  1. Hello everyone, I have a PC with this config: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with stock cooler Motherboard: Asus Prime B450-Plus Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2*8) DDR4 3000 Graphics Card: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming X3 OC 8GB PSU: Cooler Master 750W Gold plus Lexar 500GB nvme + 2TB Samsun Qvo 870 Sata SSD + 2TB Seagate HDD Monitor: ViewSonic XG 27" 1440p 144hz I built this PC about 1.5 years ago and I've been using it for mobile game development with Unity. So apart from some times that I repack art asset atlases with compression that is using CPU for like 5 to 30 minutes it is not doing that much. I used to play games like Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty Moden Warfare at 1440p but haven't done that in a while. Anyway, about six months ago it started showing some weird behaviors. When I shut down my computer, I couldn't power it up by the power button. Until I used PSU button at the back to cut off the power for like 5 minutes and then the power button would work. It was like this for a while on and off and I couldn't find out what's the reason. One time I decided to re-assemble the PC but it didn't fix it. Then it got fixed for some reason I don't know. This was the first thing. Then a month ago I started to play Dota 2 again. It was fine, no problem here, until one day I connected my 2TB western digital External HDD to the front panel USB and the PC shut down immediately without any error or anything. I turned on the PC and it was working fine, the HDD also worked fine. After a week connected the HDD again, but this time I used the USB port in the back and it happened again, the PC immediately shut down with no error. Then after another couple of weeks it started to shut down while playing game. Just like before it shut down with no error or any sign. It was like the power went out but the LED strip on the motherboard was working. I noticed if I immediately after the shutdown (like withing a second of it) hit the power button it would stop working just like before. I googled a bit and got the suggestion that maybe it's related to the PSU so I looked at it and noticed that the last time I re-assembled my PC I put it upside down inside the PSU enclosure so the fan was on the top and it probably didn't have enough air intake to cool down the PSU while gaming. I put it in correctly and it fixed the problem for a day but it started again and this time it got worth. Before it would shut down after 4 or 5 hours but now after an hour of gameplay. For the USB issue I tried to narrow it down. With the External HDD if I connect it to any of the USBs on the PC it would shut down in windows or BIOS. If I use the USB hubs on my monitors or my keyboard it does shut down. I used my mouse, keyboard and flash drive and none of them caused the PC to shut down. I used only the cable without attaching the HDD and it didn't cause any shut down. For the shut down during game I used HWiNFO to monitor the PC and all the temperature I could see were normal. CPU was around 80 and GPU was 70 all the time. I used a memtest to see if the RAMs were OK and a three hour test didn't show any error there. I also used a synthetic benchmark (a combination of Cinebench r23 multi core and FurMark for 30 minutes) and the PC was fine and stable. The GPU and CPU were thermal throttled to around 1815MHz and 3.8GHz respectively during that time but no power limit or anything and no shut down. Now I have couple of ideas. I think it's either Motherboard or PSU but I don't have access to any extra of any of these to test it out. I think maybe the PSU got a defect during the time I was using it upside down and now it can't handle sudden surge of power that may happen during game but since the synthetic benchmark is steady it doesn't have any issue handling that. And for the USB it maybe something is wrong (a capacitor maybe?) with the HDD that acts like a short circuit (subscribe to the channel, it's a good :)) ) and causes the PSU to shut down the PC. Maybe these are not related at all, frankly I have no idea at right now. Can anyone help me with these? Any ideas?
