Title. I currently have 2.1 ch. Creative speakers with subwoofer which I got about 9 years ago. I'm looking for an upgrade that will perform well in music and games. But my one specific need is that it should have dual input so that I can use the same speaker for my PC and PS4 (through monitor's 3.5mm jack). Another question, is a speaker upgrade worth it at all? I don't know how much audio technology has improved over the years. Or should I buy inexpensive speakers just for the ps4? I was planning to hit two birds with one stone by just getting a single speaker that would provide both an upgrade and dual input, but I need more advice. Thanks.

I have a plan. I have been wanting to get a Hi-Fi setup for a seriously good time now and I found a multipurpose configuration that seems to be a good idea for me, yet i can't find anyone online that has the same configuration so I'm unsure about the functionality of it all. I am hesitant because for one, i don't know if the Amplifier will drive the headphones. Let me break it down for you guys, this is my planned setup: Source: Mac Pro 2010 (optical or USB) or PS4/PS5 or Turntable DAC: Schiit Modi Multibit Amp: Schiit Vali 2 Headphones: Bayerdynamics DT 1990 Pro For starters, I'd like to ask whether anyone knows for sure if the Schiit Vali (or Magni for that matter) can drive the DT1990's, has anyone tried this pairing? And can give their opinion on this setup? I have another question regarding gaming, this setup is thought to be a multipurpose setup (all kinds of music, video editing, gaming, movies, etc) so I'd like to ask if anyone has used the Modi DAC with PS4, does anyone know for sure if it works fine? What about lag, does a setup like this present a problem with audio lag when gaming on a console? My reasoning behind this setup is for one the price, as i think is a reasonably priced solution, but also that I've heard the top notes with the DT1990's can be too bright, so i thought the tubed amplification could help mellow it out. I also wanted to ask for recomendations for a high level but low price turntable, as I have inhereted quite a vinyl collection, and I would love to pair it up with the Vali tube amp. Any good and aesthetic recommendations?? My last question is, does the Modi multibit really present beefits vs the normal version? I know DAC quality really makes a difference yet the price difference is pretty steep, which i am willing to pay if it's worth it, so is there really a substantial difference worth the price difference?

hi everyone, i have an issue which i thought was only with the game but when i have HDR enabled (on my tv it looks perfectly fine) and record using thre share button or even try to play via remote play the output video turns all the blacks into blue... does anyone have the same issue or does anyone know a fix for this other than to turn off HDR? i have proof with a youtube video i tried to make but it will stay unlisted for now, it is the game watch dogs: Legion so beware of spoilers (although they may not be there still be warned) https://youtu.be/SPipWGfbDQU keep in mind that everything that even remotely looks like a faint blue is supposed to be black (water is black in gameplay but bright blue in recording) any help will be appriciated

This is the TV that we already own: https://gadgets.ndtv.com/sony-32-inch-lcd-hd-ready-tv-klv-32r302e-10265 I dont have a proper PC to try out some games and find it out myself atm. so I was wondering if you could comment anything about its performance by looking at the spec sheet. I will be buying a GPU possibly a gtx 960 or a gtx 1050 by December and pair with this TV if it offers playable experience in single player games and in Rainbow 6 siege online. OR if I find a gud deal on a PS4, i might get one of those and pair with this TV. Would like to know if its experience with a PS4 will also be bad. Thanks

So I have always wanted a PS4 to play the PS exclusives but never could afford one as they are quite expensive in our country. The used market isnt that cheap either. However when the PS5 hits the stores im expecting many people would sell their PS4s to upgrade to the PS5 and as a result im hoping the prices will go down a bit lower. My biggest concern however is their reliability. The last console I had was an Xbox 360, had 2 of them and both got RROD. I really dont want to go through another one of those situations as consoles are pretty much un-repairable to my experience because everything is on the mobo. Is it 'safe' If i were to get a used one of those early 500gb PS4 models or even the ones that came later?

