Hey I have recently bought a MSI r9 270x 2GB OC edition and have had a problem with it randomly crashing? The screen just turns green or white with vertical lines and I have to reboot. I think it is the GPU as the rest of my system seems unaffected ( eg music will carry on playing). This happens seemingly randomly even when doing light tasks. I have the sapphire dual x r9 270x and am thinking on doing a crossfire setup and i dont know What can i crossfire?

As in the description i have been running a r9 270x in crossfire with my hd7870 for almost a year now and i haven't had many issues. i have the 7870 set up as the second card and have since i got the 270x. today i installed msi after burner a program i have used before but not since it was updated to what it is now, after installing my second card stopped working. if i try to run heaven i get 9-10 fps where i was getting close to 60 with the settings i have. if i disable crossfire and just use the 270x it works fine. i have tried disabling and rebooting and then re-enabling it and restarting again. i uninstalled afterburner and it still did not work. i am at a loss here and could use some help if you guys have any ideas i would appreciate it.

Hello everyone, For my upcoming build I have two options for the graphics cards but I do not know which one to choose. The two graphics cards are the GTX 750ti and Sapphire 270X but I do not know which one to buy. FYI, I'm basically copying this guide: Please help! Thanks,

Hey all, I currently have an R9 270X Gigabyte OC Windforce edition. Im am looking to upgrade, i could either buy another r9 270x and crossfire the 2 or i can buy a brand new r9 290. I understand that Crossfired R9 270x would be better than an r9 290 but im not to confident on crossfire and i have heard that some games don't support crossfire. How easy is crossfire? Will i be able to uninstall my old drivers without affecting my CPU drivers? Should i move to Nvidia and how easy would this be? If i got an R9 290 then should i crossfire that in the future? Can i sell my old Card and what price would i get for it? Would it be best jst to buy another R9 270x and get some more ram or and H100i? If anyone can answer any of these questions please answer below.... Thanks in advance, Brit,

Hello, I was looking for a decent CPU that would not bottleneck two Radeon R9 270Xs. I would prefer socket FM2 or anything the works with my motherboard (listed below). If this is not possible any recommendations for a CPU and motherboard would still be great. I currently have one Radeon R9 270, an AMD Athlon X4 760K, and a MSI A78M-E45 motherboard. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I am planning to do a budget build for myself, so yeah, I'm in need of a graphics card, and i need something in the budget, and i chose the three mentioned in the title as the three choices i will go for. No budget really, because i know these cards are (sort-of) steals, so any card between the three, then I'll be fine. Have a good day!

I'm building my first gaming pc and I'm going high-end. Originally I was planing to buy a GTX 980 but I thought it's 2015 I should wait for new graphics cards to be released so I can buy them at the start of their lifecycle. So I decided to build a powerful pc and a cheaper temporary graphics card that I can then use to build a pc for my friend's living room. So the search began, I found two used graphics cards locally. (I can see them working in person) A Radeon R9 270X and an R9 290. The R9 270X fit the bill, but for slighly more money I can get a 290 and build a great gaming pc for myself. But I'm afraid that when I upgrade I wouldn't find a use for it. Since it probably won't work in a living room setup because of the noise and size. What do you guys think, what approach should I take? 1. Go for the GTX 980, It's expensive so I won't be upgrading it anytime soon. 2. Use the R9 270X as a temporary card, then use it a living room pc build. 3. Get the R9 290, if it doesn't work in living room I'll have to sell it and buy another graphics card.

My motherboard and cpu was broken, I have got it refunded from amazon. I therefore have a £300 to spend on a new motherboard and CPU. My rig atm Corsiar C70 vengeance Corsair H80i push/pull Sapphire r9 270x Toxic 2gb EVGA supernova g750W 100gb OCZ ssd 1TB seagate 7200rpm HD. I don't care about fan boy opinions and any money left over will go towards a GPU or Monitor upgrade. I am also confident overclocking and the h80i should permit at least a mild overclock.

