It started when I was playing valorant when the screen froze and not responsive I did hard shutdown then I decided it's time to clean it from dust, After cleaning the components , reassembling, the first problem hit was one memory chanals did not work I fixed it by reinstalling the cpu somehow worked , But now windows start up with curser on a black screen after login , and noticeable time to boot increases over time to the point it's abnormal, I couldn't do any thing even after going to repair mode and reset the windows to a new one losing everything is still stuck at "getting things ready " many hours past and no changes, I got bsod couple of times "inaccessible boot ...etc" Does any one know what wrong or have any idea what going on ????? Spec I5 2400 6gb 1650 500g hhd

Hello folks, I’m trying to get my bootable windows 10 usb to show up on my Mac. I created using Bootcamp on macOS Mojave and it worked on an old Dell server. Now my new build is not booting and just getting stuck on a flashing underscore. I tried making a new bootable flash drive with a new drive and ran into the same error. Both drives show up on my Mac as exFat drives with a windows partition and register as a master boot record. I tried jumping my eprom and resetting the bios to default with no dice. I can boot into Puppy Dog Linux off of a live USB; but not lubuntu if that helps. right now I’m t trying to make a new drive with UNetbootin to see if that helps. After this I might try and see if that server takes the usb to boot to make sure it’s nothing wrong with the drives w/r/t booting. current build: Asrock b450m pro4 and a Ryzen 2200g wd black 1tb Ssd and silicon power ram. -
Hi, I'm trying to install windows 10 in a old hp laptop. When i select the flash drive from the boot menu. All I get is a black screen. Wt shd I do ?

This is a nightmare series of events for me at this point so I'm just gonna listen everything as simply as possible that has happened up until now. Avast Antivirus kept popping up claiming the firewall was off and that it needed to be turned on, but whenever I tried opening Avast it was in a state of "not responding' or just crashing. I tried to check the firewall in the windows security settings but whenever i clicked the popup it would not open the settings and act as if nothing was clicked. I decided to uninstall Avast clean it off of the pc and then reinstall to see if that would fix the issue. I used Revo uninstaller and cleaned all traces of Avast off the drives. But after restarting the pc when prompted to i then had no internet connect, i restarted the router and even tried a wireless connection rather than a wired but both times still presented the same issue. I could see other networks when using the wireless adapter but when I connected it would just say 'no internet connection' yet all devices in my house still had a connection. I tried to launch CMD in order to do an 'sfc scan' to check for issues but I needed to launch it in admin mode to do so but when I searched up cmd in the search bar there were no results not even Edge results just a black grey box. After looking through a number of posts online I decided to 'Reset' windows and reinstall it through the system settings but when I clicked the 'Reset' button a I got a popup that said 'FVEAPI.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error'. I searched this error up and a post in the Microsoft forums recommended trying to launch in safe mode which fixed their version of this error so I opened MSConfig and selected boot in safe mode and then restarted the pc. On restart all i got was a black screen, no manufacturer logo, no windows nothing. I've tried different ports on my GPU, I've tried ctrl shift win b to see if there is a reaction. I cannot find any useful online to help this situation, and Im just hoping and praying that there is someone on here to help me and drag me out of this nightmare. ANY advice would be appreciated. -
After recently cloning my 500gb HDD's data onto my new m.2, my PC gives me various posts. 1) it boots up, shows my msi post screen, followed by the spinning circle loading, then MSI logo disappears, then spinning circles disappear (followed by an infinite black screen) 2) this is when I unplug my old HDD. Shows recovery environment and error saying something about winload.efi. below that is several options, with the only one bringing me anywhere is the UEFI BIOS screen. I use a b660m-a motherboard paired with an i3 12100f, but I'm sure that that stuff is not the problem. 3) if I get into the repair screen manually (3 restarts after posting). With that, I have put windows onto a flash drive and everything, but it doesn't let me carry over my data, and, while it's not important data, it would be a massive hassle to try and download everything again. Any ideas on how I can get back into windows? I will try to answer all questions. Windows 10 home -

I woke up today and found that my pc kept booting into bios, it was working just fine yesterday. After looking at my storage information everything seems right both my sandisk and seagate drive was still there. However, in boot priority my sandisk SSD seems to have just disappeared. Now it says there are no bootable drives found. Has this happened to anyone? What does this mean? Is my sandisk drive dead?

