Hello m, I've been having trouble turning on my PC. I took it to a computer guy and left it there for about two hours because he needed to re-build the pc because he didn't know what the problem was, when I came back, the PC was turned on and everything seemed fine, he told me that he yet doesn't know what caused this but that when he re-conected everything, it turned on, he said he even tried with another power supply and it still wasn't turning, he said my PSU was fine using a tester, when I brought the PC home, I was holding it so nothing drastically moves and makes my PC unable to turn on. When I was finally home, I connected the power cable to the PSU and the switch on ON, and nothing turned on, I tried connecting the PC on different power outlets on my house but it still wouldn't turn on, I tried using 3 different power cables but still not signal of power, BUT I connected my USB mouse and LED of the Mouse turned on. So I don't know what is wrong please help!

So I was doing some cable management on my desk to make it look more clean, I disconected my PC from the wall and put in my bed so it wouldn't hinder while doing the cable management. When I was done, I connected the PC to the wall outlet and tried turning it on, and to my surprise it wouldn't turn on, I connected my Mouse to the USB port and my mouse LED turned on, I don't really know what's the problem, I've checked if there is any loose cable but everything seems to be great, Please help!

I turned off the laptop normally shutting it down and when i tried to boot it up again (15 minutes or so later) nothing works. Not even the power light turns on when i press the power button. It's an older model so no warranty, i have replaced the standard HDD with a 850 EVO and it runs win10. So far i have had no problems with it. I tried turning it on with only the battery (no ac input), with battery and ac input, without the battery and ac input. I have not found a working solution for this on Google yet. Does anybody have a similar problem or knows the fix for this?

Hi everyone I have just built my first PC. I installed the OS (Windows 7 Ultimate), some basic programs and drivers. One of the programs that I installed was Live Update 6 which was part of my motherboard software. After some time i rebooted my PC and Live Update found new updates for my software. One of the updates on the list was new version of BIOS. At first I wasn't sure if I should update it but as it was suggested by a program from a disc that came with the motherboard I decided to do it. It started updating all the software but after updating the BIOS the computer rebooted and after turning on again there was no signal on the monitor, mouse and keyboard weren't working and CPU debug LED was lit. I tried clearing the CMOS but it had no effect (I kind of expected that but decided to try it anyway). I have no idea what should I do now CPU: i5-6600k Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming Pro

System Configuration: CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA GS 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Trouble Shooting Steps I Already Did: Make sure your BIOS version is compatible with the CPU generation you're trying to run in your motherboard, you can consult the manual or the manufacturer's website about this. (I built this using PCPartpicker... so I'm pretty sure but not positive that means they are compatible. Is this true?) Check if EVERY power cable is connected. Auxiliary power connectors included. Make sure the cable coming from your monitor is attached securely to the graphics card. Also make sure it is securely attached to the monitor itself. Make sure your PSU is powerful enough to power your complete system. Make sure your monitor works by testing it on a different computer. If you have both a dedicated GPU and an iGPU, try your monitor on both the outputs on the graphics cards as well as on the motherboard. Make sure all connectors and cables are plugged in securely, reseat if necessary. Make sure your RAM, CPU and GPU are plugged in securely, reseat if necessary. If the motherboard you're using has debug LEDs, check the error code and consult the motherboard manual to see what it means. If you have a debug speaker connected to the motherboard, note the beep sequence and consult the motherboard manual or this thread to see what it means. Try clearing your CMOS. (Yes, did this for whole 10 secs) Try booting your computer with only a motherboard, CPU and one stick of RAM attached (if you don't have an iGPU, plug in your GPU as well ). Make sure your GPU works (if you have a dedicated one), try it in another computer. Make sure your RAM works, try it another computer. Make sure the RAM is compatible with your CPU and your motherboard. Additional information that may be relevant I exchanged the mother board for a new one. I'm putting a pea sized amount of thermal paste on the cpu before installing the cooler. Yes, I really did all 15 steps... multiple times. Yes, I really am a noob, please help me before I have to resort to craigslist or something equally as scary/wasteful.

Hey guys I have just recently built my first gaming pc build and am trying to download an os. I downloaded Windows 10 onto a usb and ran it up no problem. But, after I took out the usb and loaded it onto the ssd it would sometimes get to loading device 11%, then loading %53 before freezing. And I even got as close as getting ready but then it would just freeze. I don't think it is a hardware problem because I ran Linux os perfectly fine. Any help please?