  2. So I've had the same machine for well over 3 years, and just recently I decided to do a clean install of windows 10 when I upgraded from an HDD to an SSD. Everything worked out great, the clean install went smooth and the OS detected my storage drives when I reconnected them and I've had virtually zero problems. Except for I have this rage inducing issue where occasionally, my computer will respond to a keyboard or mouse click and turn itself on. I do not want this. Ever. At all. I have a cat and I don't want him randomly turning on the pc while I'm away. I want the devices to bring my system back from sleep, hibernate, and screen savers; but that is it. I've tried everything I could think of. Played with nearly every setting in device manager and my asus bios. I even uninstalled the drivers for both the mouse and the keyboard in hopes that would fix it. I check everything for an update on a daily basis: windows, asus, amd. The only thing in the Asus BIOS I saw was to "allow USB power delivery when in soft off (s5) state", and that I have disabled. I'm at a loss. The machine NEVER did that before the new install. Can anyone help? I can replicate the problem pretty consistently, and it's as frequent as every other shutdown. Sometimes I get lucky and I'll get three or maaaaaybe four cylces before it starts to act up. AMD Ryzen 3700X ASUS ROG Strix 4500-FGaming 32GB RAM GTX 1060 6GB Samsung 870 EVO SSD USB M&K
  3. Hello, i have an issue with my new graphics card and new psu, this are my specs (I Have a Lenovo Thinkcentre M710s): -Intel Core i5-6500 3.20GHz -8 GB RAM DDR4 -EVGA 500w 80+ -AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB So, my motherboard has a 10-pin atx, my new psu has 20-24 pin so i bought an adapter especially for lenovo slim motherboards, i can connect and turn on everything with the new gpu, i installed the drivers and works fine, but when opening 3D games(doing stress tests works pretty well), the pc turns off and doesn't respond if i try to turn it on again. if i disconnect the 24 to 10 pin adapter and conect it again i can turn it on again, i think the psu is turning itself off for protection, i've been calculating watt usage and i think the adapter is causing a bottleneck. i've read this from an amazon review of the adapter: Sorry if my english is not the best. Thank you.
  4. Hi there! I built my pc last year in february, from what i can remember i had the problem ever since. Since then i rebuilt the pc in a new case, with a new GPU and Motherboard. The problem remains or even a bit more frequent. The problem: A lot of the times, when i boot my pc (let's say 75%), i get one of these problems: - bsod with different error messages - random shutdown after like 10 seconds. - Login screen freezes - freezes on the motherboard screen When the pc automatically restarts or when i reset the pc, it just boots normally without any issue.. Some of the BSOD errors: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (Most common) / SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION / CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED / PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA / SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED / UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP / MEMORY_MANAGEMENT First thing i had in mind was maybe something wrong with my Ram sticks. I tried the windows memory diagnostic tool, but detected no error. I tried memtest64, but when i came back after a few hours my screen was black and couldnt do anything... In the meantime i'll let it run again. Second thing i had in mind was the PSU, because the recommended PSU Wattage for the RTX 3070 is 650W if i'm not mistaken. The only thing here is; i had the same problem with the RX590. Maybe something else related to the psu? First build spec: Windows 10 home MSI B450 tomahawk max MB Ryzen 5 3600x stock speeds and stock cooler 2x8GB Corsair vengeance RGB 3200 c16 AMD Radeon rx590 Samsung 970 EVO 1TB m.2 SSD - with windows on Seagate Barracuda HDD 3.5" 1TB Corsair RM650x PSU Upgrade build: How the pc is now, same from above, but: Upgraded MB to MSI B550 Gaming Carbon WIFI Upgraded GPU for RTX 3070 I added the minidump files from the last 5 days. If i need to provide more info please let me know Thanks in advance Dumpfiles.zip
  5. Hello, since i moved my system from my old case to my new case i have been suffering from shutdowns a few seconds/minutes after powering up for the first time in the day. Usually i could reboot and all is good but today the pc refused to boot and the CPU light on the mobo was on. I noticed that my AIO fans were not spinning during this boot error. Before i moved my system from my old case to new case i noticed that the pwm function on my aio fans were broken(system reporting 0 rpm) and so i switched it to dc and bought a pwm fan hub to check if it was the splitter fault that this was happenning, after moving the case and using the fan hub the pwm problem persisted. So when my cpu light stayed on i tought it might be the fan and changed back from the fan hub to the original splitter, i also checked cable connections, especially the cpu and it seemed ok. After that when i pressed the power button my Motherboard basically blinked when i tried to power it on and after 2-3 times pressing the button, it did power but CPU light was still on, so i long pressed power button and restarted the system and it worked again, i really don't know what is happening. I know my english is kinda bad so i apologize for that.