So I was playing and speaking with one friend, when my pc just went put of game. Black screen, heard something like error( example, wheb you click out of working windows when not allowed to), then I heard sound of my friend and music in background. But monitor shows no signal. I restart pc again hear but no signal. And I let it to cool down a bit, now it started but this blue windows logo. Last time I saw this logo, PC went to repair and I waited fvcking full month to get done. And got priced really high. What the heck is now with it. Its not moving from this logo. I tried to boot without usbs connected but nothing, then i changed sata cables, nothing. Reinserted ram, cable from gpu, and still nothing. I know pc is old but i need it now

I'm trying to do a fresh Windows 10 install on a brand new system, but no matter what I try, when I boot through USB I get a blue screen. I can confirm that the USBs I've tried have worked on other systems. What I've tried: - Using Rufus to create the bootable drive. Tried both GPT and MBR. - Windows 11 ISO instead of Windows 10 - Use the Windows media creation tool to create the bootable drive - Turned off secure boot, turned off fast boot, turned on CSM when using MBR - Updating BIOS - Create a WinPE USB drive which worked, but my ethernet connection didn't work to do a network install. Running setup.exe from another USB drive in WinPE didn't do anything. Specs: Asus Prime Z690-A (BIOS version 2103 09/30/2022) 5600mhz DDR5 RAM i9 12900k RTX 2080 750 watt PSU I would really appreciate some help, I can't think of anything else that it could other than a faulty mobo.

I hope you're doing well and having a great day. If I remove the label of my system partition, it is automatically reassigned on next boot. Is there a way to remove it so it doesn't get reassigned permanently? Thank you.

I have an external hard drive that I use for for all of my music, videos, pictures, along with some older stuff from a previous computer. The computer no longer sees the drive in Windows explorer, but allows me to eject the disk drive and shows up in Disk Management and Device Manager. Device Manager doesn't show any noticeable problems, but Disk Management gives a popup saying that I need to partition the drive. This seemed to start after making notable upgrades to my PC. Specs: Windows 10 Home Asrock AB350 Pro4; Bios upgraded from P4.60 to P5.80 along suggested upgrade path. CPU: Ryzen 7 3800X; Upgraded from Ryzen 3 2200G RAM: 2x G.Skill Aegis 8 GB DDR4-3000 GPU: Geforce GTX 2060 12gb; upgraded from Geforce GTX 1060 6gb PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750w; upgraded from Rosewill Capstone 550w I would very much like to be able to keep my data from this drive as some of it cannot be replaced, and reripping my music from cd's would take weeks and some I would have to rebuy from newer services. I do have almost all of the music copied to my PC, but I would guarantee lose everything else. I don't know if the problem is with windows, or just that the drive failed and I have to replace it. The fact that this happened immediately after a major PC upgrade leads me to believe that it might be the PC that is acting up, but I can't know for sure. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

