning to use SLI. Planning to buy Ryzen 1700 and Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz

I've been keeping an eye on the MSI X370 Gaming Pro (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X370-GAMING-PRO.html#productFeature-section) to build a Ryzen PC, but I just found the Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming K5 (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-AX370-Gaming-K5-rev-10#kf) which seems to have more features for only a $15-20 difference so, is the extra investment worth it? Also, another thing I'm wondering right now is about AM4 BIOS, are they mature enough for OC now? Since I read they were a total mess at launch. Anyway, thanks in advance.

I am in process of doing a new build and want to utilize the new AMD RYZEN and a AM4 X370 motherboard...However while doing research and reading reviews, I see that there have been "MAJOR" issues with BIOS and stability across all of the major motherboard manufactures (IE) ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, ASROCK, ETC... Some of which have resulted in a "Bricked" motherboard, which often has to be RMA'd... Any input, thoughts or suggestions???

Hey guys. I'm going to buy a 1600 very soon and I'm thinking what mb to get. I want to oc it to its limits, so does B350 has anything to be jealous of the x370 chipset?

Hi guys I might need your help. So I recently built this new ryzen p.c: Ryzen5 1600x Gigabyte AX370 Gaming K5 MSI GTX 1070 GSkill FlareX 16GB Corsair 650W PSU Corsair Crystal 460X case (non rgb version) I was out of the loop (i used to build a lot of computers) now that I have set it up it works fine but the cpu temps are slighly higher imo. As far as I know I did everything right. Ordered the AM4 bracket from corsair and bought a brand new H100iV2. At idle or little load it goes around 46-47 degrees and while gaming it touches 65 degrees. But I havent played any demanding games yet just some league and CSGO. I wonder if it goes higher. The only thing I did not do was replace the thermal paste that comes pre applied. and also did not change the backplate on the mobo. But I believe you only do that for intel and replace it with the plastic one they send you in the box. Also the fans got really loud when I installed the corsair link software. I dont know whats up maybe you guys can help me out. The bios reads significantly less than HWMonitor does. While we are at it, the ram blocks the radiator? I mounted it on top first but it doesnt fit. The ram isnt too high almost same size as a vengence or a hyperX I really want to put it at the top and add two red led fans on the front. Thanks in advance

In terms of a swift rating on this board I give it: Construction 8/10 Lighting 7/10 Software -infinity/10 Installation All in all this mobo has been pretty hassle free in terms of installation aside from the fact that the mounting holes on the far right don't match up with those in the inwin 301. I am running it without those stand-offs to avoid any damage to the board. Lighting I. Despise. Red. LEDs. I'm putting up with the red front IO illumination of the 301 until I can get some RGB up there but the top right led on the mobo (racing logo) LIGHTS UP RED! In all advertising by Biostar its RGB but in every consumer video I've seen its red... Severely disappointed, I'll be getting out some electrical tape. When I attempted to contact Biostar directly I got no response. Will update as time goes on. The LEDs that actually work work well, a nice little accent to the stock cooler (rgb yee) and I'm kind of surprised by how nice lit up PCIE covers look. Software Awful in every way imaginable aside from, of course, the rgb control software. The LED controller is actually pretty solid with some nice effects and its easy to use. Quite literally everything else is opaque and a pain in the ass to maneuver around from the fan controller doing basically nothing to the simple way to OC (changing the multiplier) being locked but P-state isn't. The interface is also poorly thought out and very dated looking. OC capability Currently running burntest of P95 on my 1700 using all cores on the hottest setting, 3.6Ghz stable on the stock voltage. About an hour so far and no issues here. 3.725 was a bit too much on stock voltages however and when I have better cooling I'll update with higher voltages/OC Pros: Dual bios Surprisingly good manual Already has AGESA (6/15/2017) Good RAM support (untested as of right now) Subdued PCB color RGB LEDs and lots of RGB header Decent VRMs/heatsink for mATX ryzen (4+3) 2 PWM fan headers on top of PWM CPU header Cons: Software is the biggest dumpster fire you will ever find. EVERYTHING is difficult CPU multiplier is locked, OC is based on P-state (still works but... meh) No wifi/bluetooth IO plate is kind of shite IO is mediocre Top right LED never turns off and is red, despite advertising as RGB (software maybe?)

Hey everyone, I just moved to Spain where I will work from home. I've been using an alienware laptop for the past 6 years, so I thought it was time for an upgrade. I would like to make a gaming/working office. I have around a 5000€ to buy everything: pc, displays, tv, desk, ect... I would like your advice/opinion on the components I selected. I plan on buying everything next week. Prices are really different here from the US, 5-20% more expansive depending on the component. I will buy everything from amazon.es for convenience. Here is the list of items I need/want : PC Other CPU ryzen 1700 320 Display 1 BenQ PD2700Q 380 MOBO Aus Prime X370 - PRO 170 Display 2 BenQ PD2700Q 380 RAM Gskill trident Z 32GB 3000Mhz 300 desk prekit 200 Storage SSD Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 500GB 250 powerline ehernet TP-Link AV500 55 Storage HDD Seagate BarraCuda 2TB 70 switch TP-Link TL-SG105 20 Case Nox NXHUMMERMCB 50 TV LG C6 1900 PSU Corsair CS Series Modular CS850M 120 fans cheapest 15 Cooler Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 90 GPU RX VEGA / 1080ti 800 tot pc 2170 tot other 2950 tot all 5120 Although I play a lot of games, I don't play competitive online. I plan on playing pc/console on the TV only. So I want a build that can get 4k 40-60FPS at high-ultra settings in games similar to witcher or tomb raider. In terms of work I will do a lot of coding, physics simulations, electronic design and for hobby I plan on making games so 3d modelling, Unity/UE, adobe suite, ect... I also plan on watching a lot of movies/series/anime Should I get a better mobo (taichi is at 250€ & C6H is at 290€) or is this one good enough for at least CPU 3.85GHz OC and 2933MHz OC RAM 24/7? I never tried OC before but I watched a few tutorials. I wasn't able to find the ram support (QVL) for this Asus board. Is the Ram I selected compatible? or should I get the Corsair Vengeance LPX (same price)? what's the difference between C14/C15/C16? Is 3200Mhz ram worth 40€ compared to 3000Mhz ram? I chose the Noctua cooler because my room temperature can rise up to 35º (sometimes higher) during summer. and I prefer an air cooler over an AIO. I am already slightly over budget (5000€) So I'd appreciate if you can point me to better components for similar price or similar performance for lower price (Keep in mind prices here are very different from the US). If you believe that the components are a good match I will buy everything by the end of next week (currently waiting for the money to arrive). Thank you for taking the time to read through this post!