  6. Hey can anyone help me please, Have had this problem for the while but its not caused issues till now. Occasioanlly my VRAM orange light would turn on when I booted my PC and nothing would show on my screen, didnt think much of it so i turned the switch off at the back turned it on again and it would boot fine. Until today where yet again it did that i repeated the process and it did nothing.Once I finally got through to my PC the windows troubleshoot menu popped up and asked me to restart or go to advanced setting. Chose to restart. It proceded to not restart but continue to show that orange light. Damn, i did what i always did in this senerio turn it on a off again and it worked Horray! now windows is being really really slow. The program i use to 3D model for work cant find any file or drives great. My GDrive is also disconnected. Tried to just shut it down by going start button shut down nothing as if i didnt even click, so i used CTRL ALT DEL go to shut down and it wont turn off nothing just windows blue screen with its damn spinning wheel. This was a build I did in March so everythings pretty new. Im running a: Ryzen 9 3950X ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 32GB ZOTAC GTX 1070 (from an old rig) Corsair RM 750 80 plus Corsair H100i Windows 10 Samsung EVO 970 Any advice would be great as I need it to work. Thanks
  7. So I build my pc about two months ago and everything was working fine, until today when my power went off and know my pc shutsdown after a few seconds of being on. When I press the power button the pc seems to boot normally, but the fans stop spinning for a moment and then they start spinning again before it gets to the windows log in. After that, the pc stays on for a couple of seconds but it then turns off, but the LEDs on my computer case(the power button ones) stay on. If I then try to press the power button to start the computer it just turns off immediately, I can not even get to the boot screen until I power cycle the psu. Does this mean that my PSU is malfunctioning? I bought a Refurbished Coarsair CX550M.
  8. Hi, hope everyone is well. So this is my problem. I want to shut down my PC. After I shutdown my PC turned on by itself. I've tried to Troubleshoot but it doesn't work. I've tried to do the workaround on the Microsoft Answer Forums but it just doesn't work. Is there a way to solve this problem? Thank you. [Note: I have never tampered with Windows System files because I just reinstalled Windows]
  9. Hi again. Recently I did a forum about my the issue. However, it reoccurs again. My PC fans speed are ramp up during shutdown/restart/sleep. I did the following: 1. Swap In/Out Components: No effect. I transfer both CPU and GPU to my other system and still doesn't work. Afterwards, I use Ryzen 2200G, A320M motherboard and my GPU. It boots successfully, no issue in GPU. But the 2200G system belongs to my mom, and she using it. 2. Reseating the Components: I did both CPU, GPU and RAM reseating on the B550M board. This time, PC fans ramps up to 100% during boot. I did reseat them many times and then it boots. But the issue persist while shutdown. Also, my CPU and GPU temps are normal (~45C CPU, ~50C GPU). I uploaded a video on the actual issue of my rig. Please help me. This is my only game/freelance work PC and I don't want to lose my baby. video-1629378603.mp4
  10. I have a asus vivobook x509fj with a i5-8265u and a mx230 while gaming the laptop usually overheats...so i disable turbo before gaming (did not see any fps difference due to the low end gpu) I was playing Forza Horizon 4 today with turbo disabled....and windows shut don randomly...GPU's temp was around 80c and cpu was also at 80c...when i checked the event viewer...this is what it showed did this issue come because i disabled turbo using throttlestop?