TL:DR My pc cant initialize or read my from one of my hard drivers, i get an I/O error when i try, the hard drive works in other machines and all its data is intact and backed up. i already tried 6 different SATA cables and all the active SATA ports my MOBO has. Okay here is the long version. Last week, my Seagate Barracuda 4tb hard drive started random disconnecting while in file manager, file manager would close while i was opened to anything on that drive. After a few hours it stopped connecting entirely. This is actually the second time this has happened and i don't remember the fix from the first time. when i try to initialize the disk i get an I/O error. disk management can see the size and model of the drive but that's it, Seatools can grab the basic info about the drive, and Crystal disk info cant see the drive. The hard drive works when attached to another windows 10 pc running the same build, so i backed up my data to an external hard drive i am barrowing. i am at a total loss as to how to fix this issue. so far I've tried: deleting the drivers 6 different cables 4 different ports initializing the disk from device manager scanned it with seatools (seagate diagnostic program) bashed my head into a wall. preyed to the omnissiah if i don't find a fix i am going to try to get a USB dock and use that since i need one anyway but thhat will have to wait until payday. I'm also going to avoid Seagate drives from now on incase it is a driver issue which is unfortunate as they have the cheapest mechanical drives available. -
Hey, would love some help with this. My Plex server is continuously failing on me. My windows spaces Parity drive array disappears randomly. The system is starting to get old and I would like to start fresh but move my windows spaces drive across to my new system. Is this possible without copying the data? just physically moving the drives? *roughly 30TB* running windows 10 CPU i5 6500 boot drive is and old 60GB Kingston SSD 8 x 4TB WD REDs 2 x connected via a PCie to Sata card. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks legends.

After a couple of windows 10 updates earlier my keyboard didn't work in Start menu. I usually type the first letter of the app/software I am looking for in the start menu or search bar in the bottom right hand side. I found a solution online. Computer management > services > touch type keyboard inputs.... > Properties > Set start-up type to automatic > apply . It worked for a while but after every restart the start-up type defaults to manual from automatic. I have to to do this every time after a restart. It never happens after a shut down but only a restart. What's causing this? Thank you.

Hi, when I'm trying to pair my Pixel Buds A with windows 10, they appear as "Unkown Device" and fail to pair. What can I do? I've already tried to reset the pixel buds holding the back button for 30 seconds and I've updated the bluetooth driver to the latest version and also tried to unistall and clean reinstall it, but still nothing works. My laptop is a CLEVO X170KMG. They work with my pixel 6 and my samsung galaxy tab s4. I've read on the internet that bluetooth and windows don't work very well, am I doomed to use wired earbuds?

Hi I was cleaning my PC when I disconnected the boot SSD. After I was done when I tried to turn the PC on I was stuck at the windows loading screen with the dots stuck. I restarted the PC and then it got stuck at the same screen with preaping automatic repair stuck . I tried to enter the win recovery environment but I couldn't get it no matter what button or key I press (which I found online such as F2,F8,F11,F12 shift +f11 etc). I then tried a bootable USB but it also gets stuck at the same screen after I select it as a primary boot drive. I don't have a recovery drive created but even if create a recovery usb from another PC, how am I to get into the recovery environment if all the PC does is get stuck on the boot loader screen. Please help. Thank you.

I am attempting to find data in the windows heap and delete it, either on boot or at install. I have found a tool called Volatility, and I need to run a number of tests between loading updates, triggering feature stacks with ViVe-tool, and do this between versions. Does anyone here have a good recommendation? I need to be able to load, say, 50 instructions at a time, step by step, and be able to check ramspace with Volatility. I am still looking at other memory readers and dispatchers, but for a starting point I think this is better than where I was at before. Ty

