so i've been using sapphire's RX460 nitro gpu with 4gb ddr5 memory and 1250 core clock factory overclokced gpu and the issue i'm having is that a after some time playing games, watching movies, editinig in PS, or Dreamweaver or even browsering internet i get some crashes, or should i rather say some freezes. While with watching movies and with some editing there is not real problem after freeze unfreeze, in playing games after it freezes game crashes. Games I ussualy play are not rly that much gpu dependand rather cpu (dota 2, europa universalis 4 etc.) so at first i thought it might be some cpu problems since I run ryzen 5 1600 and that it might not be fully optimized. I switced to my athlon x4 860k setup and it does the same thing. So I did some digging and tried to lower the core clock from 1250 to 950 and it works fine now, but at some more demanding games (I bought shadow of war) it frame rates drops on medium high setting. So i added antoher card to run it in crossfire but also with lower clock and still it can't get more than 40 fps. my specs are: Ryzen 5 1600 Gigabyte aourus ax370 gaming k5 Corsair vengance 16gb ddr4 ram RX nitro 460 4gb version 600W antec PSU So is it possbile that some other componets are bottlenecking gpu or is it gpu problem instead, and I did go for varanty check and they said it's fine.

since more than a week I have been facing screen flickering issue on my Sapphire r9 390 which is accompanied by device attachment/detachment sound. This flickering even persists when i remove all of my usb devices(keyboard, mouse) and I have tried changing my VGA cable along with hdmi to VGA converter. I have tried upgrading my software to the latest driver available and tried few old versions of the drivers. At that time I had Windows 10 Pro as my operating system. I reinstalled Windows 10 and upgraded it to the latest version in an attempt to solve this issue. The only step that seems to solve this issue is disabling the AMD Radeon R9 390 Series display adapter from device manager. I thought this could be a Windows 10 problem and on 10th june I reverted back to Windows 7 Professional, however I am facing the same issue. Even In Windows 7 the problem would only be resolved when i disable the AMD display adapter from device manager. (Disabling Intel HD Graphics 4600 only doesn't solve this issue). The screen flickering is not continuous, It is random, usually starts within 30 minutes of bootup. As it starts occurring, I disable AMD adapter for few minutes and re enable it. This usually resolves the problem until sometime. The possibility of bad HDMI Output of my gpu is also ruled out as screen flickering occurred even when I connected my LCD to motherboards VGA output(while my gpu adapter was enabled). Also I do not overclock any of my system's components. System Configuration: Motherboard: GA-H97 HD3 CPU: Intel i7 4790 Memory: Kingston 8GB DDR3 GPU: Sapphire R9 390 VBIOS: 113-2E3240U-X4A Driver: Crimson 17.6.1 OS: Windows 7 Professional (version 6.1 build 7601 SP1) Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 943SNX Plus One important thing, while I was on Windows 10 and i used to disable AMD graphic adapter from device manager, somehow graphic card would still provide display but screen flickering would stop. This is confusing as I have tried different operating systems and different version of graphic drivers so it doesn't look like software issue. But if it is hardware issue, shouldn't there be screen flickering even after disabling the graphic adapter from device manager?

Hi, I have a Sapphire HD 6870 1gb Vapor-X card, but it doesn't work like it should work. When i turn on the computer everything seems right except that the image is much smaller and the resolution is lower. When i try to install new driver nothing happens. When i try to install older windows 7 64 bit drivers i got BSOD. I have widows 10 pro 64 bit by the way. I don't know what could i do to make it work.