  11. Do you know what sucks. My corsair HX850 is hard shutting down my pc when I use my 1080 ti and 980ti in blender cycles together. When I use just one of the gpus to render cycles pc stays on. I work in IT support but I really dont get much into the electronics stuff or stuff thats more in the field of an electrician. What I have tried so far is to try one gpu as i stated above. I also tried putting the 1080ti on one pcie wire that has the two ends. I knew that running two wires was easyer on the psu but I wondered if there was a rail issue. In msi afterburning i put both cards to 80% power but it still shut down. I wana try going harder on that and even try lowering the clocks. I put a kelowat meter on the whole system and it read 422w when rending with both gpus. I checked temps of the gpu's and cpu but they were in spec. one gpu is watercooled and the other is a gygabite windforce 3 so the temps are pretty good. CPU is cooled by a notua but its too small for it. I will upgrade it later to water when i can buy the tubes and fittings, Games just use the one gpu so no shutdowns there. My knowlage on the internals of psu's are limited and all I have is a multi meter to test but Its been a few years since my electronics and electricity college course segment. Please help me to keep removing varables until we can identify the cuase. Im guinna sleep cus its late and i have a fleu coming on Here is the pc part picker: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/hTf9TW ps here is a frame of the blender animation i am rendering. PS
  12. Hi guys,my pc was working normally until yesterday but now when i open a game the screen freezes and after a few seconds my pc shuts down while its power button is on but no parts are working on it...anybody has an idea on what is causing this? Sorry if i spelled something wrong im not the best with English. Thanks in advance.
  13. i'm using vga to dp active adapter. It has happened around 1 year ago, and i don't know what to do or why it acts like that. Can someone help? When it only does short shutdown, it doesn't do flashing on off again. This on off usually occurs about 10mnt - 20mnt after long shutdown (more than 10mnt). After monitor turns on normally, it doesnt show any problem or it's just normal monitor should like.
  14. Over 3 weeks ago, my PC that has been built and working fine for almost 3 years now started shutting down and starting up by itself. This started one night after being shut down as I was about to sleep. That day it was used regularly and presented no failures. Last hardware change was on December as I added another SSD for storage. Haven't touched the pc since then. Did no install any program/upsate that night. Shutdowns seem to be completely random as they can happen 15 times a day, just 3 a day or sometimes there is a large period of no shutdowns (24 hours aprox). Windows Event viewer showed and has been showing this couple of error every single time the pc shuts down itself. 15. I have ordered a UPS for my computer, it's a Cyber Power unit. I will be connecting my PC, powered USB Hub, and my portable external usb hdd to it. However, my monitor is mounted on the wall and it's plugged into an outlet directly behind where it's mounted so that the wire is neatly hidden. So in case of a power outage, my monitor would be off while my PC and everything connected to the UPS will be powered. Is there a way to perform a proper shutdown of Windows with the monitor display being off? I have an ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII Z490 Motherboard if that helps. I heard from somewhere that it's possible to program the power button on your case to act as a shutdown button? But what if I was in the middle of a game? Would pressing the power button force quit all applications in order to perform a safe shutdown? I don't want to just pull the plug or press and hold the power button. Which both defeat the purpose of getting a UPS in the first place. Or is there a piece of software that will automatically close any running apps and shutdown my computer if it detect that it's running off UPS?
