Radeon RX590 8GB GDDR5 AXRX 590 8GBD5-3DH/OC That purchase in July 2019 was probably the worst computer mistake in my whole life, but I cannot go back without a time machine. Consider I only have $800 to spend, are there any new graphics cards, not used, that would be a very noticeable improvement over this Radeon RX590 Titanic debacle decision??? I just don't want to do another Hindenburg disaster or Space Shuttle Challenger/Columbia accident/disaster when choosing a graphics card this time. Please help. Thanks fellas and a special personal thanks to all MODS.

Windows 10 home 64bit 1909 Mobo: Asrock X570 Taichi Bios: 2.70 CPU: Ryzen 3800X Ram: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3200Mhz (Cas 16,18,18,36,54) GPU: Asrock Radeon 5700XT Taichi OC+ Storage: Samsung 970 Pro NVME 512Gb (Boot), Samsung 860 QVO 2Tb (Games), Sandisk Ultra II 480Gb (Media) Power Supply: Corsair RM750i Peripherals:Corsair K95P Keyboard, CORSAIR Scimitar PRO mouse, Corsair Void Elite headset, Fractal Design C36 AIO. Moniter: Acer Nitro Gaming VG271U Pbmiipx 27" I am using a display port for connection. I bought the monitor a year ago. the cable is only 3 months old. Had the GPU for 4 months. I have been having "spotted" outages. (ex: while playing games or videos, the display seems to lose several pixels. usually in areas like a tear or streaks. possibly even a full black screen.) They happen just fast enough for my eyes to notice, but not really get a clear picture of what happened. Today I had lost signal completely. Resetting the Monitor had no results, unplugging and replugging the cable didnt fix it either. When removing the cable from the GPU while attached the monitor it said no cable. When I do a PC restart without touching anything inside. The display works again and My PC had no errors reported. Even with a hard reset it doesnt boot into repair either. The issue happens when not under load as well as when being used. but never just sitting at desktop with only backround processes running. Below is the DxDiag taken right after startup after failure. When gaming CPU temps: 40-50c, CPU usage:10-30% (depends if Im running the server), GPU temps: 65-78c (fans always 100%) When idle or netflix etc, CPU temps: 30c usage: 5-10%, Gpu Temps:25c The average temp of all other sensors is 27-32c except chipset, that is 50-58c. Below is the letter I wrote to Arctic about the Product Accelero Twin Turbo III if you have one of these a strongly suggest you check your Blue Thermal Pads to be sure your card is not killed the same way mine was. If you did not install the back heat sink this will not apply to you and the product seems to work perfectly until the following happened. They have yet to follow up with me and I will keep you posted. TL;DR the thick thermal pads leaked a sort of fluid on to my card wetting it and causing it to short out. I hope they handle this. I am very upset and my Gaming PC is down until I buy a new GPU. Their cheaper fans seem to preform pretty close to the level of equivalent be quiet! and Noctua at a much lower cost and their higher end fans are pretty (IMO) so im not hating on them but this product cost me my videocard which is bad. I bought this card in 2016 at the height of Crypto mining and it cost almost $400. The MSI Armor fans sounded like a jet taking off which is why i chose this product. It was installed and worked for 90ish days. The letter is as follows: "On Jan 6th (2020) I purchased a Accelero Twin Turbo III And received it about a week later and installed it as per directions onto my MSI Armor RX580 8GB Everything was quiet and running smoother than ever. I purchased a 5 pack of Arctic p120 PWM fans and 2 more Arctic BioniX P120 for other computers I was building because I liked your products so much, I was impressed. I build many systems a year for others. On May 8th my MSI RX580 failed while running Chitubox 3d printing slicing software, which is a very light 3D application. After many tries to restart I put a different Gigabyte RX580 in its place and it booted right up and ran the same Chitubox software with ease. This brings me to today and why I'm writing. I decided it was time to take the Artic Accelero Twin Turbo III (we will call it ATT3 from here) cooler off. I found something rather odd and unexpected. The thermal pads that interface the rear side of the VRM's has leaked a sort of greasy wet onto the RX580 and and heat spreader, each of them bleed this fluid onto the board so badly it caused the board to short out, causing the few hundred dollar issue. My video card sits vertically in my Deepcool Tristellar case and this fluid was also found dripping down the PCB board and pooling toward the bottom where the main VRM row sits. This liquid was also found between the plastic shield and the VRMs heat spreader. I feel very ill about this happening. I paid US $48.93 for the ATT3 the MSI RX580 that sells for 189.99 today I paid more for it when purchased because of the Crypto mining craze. and had to buy another video card as a replacement to the Rx580 since the Gigabyte is for another persons system that is waiting on parts. For the understanding, Im a bit beyond hobby building PC's and avid gaming ,I'm 47 and have been system building since I was 23 in the days of Cyrix 686's and Voodoo video cards alot has changed since then but one thing i think we can all agree on is you don't want any part of your system Wet except the inside of a watercooler which i dont use for the very implications that they can leak. I have pictures of all of this. Please let me know something on this." As you can see from the included pictures its very wet and this is after its been sitting off for a few days while waiting for another videocard. Anyone else experience anything like this? BTW i live in Florida and my PC sits atop a pedestal behind my large monitor in a corner where it would be impossible to get wet. my Tristellar is run without the shell over the videocard and the right shell has large opening cut to allow tons of air to pass my mainboard. While the power supply and HD dock side is left stock. System make up: Ryzen 5 2600, WD M.2 Black 1TB w/o cooler (the board has a cooler fin for it) 3 different WD HHD's equaling 12 TB of additional storage and back ups Noctua low profile CPU cooler be quiet 120mm system fan Gigabyte B450 Arorus I WIFI Micro ITX G.skill ram 3000mhz speed, no RGB, dont remember exact modules Phanteks Neon RGB 400mmX4 lighting the front of the case. Seasonic gold+ 700 semi modular Gamestorm/Deepcool Tristeller case which has been modded to be mostly open air especially the GPU and sits high up on over my monitor. Yes I post this here which is a more detailed account of how I figured out it was the video card. Sorry this post is so long!