Hey, everyone. So, I have a dying video card which is an R7 265 Dual X from Sapphire. It has served me for only less than 2 years. The first thing I noticed was constant stuttering, then freezes then discolored stripes (even in the BIOS). Now, for some reason, I can't boot to Windows when the driver is installed. (Booted to safe mode to uninstall the driver and I was able to boot to Windows again) I determined that it was the graphics card's fault when I replaced it with my old one the Geforce 210 which worked. Now, what I did to "revive" the card was heating it in an oven(I've watched dozens of "Putting your graphics card in an oven" videos including Linus' so I was pretty sure what I was doing). It worked! Sort of... It died again in 3 days. I did the same thing again and it died again for less than a day. I've sent the card to a repair shop and they basically did the same thing. It worked aaaaaaaand it died again. WHAT THE F*** SHOULD I DO WITH THIS CARD?! If anyone knows better, please help. PC Specs CPU: i3 6100 Stock speed GPU: R7 265 2GB RAM:4GB OS: Windows 10 Pro STORAGE: 1TB Seagate Barracuda PSU: 450W Thermaltake

I just found these two graphics cards at a very reasonable price and I want to know which one is better, help me! Justify your vote! 1- Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB http://pulse.sapphiretech.com/en/580-8.html 2- MSI Armor RX 580 8GB https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/Radeon-RX-580-ARMOR-8G-OC.html#hero-overview. Both cost exactly the same at the local store where I found them...

So the obsession continues, I swapped tim on r9 390 TRI-X and got it to 1175mhz and 1400 on memory (in wattman) without breaking 58c. Like an hour ago did it to my girls rx480 card and pretty nice results, before I couldn't even bump core 2% stable. This time I got it to 1450mhz without really going above 50c under load with custom fan curve. The peak temp your seeing is because the fan doesn't kick on for like the first 10 seconds of unigine, but once fans kick on it pulls temps back down. I'll fill out this thread more later when I get some time to really try and push it.

I recently built my computer with the following specs: Intel Core i7-6700k 4.0 ghz Gigabyte H170M-DS3H 16GB of Corsair at 2400 mhz 240GB crucible SSD (boot drive) 1TB HDD from WD Sapphire Nitro RX460 OC GPU When I first installed the GPU, the computer wouldn't even start (maybe 1 or 2 times it did). But when it was on, it was lagging horribly, to the point that I couldn't stand it. I spoke to both Sapphire and to AMD and they said it was a defective card for which I got a replacement. When i got the replacement and installed it, the problem was the same. I then spoke to Gigabyte and they said it could be that the bios was outdated on the mobo. So they gave me instructions on how to update it, and once I did, the card worked fine. However, now I'm getting another small issue, its not that big of a deal, but I'm afraid if I don't find a solution, I will burn my computer or damage other components. The issue is that every time I try to turn on the computer (boot-up), no signal from the GPU is sent to the monitor which in turn doesn't let the computer fully turn on. The fans all run, I can hear the HDD and the fans running, but no signal to the monitor. I've set the BIOS to send the signal to the PCIe slot 1 which is where my gpu is installed. But in order for me to make it work, I need to restart my computer again after the first time, and then the signal is sent. I thought at first, that it was that the monitor was turned off when I pressed the power button on the tower, but after several days of turning on the monitor first and then the tower, it still does the same thing and wont send the signal the first time until after I restart it. I've also noticed that if the computer goes into sleep mode, and I try to wake it up. the same thing happens with no signal being sent to the monitor. I've double checked the connection to make sure, but the HDMI cable is connected to the GPU and not the mobo. Can anyone offer any help?

Hey Guys. So i have a sapphire R9 280x Vapor-x Version. Its 2 years old now. I was cleaning my PC and after putting the the card back in started the game and the computer restarted. I started it and again it happened so i was like something happened to gpu. I removed it, cleaned the card and reinserted it. It was working but now whenever i run any game, doesn't matter which settings it lags. Like 5-10 fps only. I dont know what to do. I have searched online and there aren't any solutions. I thought maybe the card was getting hot and but the temperature remains in 60-ish. So i don't think its related to temperature. So im asking if anyone knows whats going on or does anyone have any solution for this dilemma. My computer specs are : i5 4570 1 tb hdd thermaltake dps G 750W. gigabyte h97 gaming 3. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

I built my pc with a i7 core 6700k cpu, a Gigabyte GA-H170M-DS3H motherboard, a 500 watts PSU, and my friend bought me the Sapphire Nitro Radeon RX-460 OC graphics card. I installed windows, an SSD boot drive, and a HDD 1 TB for extra storage. It worked perfect. When I got the graphics card, I installed it, powered up the comptuer, went into the Bios to disable the integrated graphics (graphics card manual stated that should be done first before it boots up). When I started the computer after that, The comptuer was acting weird, it was so slow...Then after a 3rd time of checking cables and making sure the card was seated properly, it wouldn't send a signal to my monitor and the computer wouldn't power up. I had to disable the card which made my computer work again. How can I fix this?