  16. Idk whats causing this problem , so when i start my motherboard the fans run for like 2 sec then it restarts and then it boots up again normal , but what it seems to be happening is that it resets my bios settings for some reason i already tried replacing the cmos battery and did the jumper reset same thing , p.s: this only happens when i remove the psu and cut the electrecity completly when i only regular shutdown it stays the same but when psu is off it does this weird thing also lately it be shutting down when im playing games not even demanding ones(league of legends...) and the tempatures are fine , pls i need help InShot_20210210_122602469.mp4
  17. My PC has suddenly started shutting down abruptly when I click shut down via the start menu. In the attached video (had to be cropped for the file size) my pc takes about 10 seconds from clicking shut down in the start menu, where the fans ramp up in RPM, the hard drive can be heard bleeping, then in suddenly shuts down, with a weird sort of whining noise at the end. Doesn't seem like too much of an issue, expect for the fact that my PC hasn't done this before. Usually I press shutdown, bit of a wait and it quietly shuts down without the high pitch whine at the end ornthe bleeping. Curious as to what could be causing this, if it is bad for my components, and how to resolve it.? Troubleshooting: Memory checked with Windows Memory tool. Disc health check with control panel scan. 18. Heyo! I recently built a new PC and everything works just fine EXCEPT for one small detail. When I shutdown with the windows start menu button (not the physical power button), the monitor goes black and everything seems to be off, but all the fans in the rig keep spinning. This includes the CPU and GPU fans. If I hold the power button while in this state, the fans do shut down. Also, if I then want to turn the PC back on I first have to hold the power button to shut it down completely and only then can I turn it back on. The specs are: MSI b550 a pro motherboard Ryzen 5600x CPU G skill Ripjaws V (2x 16GB) RAM Corsair mp600 nvme (1TB) Corsair LL120 fans (3x) Corsair 750 RMi PSU And a GTX760 ! (It's just temporary, needed something to plug my monitor into while I install windows etc) Windows 10 Meshify S2 case The LL120 fans came without a speed controller, so I plugged all the case fans into the Meshify S2 fan hub and connected that to the PUMP pins on the motherboard. I found it to be a good way to control the case fan rpm. I already disabled the fast start option. I did NOT update the bios yet. Any ideas how to solve this?
  19. I have a few problems regarding my PC after I did a motherboardswap, one of them being that it just does not shut down the normal way. Every time I try to shut down the PC the screen goes blank for a few seconds and it looks like a normal shutdown, but then the PC just turns on again. I turn it off by holding the power button but that shouldnt be the only option, right? I have tried everything so far, it might be an error that causes windows to restart instead of shutdown, Any other ideas? So far I've tried: Fast Boot Settings, Restart when crash turned off, going into the windows files and typing things recommended by YouTube. There isnt much left... Im using x570 Aorus Ultra, Ryzen 5 2600, Gskill Aegis 16gb 3000, Gtx1660s
  20. Hello all, I could really really use some help/advice as I am new to the PC community and am on the verge of insanity. I just built a PC a week ago and it has been running perfect since a couple days ago, temperatures were running cool. It started with the blue screen of death with the Stop Code: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. This would happen randomly, usually when alt tabbing out of games such as Warzone. It progressed and since then has gotten much worse. Yesterday I was playing warzone and my entire system restarted. Usually the reboot is fine, but once I logged in, the system rebooted again and again. It is now to the point where it will run idle in both normal and safe mode, but any applications or system programs I try to run instantly causes a shutdown. I decided to uninstall Warzone since that seemed to be running when reboots happened, but this did not seem to solve anything. I did a little research and performed multiple troubleshooting things. I did a "Clean boot", used sfc /scannow (encountered no issues, but now I cant even fully run that without the system rebooting), tried to run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth and the other