So, I'm looking at moving to a 4k display. I currently have a 27" Yamakasi 1440p IPS monitor as my primary screen, and want to move up a bit in size when I get a 4k screen, and do not want to go back to a normal TN panel after getting used to this thing. I would prefer a 32" IPS ideally, so I wouldn't have to use so much scaling, but after we started selling a 28" 4k panel at work I realized thats actually a pretty good size, and a bigger difference from 27" than I expected. The problem is, 32" is prohibitively expensive for an IPS, and for some reason a 28 inch 4k IPS doesn't seem to exist. All the 28" 4k panels are TN, IPS only seems to come in 27" (discounting much smaller/larger sizes) for whatever reason. Then I stumbled across this thing.. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2RY5T64820 I know QLED is technically still TN, but the contrast is supposed to be way better due to the quantum dot backlighting. My question is.. has anyone actually seen one of these in person, next to a TN panel or IPS? My thinking from how I've heard QLED described is that it would be fairly close to an IPS panel in contrast and color, but I am not willing to drop this kind of money on theory alone.

I´ve been searching for a video, an article or anything that throws a hint about TVs at real120hz refresh rate. Do you know about videos or articles comparing side by side TV and PC monitors at 120hz (or higher refresh rate)? Many youtubers do talk about gaming on a TV with 120hz but they use no Test using a tool (video and/or software to really demonstrate that those TVs indeed are having that refresh rate. Do yo know of any?

So I'm looking at getting a new TV for my houses living room, and I was looking at the vizio Quantum TVs......Mainly the M series and P series.....now here is my main question.....I figured the 55 in is the best size for both 4k and my living room. Now I'm looking at the M Series 55 in and the P series 55 in The price difference from what I could tell was mainly in their refresh rates. The M series has a standard 60hz refresh rate with their automotion 120 or whatever they call it. The P series has a natural 120hz refresh and a automtion 720 still dont understand the point of those things. My main question is which is better do you think? saving the 150 to get a 4k 60hz or spend the extra money on a 4k 120?

I was hoping someone could help me figure out why there is a $100 price difference between two monitors of the same model but different size (27" vs 32") when everything about the monitors seems to be the exact same with the exception of the size? Samsung CHG70 27" ($469.99 US) https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/27--chg70-gaming-monitor-with-quantum-dot-lc27hg70qqnxza/#specs Samsung CHG70 32" ($599.99 US) https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/32--chg70-gaming-monitor-with-quantum-dot-lc32hg70qqnxza/ P.S. This will be the first monitor I am purchasing and if anybody has any recommendations (or warnings) for better substitutions for the 27" ($469.99 US) I would love to hear them. Thanks!

I have a 4 TB WD MyCloud home NAS that I use primarily for storing movies. The MyCloud is plugged into my router and is visible to 2 TV in my house. One TV has a Roku built in and the other is a Samsung MU7000 Series. I liked the setup so much I purchased a second 4 TB MyCloud for my sister in CA (I'm in NY). She also has a Samsung TV, but hers is a 2017 model QLED. She told me she was unable to access the MyCloud through her TV. Her workaround was to access the MyCloud on her phone and then send the phone picture to her TV. Not ideal. I am visiting this week and I hope to fix this, but I need some help. On my Samsung TV (the MU7000) both my router and the MyCloud are listed under Sources. My sister has her MyCloud connected to her router and her QLED connected to the router via WiFi, same as I do. But On My sister's TV neither the router, nor the MyCloud is listed under Sources. I confirmed the TV is connected to the router. Any ideas as to why the difference? Any suggestions? I figure it must be a difference in the OS between the 2 Samsung TV's. But it seems wrong that the much more expensive TV can't access what my cheaper TV can. I would really like to get this working before I leave. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, Some 3 weeks ago I bought the 55 Inch QLED Q60R. After a week it constantly caused the laptop to freeze by overturning configurations or just by restarting the laptop, and the TV going at just 30hz, I basically gave up the possibility of having both displays (laptop and TV) at 120 hz. So if I want to config the TV to 120hz, I have to deactivate the laptop display. Is there a way to have both at 120hz? Suddenly the TV changed from showing 60hz /120hz to 60p /120p. Are 120hz and 120p the very same thing? When I run the refresh rate test (testufo.com) the difference between 120 fps, 60 fps on any test (Vertical scrolling, compare frame rates UFO, mouse arrow) shows no difference. while on the 17.3 inch laptop display the difference is huge. Is this a hint to something not working properly on the TV?) and last: Is it normal for these TV model to have a lower darker screen border? If screen goes white (or any other not so dark color) you can clearly see the lower border and the corners displaying a darker tone of that color. I´m using HDMI port 1 with nintendo switch HDMI cable. and a GTX 1070 (no max q). P.S: Is there a way to reach Google for older cached versions of webpages, not just the last cached version? I think the seller of the tv was making some nasty false advertising with this tv. I really appreciate any help here.