Hi guys! I need your help because i can't choose the right PSU. Please, recommend what you think would be better other than the listed! The cooler master power supply calculator says the system will need atleast 402W. The listed 3 PSU's have 6 SATA cables which is more than enough for my 2 HDDs. 80 silver or 80 gold would be great, maybe 80 bronze! Would 600W PSU an over kill because of efficiency? I also need 2x6pin connector. I don't need a modular or any fancy PSU just a standard one with atleast 4-6 SATA and 2 6pin connectors. I want to be safe so my components won't get damaged!!! What i've looked for is: Cooler Master Elite Power 600W RS600-ACABM-WB (2x6pin) 48$ Cooler Master B500 ver.2 500W (2x6pin) 46$ Cooler Master B2 500W - RS500-ACABB1-EU (2x6+2pin) 48$ I'm on my budget. so the maximum i could spend on it is about 50-55$. My rig: FX-6300 2 HDDs (Sata 3.0 1TB and a 500GB Sata 3.0) Sapphire Toxic R9 270X 1 optical drive (currently not plugged in because i don't use it.) I'd really appreciate your support! I've heard you are a great community, and happy new year!

Hey guys, I was wondering what setup would be better to upgrade my system. I was trying to debate on buying a R9 290X to replace my R9 270X, when I thought of the idea to swap my motherboard, buy a new power-supply, and buy another R9 270X. Which one of these would be the better buy, or should I wait for a new AMD card? This is what I'd have to buy to crossfire:

Hi, I was trying to test a msi R9 270X hawk and the DisplayPort and HDMI wont work at all. The DVI-I works on a different monitor with a VGA adapter so the card does work, but my monitor (LG 34UM95) only supports DP and HDMI. When I start my PC my monitor doesn't even wake up and display the boot info, like for trying to get into the BIOS. This card has been used in my sister PC since Christmas and hasn't had any issues until I tried these ports in my PC. Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to make a review on this card for my YouTube channel, all the other cards I've tested have been test via DP.

I'm running a R9 270x, and I was thinking of upgrading soon. I have a budget of $200, I was thinking of purchasing a GTX 770. (There's a guy in my town who sells them for $200 new) but I'm not sure if i want to drop $200 on last gen hardware. I was also thinking of purchasing a R9 280, or something along those lines. I've come to the forums to seek help! Thanks in advance.

So me and my friend are doing budget build for another friend. I am an Nvidia fanboy... So hear me out, despite all my love for Nvidia I agree the price to performance Amd is the way to go! But I am a noob at amd cards so which one is better of the two for gaming?! r9 280 vs r2 270x

Both cards are 2gb. One is more expensive by ~£50. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FTV4L2S?keywords=Gigabyte%20R9%20270x&qid=1437721292&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 or http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HA3444I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_3&smid=AN4O4IKO17KHR

I am building a pc and I already ordered everything except the GPU. I found the Gigabyte r9 270x and I have enough money to buy 2. Should I buy 2? I am going to use this PC as my main gaming rig. I wanna be able to play all games and get at least 60FPS at 1080P like dayz, Arma 2-3, witcher 3, GTA 5 etc. Here are my specs: - Case: Corsair 350D - CPU: AMD Athlon x4 860K black edition - Mother board: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H - RAM: Corsair 4gb 1333mhz ( I am getting another 8gb stick) - PSU: Corsair CX series CX600 600W. - HDD: 360 gb ( I am planning on upgrading)

Hi everyone! I was wondering if this closed loop gpu cooler would work for my Powercolor R9 270x Devil edition? Two of the fans are missing one blade and this thing gets LOUD when gaming so I'm looking to replace it with a liquid cooler.

Hey fellow team-redders, I am looking into buying a Gigabyte Windforce R9 270x with 4 gigs of GDDR5. Does anyone else own an 270x with 2 or 4 gigs? If so, would it sound reasonable to run a 1080p/1440p 23" monitor and two 5:4 monitors? I am a content creator, programmer, and a gamer. I want to run my games on the main 1080p/1440p monitor and run facebook or battlelog or something on the aux monitors that isn't too graphic-intense. Is the 270x up to the task (possibly even slightly overclocked), or am I just totally pipe-dreaming? Will two do the job? Should I just spend a few more months doing odd-jobs and save for an R9 290x (I'm not sure I REALLY want it)? Thanks for help in advance.