My dudes, the yellow circle the thingie blew up.... is this thing dead for good, or can a electronic repair guy get another thingie and re solder it... this is an Asus STRIX 1080ti if that matters any.... For those wondering, a copper heatsink slid off the so called "ADHESIVE" tape that turns out wasn't so freakin adhesive'y, and touched the capacitor thingy causing a short I guess and blowing it up... thanks for any help

What if Linus were to make his own video card? If he trashed NVIDIA then why doesn't he make his own or his team make a custom gpu that would surpass NVIDIA's 2080 ti, or Titan, and AMD's Vega 64 and 5700?

Hello guys, I have attached a photo of my specs. I know i need to upgrade but I can`t right now, so my PC keeps on restarting or just freezing and then giving me a black screen(then refreshing) whenever I game, or even watch youtube videos in full screen. And in theory i should be able to play mdfking Dota and listen to youtube at the same time. Any ideas why ? I CLEANED EVERYTHING INSIDE, I`m kinda thinking that since the video card is so old, it might be a driver`s issue. But i`m not really sure, whenever is restarting it gives a graphic related error. In case you need to know i`m using a 22" LG VGA Flatron w2243S

Was looking around google and couldnt find any true silent gpu's out there that aren't mid tier (gtx 750 , 1050ti was all I found), I am not big on watercooling or fans (even the strix smart cool fans on my 950ti are kind of pushing it) I was wondering if anyone knew any ways or any brands that sell passive cooled 1070s or 1080s or even a Titan, that are entirely passive cooled OR if there is some sort of site that manufactures custom fanless aftermarket passive cooled heatsinks for such cards? ,thanks yall

My Asus RX 470 4GB Coil whine and crashing while play games
veisien posted a topic in Graphics Cards
I am having a lot of problem with this graphics card (ASUS ROG Radeon RX 470 STRIX 4GB) : coil whine and crashing. I recently brought this card on newegg 3/31/2017, after the computer is build and everything installed, i downloaded few games to test and run benchmark to see how it performs. The card started making noise and crashing when i am playing games. System spec: System1 Intel Pentium G4560 Ram G.SKILL Aegis 8GB 288-Pin ASRock B150M-HDS LGA 1151 EVGA 430wat PSU VIVO "SMART" Micro-ATX SanDisk SSD PLUS 120GB & 500GB HDD Windows 10 Card makes more noisy while i am lunching Hitman Absolution, i can lunch far cry 3 fine and when i go to load up campaign the card crash, nothing on screen after, when this happen the monitor behaves like there nothing connected to it, reset the computer won't work i have to restart. 3 monitor test I tested few cards in this computer it works fine, MSI GTX 1070, Asus GTX 760, Zotac GTX 1080. I have tested this Asus RX 470 in multiple different computer and the problem is the same, this other computer processors are: i5 6600k, i7 4771, FX-8350. I have installed the system fresh every time and with latest drivers and also download the driver from asus website, windows 10 was used in all these computer. I contacted newegg about the problem, and they said to send the card back for replacement, i just got the new one today, and the problem is the same. I want this card so bad, i never had amd graphics card before, and i got this card for $149.99 with $30 rebate which end up $119.99. My steam library is poor, i have few games to test the card with, i mostly play league of legends. After few research I fixed the coil whine by using AMD Radeon software, i limited the screen refresh rate 144hertz or 60 depends on which monitor i use. Has anyone encounter this problem and fixed, is there more games that this card can't play? sorry about my bad inglish- 4 replies

I'm about to buy parts and build a PC for gaming and editing. I heard good things about Ryzen 5 has enough performance and good budget. My build gonna be Ryzen 5 1600 + B350 AM4 + 1x8GB 2666MHz + RX 480 8GB I don't have much knowledge and experience about PC. Can you tell me how to do first boots and how is it going to work properly? What to do next after boots with BIO? What I have to install and update for first use? (give me tutorial videos if you have) I knew MSI just released 3 new B350 motherboards. Do they better than MSI B350 Tomahawk? I feel like its not safe to buy Tomahawk coz read a lot of reviews about common issues. Don't know which B350 should I buy (any good and bad experiences). Can I OC to 2667MHz using 2666MHz speed RAM?

This is a pcpartpicker link to the computer that I want to build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zcrLBP. Please change it as you please to make it more cost effective. I really want to keep the NZXT Manta and if possible try and get a video card with a backplate, please update me of any changes, and if you're using a site other than the ones on pcpartpicker use microcenter. I'm really stuck and I don't know how to get a good price to performance. BTW: This PC will mostly be used for 1440p gaming. EDIT: I already have a 2tb hdd EDIT2: I have made a second list tell me what's wrong with it: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DvMDNN