commands that follow but the system shutdown, and I ran memtest86 with no error found in the first round of 13 test. I opened the Event Log to see if I could see any errors which I did but the most recent were Critical: Kernal-Power and Error: DistributedCOM 10005. It got to the point where I wanted to just reset windows and start fresh but I can't do that because when it starts reinstalling the PC restarts and fails to reset windows. I have tried reinstalling from the windows installer on a USB stick and the same issue occurs. I decided that today I will try a couple things which could help. 1.) Restore BIOS - Earlier yesterday I switched all of my fans to PWM instead of Auto. This may not be the cause but it would be worth a shot since all of the happened after that change. 2.) Remove power to GPU and connect HDMI to Motherboard - I would like to try to eliminate any graphics card issues. I would update my GPU driver but the PC restarts when trying to do this. 3.) Test new power supply Here are my PC specs just incase it helps... PLEASE SAVE ME. 21. Hi, [This is my first time asking for technical help in a forum. Please excuse my online etiquette ] [Before you stop reading midway, I have sufficient reasons to believe why it is not a hardware issue. I explained the reasons below] The Problem I have been using an Asus X556UB Laptop (i5 6200u, 940mx, 8GB Ram) for the last 5 years. About 2 years ago, I started having random shutdowns & after thorough scrutiny, I figured out it has something to do with the iGPU (Intel HD 520). Laptop runs fine if I have my iGPU disabled/uninstalled in device manager. Laptop instantly shuts down if I enable it (and fails to boot to windows if I have it enabled from safe mode). The problem is that the laptop doesn't have any bios settings to disable iGPU/switch display output to dGPU. Thus, applications which by default use iGPU doesn't run. I also can't change the settings to run "most of those" apps on dGPU as Nvidia control panel says that no display is connected to the dGPU & doesn't show any settings to choose default GPU. The processor itself runs fine. Cooling works fine and gets up to 90 Degrees (C) for the processor. After trying out multiple combinations of drivers, my final setup is: disabled iGPU, uninstalled Intel Thermal Management Drivers (see screenshot below) (the "other devices" showed up after I uninstalled Intel Dynamic Thermal Management Framework & Intel Management Engine Component) & now some games run absolutely fine with the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter + Nvidia 940Mx combo. For eg: I ran NFS Underground 2 on very high settings at native resolution at around 80fps. PCSX2 games also runs fine (Although if I remember correctly it wasn't like this always. NFS Pro Street with the same combo would get 5-8fps, but that could be because I failed to choose dGPU to run the app). What I've tried so far (in no sequential order) (apart from countless google searches regarding the issue) 1. Updated Bios> Downgraded Bios> Updated Bios again 2. Fresh Installation of windows [currently on latest version - December 2020] multiple times. 3. Installed oldest version of drivers from ASUS's website. 4. Installed latest version of drivers from ASUS's website. 5. Installed latest version of drivers from respective component manufacturers' website* 6. Disassembled laptop > checked cooling > repasted CPU & GPU countless times 7. Bought new power adapter (65w) 8. Used intel XTU to underclock CPU + iGPU 9. Ran without battery 10. Maybe more things I don't remember *Latest version of drivers changed quite a few times over the last two years. Tried at least 4 "latest drivers". After two years of missing out on pc gaming (specially during the pandemic), I finally decided that I should get help. Tbh, I only as of posting this thread saw that underground 2 is playable, so that's a relief (now I can play at least some games xD). The Ask I still couldn't figure out what the problem is. Maybe driver issue, maybe partial CPU damage. I don't think it is a cooling issue as I don't think I ever saw temperature go above 90 degrees. Also laptop shuts down even without any load. It'd be a peace of mind if I could get a definite answer/solution to the problem. Thank you! P.S: I'll update the original post with more info as it arises. More info 1. Laptop iGPU used to occasionally work for 10-15 minutes to even hours. Would return to status quo (shutdown) after restarting computer. I couldn't figure out why it'd work, when it worked.

