I have a room carved out for my free-lance photography so I can control my lighting there and don't have to do anything other then crop the photos. I want to start learning how to edit raw photos. Since I am just starting out I would like to know if there are any free programs that I could mess with. I know lightroom exists, is basically the industry standard, and costs $150. I just don't have that much extra money to buy something that I will only use twice. Thank you for your time.

Looks like someone got their hands on a honest to god LG G4, not some preproduction prototype or retail store dummy. Before I only had leaks and renders (I have included them below) but this seems like the proper phone. The leak train stops for no phone these days. The Z4 is up next and revealed in full, not too shabby at all with a decent set of specs to go along with it all. What I find curious is the SD 810 and not the 820, but I guess the inclusion of the 820 would depend on when they decide to release this device. Hi guys, My iPhone ran out of space tuday and a lot of it is from the pictures. If I delete the pictures from my phone, will they remain on iCloud? I know that after 30 days photo strem will delete them but photostream isn't icloud is it?

Hello everyone so after watching LG's presentation i got "delighted" with the upcoming G4 and im most certainly interested in it! I currently own a note 4 which ive liked thus far and has a sentimental value to me since it was my first "android experience". The LG presents a much better camera and screen quality with a practically stock android and all the good things present in the mobile market like leather back, removable battery and storage, etc. Now i dont want to make a big mistake by changing from my actual smartphone but on the other hand if i take a lot of photos and need a lot of battery life (performance for me is only clash of clans and royal revolt 2 lolz) what would you do? Im just not secure enough yet since ive only had the note for 5 months with me. Thanks in advance.

As it stands, Google could be providing the greatest batch of cloud services around. Keyword "could". I've been a power user of Drive and it's related services since Google Docs first hit the mainstream. I always loved the constant updates the services saw, and the ease of uploading a variety of different formats. Recently, however, there has been a lot of crap going on. Google Play Music for example. 50,000 songs I can upload for free? Awesome. Too bad the click and drag way of uploading almost always produces duplicates in the library, and often misses files. Too bad i can't add at last a viewable version of my music library to my Drive, which I would like to use as similarly to Windows Explorer as possible. Google Photos recently got an overhaul. Okay, cool. Interesting- the web design doesn't resemble any of the other google services. Similar to how Drive looks a bit different than gmail, and a lot different than Google music. Alright, free uploads under 16 megapixels? Awesome, the perfect way to store all of the photos I take with my phone! Too bad the upload system is incredibly wonky and filled with bugs, and the functionality that allows google photos to be viewed in Drive only works about half the time and seemingly forgets that I have arranged them into albums. What's more, I was perfectly content uploading photos straight into Drive and viewing/downloading them for editing as necessary. Too bad the free <16MP storage only applies to "Google Photos." Sometimes, even Docs that I've deleted won't stop showing up in Drive for months. What is going on, Google? Get it together. Get one team on it. Keep the web design consistent and fluid as well as functional. Make a Google Drive that has Docs, Photos, Videos, and Music within one big view and allows the user to fully invest in the cloud. Not some weird, buggy bullshit. /endrant

So I have a Lumia 925 which has no memory card slot so everything is stored on the phone memory. My whatsapp automatically saves every pictures received in any conversation thread. I have bunch of photos in my family's conversation thread and I would like to backup everything to my mac. The problem is I'm not seeing the phone as removable drive whenever I connect it to my mac. Before this I had no problem with my previous Lumia 620 (it had memory card slot) I was able to view it as removable drive.I've also set my phone to automatically sync my phone camera roll to OneDrive but unfortunately I can't for the whatsapp folder because of the app limitation I think. Anyone know any solution/how to fix this? -
Hi! Today I decided to check some old USB's with old photos on them. I discovered that a lot of photos on one USB were like this (photo of my sons LEGO, on my PC is the gray part red?)Are there programs to repair those photos? The only weird thing is that after I delete the thumbnails, the tumbnails are normal for a couple of seconds but then they become like the LEGO picture (The hole photo gets one color). I also plugged the USB in my old PC with windows XP (using windows 8.1 ATM) and there the thumbnails stay like normal, but I'm unable to open the photos. I hope someone can help me! I already tried photorec, but that didn't help

I have an iPod 160GB Classic which does not turn on any more and I need to salvage the photos from it, is there any way to save the documents from it? I have tried to restore it (Menu + Select) and charge it but it still does not work. Please Help

