So I bought a Power Color Fighter 6700 XT a couple of weeks ago and haven't had the time to install it yet. In the meantime, I've been thinking of returning it and getting an XFX SWFT 6700 XT or maybe the Sapphire Pulse instead. The main reason being noise levels. I was hoping with the three fan longer model, it might be quieter. Does anyone have any experience with any of those models or have any other recommendation for $330 or less for that GPU? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to decide between two graphics cards: PowerColor HellHound RX 7900XT VS XFX Speedster Merc 310 RX 7900XT People say that the XFX has much better thermals, but that the PowerColor has much better software and is kind of the EVGA of Radeon. If I could, I would go for a Sapphire card, but they are unavailable in my region. Both are the same price. I'm also going to do overclocking in MSI Afterburner. Which of the both mentioned above should I pick?

Summary Some Powercolor Red Devil 7900XTX suffers from high temp (including, in usual fashion, hotspot temp), further investigation from Igor (IgorsLab) discovers that the card was having a temperature issue due to QC issues related to the cooler mounting and thermal paste application from the factory (Image from IgorsLab). Powercolor already contacted IgorsLab regarding the issue and telling users affected by this issue to contact Powercolor but so far no announcements made on their social platform Quotes My thoughts 7900XTX seems can't take a break from QC issues. While to be fair this is a fairly easy fix, not everyone would want to teardown their 7900XTX or even have the know how to do the teardown, yeah maybe just a small percentage of them but still, it's frustrating to know your finished build have to be disassembled (well, the gpu have to be disassembled) because while gaming the temps were not great and the bad news is that they don't quickly announced the issue so you have to make a guess on what's actually going on with your card until someone tells you or you dig deeper to know it's a thermal paste/ cooler mount issue, which on a card like 7900XTX especially on their 3rd party model you'd think it's going to be good out of box, but no you have to go through (maybe) half an hour of disassembly to repaste and remount it, or if you live in a region where warranty void if removed stickers actually does what it says if the RMA peeps sees that it's broken or peeled, you have to bring it for RMA and wait for a few days, maybe a week worst case. So yeah, basically for any Radeon card makers: 7000 series, bare chiplet cards, not a bare monolithic. Don't forget to spread it even and correctly cover the entire die. It's not a Ryzen CPU where you can just do X four dot pattern and call it a day. And please, if there's any of this problems and you acknowledge it, immediately announce it to the public with clear detail so people know what to do if they are affected. I could buy the PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 XT Fighter for 400€ or the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6750 XT Gaming OC 12G for 460€. Is it worth it, paying the 60€ more? It's not that much performance, but the card is bigger and has more fans. Gigabyte is also better known, my friends have simular nVidia cards. Should I save the 60€ or will I get disadvantages? I want to have a silent computer.

Hi everyone, first time poster here. Got a question. So I bought a Powercolor Red dragon RX 570 8GB version. The card was used for mining but not for a long time so I figured it was a good deal since it was cheap by todays prices. My issue is whenever I want to install drivers it wont install properly since I believe it has a mining bios on it. For now im using the atikmdag-patcher-bios.exe to make the gpu have working drivers and I can use it to game and so on but since the newest drivers for the GPU, that patcher does not work for me anymore. So I would like to if its possible and not too hard to flash the stock bios so I can install drivers normally and use the GPU without any issues. Below is my GPU-z attachment. It seems to use Samsung memory(I saw people mention that a lot about those) and if I could get a step by step guide on how to flash the stock bios it would be really appreciated. Hope you can understand what im asking since english is not my native language. Thank you in advance! The gpu-z screenshot is with the atikmdag patcher applied.

Thank you in advance. Here is the video https://youtu.be/80Tbxm32KoY Edit: I forgot to mention that i started to hear same noise in my speakers when gpu is on heavy load.

Hi Guys, I have a "Problem". In my System i have a 6900 XT Liquid Devil by Powercolor, an awesome card. On vacation and maybe a little drunk saw the 6950 liquid devil at Mindfactory (german onlineshop), for 1449 € and bought it. And no, this is no braging, i know it is a very first world problem. I have seen used 6900 liquids go away for around 1300€. Now the question: what card should I use? I am really not sure.
-
Hi y'all. I use the RX 6900xt liquid devil from powercolor (non ultimate). Since it is a quiet build i sadly get to experience some coilwhine. Does anyone have the same issue and maybe a solution on how to quiet her down a bit? I have experimented a little and the tone changes with the clock frequency. I can boost her to something around 2,7 ghz but since i do not need the performancegain i am simply looking for the best settings (under or overclock) to keep her quiet-ish. Dont get me wrong: i love the card ant really liked building a overkill coolingsolution. Maybe someone knows good settings or some other trick i can use. Thanks in advance!