I currently am using a 32" LED TV because I not only game but also watch a lot of movies and shows and wanted to have somewhat decent speakers for when I have to keep things quieter than my stereo can manage. However, it is well past time to retire this as my main monitor and switch to something with better color accuracy and a faster refresh rate. I've been tossed between QLED and OLED. I know OLED has better color and higher contrast while QLED tends to have some bleeding, particularly when brightness is turned all the way up although I think burn in might be a bigger problem for me because I have a tendency to let certain games run while I walk off to do other things and when I'm working on personal projects, there are a lot of static elements in the programs I use. Is burn in avoidable even if you have a static image for 3-4 hours? If you have any specific display suggestions, I'm looking for a 32"-36" display with decent forward or down facing speakers, preferable with some downward tilt in the stand. (Can't do VESA mount).

Samsung 1080p qled 144hz va panel vs aoc 1440p 144hz ag241qx I usually game easily but decided that many good games don't come in an year that I will be rely on for leisure like when I take break from studying I need to play games but very less good single player games come in an year so I have to rely on competitive games .Now the problem is I don't have many options at 1440p 144hz in my place so I have to rely on aoc and I heard good things about monitor that it is gsync compatible vessa many ports and offer lot of adjustments people say after calliberation it looks like washed out ips not tn although it is tn panel. Besides I will be upgrading my gpu soon to probably 2060 so I think 1440p is good but some people say tHAT MONITOR IS good but some say you will forget that that monitor is tn it looks good so I am confused because of mixed reviews .Samsung have better colors but in future everyone will shift to 1440p.Samsung may have better service better contrast so in all I am not able to figure out what to do what would be better for me ?I cant extend my budget I have to buy before 27 in any case due to some reasons and market is far so I need Urgent help I am not trolling .

Hi all, I am already thinking about this a lot and I would like to upgrade my current TV with something new. I have a PS4 Pro and maybe going to upgrade to a PS5 and a gaming rig. I like to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime and sometimes Sky. I like OLED, static images burn-in (HUD in games) I like QLED, has everything what OLED has, only down is the blacks. (The newer models come close) I don't really care about that.. Needs to have: Good HDR 4K minimal 65" High Refresh Rate Good Response time VESA I don't care about the smart TV option, I use other options for that. What do you guys recommend? Thanks! P.S. I live in Germany

i was looking forward to buying a 4k tv this year but i am totally confused... after reading some articles and doing some research i found this oneplus tv ( i live in india ) which met every need i had. but it has va panel (since it is qled), the viewing angles are pretty bad, brightness is not that good and colors are also oversaturated. i know oled tvs are considered to be the best in these categories but they are too damn expensive here. so i also found the lg nanocell tv it is like qled but ips. now in ips tvs the contrast isn't that good so people buy full array local dimming tv. again these full array locally dimmed tvs are expensive...! as i watch too many movies contrast is very important for me. so my QUESTION is- should i buy a qled oneplus tv or a nanocell EDGE LIT locally dimmed lg tv which will give me better viewing experience? which has better hdr? links: lg tv -- https://www.amazon.in/LG-inches-Nano-Cell-55SM8100PTA-Ceramic/dp/B07SK7Y64W/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=lg+sm&qid=1577858039&sr=8-1 oneplus tv -- https://www.amazon.in/OnePlus-Certified-Android-55Q1IN-1-Without/dp/B07W5QZQ45/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=oneplus+tv&qid=1577858110&smid=AT95IG9ONZD7S&sr=8-2

I bought a monitor yesterday and it doesn't recognise any signal source via hdmi or dp. What can i do? Tried a pc, a laptop, drivers different ports etc.

