I recently purchased a Ticwatch E off of Amazon. It arrived and I paired it with my iPhone 6s. It worked great for a couple of days, but then all of a sudden it disconnected and it wouldn't ever reconnect. I tried factory resetting the watch and connecting it again. That time, right after the initial setup it disconnected again and would not reconnect. This is my second Ticwatch E (returned the first one for the same issue) and I am at a loss for what could be the issue. If anyone could help me sort this out that would be greatly appreciated.

So there are a lot of deals for smartwatches this holiday and I am interested in a Samsung one because I am already in the Samsung ecosystem, with my Samsung phone, already using Samsung Pay, etc. That being said I can't find many honest comparisons between the S3 Frontier and the Galaxy Watch that really highlight the differences beyond low effort "this one is newer, buy it" on SEO-optimized blogspam sites. Besides the Galaxy Watch not supporting MST Samsung Pay and having superior battery life what are the main differences between the two? I know the Galaxy Watch has a faster processor but what does that mean in practical terms? I never have seen anyone complain the S3 Frontier is slow, so in real life terms, I never have seen anyone tell me the differences beyond reading off a tech spec sheet and honestly I am doubting if a few extra mhz is a noticeable upgrade. Some more in-depth reviewers note that the Galaxy Watch uses a newer version of the Tizen OS, but almost no one goes in depth the differences and changes made beyond a version number change. If anyone has any experience with these two devices, or point me to a comparative review that may help me make my decision I appreciate your feedback and insight. With the S3 Frontier set to go on deep deep sale this Black Friday ($190 at Costco, $199 at Target/BestBuy) do you think the Galaxy Watch is worth almost 70% more?

Mostly I'm looking for a simple wearable to see whatever notification just blew up my phone. I don't need fitness tracking, GPS or watch-based cellular. I'm a noob to this category so all I've really seen so far is either a Fitbit on the cheap at Amazon, or the iWatch on the top end. Can anyone point me in the direction of something in-between that has good battery life & build quality but isn't gonna cost my other t*sticle? I'll take the options listed above if I need to, but I'd prefer not to pay extra for features I probably won't use much. I'm on Android with a G5S+ running 7.1.1 if that helps. Won't be buying until after the holidays (USA), but that will give me plenty of time to dig into the specs once I know where I can start.

I was wondering if it would be possible to build an app for wear os that would receive a bluetooth audio stream from the phone it is connected to so that I could connect earbuds to my Ticwatch Pro and listen to music through my watch and still watch videos on my phone, not at the same time or anything. I don't see the point of being able to listen to music on a smartwatch when the earbuds you would likely listen to them on are the ones you like to use with your smartphone. I recognize that some headphones have the ability to connect to two devices at once but that is not a very common feature.

Hello, im iphone 6 plus user. Choosing a smartwatch, hate Apple watch for screen size and battery life. Looking for Galaxy Watch, but afraid of locked features. Looking for garmin fenix 5x, 5x plus looking too expensive but have maps. Any other suggestions? I'm a student who goes for a walk + pushups+ bicycle+longboard. Maybe sometimes go swim in summer.

I know it sounds obscene to build a Casio modded smartwatch when they've released a dedicated smartwatch here: but if you think about it, the smartwatch looks delicate and fancy than the original Casio watch. The aesthetics are way different than the rugged durable look of the original. I think the dimensions of the G-shock watch would be able to fit the rounded smart watches like some Samsung watches. Just remove the straps and remove the hardware of the G-shock watch away, then easily put in the smartwatch system into the G-shock. Advantages would be: Looks vintage can be used for novelty, can be worn/ used as a smartwatch(Bluetooth, GPS, etc), when people ask what watch is that just show them its a smart watch and then look at their reactions. Disadvantages: buttons would be useless, some of the protective guard on the frame of the watch would be covering the monitor, probably have to use only wireless charging, have to look for specific watch types to fit inside the G-shock. Overall, it would be a cool video on the modding of the watch, some entertainment of Linus trying to mod it.