SO I've seen quite a few PowerColor RX 6800Xt for what in the current market, is damn good pricing. But, they're cheapish, and wanted to know if any owners of these particular models of cards have had any issues! I know drivers and black screen can cause a few issues, but it is what it is. (Tell more about this though is that's the case)

I recently got a Powercolor RX550 4GB. The card works mostly fine apart from the fan speed not being detected on any software. However, the fans do spin up just how they are expected to. Any idea what to do? Could it just be a loose cable? I only got this card 28th April (5 days ago) and twice it has already stopped outputting all video and nothing seems to work except audio. Not even the power button to shut down seems to work. I had to force shut down, first time also had to use a restore point as it would freeze on boot up, second time turned back on like nothing happened.

I just recently bought the new PowerColor RX6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate, and I've been having issues with trying to sync the RGB. I've tried troubleshooting the wires, the software, and checking the pins on the card and everything look fine. My motherboard software won't sync with the card just stays static red. I've tried using the DevilZone software, but it won't open and says it this card doesn't support the software. I've tried asking for help on the Devil Club forums to no avail and PowerColor doesn't seem to be monitoring their own forums. The card works very well!! and I'm beyond happy that I was able to get my hands on one (even though I spent and arm, leg, and kidney for it, even at MSRP), but this is annoying and frustrating to say the least and would like it to work as advertised. If anyone has any insight on this I would be grateful.

Hi, I recently purchased a second hand PowerColor Red Devil RX580 8GB. Upon running I noticed that the card gets really hot when running benchmarks and playing games. The temperature is around 76°C± with auto fan curve running at 90%+. And sometime 100% at 80°C. I've tried replacing the thermal paste with a Artic MX-4, no luck. Tried changing the oily thermal pads to Thermalright Odyssey thermal pads, a thickness of 0.5mm and 2.0mm, still no luck. So I thought it might the thermal was too thick since I measured it was 2.0mm uncompressed and 1.5mm compressed, however the thermal pads I have was hard and not really easy to compressed, so I changed to 1.5mm, again still no luck. This is getting frustrating as I have no idea what else to do. I have a Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8GB. I ran the same benchmarks and games, the temperature is 70°C±, however the fan speed never exceed 50%. Please help, could it be the heatsink leaked the working liquid or something? Is that even possible? I noticed 1 outer fin from the heatsink was slightly bended, I bended it back into shape.

I stopped by Microcenter in St. Davids, PA (outside of Philly) and they had some Radeon 6000 series GPU's in stock surprisingly. On a whim, I picked up the Powercolor Red Devil 6800XT since I don't know whenever I will get my hands on one of the 6000 series GPUs in the near future. According to Powercolor, it recommends using an 850 watt power supply. Do I necessarily need this kind of power supply? The reason why is I am planning a build with a Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini which can only support an SFX/SFX-L power supply. I know anything above 750 watts in SFX/SFX-L format is not common. After checking multiple watt calculators, a lot them said I would be fine running a 650 or 750 watt power supply. Since this is my first "expensive, balls-to-the-wall" build I'm hesitant to run 100-200 watts below recommended. I will provide planned build parts at the bottom of post. I was looking at the Silverstone SX800-LTI power supply that Linus used in the "I Built an All AMD Mini PC!" video posted on 21Dec2020: https://youtu.be/R4jTCGkuXyg Should this be enough power even though it is 50 watts below recommended? I also saw Silverstone released a 1000 watt SFX-L power supply, SX1000 Platinum, but according to their reps on the company's website the restock probably will not happen until mid-late January. I also see Cooler Master has an 850 SFX power supply but I do not see any in stock or see any positive reviews about it. If anyone actually has positive reviews of the Cooler Master power supply then please chime in. To recap, my question is do I really need an 850 watt power supply for my system? Should I be fine running with a Silverstone SX800-LTI? Should I wait for the Silverstone SX1000 Platinum? Is the Cooler Master 850 SFX good and should I consider it? For my planned build, the goal for my build is "small" with power and complete RGB. My planned build is as follows: Chassis - Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini (Black) - On preorder, will arrive sometime in mid-January CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT Motherboad - MSI B550M Mortar (microATX) GPU - Powercolor Red Devil Radeon 6800XT (unplanned) Memory - Trident Z Neo 32GB (2 x 16GB) AIO Cooler - NZXT Kraken Z73 Fans - Lian Li UNI Fan SL120 up to 10 (only can get my hands on a couple for now, will add the remaining later) Power Supply - ??????????????????????????

Hi guys I might need some help to explain this weird things on my new pair of GPUs. I just recently bought 2 2nd hand Power Color RX 580 4GB GDDR5 graphic cards for my family PCs. While both cards has been performing great without any issues, I noticed that one of the RX 580 has a significant higher FPS in benchmark (around 15% higher FPS in Furmark @122 fps compared to the other card @105 fps). When I checked the Radeon Adrenalin software, I noticed that the only difference between the two is in the memory clock where the higher performant card has 2000 MHz VRAM and the other card has 1750 MHz VRAM. From Power Color website, the stock VRAM clock should be at 1750 MHz. What leaves me confused is that I'm not running any overclocking software on the 2000 MHz VRAM RX 580 and I would like to know whether it is possible to change the default GPU VRAM clock within the RX 580 itself? Thank you for your response My higher performant RX 580 VRAM Clock The stock Power Color RX 580 VRAM Clock from its website

