Is there a 2.5" NAS HDD? If there is, can you run it on the PS4? I am not talking about compatibility, I am talking about if you can use a NAS Hard Drive for normal non-"Professional" use. I am choosing the NAS, because I really need a lot of storage to store my game library, I have a huge collection, so 16TB is going to be really awesome!* *(If it is possible)

Apologies that this is kinda long-winded, but I've attempted to cut out the fat while also giving as many details as possible, hoping there's some clues in there for those of you that are far more privy to networking than i am. Thank you in advance for reading this, should you choose to. I had Spectrum internet 200 Mbps Cat8 from my router into my room, connected to this network switch Bought two 3-feet Cat8 to go from switch to my PS4 and my first ever PC (built last week after watching a lot of LTT) Consistently ~230 Mbps download speeds on both PS4 and PC Wireless speed tests on all devices never reached above 50 Mbps Called Spectrum, upgraded to 400 Mbps Still worked flawlessly via hardwire on PS4, averaging about 300-350 Mbps, and the PC pushing 480 Mbps wifi still horrendous Called Spectrum, they come and replace the both the Modem and the Router BAM! First time I've ever had 430+ Mbps wifi on my phone/laptop/wifi. They almost feel like new devices. Now, I'm browsing the internet on my wired PC and I have Twitch up, watching a friend stream. He keeps buffering, skipping, and then eventually I get a black screen network error (#2000) and a decoding error (#3000). I refresh, nothing, I try other streamers and I get the same errors. I google these two errors and I follow every instruction on how to clear these; clear cache disable hardware acceleration and I tried the Twitch PC app, Firefox, and Explorer -- same deal. This only started happening after the router and modem were swapped. I thought, "Whatever, Twitch is just being weird" and booted up my PS4 to play some Apex Legends with some friends. We successfully play one match, and back out to the lobby. I appear to be the only one readied up, so I'm just I'm just waiting there talking with my friends and they go, "Hey Chris, where'd you go?" Uhh, I'm in the lobby waiting for you to ready up? "We're already in the game..." They join my party and I disappear, I join them and they connect to the match and I don't, etc. Really weird. I uninstall, and begin to download...and it gives me an ETA of 6 hours for this 40 GB file. It took me an hour to download the 100 GB Warzone application when I was on 200 Mbps download speeds a month prior... Call Spectrum I explain the buffering on Twitch via Chrome, Firefox and the app on my PC and two laptops on WiFi, the horrendous wired download speeds on PS4, and how this all started after the modem and router were replaced. They reset the connection to the modem and router, and that fixes nothing. In fact, the download speeds are now back to 200-230 Mbps. Spectrum tells me to give it time... Work the next day (this morning) Speed tests on my work computer are still 200 Mbps Call Spectrum They reset everything yet again, and we finally get the speed back up to 430+ Mbps Skype meeting for work Screen share I'm watching is pixelated, buffering a ton, and I am thrown out of the call several times. Throughout the day, dozens of times per hour, my Skype disconnects and reconnects, prompting my manager to ask "Are you having internet issues?" Fuck yeah I am I'm missing Skype messages through the desktop app and half of them are coming through via WiFi on the Skype app on my phone instead. I test out Apex again, and the same deal as the night before. I start testing hardware: New Cat6 cable from PS4 to same port in Switch: issues persist Speed test my girlfriend's PC -- Cat6 into different port on the switch: 480 Mbps Use that Cat6 and plug into my PS4: anywhere between 7 Mbps up to 70 Mbps Speed test my PC, Cat8: 480 Mbps Swap the PC Cat8 into the PS4: 2 out of 10 tests gave me 300+ Mbps, the rest sub 50 Mbps Swap the PS4 Cat8 into the PC: 480 MBps So at this point I think I've eliminated the issue being the network switch and the cables, as any combination of cables and switch ports didn't help the PS4. Wifi on this PS4 was anywhere between 6 Kbps and 30 Mbps. Wifi on different PS4 in a different room (further from router): consistently in the 200-300 Mbps range This different PS4 hardwired directly into the router: consistently in the 300 Mbps range. This different PS4 wired into switch using Cat8 in multiple ports: 7-70 Mbps This next bit makes me think this is a switch issue: PS4 with issues wired directly into the router: consistently 300-380 Mbps speeds... However, I'm not certain this is a speed issue: Even if my speed is between the 7-70 Mbps speeds while wired, I shouldn't be having the connectivity issues I am having, right? My wired work computer was still clocking speeds of 480 Mbps while also giving me connectivity issues with Skype and my work VPN Speeds of 480 Mbps still give Twitch buffering/error code issues on PC/work laptop/personal laptop I sat on hold for nearly 2 hours with Spectrum tonight, and another hour on the phone troubleshooting. They reset everything again, which again caused the speeds to reset to 200 Mbps...and then they fixed that yet again and they're back to 400+. I've ordered a new gigabit network switch, even though I'm not 100% certain that's the issue. Right now I'm pointing at the new Modem and Router as the culprits, since these issues arose immediately after they were installed, yet Spectrum says everything is connected and testing A-OK on their end. Any insight or advice appreciated, as I feel like I'm all out of options and not only is this affecting my gaming/entertainment, it's now affecting my ability to work from home... Speed test on this PC taken right before posting, just for fun:

When you play games that are stored on an external SSD but the save files are stored on an internal HDD, will save files still load faster? And if the save files are stored on an internal SSD and games are stored on an external HDD, it has the opposite effect?

So I'm currently in a pinch trying to upgrade my ps4 storage by using a external hdd. I received the HDD as a gift about 3 months ago and haven't been able to get it to work since then. Originally it came in with a Nyko Data bank but towards end of the reformatting on the ps4 the data bank begins to flicker and turns off. Which causes an error message to appear when the download finishes. Then recently I purchased Rosewill 3.5" hard drive enclosure because the ps4 can now support it so I thought it would work but turns out that the ps4 still won't read the HDD...lol. I don't know what to do now lol.

So, I have my own rig that I play games on with an r9 290. It works pretty well, and for a long time I was using an xbox 360 controller on it since I find I like using a controller over a mouse and keyboard setup (console pleb at heart, I know.) The PC is a living room pc so I opted for a wireless reciever and a wireless xbox 360 controller. But eventually I got tired of the 360 controller and wanted to upgrade. I tried out a ps4 controller via bluetooth for a little while but was always getting bad latency issues, so I replaced my crappy bluetooth USB dongle with a better reviewed one. This did not help, so I figured the issue was using controller input was making my latency worse, so instead I decided to buy an xbox one controller and connect that via bluetooth. I tried that out for a while and at first it worked great, but now I am having similar issues, either latency, or the controller just disconnects. So here's my question: is this the fault of my bluetooth adapter? If so, what is the most cost effective and elegant way to get bluetooth on a custom built PC? Because as things stand now, my bluetooth in my macbook pro is wayyyyyy better than any kind of bluetooth I have ever tried with my custom gaming PC. Hello everyone, I'm trying to find an answer on this. I'm about to buy PS4, I want lately Stream/Record Games. The thing is, I'd like to connect my PS4 to my PC (via Capture Card BUILT in PC) then record/stream Monitor with OBS. I want connect PS4 via HDMI to my Capture Card that is Inside of my PC, then lead HDMI from my CAPTURE CARD to monitor. Then I want to STREAM/RECORD that monitor via OBS - using my PC (I have 2 monitors). So the situation will be like this - I'm playing PS4 Game that is shown on my Monitor + I can still use my PC - work with OBS/change Scenes etc. IS IT POSSIBLE? Btw - I dont know about Streaming on PS4 via Downloading Twitch app right on PS4, i DO KNOW about Remote Play, I just want do it by this way that I wrote. Thank you so much for responding - sorry for bad english/bad describing. John Bel

Hey guys, I want to play steam games (mostly just rocket league) with a controller such as the xbox controller or play station controller on my 27 inch late 2015 mid-tier Mac (currently running macOS Sierra). Which controller would be the best option (price is nothing to worry about), and how would I go about connecting it? Thanks. -TheHighResolutionTechie

Hello you guys, I had a quick question, couple years ago I bought a ps4 which is currently sitting in my room, probably has not been touched in over 6 months. I work on a lot of simulations that lend themselves for parallel processing since the tasks to be carried out are not particularly intense, just have to do A LOT of them. I have seen a huge decrease in the time I spend running a simulation by accessing the other cores of my laptop (which has a quadcore processor). I have read that a ps4 has an 8 core cpu and was wondering, is there any way I can hook up my laptop in some way to tap in to the ps4´s cpu and use its processor to speed up my simulations? I would not mind if I can no longer use the ps4 for games and stuff. Thank you!!