I have a huawei mate 10 pro and am looking for a smart watch to go with it. Want to be able to interact with it like with google assistant and navigate with maps. I have heard that tizen has some limitations on phones that are not samsung. which would be better wear OS or tizen??

I am thinking of buying a Smartwatch and was holding off till the release of Galaxy Watch 3 but its almost same as the Active 2. I was almost certain to buy Galaxy Active 2, but I target on using the "Smart" features of the watch more than the Health features and I don't really like Bixby and prefer Google Assistant and Wear OS instead, so was confused by the Fossil Gen 5. If you have any experience or reviews with either of these, please help me out. Also, if there is any other sub $300 watch that i can use with my Android Phone and might be a better option please do mention that as well.

If anyone here owns one of the new Q Venture Gen 4 watches, I'm interested in knowing the battery life you are getting out of it. I was interested in one, until I read reviews on Fossil's website claiming battery life around and below 12 hours.

I'm in the market for an Android smart watch after I ditched my iPhone and Apple watch. I want something that supports Android Wear 2.0, and something that has NFC so I can use Google pay. I'm open to just about any options, I don't need anything with cellular or GPS, but I'm not against it. Having a waterproof or water resistant watch would be nice though. Let me know what you have in mind.

Hey LTT Forums! I’ve been using my trusty G-Shock for about 3-4 years now and it’s worked perfectly until I was too lazy to change the battery and I’ve been toying around the idea of getting a new watch. So since it would be the only watch I’ll be having I wanted it to be discreet and be usable like a normal watch without being connected to a phone and also not look like a smart watch (not a full screen but maybe a digital time readout instead of a configurable screen and then an included screen) since I’m gonna be wearing this too school where they don’t let us get smart watches or phones I want it to be perfectly usable and when I get back home and go out I would like it to show me all the info I wanted like reading out my notifications or measuring my steps etc etc. something like the Razer Nabu watch but without the horrible quality complaints (I’m also used to a large and bulky design) also maybe around the same price point as the Nabu. Help me out! and Thanks!!

Hi So my previous smartwatch Moto 360 (1st gen) just gave its last breath about a month ago. I really enjoyed it and started looking for a new smartwatch. I found a lot of nice watches but most of them don't have the full WearOS installed. My questions to everybody who is reading this: - Is it a good time to buy a new smartwatch or should I wait for upcoming smartwatches? - Do you have any recommendations ? Kind regards Pieter (current device OnePlus 5T)

So i bought a used Gear S2 from a friend for 50€ which is basically in pristine shape (he owned it for 2 years but only really used it for about half a year before basically resting it on the shelf and letting it sit there). I'm currently using it everyday, with all the automatic s-health features disabled to save some battery at least, but i have the feeling that it drains the battery very quick. I usually charge it up in the evening to 100% before wearing it while sleeping (airplane mode). When i wake up i have around 95% left but it definitely looses a lot of charge just by looking up the time occasionally, e.g. i am sitting at 79% right now, after using it for 5 hours today (Watch is always connected to my phone via bluetooth, i'm not using any apps or crazy watchfaces, i'm just checking the time and my notifications every now and then). Replacing it battery looks pretty easy to do, it costs 28€ on ebay, however since i never owned a smartwatch before i really don't know how long those batterys should last i mean it's 250mAh anyways. It would be nice if someone with a similar smartwatch could share his experiences and overall battery performance with me and therefore help me decide if buying a new battery would actually be worth it.

Is there any truly standalone smartwatch out there? One that I can; Receive and make calls/texts Use atleast 3g data networks (for light web browsing and music streaming) be compatible with bluetooth speakers have enough storage for a few hours of music Be under 300USD BE MY PHONE I absolutely suck at the smartphone thing, not into social media, don't make that many calls or texts, don't like phone games. Hey, guys. I've tried posting this question on other forums, but no one seems to want to help me out. I've wanted a smart watch for the longest time, but I don't want to spend a lot of money on features that I'll never really use. I don't know the best way to go about finding the watch I want except for asking other people what they think. Basically, I was wondering if there are any good smartwatches out there without all the fitness tracker stuff. I feel like all those heartbeat monitors and extra GPS really drive up the price. Why would I need an extra GPS... That's what my phone is for. I'd like a smartwatch to *Sync well with my Android phone *Allow me to control my music from the face *Allow me to use Google Assistant That's seriously it. I don't need the pedometer. I don't need the GPS. Big faces are nice, as they're easier for me to see. An OLED display would also be nice so the time could always be on. And of course, as cheap as possible. I'm not Linus. I don't have money for 60 1080Tis just lying around. Thanks for the help!