First my specs My Hardware: Cpu: AMD Vishera fx 4350 (stock cooling) Mobo: MSI 970 Gaming - no spot for integrated graphics GFX : EVGA GTX 950 ssc acx Ram: 8Gb PNY single channel (I know I'm a peasant) Psu: EVGA 700w Bronze Storage: Hitachi HDD 1Tb Case: Corsair Spec-01 So Just built this today, it wouldn't post, but with some help from these forums I got it to work. Got into the bios changed the boot order, and tried to install windows. It got to installing features, then it crashed, restarting the system on its own showing the msi start screen. A couple more tries, it would never make it, sometimes it wouldn't even get to the msi start image, except it would show codes in the bottom right side of the monitor. All the codes I've seen are as follows: D7 A2 99 92 9C. Thank you for your time your help is appreciated.

Hey everyone! So my mate recently bought a setup incredibly similar to mine because he loves the price per performance, etc. Anyway, I have built many different computers before but I can't seem to get this one working haha. The Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 7 motherboard displays errors in this order before shutting off and restarting (about 30 seconds total: 8, 15, C2 (for about 1/10 of a second), C4, C5 then finally 20 where it remains for anywhere from 10-30 seconds (sometimes longer) before shutting off and restarting. I think we may have bent some CPU socket pins in the process XDDDD His specs are as follows: Motherboard: Gigabyte z97x gaming 7 CPU: i7 4790k RAM: Avexir 2400mhz ddr3 2x8Gb GPU: 2 way SLI gtx 760 PSU: I can't remember but it was okay, it was like a silver 700 watt corsair? I can't remember haha Please help! Fans, liquid cooling, etc. start but bios won't boot. Also, I have tried booting it without the graphics cards plugged in. I have heard there is something to do with the bios needing to be updated but why would mine be okay and his isn't?

Hi I got my monitor fixed once by LG about 8 months ago. Its been fine since then but only recently it has been having a few troubles turning off and on. The problems are the buttons don't navigate so I can't turn it off or into standby also the red light doesn't work. Also the power cored has to be in in a very precise way in order for it to work. It still works but i cant turn it on or off by buttons since they don't work, the power cord has to be in that exact position so at the moment when i go out to turn it off i have to just switch it off by the wall. A few strange things are that when you hold the function button it turns on the red light for as long as it's held. Apart from that nothing else works or no buttons etc, so i can't change sources . Any idea's is welcome if not should i just try and get it RMA-ed again? Thanks, Luke.

Hi guys I'm new here at the community, allthough I've been watching a lot of Linus tech tips on YT. I really love the tips and tricks and it seems to be a nice community with lots adn lots of knowledge. With that said, here's my problem:... I have a Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 2 which is stuck on boot, I can't get past the "Tree of life" bootscreen, I don't even get a progress bar that seems to load... It is just the picture with the child reading underneath the tree... And that's it. I have seen the charging icon with a battery a flash and charger illustrated, but as soon as i try top start it notrhing happens. Neither soft reset, hard reset or anything else seems to work. Does somebody here recognise this problem? Any tips & tricks on how to solve it? Best regards Niklas

My computer has been working fine ever since I installed the new operating system, but all of a sudden today when I turned it on, I was greeted with severe graphical glitches all over the monitor and then a blue screen of death, "Video_Scheduler_Internal_Error." I have absolutely no Idea what has happened with my system, booting into windows normally will not work at all, it will loop restarting, stay on a black screen or stay on a black screen with graphical glitches all over. So safe mode works, and I have managed to get blue screen view and look at what is causing the problem, and I have no idea what I'm doing really so I need to know if whats going on is fixable (graphical issues such as blue lines all over certain colored windows) anyway I hope I provided enough information to get the issue solved (picture of blue screen view) http://puu.sh/m4uuL/edcbf67167.png specs · OS - Windows 10 x64 · Windows 7 was originally installed. · The OS is not OEM, I installed it myself · Age of system - 14 months · Age of OS installation - The current OS installation age is about 5 months · CPU model - i5 4690k · Video Card model - GTX 970 · Mother Board - Asus Z97 Pro Gamer · Power Supply - Corsair, 650w · Desktop computer bluescreenview.txt

Hi, last night I was watching YouTube on my tablet when suddenly the video froze and an error message appeared. I looked at the top bar of the tablet only to see that the WiFi icon was missing, I went into the settings and attempted to turn the WiFi back on but it wouldn’t. The little switch moves but only displays the words “turning wifi on…” and doesn’t do anything. After a minute or so it goes back to being displayed as off. I have turned the tablet on and off several times. However I’ve noticed that when I turn it back on all of that apps that I left running are still running, this leads me to believe that the tablet isn’t fully shutting down. I was wondering if anyone has found a solution to this or knows if there is a way to properly shut down the tablet as I have seen many similar posts online on other android products, thanks. It is a Samsung tab S2 10.1 running android 5.0.2. It isn’t rooted and doesn’t have any kind of custom rom, basically factory new besides any apps I have installed.