I recently brought a sapphire nitro r9 fury expecting it to be a nice jump up from my old card (Gtx 960) but I've run into an issue with it. I have no idea if it's my drivers or what but randomly while I'm gaming my gpu usage will just tank for some reason. This is what my GPU usage looks like after running battlefield 1 on ultra settings at 1080p. This is my first amd graphics card so I have no idea what the issue could be.

i am gonna buy the Sapphire RX480 next week. Just want to check with those who are using it.... Do you guys run into any sort of issue??? How is the card overall???? I just want to know whether the card works well. Is there any overheating issue??? And how's the overall build quality and stuff. I am gonna buy the 4GB variant. (That is not the issue here. Personal choice) Thanks in advance.

@1080p 60Hz CPU will be an i5-6500 or an i3-6100 (not yet decided) ZOTAC GTX 1060 Mini 6GB vs. SAPPHIRE NITRO R9 380 4GB Will it be a noticeable upgrade? Is it even an upgrade? Discuss.

SomeGreekGuy posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Does anyone own the waterblock mentioned in the title? I want to know if the VRAMS get hot, because it says they are "passively cooled", and that raises some concerns imo. Thanks.-

hey guys. I cant choose from this two cards. They have almost the same price here in our country. my specs are: i3 6100 Crucial Ballistix Sports 8gb Asrock h110m hdv seasonic s12ii 520 watts micro atx case and my monitor is BenQ VZ2250H which is a 1080p panel. I wanted to maximize the potential of my rig. I will be playing some Overwatch, CS:GO, LoL, Outlast 2(still waiting for it), Silent Hill, CoD: IW, and BF1
-
So the two cards are closely priced but what actual differences are there.Would it be worth getting the OC variant? Any and all help is appreciated.

So, sort of a long story here, the tldr; is I upgraded from an A8 7600 to a Ryzen 5 (total platform change, so the mobo, CPU and RAM are all new) and everything is completely unstable, on both a brand new install of Windows on a new Samsung 970evo m.2 and my old install on my PNY SSD. Lots of BSODs. Tested the RAM for a day and it checks out, SSD checks out according to Samsung Magician. I'm very confused. Long story: Originally I pulled my old system and swapped the parts last week, and verified the new parts would POST before I did the swap. Seemed fine outside the case so in the case it went. Once I got it up and running again, before I installed Windows 10 Pro on my new m.2 I ran off my old SSD for a while just to test things a bit. It was pretty unstable, BSODs and crashes randomly, but I figured this could be down to wrong drivers and such since the SSD came from my old system. I pulled all my drives, including my storage drives, and went to install Windows on the new m.2. Problem: it blue screened during install. Restarted it. Managed to get through the install this time. More BSODs. I tried reinstalling again. Same thing. I think I'm now sitting on the 5th reinstall on the new drive. Its marginally more stable now, but the moment I try to do anything I get a random BSOD. Sometimes I see what the error is, sometimes it flashes so fast I only see blue and then its already rebooting. Right now, I'm letting it download Windows updates before I try to do anything else. I installed my wifi drivers, my graphics drivers, m.2 drivers, and Samsung magician to check the m.2. I've swapped the m.2 from the top mobo slot to the bottom one, but still have had some BSODs since doing that. I've run memtest and my RAM checks out, I opened up my GPU and cleaned and repasted it today just in case. I've been sitting on my laptop Googling every different BSOD as they come up. So far, I've had at least one if not more of each of these: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED APC_INDEX_MISMATCH UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_INVALID_LOCK_RELEASE SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION KERNEL_THREAD_PRIORITY_FLOOR_VIOLATION I've tried using WhoCrashed to see what drivers are failing, and it always shows fltmgr.sys and ntoskrnl.exe are the culprits. I've tried running Windows built-in driver verifier but it doesn't seem to show the crashing drivers when I run it, and its a pain to turn off. Basically, I'm at my wits end. I bought a new case to put everything in but currently the system is just sitting on my desk using the mobo box as a test bench because I'm afraid I may have to send something back. Problem is, I just can't figure out what's faulty, if anything, or if I got a corrupted install of Windows, or what. Pls halp. System specs: ASRock X570 Steel Legend Wifi ax Ryzen 5 3600 / stock cooler Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (4x8) DDR4 3000 Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro Corsair CX750M Samsung 970 EVO NVMe m.2 Windows 10 Pro, 1903 EDIT: I can grab dmp files and anything else if needed, right now I don't dare touch it in case it crashes before Windows updates can finish.

