So, like the title says I have an rtx 2070 in my rig (just built, maybe had it together for a week) and tonight and last its artifacted and froze my screen. When I was playing shadow of the tomb radier yesterday for a bit it didn't artifact but then later in the night I was playing overwatch and it did. Then earlier today I was playing FTB and it didn't but then when I went and played Rocket League it did. I did do some screwing around in Afterburner, before playing any games, but after I could only get like + 150mhz I decided I didn't want to mess with it anymore and just turned the card back to stock. The artifacting seems to be happening when the gpu is under some amount of significant load ae it doesn't happen going on google or just being on the desktop. Here are some pics, the first is of when it happened while I was playing rocket league and the second is after I restarted my pc right after and decided to run a stress test and boom happened again within a minute; and Here's my parts list. I know my power supply isn't AMAZING. My hypothesis is that I just got a bum card and its already dying. But if anyone has any insights please please post em. Hey all, So I've been using a RTX 2070 Founders Edition card for a few months now just fine, but things have quickly gone south. I was playing the FFXIV Shadowbringers early access all Friday without issue, but I started to notice potential artifacts and a frequent blinking/flickering on the whole screen every few seconds last night. The game crashed not long after with a "Fatal DirectX error", but booted back in just fine. Now, firing up the game (or any game) this morning results in a crash about 20-30 seconds in. It happened with FFXIV, the game's benchmark, and Overwatch the moment I reached the character select screen. it's tough to get temp readings when games don't last long, but they seem fine for my confined Node 202 case. My GPU would usually hold at 80c when gaming just fine, but I can't play long enough to get it to heat up now (it won't go over 55). CPU is around 60-70. Not sure if it's worth mentioning my GPU goes far above its rated boost all the way to 1905MHz, but I assume this is just because it has the temp headroom before crashing. I've updated to the latest Nvidia drivers, but nothing has changed. I'm wondering whether it could be a power delivery issue or whether my RTX 2070 is just about to join the rest of the RMA pile. Specs: Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming WIFI Ryzen 5 1500X RTX 2070 Founders Edition 32GB Crucial Ballistics 2666Mhz DDR4 memory Fractal Design Node 202 Integra 450w PSU Windows 10 64-bit Any help would be greatly appreciated! The Shadowbringers story is so damn good and I don't want to have to play the rest on my crappy laptop. Thanks! EDIT: I've uploaded a camera video of the artifacts in-game and uploaded the single-frame screencaps to Imgur. Don't watch it if you don't want FFXIV: Shadowbringers spoiled for you. I lowered the core clock through MSI Afterburner to avoid the 1905MHz boost it's reaching. I feel it got a little further before crashing, but it still happened after plenty of artifacts. I've also DDU'd the drivers in safe mode and used May's WHQL drivers in their place - no change. I can say it didn't happen when running a 2D sprite-based game like Recetear, though I didn't test for long. I'd love for this to just be a PSU issue, but I have no way of testing right now. Can't even get an SFX replaced on a Sunday around here. The card itself was pre-owned (boxed) from an eBay seller. Wonder whether to take it up with him or just try to get the thing RMA'd by Nvidia if it comes to it.

Anybody holding out on buying an RTX vanilla for a super? I don't really feel the value is there for the money. From what I understand they pretty much have a bit more performance than their vanilla counterparts that are factory OC'd from AIB's. Personally, even fancy OC cards only offer negligible performance gains from my experience. I've already cashed out on a 2070 black gaming last week, I guess this could turn out to be buyers remorse if they're real power houses, I doubt that will be the case but only time will tell.

Hello, I just joined in hope to find a answer or solution to the issue I'm have. My system would boot up normally and it's fine for maybe about 5-10 minutes and my keyboard and display turns off and my rtx 2070 goes to 100% fan speeds and the system is still on. I've tried unplugging power connectors, taking the gpu out, breaking it down and still have the same issue. If anyone knows anything it would be appreciated for the help and thank you in advance! GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 (NON-super)(yes the only card using a remote 8 pin and small ref PCB, idiot move on my part) Operating System & Version: No issue on windows 10 v 1909, issue on 2020-02 GPU Drivers: clean 442.59 Description of Problem: This issue did not start until a couple of weeks ago which happened to be when windows updated to 2020-02, it could be a coincidence. Before the issue, I could max out the power delivery % and do a +150MHz overclock in msi afterburner and the card would be relatively quiet. Recently, even with no overclocking, fan 1 will max out completely under certain load circumstances to the point where the card is unusable in-game due to noise. It appears to do it when the card is around 80*c but it has never done this before because 80*c has been the sweet spot of noise and performance. I tried to fix the fan curve by using afterburner fan control but fan 1 still does it. Fan 1 even reports the rpm % as what it was before spin up (~66%) even though it is at 5k rpm (what would be 100%). I all around hate this card because of its cooler engineering and the fact that it is the only 20 series ek doesn’t support (aluminum). I am doubtful that it is a hardware issue but the fact that the fan percentage demanded doesn’t correlate to the rpm means that there could be some base (not in os) level protection for overheating or something. But that shouldn’t happen in completely stock form so idk. Any help appreciated Attachments: Look at fan 1 rpm in the screen caps. It solo rpm (not %) maxes for ~10 seconds and goes back down.