Hi everyone, So I got a bit of a problem here. I am in the process of building a computer for a client, and his new computer will not post. I have tried almost everything I could think of while trying to fix this. The computer fans all turn on, the graphics card heastsink turns on, and the CPU heatsink turns on. The computer specs are: AMD X6 FX6300 (with the stock heatsink) Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 Gigabyte 1866Mhz 16GB DDR3 RAM GTX 660 and a PowerBay 650w powersupply. (These specs were his choice, I am just putting it together for him). I have tried 3 types of RAM at 3 different speeds and many different amounts of each. I tried: 1GB 1333MHz DDR3 2GB 1333Mhz DDR3 (Both tried in different channel of the motherboard, respectively). 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 (Dual Channel) 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 (Single Channel) 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 (Dual Channel) 8GB 1866MHz DDR3 (Single Channel) 16GB 1866MHz DDR3 (Dual Channel) I have also returned the motherboard, CPU and RAM to get a brand new set of each, and it still is not working. I now assume that it is my fault that it isn't posting. I am testing it on the motherboard box, with nothing allowing it to short circuit at any point. I have tried attaching a monitor by the DVI-D on the GPU, the HDMI on the GPU, the HDMI on the motherboard, and the VGA on the motherboard. Nothing has worked. I have triple checked all the wires both times I have tested it, and have had 2 other people look over it just to make sure I really am not making a silly mistake like that. I tried getting it to post without a keyboard, then with a keyboard, then with a different keyboard afterward. In addition to this, I have also tried 3 different monitors, all without any luck. The CPU is AM3+, and the motherboard is as well. I have re-seated the old CPU twice before returning it, and I have now re-seated the new CPU twice. The heatsink is properly attached, and has an appropriate amount of thermal paste in between it and the CPU. I hope someone here can help me out, this is really annoying. I have built upwards of 50 computers, and this is the fist one that has driven me this crazy. Thanks. James

Hi! So yesterday I bought ARK: Survival Evolved and since the download finished I haven't been able to start the game. It opens up the menue where I can choose with what memory settings I want and so on and when I click play the "Preparing to launch ARK: Survival Evolved" window pops up and a second later it's gone and the game ins't launched. I've tried all the different memory settings. I've validated the files and I've redownloaded the game. I looked around on the web to try to find a solution but only 2 or 3 other people other than have had this problem as far as I know. Some of the answers have been to update windows and the GPU drivers but I've got all the latest drivers available and I have windows SP1. I really hope anyone has a solution for my problem! Thanks in advance! I hope this is the right section! If not please move it or so. I already asked on the steam ARK discussion thingy but got no answers.

Hey everyone. I have been having an issue lately that when I go to run something that requires Java, I get a notification/Error saying that Java could not start the virtual machine and just crashes. So I checked for an update and there was one, so I decided to do a clean install of Java, uninstall the old version then install the new version. When I went to install the new version, I still get the same issue, so now I am stuck without Java on my system. Any ideas on how to get this working? Thanks for your help Update: I have just tried the offline installer and still nothing. I just restarted my PC and tried again and got the same error. On another note, before coming here to ask for help, I did some looking and the error Im getting is apparently related to a Windows update, so I uninstalled it and am still getting the error.

So here's the tldr, I'm building a new computer for a friend, pretty much a league machine, but it won't boot. The CPU is an and 860k with a gigabyte ga-f2a78m-dh3 mobo, and the graphics is a 265 and. I've determined the graphics card is okay by throwing it in my personal rig, but how do I diagnose the CPU and mobo

Hi all! Any time I try to change any settings in my bios on my MSI Gaming 5 Z97, I get error code A2 on boot. Resetting the CMOS gives me the warning "No operating system is found, please disconnect drives that do not contain an operating system." Disconnecting the drives, booting, and repeating the process with the drives reconnected gets me back to normal. Any help would be much appreciated! 16 GB 2133MHz RAM i7 4790k (Unable to OC because bios) MSI Gaming 5 Z97 2X NVIDIA 760 (asus & evga)

So this just hapened: Sorry for the bad censoring and the german. Basically it says that the contract is only formed upon shipping. I also ordered via payment on delivery. The chances that i will actually recieve 10 980 Tis for that money is close to 0% since the online shop is bankrupt, however i still ordered just for the giggels. Would be a huge laugh if they actually shipped. Edit: Will do a giveaway of at least one card if I really recieve them; but like i said, chance is close to 0%. Update: as to be expected they canceled the orders saying the price was an error. I have no legitimate claim on the cards eitehr so... that's that.