  23. Hello, a month ago my PC started to randomly shut down. At first I thought it was Windows, so I formatted my SSD and reinstalled Windows, but the issue persisted. So I turned to the hardware itself. I read on the internet that the problem could be the PSU as my PC would struggle to even power up. So, I bought a new PSU and the next day I swapped it for the new one, which is a Thermaltake 750w PSU, and when I opened the old one, I found that one of its components was burnt and one its capacitors was bloated. The PC worked perfectly fine for about 3 days until I started having issues again, but this time the computer was just randomly shutting down. Here's what exectly happens: 90% of the time it shuts down, my monitor loses signal and the fans keep spinning. In the other 10%, the screen freezes and I have to restart my PC. I should also mention that whenever it crashes, I have to turn off the power switch because it won't shut down if I press or hold the power button. I've obviously made some testing and troubleshooting myself. First I thought the GPU was the culprit. So I unplugged my RX 580 and swapped it for my old GTX 750 and the same thing happened. Then I unplugged my 5 year old hard drive as I thought it could be faulty, same thing happened. Then I reseated the ram and used contact cleaner to make sure it wasn't the problem. The PC shut down again. Then finally, I got a spare old motherboard I had lying around and moved all components to that mobo. The PC worked perfectly for days, until I decided to test that other mobo again. After I swapped all the components, it ran fine for 4 days and then shut itself down AGAIN. So I unplugged my 5 yo HDD one more time, just so I could rule it out for sure. After that it ran fine for a day and crashed again today. I forgot to mention that when I removed my supposedly faulty mobo from the case, I noticed a slight burn mark underneath the MosFets region and a white dot on each of the BIOS chips and maybe the faulty PSU might have burnt my mobo. So I'm almost sure it's motherboard and if it is, is there any way to swap the mosfets or the BIOS chips? Will I have to buy a new mobo? I really want this to be over.

PC Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A Motherboard: Crosshair VIII Impact x570 GPU: RTX 3070 PSU: Corsair SF600 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 Mhz CL18 Secondary Storage: 1tb Samsung nVME, 500 Gb m.2 OS: Windows 10 BIOS Version: 2702 Hello! I am running into an issue with my new SFF build where immediately after sustained workloads, the PC will either freeze or completely turn off. I wasn't sure what the issues were at first so I tried different software to try to isolate it. I first started having this issue in games. I don't play any heavy titles, just Valorant and League of Legends, so I thought this behavior was very odd. I also had accidentally bent the CPU pins before, but bent them back. The CPU goes into the socket easily still but I know there's still a chance that it isn't working properly. My average temperature is ~35 degrees C idle and ~73 degrees C on load for my CPU and ~38 degrees C idle and ~76 degrees C on load for my GPU. At this point, I'm 60% sure it's the CPU and 40% sure its the PSU but I would like a second, third, fourth... and so on... opinion. Thanks in advanced! Steps Taken: cleared CMOS, ran at stock settings -- > freeze/shutdown heaven benchmark for 2 hours to isolate GPU --> No issues 3D Mark Time Spy benchmark --> No issue 3D Mark Stress test --> 99% and 98.8% --> immediately crashes after. Frozen screen/immediate shutdown Memtest86 --> No issue 0 errors Flashed most recent BIOS --> freezing/shutdown after sustained load Reinstalled windows --> freezing/shutdown after sustained load Rearranged fans in case --> freezing/shutdown after sustained load Unplugged and reseated power cables into motherboard --> freezing/shutdown after sustained load I have a 700W power supply coming in on Sunday so I hope that may fix the issue.
  25. Hello everyone ay LTT forum. A few years algo I came here to ask for help on building a PC. Now I come to ask you for help to troubleshoot an issue. PC SPECS: MoBo: MSI B450-M Bazooka CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 Mhz (2x8 GB) PSU: Rosewill 80+ bronze 550W GPU: MSI GTX 1660 Ti Up until a bit earlier today My PC was working just fine, I shut it down before I went to bed, around 7 hours ago. I woke up and turned it and everything seemed fine for the first few minutes, but then, the screen went black, I thought it was because of a snooze function ir something, but then my keyboard wasn't responding (lights turning on when I pressed a key) nor my mouse. I tried to force shut down with the power button, but nothing, I had to shut down everything bu turning off the PSU. I checked everything without the front panel and noticed that when the problem occurs, the CPU led on the EZ DEBUG LED panel on My MoBo turns on. I tried changing the Thermal paste in case it was a cooling issue, but it wasn't that. Thinking it was the GPU (before I saw the CPU LED) I took it off and connected the HDMI to the MoBo HDMI slot, but the problem persisted I sadly have no other PSU/GPU/RAM/MoBo to test it out.