Hi all, I am thinking about buying a RX 5600 XT to replace my current GTX 1060. I stumbled upon this model from Powercolor: https://www.powercolor.com/product?id=1583481410#spe at a very low price (its not the prettiest). I just wanted to know whether or not its worth picking up, since its on sale for around 50 dollars less than any other RX 5600 XT. So basically it just wanted to know if you guys know some issues with it or if you have any experience with it. Hope you amazing people have the time to help me. - Jeppe

Hey guys. As someone saw my post i was switching my dead GPU to new GPU and i will be switching to same GPU and that is r9 270. I had MSI R9 270 and i bought used R9 270 Powercolor. Okay so the guy told me that he was using that card and that its working in his home . I didnt tested in his place but yeah. I saw him bring the card and he was really gentle and he packed everything cool and the card really looks in awesome condition with even crossfire protection on her (screws intact too). So i plug her in my PC and it gives no screen, black screen. He is sleeping now but i remembered that he sad to me that he was using HDMI cable only not DVI-D to VGA adapter like me, so maybe thats the case my card wont boot and it gives black screen? To add my ex card which is dying still shows screen (but with artifacts since she is dying and driver wont work) with same DVI-D to VGA adapter , but this card wont work. I dont think guy is scam because he told me call me if something is not right and i will gave you back money and similar. Even on box that he gave me with the card i can see his adress where he lives and his name and even phone number because he bought new card and box was XFX RX580 4GB. So my guess maybe DVI port dont work on card , faulty? Maybe i should try HDMI to VGA adapter what you guys think could be the problem?

hi, my red dragon powercolor rx 570 4gb doesn't display like the card self but like the ingrafics from my cpu (i5-3550). in cpu-z and msi afterburner it's named: microsoft basic display adapter. it looks like my card functions as an adapter of my cpu-ingrafics. first the card didn't display at all but now after giving my mobo a bios update it displays but as microsoft basic display adapter. does anyone now how to fix this? -PC- i5-3550 intel stock cooler msi z77a-g41 red dragon powercolor rx570 5gb coolermaster 500watt psu 1tb hhd 16gb ram (2x8)

Section 1: Just for context. Not important. You may skip to section 2. I am a casual gamer. 4 months ago I decided to build my first PC. Joined this forum, devoured every video on Linus, Bitwit, Jayz2cents & Indian gamer. Post research of 3 months, put together my pc 1 month ago. Specs are as follows: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 - Rs 15500 Cooler: Cooler Master 240mm MB12 Liquid Cooler MoBo: X570 TUF Gaming Plus Wifi Graphics: PowerColor Red Dragon 5700XT - Rs 34900 Ram: G Skill Trident Z Neo 3600Mhz - Rs 10600 SSD: Silicon Power M.2 Nvme 512 GB - Rs 5500 PSU: RM850(2019) Case: Cooler Master H500 The pc posted in the first go. Windows upload was smooth. No driver issue. It worked perfectly. Section 2: Important I started with playing CS Go and Battlefield 1. CS Go worked like a charm, 290FPS at top settings. Battlefield 1: Worked well. 150FPS at Ultra Settings. But often crashed with the following error: " directx function "DX11 Renderer::tryMap" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically reomved from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. ").GPU:"AMD Radeon RX 5700XT", Driver:19.12.2. This error is usually casued by the graphics driver crashing; try intsalling the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported grpahics card with at least 2GB. " After a month, I decided to move from Battlefield 1 to Battlefield 5. The driver of the card(5700xt) was up to date. This where the issue started. The game was super stuttery on the first start. Clicks were getting registered with a 1 min delay. Somehow reached video settings, and changed display settings from 60hertz to 144hertz. Instantly, everything was smooth. Played the game for half an hr and then suddenly screen went dark, no Display. Display port was not detecting. After doing all the checks, found out the the graphics card is dead. The service center confirmed. Card will now be replaced in 30-45 days. rented a 1050ti for the time being. Computer is working again with no problem. Yet to start a game. Questions: As a first time builder, i might sound paranoid, but really wanna know what happened here: Q1: Where can the issue be? Is it just bad card? Or could have i done something software or assembly wise that could have killed the card? Note: the card never went over 80 degrees (94 degree junction) anytime. The reason that I am worried about this is that I assumed that Graphics Card are a durable part of a PC. They dont die on miners. Thats probably why they are confident to give 3 years warranty. What happened here. Q2: For the time being, will CS Go and Battlefiled 5 run on 1050ti?

I was playing battlefield 5 and my screen went blank. The issue is not with the display as i connected the pc to another screen and didnt work. Both display port and hdmi give no display. Opened the case, and the graphics card fans dont run on booting. They used to before. The last thing i can check if the power supply cable to gpu not working. Everything else seems to be working. Is it safe to assume that the issue is with the graphics card? Is anything else i should check. powercolor red dragon 5700xt on x570 motherboard with r5 3600, 16 gb ram.