Good evening! So many of my friends left the PS4 to start playing warzone on the pc and I’m looking for a simple work around if possible. So I’m currently able to use the headset to listen to PS4 via the optic cable and plug the headset into the PC via usb for audio but it’s leaving cables laying around making the place a mess. I’m having to swap back to the PS4 when other friends pop on for party chat. Is there some sort of splitter that would allow me to have the base station plugged into other at the same time without the need to remove cables? like some sort of switch? Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks and take care.

My ps4 is making a lot of sound and overheats a few minutes after my gameplay. have recently found a way to take out the cover on top of my ps4 after which the overheating problem has been resolved but sound still remains at its highest.

Hey, I currently have a motherboard with one ethernet port and two additional network ethernet cards. I'm wondering if there's a way to make it so I can run one cable from my router and into my motherboard, then use one cable from one of the adapters to my ps4 and the other adapter to my wifi extender. I'm running windows 10. Is this even possible? I've tried the bridging in windows 10 but its really confusing to me and it seems like I can bridge from my computer to my ps4 but then I lose connection on my pc. Does anyone have a solution to this? Ethernet MOBO = the port on my motherboard Ethernet ext = the ethernet card that goes into my extender Ethernet console = the ethernet card that goes to my ps4.

My friend is having serious thermal and performance issues with his 1 year old PS4 PRO after he followed this video on YouTube to boost its performance. He said it was working fine before, and now it can't run unless there is ice cold airflow. Can someone help him out? I'm sending this post link to him, since I'm the tech geek that he knows but he wants me to reach out bc I'm not 100% sure redoing the performance boost in the video will fix his machine. From my research its a 50-50 chance it'll fix it or completely brick his machine. Video:

The thing which frustrates me the most is I am playing Motogp 18,19 and 20 and still I cannot even ride a bike without crashing few seconds. I had big ambitions like participating in esports by seeing how good other drivers are I am completely feeling low. For the past 3 years I purchase the game on day one and then get frustrated. Please help me!

So I've been playing around with some recording and I'm trying to record gameplay from my PS4 (I've only done it with my switch thus far). I have an HD60s and I use it as a pass through for the console as I record on my PC. So, I switched the HDMI from my switch to the PS4 and the pass through worked fine. But then when I opened OBS and it picked up a video signal, it goes in and out. The PS4 pass through pops on the screen for a second then goes black, and keeps doing this indefinitely. I thought maybe the cable died or something, so I tried it without the capture card and it worked fine. Then I thought maybe the capture card wasn't working, but I switched back to the switch and recording works just fine. So, I'm a little confused. I thought maybe something weird was happening with OBS so I tried using Elgatos own capture software and it gave me the same result. I'm not really sure why it would be doing this, I inspected the PS4 for anything weird but I can't really find anything that would make the signal just die. Especially since the regular pass through works just fine Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

My partner has an issue with one her PS4 controllers where the R1 button randomly triggers without being pressed. I've taken the controller apart and the contacts seem to be clean. I'm wondering if anyone here can suggest a fix for this as my google-fu has failed me and I am just finding guides for when buttons are getting stuck, whereas in this case the button is returning to normal position without issue but is then randomly activating without input. I've seen some mention of using WD40 to clean the contacts, but thought I best ask for advice first.

I broke my PS4 and recently subscribed to Nvidia Geforce now (Online game streaming like Stadia). I have a 100mbps internet connection. Even though I have a fast connection capable of 1080p gaming. I alway worry that my game streaming will overload my ISP and i play at low res 720p. Can i play at full 1080p and dont worry about overloading my ISP internet connection? Very Confused? Thanks.