Wanted to draw your attention to a very poor performance of Samsung Q7FN in dark HDR scenes combined with bright subtitles. This TV is being highly ranked in web reviews and I think this drawback by itself should bring the TV rank down considerably. If you use subtitles you should avoid this TV! Take a look at a video I captured. Totally unacceptable: https://youtu.be/LxpsTIfBP8Q Note: no ECO options were turned on. Changing the local dimmer from high to low doesn't affect this. Actually, there was no single setting that caused this to be less aggressive.

Hello good people, basically i said to myself, i won't buy a new monitor until there is something, which is in no way a downgrade from my current monitor. Finally there is a monitor on the market, which offers a upgrade in every way to my trusty AOC AG352UCG6. i just ordered my Odyssey G7 32" after seeing the reviews from LTT, HUB, RTINGS, etc... From my perspective it ticks all the boxes for a no-compromise gaming display. HDR is like always with monitors subpar but for that i have my LG C9 OLED, so that's not a problem (I really hope for high-refresh >27" 1440p OLED monitors in a few years!) Is there anyone who already has this monitor and is willing to share the experience or any strange issues that are not covered by reviews?

Hey guys! So I'm looking to upgrade my TV. The placement of the TV is to be directly opposite of 3 windows, which is why I'm heavily going for a non reflective TV. I'm trying to figure out which is best, between the Samsungs 2020 model Q80T 49 inch qled and the 2019 Q85R 55 inch qled. I mostly use my TV for movies and casting stuff from my phone. I don't expect to game on it. Hope you guys can help! I've tried to research about it myself but it seems like both are close in terms of display and so on?

Hey all! Currently got 3x 1080p 23" monitors. They're average but they've served me well over the last 7 and a half years. Going to be swapping out two of these, for a 3440x1440 monitor, and keeping one on the side. Need some help choosing between these two models: https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-UltraWide-35WN73A-35-inch-Monitor-21/dp/B088LNHMZP/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&qid=1596830404&refinements=p_n_feature_two_browse-bin%3A12128847031&s=computers&sr=1-3 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LC34J791WTUXEN-34-Inch-LED-Monitor/dp/B07FBL6WSC/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&qid=1596830404&refinements=p_n_feature_two_browse-bin%3A12128847031&s=computers&sr=1-4 They look pretty similar, but with the LG having HDR10, and the Samsung being QLED. I'm aware that these are two completely different features, but this is the only thing I can see that tells them apart. Both of them are the same resolution, 100Hz, FreeSync. Samsung has a shorter response time (4ms as opposed to the 5ms of the LG), and the LG is 35" and not 34", which would mean slightly lower PPI. My question is then, would you rather the £550 Samsung QLED, or the £480 LG LED with HDR10? Any input would be great! Thanks in advance! Rhys!

I'm trying to decide between two different monitors. lg 27gn950: https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27gn950-b-gaming-monitor 32" Odyssey G7 Gaming Monitor: https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/32--odyssey-g7-gaming-monitor-lc32g75tqsnxza/ I basically want an all in one monitor that has good image quality and fast refresh rates and response time for gaming. The LG monitor has a 4K resolution, hdr, and a 144hz refresh rate at a good price point too. The Samsung Odyssey has a 1440 100R curved screen with 240 hz refresh rate, so it is the superior choice for gaming. But I wondering how the curved screen would work for viewing content? I think higher resolution beats the refresh rate but the Odyssey has QLED so could it beat the 4K Nano IPS panel, but would the curve screen distort the image when viewing at a distance?