Hi all, I need some help with a storage spaces storage pool. OS: Windows 10 Pro SATA Drives: Samsung SSD (Boot), DVD-RW, 2 x WD Blue 4TB, 2 x other HDD's I have two 4TB drives setup in two-way mirror mode via storage spaces, many years ago. The pool is almost full now, and one of the drives is showing some pending sectors, so I snagged two new 8TB drives in a good deal. I intend to replace 2 x 4TB (mirror'd) drives with 2 x 8TB drives, maintaining it in NTFS, and maintaining all data since I have some programs installed in this pool. I'm wondering what the best approach is? I've seen some tutorials on how to do this for drives of the same size, but not for different (larger) new drives, which I expect would create some issues? I also clicked the 'upgrade pool' button, which I understand is some sort of new feature, so I'm not sure if it affects how previous tutorials work. I use the DVD-RW drive, and the two other HDD's for work data. Therefore, it would be best to minimize the downtime of these drives if possible. The way I see it, one way would be to remove the other two work HDD's - mount the 2 new 8TB drives, and set up a new storage pool on those drives. Then, copy everything from the old pool into the new pool, unmount the old pool and rename the new pool's drive path. Is this sensible? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I am using latest version of windows 10. My laptop model is Asus ROG GL552VW. I use tranced M.2 SATA SSD for my OS boot drive. And one Samsung 870evo as a primary drive. Recently I clean install windows 10. After installing windows. The SSD's software not detection the SSDs or any drive. The Tranced SSD Scope says "Please make sure your SSD is contend to a SATA or USB interface!". And Samsung Magician soft not opening it closes immediately I open the software. My windows defender detected App:NetFiletedSDK as a thread. Then I exclude the NetFiletedSDK.sys in defender. Also allowed in Windows defender firewall. But nothing changed or worked. What can I do without installing new widows. I am a developer so installing is very time consuming process and I don't have the time to install the OS and my required software.

I was thinking of dual booting my laptop with Windows 10 and Linux(possibly Pop OS or Linux Mint). My laptop necessarily doesn't give decent battery backup, yeah considering it's a gaming laptop and yeah it makes sense. Even surfing or watching something doesn't last for more then 1 to 1 and half hour(low brightness and everything as well). I thought of dual booting Windows and Linux so that whenever I'm surfing or doing other tasks like coding etc. I can use Linux and when I am doing extensive work or especially gaming I can use Windows. Does using Linux can be help me increase my battery backup, or it backfires and instead consume more power cos the device has two OS's in it? Is it a good idea? -
Hi all- So, I'm looking for a solution to stream LDAC quality audio from my xm4's wirelessly to my windows 10 desktop. I see the BTA30 is looking like my best option...(as I read that windows does not support LDAC natively I see, I guess the consumer can go fuck themselves, and; yet again, Sony is sad)- anyway I'm a huge beginner at audiophile type stuff; especially codecs- so I wasn't super confident about setting up the BTA30 myself, which looks like it has coaxial and optical in/out ports, but also a USB-C port. I saw a similar thread from over a year ago talking about this unit, but it was never answered if/and or/ why LDAC streaming isn't possible when the BTA30 is connected to your win10 desktop (thru USB 3.0?+ does it matter?) via USB-C instead of using the optical ports. If this isn't possible using the devices' own USB-C port, then i'd ask how the hell I would go about hooking it up using the optical ports, if that's my only other option. I'm really looking for the most latency free/lossless experience possible. (yes I know bluetooth= no "lossless", i.e, bad, yes I know- I want to get as close as I'm able to, however) Thanks for yall's time and expertise

I want to install manjaro along side of windows 10 on my gaming laptop (i5 10500h and a 3060) but i want to install manjaro on the second drive in the laptop and idk what to do for the boot partition for manjaro because its not on the same drives and the as the windows boot manager I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem but I know Linux can be weird sometimes and I have also I have lost a win10 installation form something similar to what I'm trying to do now so I want to make sure I install it right and this is my first time in stalling Linux on to a computer with a nividia gpu so I would like know if their any thing special i need to do to get the drivers to work because I have heard how weird they can be plz help if you can and sorry for this being a simply question I just can't for the life of me seem find the info I need else where -
So I was on windows, then it crashed and blue screened, and now it won’t work, I’ve recently installed a new ssd, so I migrated the data from my old one to my new one, then formatted the old one, it’s been buggy ever since, idk how to fix please help ;-;

After switching out my cpu and updating my bios, I got the error 0xc000000e, so I set up a flashdrive to redownload windows. The repair tool failed, so I tried to download it onto my ssd, but it keeps giving me the error "we couldn't create a new partition or locate". I've tried downloading it to my hard drive as well but I get the same error. Does anyone know a fix that doesn't require me having to wipe my ssd(I have some files I can't afford to delete)?