Hello all! My name is Daniel and my PS4 Slim’s optical drive is dead. It all happened a few days ago. I was watching Da Ali G show on DVD with my PS4 Slim. While watching the second episode, the video and audio suddenly paused. At the time I thought the disc was dirty or scratched at that point and figured normal DVD playback problems. I gave it a few minutes, but no change. While the console still responded to controller input, the video would not resume. I could not hear any noises from the optical drive. I tried seeking, pressing play/pause, and fast forwarding, but no change from the paused video. Suddenly, the screen went black and the console rebooted. After logging back in, I tried reopening the DVD Player application, but was greeted with an unfamiliar error message. In short, it stated the disc was not the correct region for the console. Now, I am fully versed in the different disc regions for DVD and Bluray. This disc was region 1 only, and can play in my other DVD players around the house. I tried to eject the disc. I pushed the eject button, which gave one beep, but nothing happened. No sounds from the optical drive and my DVD did not budge. This has never happened to me before. I tried a software eject, which also did not work. In the end, I broke out the my precision set and manually ejected my DVD. After removing the disc, I powered off the PS4 Slim and turned it back on. I tried putting a PS4 game into the drive, but the system would not accept the disc. I tried placing it all the way into the slot, but the ODD would not do anything to suck it in. It behaved like it had no power at all. I pressed the eject button, and it responded with the normal quick succession of beeps that indicate the drive is empty. My next course of action was a software update. My console is running software version 7.50, and it had an update to 7.51. I tried updating the system, but I hit a snag: error code SU-42118-6. I had to plug in my controller to the console in order to navigate through the error message. I have not tried a USB update yet, as I wanted to hear from you all about what I should do next. That where it stands right now, I am stuck with a PS4 Slim Digital Edition, which has forced me to break out my PS3 Slim to play games and watch movies. I just want to fix my PS4 Slim so I can finish Red Dead Redemption 2. Some background info, this was the first time I used the console since February. I am a physical media person, so 95% of my library is physical PS4 games. I am an A+ licensed computer technician, so feel free to speak in technical jargon, I will understand ;).

Hi guys I'm getting 550/35 internet soon and I'm wondering what the maximum download speed on my PS4 would be. I've got the PS4 1TB old shape model. I'm just worried as my friend has 250/250 and he says he doesn't get the full download speed. Does it make a difference if I use Wifi or ethernet? Thanks in advance

I have my ps4 wired directly into my modem with Ethernet and have good internet speed. But still have a moderate nat type. Is there a way to get it to be open?

So it's a weird situation that I have when I download on my PS4 I get about 15mpbs and it downloads games pretty well for my internet speed.but when I am on my PC it is rare for it to get to 10mpbs and it takes forever to download anything.the weirdest thing is I did a speed test and got 20 mpbs. Idk If it helps but I live in new Zealand

Hi, Just wondering is it possible for someone who has Fifa on the PC to play against someone who has Fifa on the PS4? I think it's Fifa 19.

I zip tied the cables of the monitor and PS4 on the back of the stand of the monitor. Please give me advice to make my setup look better..... Thankssss.

Hey, guys! So, I have two ps4's hooked up to one network. One ps4 is wired to the router and the other one is connected to the WIFI. Whenever the two ps4's try to get into a game on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare it won't always work. It worked fine at first, then it wouldn't work, then it would only work every now and then. I don't know if it's the home net work, Netgear CM-500 modem and a Netgear AC1750 router, or if it's the game servers. I need ideas on how to try and fix it or if you have a fix, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey guys, I am having an weird problem with my Ps4pro heating. Let’s get this out of way first since will be getting this first reply. I have already reapplied the thermal solution and cleaned the fan. so here is my problem, when I am playing less demanding games like fifa20 the console gets hot when I play a match where it doesn’t have to process that much graphics but then when I jump into a more graphics oriented section it suddenly ramp up the fans and shuts down. while playing Yakuza 0 the console get very hot and it seems that fans don’t get ramp up anytime but the console doesn’t shut down although it is getting hotter than playing FIFA. and to make it more weird very demanding games like god of war and Spider-Man runs very fine and cooler than FIFA as it’s running fans all the time. i don’t know what’s causing this problem, if anybody knows what’s happening please let me know.