I wonder if the RTX 2070 can support 3 monitors? A main 4k and 2 x 1080p?

Hi Everyone,I am building a new PC with RTX 2070 and ryzen 2700x and need a monitor for it. Earlier I finalized acer predator xb271hu IPS but later when Nvidia announced that it will start freesync support I got really confused. I came across LG 32GK650F and found that is works fine with GSync compatibility and is a great monitor too. Also if I get a freesync monitor I can still use it with an AMD card in future.Color accuracy of IPS panel is not a must for me and VA is also fine. Size of LG one could be a problem as its a 32 inch flat screen, if anyone has used it please let me know how u feel about the size. Can anyone suggest which monitor should I go with!!!Thanks!!

Currently I have two xeon e5 2660s and a rx 580 8gb and I'm thinking of upgrading to a rtx 2070. I was just wondering whether my xeons would possibly bottleneck the rtx 2070 because of there lower clock speed. Btw I'm planning on going to a high refresh rate 1080p monitor or high refresh rate 1080p ultrawide. Specs: Cpus: 2x Intel xeon e5 2660 motherboard: Lenovo 0B41971 ram: 64 gb ecc 1333 ddr3 gpus: amd rx 580, nvidia gt 240 storage: 4x 240gb kingston a400 RAID 10, 1x 1tb wd black psu: delta electronics 1120 watt 80+ gold

Hi, so I recently built my friend a PC, and it has Windows 10 Home and an MSI Ventus RTX 2070. The problem is, when accessing the BIOS everything is all well and good but when he boots into Windows, he gets about 5 minutes of use before his monitor loses signal, and he has to reboot the PC to get signal back. He is using an HDMI connection. The NVidia drivers haven't yet been installed because he can't keep the signal long enough to download & install them. Can anyone help us resolve the issue? Thanks! I got a Asus Strix Scar 2 with RTX 2070 recently and the performance on this thing is not what I hoped it would be. In Overwatch at lowest preset I am not getting above 100 FPS but I have seen the benchmarks for the same laptop and the framerates were around 200. Is there something which I have not done which I was supposed to do? In Apex Legends the FPS seems to be fine, hovering around 100-110 at Max. Is this an Overwatch problem?

Hi, I used to have a GTX 970 before I purchased a new RTX 2070, but even after the upgrade, I notice that many games can't run even at 60fps on max settings, such as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, No Man's Sky, Cities Skylines, and some others, and even if I get 60fps, it usually is unstable going through 45-60fps maximum. I don't really understand why this is happening, since I also have an i7-4790k CPU, a new Corsair CS Series™ Modular CS850M PSU, and 14GB RAM. I also live in a desert, and usually it's pretty hot all the time, but I'm not entirely sure if this is the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hey everyone I was wondering if I should get an RTX 2060 Gaming Z from MSI or a mid-range RTX 2070. I know it's not worth the extra money performance wise, but for 144hz 1080p gaming, is 6GB VRAM enough? I mostly play e-sports titles if that helps. Thanks, Shinion

In games like league the RTX 2070 will stay at 1140MHz and only give me 120 fps. Now a week a go i got like 300 fps and the clock speed was correct. I do have a 60hz screen and a 144hz zcreen, so there might be a problem there, iv had that before. Please help.

Shadowplay cuts off part of the right side and bottom part of my videos

https://imgur.com/a/541UBTt https://imgur.com/a/ye8E3Fy As far as I know this problem only occurs in CSGO, and it happens no matter what resolution I play at. I've only heard from one person that this is a bug with the nvidia drivers but I don't want to uninstall the drivers unless I'm certain. Attached is a video to show how cut off the bottom is. Hello all, I was hoping I could get some help with an issue that has plagued my PC for a while. I installed a Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme RTX 2070 and while the gaming performance is stellar, my rig tends to lock up for a few seconds every 30 mins or so. It doesn't matter what I'm doing; gaming, web browsing, working, whatever, it keeps happening. More specifically, the screen freezes and the lights on the graphics card and ram sticks turn off. A few seconds later, they come back on and everything returns to normal. Here's what I've done do far: uninstalled the display drivers using DDU and reinstalled, installed an older driver, and removed all overclocks. I'm at a loss and any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Hardware: Ryzen 5 1600 Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming mobo 16gb of G.Skill Trident Z RGB RAM Gigabyte AORUS XTREME RTX 2070 8gb (I know, a gold spec card in an otherwise bronze spec PC. It started out as a budget build) EVGA 500w PSU (bronze rated) 128gb SSD (boot) 2tb HDD