I've been considering getting a smartwatch for a while now, but they are so expensive. Here are my criteria if you can help: -iPhone 8 compatable -one waking day of battery or more -vibrate on notifications -analog (at least looking) face (I'm old-fashion like that) -slightly complicated design (like below, I'm weird like that) -under $200 -not even necesarily a smartwatch, I've seen some hybridwatches that seem ok, but I'd never heard of them before today. Thanks if you can help or give me some advice!

Greetings! I'm looking for a new smartwatch (It's in the title, duuuh ) that can replace my broken Samsung Gear S3 Frontier. Requirements: Available in EU. Minimum of 24 hours of battery life (preferably more). Not too bulky (like the Casio Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20). Maximum price is $450. Water resistant (IP67 and up). Trusted brand (LG, Samsung and so on...). Works with Android. I'm open for other suggestions too

I've been looking at smartwatches for a while now but I am so undecided on what to get, so i would like to ask you guys for help please I'm currently using an S7 Edge, with plans to change my phone in December and I have been looking at the ticwatch e/s. I have some criteria and questions for/about smartwatchs; -Features; -Wear Os, Samsung watches look great and have amazing features (like the rotating bezel) but the tizen OS is limited in apps -GPS -Waterproof for swimming would be preferable -Decent battery life, at least 1 full day of moderate use -NFC Questions; -Do all Wear Os watches have a physical keyboard to reply to messages? -Can you view basic web pages on a smartwatch I know Samsung are supposedly putting Wear Os on their S4 watch and I am curious to see what the rumoured pixel watch will be like, So I was maybe looking at the Ticwatch e/s to just dip my toes in the smartwatch area, but does anyone know if the ticwatch have a keyboard on screen for message replies? Any and all recommendations would be great regardless of price, even if some above features are excluded. Also I have ruled out a few already; Samsung watches, Fossil Q , Fitbit, Huawei Watch 2. Thanks in advance

So I just got my Ticwatch E the other day and i'm trying to figure it all out and would like to ask you guys for app recommendations and help. First, I installed Facebook messenger on my watch, but can you not start a conversation with a contact? Is it only replies? Seems odd to have an app you can select but just says "yes it's installed and you receive messages". On that note does it need to be installed on the watch get get the notifications if the watch is connected to my phone? I thought all notifications got pushed to the watch to tell you they are there. What fitness app would you guys recommend for keeping track of steps, like setting goals and heart rate(tracking cycling would be great too)? I tried the Mobovi app and it seemed wildly inaccurate and i'm not a fan of google fit. Any other must have apps? My phone is an s7 edge if that has any relevance. Thanks in advance Edit: Just playing about with it now, it's the same for spotify, selecting the app on the watch just brings up recent played somes and that's it, you can't navigate. But if you play something from your phone, the select the notification on the watch, you can browse and play your songs (However pressing your songs doesn't bring up a list, just shuffles everything, even though you can get a list for albums and artist, seems very strange), this seems really round about and backwards, is it just me?

Hello y'all I'm a registered nurse looking to make my work days a little easier with the use of a smartwatch. The most important thing is I need a watch that can handle being regularly cleaned with "stronger" chemicals (I.E isopropyl alcohol solution and/or chlorhexidine depending on if what it may be exposed to) The more durable the watch the better I would prefer something that uses Androidwear (I have a google pixel 2 xl) but there's just SO MANY @.@ I would like to use it mainly to be able to text the docs if i need orders and to set timers for IV's and stuff to better manage my time during a shift without having to actually pull out my phone and expose it to my nasty hands as well (and "look unprofessional" in front of a patient -_-) Any advice would be appreciated.