Hi all, I've recently got my hands on an HTC One M8, making the switch to an Android phone from my iPhone 4S. I've got basically everything working as I want except photo syncing. I have a MacBook Pro which, for now at least, I use for all of my media storage because then I have access to all my media on the go as well as at home (otherwise I'd use my desktop, but that's a story for another time). As such I use iPhoto, a program I really like and would really like to keep using, however it doesn't play nice with anything non-apple or 'basic camera'. I didn't really expect there to be any "auto syncing" feature but I also thought this issue would be a lot easier to sort out than it has been. What I'd like to do is to be able to keep using iPhoto, but be able to sync selected albums either directly with 128GB SD card in my phone over a local network. If that isn't an option (which appears to be the case), then I'd like to be able to sync with Google Drive - again, selectively. Selectively because my iPhoto library is close to 200GB (lots of GoPro footage there) and whilst it's all backed up on hard storage I don't want to upload it to the internet - mainly because that would be my household's monthly plan all gone in one hit! (Australia FTW) Of course that also won't fit on the SD card either. I suspect that I can compress the images and videos in my library but I'd like to avoid that because I just don't want all of the clutter on my phone anyway. I know one option I do have is to copy the photos I do want to Google drive and transfer them manually through that. That's easier said than done, because I'm pretty close to my 500GB SSD's capacity and whilst I'm planning to do some major spring cleaning and filing of all that in my upcoming long summer holidays (between Year 12 and Uni) I'd prefer to have a solution that doesn't duplicate my photos on storage anyway... I'd also prefer not to have to spend money, or at least not very much. I've seen some $40+ solutions but I've also heard people say that they don't really make things as easy as they sound like they will. So, to summarise, I'm looking for a solution that will allow me to selectively sync photos on iPhoto with my HTC One M8, preferably over a local network but Google Drive is an option too. If that isn't really possible, then I'm open to suggestions of some sort of cross-platform photo management software (cross platform as in Windows, Mac, Android and maybe iOS if possible) with features similar to iPhoto that can all sync together, again preferably over a local network rather than using up all my metered internet... Italian blog Macityne.it originally brought us what it claims is an actual official mockup of Apple’s next-generation smartphone. The site claims that the unbelievably thin, light and rounded edged device mockup had been provided to accessory manufacturers to allow them to create official products as part of Apple’s MFi program. The majority of the credible rumors that we’ve heard to date seem to suggest that the device mockup is a likely representation of what we can expect from the iPhone 6. There isn't any bezel on the side. Notice the difference of shades on the left side bottom I like this design. It certainly still looks like an iPhone. Leave your thoughts down below

Both cards were overclocked, without changing the voltage. So yeah... Games were set at optimal settings. Same walkthroughs were used aswell as settings. Apple has responded to this week’s hackings of celebrity iCloud accounts, which resulted in postings of private photographs. Here’s Apple’s statement in full: I don't blame apple or any other company for that matter. Celebrities knows that there are hackers constantly trying to get sensitive information out of them and taking nudes on a phone that is being backed up by some other computer (which are enabled by themselves), they must be stupid is all I can say. All of this could be avoided if they had some common sense to use a strong password especially when they're constantly targeted by many people. I hope this would be a lesson to everyone, however the damage is already done for that matter. Update 2: Apple CEO Tim Cook has finally taken the iCloud leaked photos situation into his own hands. Cook today sat down with The Wall Street Journal for an interview regarding the breach, and the Apple executive shared details on key security improvements coming soon to iCloud. Cook first addressed what happened: He then described which improvements are coming: “Mr. Cook said Apple will alert users via email and push notifications when someone tries to change an account password, restore iCloud data to a new device, or when a device logs into an account for the first time.” “Apple said it plans to start sending the notifications in two weeks. It said the new system will allow users to take action immediately, including changing the password to retake control of the account, or alerting Apple’s security team.” “As part of the next version of its iOS mobile-operating system, due out later this month, [two-factor authentication] will also cover access to iCloud accounts from a mobile device. Apple said a majority of users don’t use two-factor authentication, so it plans to more aggressively encourage people to turn it on in the new version of iOS.” Cook’s interview and announcement of new security features is a stark contrast from the Apple statement earlier this week that effectively just denies any responsibility and pushes blame onto a “common” occurrence on the internet. As a major company, Apple has the responsibility to take care of its customers (even celebrities) and innovate in the security space. Even with his big event coming up next week, Cook has realized this and has begun executing an actual roadmap of improvements. This is the kind of dedication that lacks in all other companies is one of the strong points of Apple.
