I know this question has probably been beaten to death already, but what would be the best AIO cooler for about 100 bucks? My case accepts double 120mm/140mm or triple 120mm/140mm. Looking to cool my i7 4770k so I can overclock to about 4.5-4.6Ghz. Mainly looking for the coolest temperature. I was looking at the Swiftech H220 because I heard it has the best performance, but does anyone else have a different recommendation?

so, i got myself a H220 on a good deal. I know that some of their units have pump problems, but i got one anyways, but seems like mine is no exception. First off, i mounted my H220 with the reservoir down (see pictures), because it wouldn't fit the other way around (res up). Is that a problem? My temps are also pretty terrible, with 50-60 °C idle, with all fans on 100%. The only way to lower it to sub 50 °C is to turn the pump up to ~60%, which is obnoxiously loud. I have a video about the noise, but Youtube's a bitch, so no video. It's similar to this guy's H220, but not THAT crazy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aOg9XFnRds It's a high pitched flickering noise, and at full load the pump goes nuts! I read a lot about air bubbles getting catched inside the pump but idk what it really is. Other people wrote that their H220 was dead silent, so i am hoping for the best. I could RMA it, but i would like to put that as last option. I don't have money or space to put an extra reservoir in the loop, but i want to keep the H220 because i do plan to expand my loop with Maxwell.

Hey all, Right now I am completely fed up with the pump noise I'm getting from my H220. Simply put, it's not silent enough, but the problem is not actually the pump's fault. I have the pump plugged into the Swiftech PWM splitter that came with the H220 unit, which is then plugged into my motherboard's PWM header (though I have tried plugging the pump directly to the motherboard's PWM headers). The motherboard in mind is the MSI Z77MA-G45, and it is reading the rpm of the pump at somewhere around 2500 rpm. I want to get the pump down to as low as it can get (which I believe is somewhere around 1200 rpm), but whatever tinkering I do in the BIOS and in SpeedFan comes to no avail. I am out a warranty on the motherboard and I have actually RMA's this motherboard once already for this exact issue. To isolate the issue, I have plugged the pump to a separate ASUS motherboard that I have, and I have complete control over the pump with that motherboard. Unfortunately, my current rig will not allow me to downgrade to that ASUS motherboard, and I do not want to completely overhaul this system yet, so I am looking for some way to control this 4-pin PWM pump. Does anyone know of any fan controller or any other possible solutions that I could do to drop my pump's speed? I don't think I'm savvy enough to do anything DIY, so I would prefer a complete solution, but I do realize that this is something most people don't shop for. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. [Also as a side note, I have the rig fully enclosed in an Antec P280 (which is a "silence" oriented case) and the H220 pump is fairly audible. The rig is under a desk and about 4 feet away from my ear.]

I don't care if this is a fair comparison or not. Please just tell me which one performs the best and don't leave any irrelevant post. Thanks in advance!

Hi, My water cooling loop has been complete for a while but my D5 pump is the noisiest part of my system. I can't really hear any of the fans but I can hear the high pitch whining of the pump. Is there any way that I can make this quieter? I have the non-vario version of the pump so I will have to use another method to silence it. What I was thinking was to make some sort of box made of acrylic, and put it over the pump. Would something like this have much of an effect? The pump is sitting in a bay res in the drive bays so it is hidden and doesn't need to look extremely pretty, Any tips would be helpful. Thanks

Does anyone know how to get there hands on swiftechs h220 (aio) cooler in the usa. I am being driven insane and need this cooler (and yes I am going to use high static pressure fans). APPARENTLY there is copyright and patent issues within the us that is causing swiftech to not sell these in the us. This is making me insane. I am looking for somewhere reputable to sell me this item at it actual price range 130-150 and not mark the product up 50 dollars or more. Also id like to not pay for 40 dollars in shipping because its coming from Malaysia or some obscure eastern country(I joke but one \Korean site wanted me to pay 60 dollars in shipping at a 160 dollar price -.-). Anyone know? and yes I do want a reputable source not a place where I have to worry about my credit card information being stolen.

Exactly as the title says. I know that Asatek says it violates a patent and they stopped the sale in the US but is it legal to own one in the US if you were to import it from Canada or other places?

Installing Noctua Fans on Swiftech H320/H220
jonesy posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I just purchased a H320 and was planning on running 6 Noctua NF-F12's on it in push/pull. I found the supplied screws (M3x6mm I believe) are ever so slightly too short because of the silencing rubber on each corner of the fans. If I take this off then the screws are just about long enough. Has anyone else found the same issue? In the meantime, I have order some slightly longer screws so I can keep the rubber on I will update once they arrive and have tested this out. Thanks. -
NCIX: http://bit.ly/1kuzMNo Amazon: http://georiot.co/495q Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103196 Buy Direct: Cooler Master: http://www.cmstore-usa.com/glacer-240l-cpu-water-cooling/ The Glacer 240L is one of the best liquid cooling solutions on the market today. It's the result of a collaboration between Cooler Master and Swiftech to create a CPU cooler with the simplicity of an all-in-one, pre-filled water cooler, and the performance and upgradability of a custom water cooling loop So basically the choice is yours. You can use it the way it comes (even the mounting hardware for Intel is pre-installed) or you can add more radiators, GPU blocks, extra pumps, the works and turn it into a full-fledged water cooler.