Buy LG 65SK95: On Amazon: http://geni.us/A6nLH8 On Newegg: http://geni.us/obBpKf9 The newest and best TVs for 2018 are rolling out, and as usual there’s a ton of marketing malarkey to cut through: OLED vs QLED, quantum dot vs nano cell, SUHD vs…Super UHD? More like ‘Super UGH’…

I just want to put a nail on this conversation with my dad as he is very concerned with the burn in. Our cable TV has a static logo on the screen that doesn't go away so that's one concern he has. TV use is sporadic but its used from 3-10 hours a day 3-4 is most common, but there are more days where it is not used at all. He's been looking at the QLED that Linus actually showed in his latest video but once again was enticed by that OLED he talked about at the end of the video. He's been wanting to buy a new TV but its been a crossroad he can't seem to cross because the burn in part of OLED is a big concern for a big purchase like a TV for him.

Hey there So i recently build my pc, almost new, together. (New Motherboard, Cpu, Watercooling) And wimdows 10 often boots normaly. But sometimes when i start my pc, the PC boots in Windows but gives no signal to the Monitor. ( i know that win10 boots up because the speakers give me a noise when steam has some news for me) Or pc starts, al lights glow up and fans spin, QLED runs through all codes till AO (thats the code when my pc is normaly in windows) But there is too no signal. So what is happening here? My rig: Windows 10 on older SSD 2 HDDS Asus MAXIMUS X FORMULA I7 8700K EVGA GTX 1080TI SSC 16 GB DDR4 TRIDENT Z RGB and everything is cooled with custom hard tube cooling. Temps on all parts are chillin cool. After some restarts the windows recovery help tool starts and says that there is a startup problem. When it trys to fix it, it says it failed to repair it and safes some logfile in windows. When i then just tap on "continue with win10" it sometimes continues with it. Please hep

So I've been searching around and I just wanted to ask here if anyone can explain it better to me... Some questions might probably be dumb, but I dont know a lot and even if i come out as an idiot i'll learn something new haha Question 1) Are LCD,LED LCD,OLED,QLED just backlighting types for the "glass" screen? Question 2) What kind of screens are computer monitors today? (LCD,LED,OLED,...) example: what does the Asus PG279Q have cuz i couldnt find any specification? Question 3) What's the general difference between OLED and QLED? Is it just in the branding mostly or some other technical reason? Sorry if some questions made you cringe beacuse of my stupidity but hey, someone has to tell me what's up lol...

So I have two options for my next monitor. I could go with this, http://www.dell.com/en-us/member/shop/dell-24-gaming-monitor-s2417dg/apd/210-aizs/monitors-monitor-accessories, or I could go with this, https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/27--chg70-gaming-monitor-with-quantum-dot-lc27hg70qqnxza/. Currently, I have an rx580, but I will be upgrading that too. If I go with the samsung, I would have to get either another rx580, upgrade my mobo and psu, and deal with crossfire configuration. But if I went with the dell, I could just get a 1080ti, sell my rx580, and be good. Which would be best? EDIT: I also get a member discount at dell.

Samsung and Harman International plan to integrate QLED (Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode) screens in electric cars. These screens apparently use local dimming to reduce consumption and to increase the range of electric cars by saving more electricity that will then go to the motor. It's not the first time we have seen these two companies collaborate (which is obvious since Samsung acquired Harman in 2016). A good example is using OLED displays and AKG headphones with the hugely popular Galaxy S8 and S8+. As quoted in WhatHiFi (https://www.whathifi.com/news/harman-and-samsung-announce-worlds-first-qled-in-car-display) This is not the only announcement they have made. They are also releasing a feature called Configurable Entertainment based on AudioworX's open platform. This platform allows companies and OEMs to design and implement new user experiences. This feature lets users customize their in-car experiences even though they're in the same space. I'm gonna let WhatHiFi do the talking here, they can put it better than me: This new system will use a combination of audio processing and visual changes to alter the shape and sonic characteristics on demand. Definitely intresting and looking forward to hear more about that in the future. Hope the LTT crew is having fun at CES! In the market for a new tv and dunno what to look for. Looking around thinking 4k but thats where I freeze. What are better samsung qled, sony oled, LG oled. Use mainly for movies watching sports and occasional gaming. Budget around $1500AUD-$2000AUD so looking for something around that price mark that will give best picture quality smart 4k tv 50" to 60". Anything coming out soon that will put these to shame? Oled do seem way more expensive than Qled.