I’m thinking on buying a vega 56 gpu (i use hackintosh and nvidia is not an option, also it has to be itx format. I know that vega56 nano by Powercolor does exist, but it is really hard to find used or new. Fortunately enough the same pcb is used in a few other cards (sapphire pulse, powercolor red dragon and xfx) I was thinking to put a cpu downdraft cooler on it, however I found a proper gpu cooler - thermalright shaman. (Back in the days it was capable to cool gtx480 and it was a really hot card with stock tdp of 240w) And it looks like it fits Vega 56 nano pcb Dimensions of the cooler Pcb an cooler alligned and it looks that it might fit. Can anyone who has a card with this pcb measure the distance between cooler mounting holes and the edges of the card, especially to the back if the card (dp and hdmi ports)

Hello, so my system has always been loud. I thought that because my case is a modified PowerMac G5 (zero sound isolation), that my case fans were what were the loudest component in my system. Turns out that last night I was able to isolate what component was making all that noise when gaming. Turns out that my Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580s fans were spinning at over 2,300rpm despite the highest temp recorded by HWmonitor being only 58C. As you can expect, this makes the card EXTREMELY loud, I'm talking louder than a reference 480! Could HW monitor be wrong about the max temperature recorded? It was correct about the temps at idle and the RPMs reported matched the ones being reported by Wattman. What is even weirder is that when I was playing before I updated my drivers is that the card took like 5min to spin down its fans from the max down to like 805rpm. Even though the card was sitting around 47C. According to everything I've seen, the Zero RPM feature should mean that the fans are not spinning completely until like 55C. Could the stock fan curve have been totally borked? From what I can tell the fans should never be approaching their max RPM with the automatic fan curve on this card. Should I try switching to the other BIOS on this card? I can't find any documentation on which BIOS is which so I have no idea which one I'm using right now. Thanks.

I purchased a couple of used RX 570's on Ebay for a couple of builds I'm working on for a husband and wife. The first one that I bought was advertised as an 4GB variant and that's what I paid for. To the PC, it appears as a 4GB model, but the stickers on the card say "SAPPHIRE PULSE RADEON RX570 8G DDR5" which doesn't match the more recent RX 570 that I received from another seller. Is it possible that the previous owner or maybe someone else flashed an 8GB card to appear as a 4GB model? I'm going to tear it apart and reapply thermal paste. Is there anything I should be looking for to confirm my theory? I'm very inexperienced with GPU teardowns and components.

Hello everyone, I need help with getting a GPU. I'm not planning to overclock, it's just for casual gaming. The price ($) is in bgn, not dollars. 1 usd = 1.75 bgn. Yes, they're very overpriced. Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 580 4GB 11265-07-20G (380$) Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 570 8GB 11266-66-20G (355$) Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 570 4GB 11266-14-20G (343$) I used this site to see the average fps of the RX 580 (82 fps) and RX 570 (69 fps), even thought they benchmarked a RX 580 8GB. I calculated the money per frames for the RX 580 - 4.63414634, for the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 570 4 GB - 4.97101449. Which card do you recommend? I've seen debates that the RX 570 8GB or RX 580 4GB isn't worth it, what do you think about them?