I just recently installed my Swiftech H220 and the Noctua NF-F12 fans with it. the H220 manual seems somewhat vague on where to plug everything in, but what i got from it was to: -plug the pump into the "CPU fan" header, and the fans into my motherboards "Opt fan" (option fan) header that is directly next to the CPU fan header. the pump runs around 2k rpm at idle and the fans sit around 650 rpm at idle. if i switch the fans to the CPU fan header and the pump to the option fan header, will that make a difference in the performance or cooling? or is it best to leave things where they are?

I have been doing some research on an good, affordable 360mm AIO and it seems the best option for me at this point is the H320. But the problem is, I can't find it anywhere as it seems that PC case gear and Scorptec have stopped stocking them. If anyone can find somewhere in Aus that sells them (preferably not ebay) please post a link. Thanks

Cooler Master, with partnership and help from minds like Swiftech, has released an AIO which is fully customizable, just like the H220. This new cooler is specifically made for the US as the Asetek v. Swiftech ordeal with pantents. This AIO is fully capable of supporting more water cooling components as it is not fully sealed. @Ghost , your thoughts? Source: techpowerup.com SPECS: Official Product Page given by @IsaaX : http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=10101&product_name=Glacer%20240L Info Given by @Phelan : From Swiftech's Website: Available now! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103196 Thanks to @IsaaX we have further information of the cooler itself According to him and what the picture shows, the pump is a "debadged" Swiftech pump found on H220/H320. This shows that we still are able to get the reliable and funcionality of the classic DIY AIO everyone loved! Our own forum user @IsaaX has now made a build with the cooler in this thread! As you can see the temperatures are VERY well preforming. Thanks for the share @IsaaX !

Hello folks I am strongly considering getting an H220 due to its strong performance reviews. But what i have not yet seen is any endurance reviews. After reading some of the reviews on newegg I am slightly shied away from jumping into this purchase. I really want this unit, but to have it fail much the same way as these users then it's a bit of a dealbreaker. Some reviews.... http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=35-108-183&SortField=3&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Keywords=%28keywords%29&Page=1#scrollFullInfo What do you guys think?

Hi all. I was wondering if I could pair these three components together - The Define R4 + H220 + MSI Z87 G45. I want to fit the cooler at the top of the case. Nothing on the outside. Thanks very much.

Hey everyone What is the best fan for a SILENT system with 4 radiators Swiftech Helix 120mm on 4x480mm Radiators Swiftech Helix 140mm on 4x560mm Radiators Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1150rpm on 4x480mm Radiators NoiseBlockers? If you have any other suggestions for better solutions please post them below Thanks

I'm making a mostly white rig, and was considering Swiftech Helix 120 fans. Can anyone tell me how loud these fans are (not just a measurement, but if it's an annoying sound or just a low woosh)? If you could compare them either nf-f12s, sp120 quiet editions, or spectre pros that would make it a lot easier to gauge for me. Thanks!

So for those of you who have seen any of Linus' Water cooling guides, you know that Linus' favorite pump is the MCP 655. I agree that this is a wonderful pump for the performance and quietness, but there are a few outstanding issues with the pump that can be improved if you want to pay the price. 1) This pump doesn't use G1/4 standard (the thread that most fittings screw into that is used with most water cooling products). This is the biggest deal breaker for people who don't like the look of the ugly barbs, or aren't comfortable with stretching their tubing if they aren't using 1/2" ID tubing. There is a really simple fix for this, you can tap the threads for a fitting yourself, or buy it pre-done at the link below http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16737/ex-pmp-203/Swiftech_MCP655_Variable_Speed_12v_Water_Pump_w_G14_Thread_Ports_Perfectly_Tapped.html 2) The Pump is ugly plastic and looks like crap This is another problem that is a big deal, but can be easily fixed. There are multiple mod kits for this pump, like this one http://www.bitspower.com.tw/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6_24&products_id=1398

Hi All-- I am looking to get into Liquid Cooling for my computer (Mainly for something to do, and something to look cool ;) ) I have read the Tom's Hardware sticky and watched the Tech Tips episode on WC-ing, and have decided that for now, a Kit is the best path for me to take. I have the i5 3570k and a GTX 660 right now (Planning to upgrade my GPU in the next cycle to either a GTX 800 series or to a Radeon 8000 series next year) At that point I will add a GPU to my loop. I have look at all of the recommended kits on the Tom's Hardware sticky and have found two that are about the same price, but I can't find comparisons anywhere... The two I have been looking at are the XSPC RayStorm D5 Laing EX360 (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/xsrad5exwaki1.html) AND H2O-X20 Elite Series (120mm x 3 version) (http://www.swiftech.com/h2o-x20-elite.aspx) Which would be best and most reliable? I would like to overclock my CPU, and when added, my GPU. I also like good customer service behind it. Or is there something better for the money? I live in the US, but am in Michigan so NCIX.ca shipping isn't too bad if an H220 would be better for me. Thanks, AM98

Between Tiny Tom Logan's review and Linus's review of the H220, it was a toss up whether the H220 was worth its weight in gold. Paul just answered that question with a round up of all four of today's premium all in one coolers on the market today. Too bad the H220 isnt being sold anymore :(