So, its been out for a bit now. How many of you guys picked it up? I bought a copy over the weekend, and I cant stop playing (exception being for work). My thought: Its a well thought out Action/Adventure RPG. I'm enjoying more than the PC Version of Skyrim. That being said, its the first game I've picked up in the past 3 months.

So I am set on getting Sennheiser's PC360's, I really love the mic quality, now here is the catch. I want to be using this headset for my PS4 so I need a USB input. I have found this on Amazon and I would like to see your guy's thoughts/changes I should make. Thanks. Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004275EO4

So while I feel like the obvious answer should just straight up be the Pro, all the PS4 Pro's in my area seem to be sold out and I'm.... somewhat of an impatient person lol. There's tons of PS4 slims in stock in my area and they all come bundled with a game. Should I wait for the Pro's to come back in stock or just get a PS4 slim and save over 100 dollars? (I live in NY, taxes suck). Things to add: I don't have a 4K TV, I was mainly interested in the PS4 Pro's new "Boost Mode" option to gives games more FPS when they're just being played in 1080p. I AM currently for the most part a PC and Xbox Gamer but I am not biased towards any companies overall, so that'll most likely change and even out once I actually get the PS4. Point is, I don't actually care too much about graphics on my console games, but if I can make the FPS a little better then why not?

Hey everyone, I am planning on exchanging my PS4 for this PC. I checked the components and if I build it myself with those specifications it will cost me around $320 so I thought it is a good deal, let me know if I am making a mistake. Secondly. I plan on upgrading the graphics card, what should I upgrade it with that fits with the AMD FX6300 CPU?

I already have 2 good PC's I been over the fence to get a PS4Pro but damn, those games are expensive not like on PC, which is what is holding me back, I won't pay for online multiplayer, for that I have my PC here's the thing: should I get the normal PS4 (bundled with unchartred) for $257 or the Pro for $400 whenever Amazon gets it back on stock No, I don't have a 4K TV and I'm not planning to buy one in the future, But I like decent framerates Why do I want a PS4? the only reason is good for, exclusives that's it, I already have BD reader and burner on my PC, and I'm used to K&M what do you guys think?

After updating to the patch 4.50, my ps4 won't let me find any lobbies for multiplayer games like Uncharted 4, Battlefield 1 and 4 and gta 5. I have tried rebooting my router but that doesn't help at all.

So I've had a ps4 and gaming PC for a while now, and I have to say I love them both dearly. BUT I want to marry my to machines (as much as I can that is) and run the ps4 audio through a second monitor and a set of external speakers. But there is an issue- the damn thing wont work. I'm connecting my speakers to the audio jack on my Asus vp228h and my ps4 to the monitor's HDMI port and nothing. So I do some of the googling and see if I can at least route the thing through my headset (So I can play something and watch a dumb video because I'm addicted to multitasking) So I put it into the Line in jack on the io (Motherboard is the MSI Krait gaming 3x... not really sure that's important actually) and what do ya know it didn't work. So I go into my control panel and see if the line in is set to listening: I check that box, click apply annndd.... Nothing. All I can do is get the ps4 to run through the god awful built in speakers. I'm at a loss, I want to be able to do my unnecessary multitasking and hear all my stuff through my headset, BUT I still want to play the thing speakers only if I'm feeling more casual. I've seen plenty of walkthroughs and read a decent 15 troubleshooting/ FAQ posts, and they all seem to end the same- the "Listen to this device" isn't checked. Unfortunately in this case mine is and I just can't get the issue resolved.

So, silly question: How much functionality and ability will I lose by connecting a PS4 or PS4 Pro to a TV that only support HDMI 1.3? From what I read, I figure I probably would not be able to see any increase in frames with the PS4 Pro, and I know I wouldn't get 3D. The TV's not 4k, so that's not an issue. Just verifying as I want one for a few console-exclusives. Also Sony's kind of crap with their customer service so I don't want to ever speak to them if I can help it...