So I got all the parts to put together a dell xp but I think the graphics card might be out of date, but I don't know to much about PC's.

Soooo apparently, some sapphire cards have some sort of mounting pressure problems. This means that after a certain thermal paste replacement ( two or three times ? Mines 3 and my friend's two ) the card mounting pressure is screwed up and it made the card overheat increasingly, eventually death by overheat arrives. I'd love to have a clear insight about what went wrong but I don't have a lot of sapphire cards at disposal. By far here are some of the examples that I have discovered. Exhibit A ( My RX560 ) : I was having a quite good temp ( high 50 to mid 60 ) with the stock stuff. After my decision to replace the thermal paste the card hit 72 instantly and slowly rose to oblivion. My method of application: X, star, youtuber pattern, pea, line basically anything imaginable and the amount vary from too much to just enough. I've spent total of 20$ in thermal paste which is mx4, kryonaut. Exhibit B ( my friends RX570 ) : My friend was having a decent 74°C with same story and his card reached high 80s while he had spent the same amount of thermal paste as I did and he used the same mx4 and kryonaut and the only diffrence is he applied enough to cover the die which is quite excessive as to people standard. Tl;dr: seems like some sapphire polaris cards have issue with temperature after thermal paste replacement and it seems like it has something to do with pressure

Hi guys and gals, I've built a new rig to replace my old one and everything went smoothly until yesterday. I am a long time linux user and wanted to migrated my HDD from ext4 to ntfs to be able to use it for my games. So I set it up to transfer my files from the HDD to an external drive. It apparently tried to go to sleep since I was gone for a few hours but Ubuntu 19.04 does not yet support suspend on my Ryzen 5 3600, so I was stuck with a black screen as I got back. I tried to wake it up but had to resort to hold the power button for a few seconds to force it to turn off. Since then I can't get it to show anything on the display but the CPU and chassis fan just spin and act rather normal and even the GPU has a red light on. But that's about it. So the GPU does not even turn it's fan for a short time at POST. ? My rig CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 5700 Pulse 8GB MOBO: Gigabyte B450M DS3H (Rev 1.0) RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport AT DDR4-3200 CL16 (2x8GB) PSU: CORSAIR Netzteil RMx Series RM650x 2018 HDD: Seagate 1TB (I don't know the specific model) Second rig for troubleshooting (works fine by itself) CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix X470-I Gaming RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-3200 (2x4GB) What I tried The GPU was first only connected to a single PSU cable which connected first to the 8-pin and then the 6-pin connector. I tried to connect the GPU to two separate cables which did nothing I tried to boot it with my second pc but it only used the internal Vega 8 graphics The second pc did not recognize the RX 5700 in the BIOS but it worked for another GPU (Radeon R7 270) I DDUed the drivers from my second pc which did not help solve the issue I installed the drivers for the RX 5700 but even then did it not recognize it What works I verified that the PSU, HDMI cable and monitor work by setting the second pc up to use them. Those all work fine if the RX 5700 isn't connected. If you know anything to help me that would be absolutely fantastic. So please help, I don't want to have to throw away my new GPU.

So basically i bought Saphire pulse RX580 4gb card and it doesn't work. I plugged it in my motherboard using 6 pin connector and the fans spun up and shutdown soon as i booted into windows. The card worked in bios and in safemode. I tried uninstalling AMD IGpu driver and was able to boot into windows normally, only the card was recognised as default display adapter. After i tried to install drivers the card shutoff and fans stopped. I bought a new PSU and used 8pin connector this time as i thought maybe the card didn't have enough power, Love and Behold nothing changed. I tried other PCI slots and updated Bios, forced Discrete Gpu and disabled IGPU. While using IGpu it still recognised the rx580 in device manager and i am able to flash the card or oc it in afterburner if needed. I am so lost! I am starting to think that web shop sold me a B-stock card.
