I'm looking to upgrade from a Google Pixel 2 XL and am wondering what all the options are. The top of my list right now are either a OnePlus 6T Mclaren Edition because I love orange and vroom vroom. My other thought would be to go bleeding edge and pre-order a Samsung S10 Plus. My budget is around £1,000 but obvioulsy if I can save a bit of money that's always good. I'm completely out of the loop about Huawei or Xiaomi or whatever else is out there. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks!

So just recently I broke my Galaxy s8+'s display after two full years of no scratches, and it was in its case too! So yeah the screen is completely spiderwebbed and its bugging me to the point where I feel as though I need a new phone. However my predicament is that my phone is on a 30 month plan (its been 24 months already) so there is still a payout of about $250 if I want to upgrade. So this initial fee limits my options quite a bit because originally I just wanted to finance a Galaxy s10 for 24 or 30 months. But then I saw the massive price of $1000 USD, and as a college student I really don't have the financial leeway to actually buy a galaxy s10 ontop of the $250 upgrade fee. So my options are limited. I was looking at OnePlus 6T, fantastic phone, for only about $579, or I could buy an unlocked Google Pixel 3 XL (Certified Refurbished) off amazon for about $659. I am already leaning towards to the 6T because of its great software and flagship grade features, and I have heard problems about the Pixel 3's software, but I am also sure that most of them are resolved by now anyway. So basically, should I get the Pixel 3 XL with its great camera's and also the fact that everything from Google Drive, Google Photos, Docs, Sheets, (I use all of these frequently) and all that jazz work beautifully with it, or get the 6T for about $100 less. Anyone who has had either phone, feel free to pitch in your 2 cents.

Been debating this for a while because I believe I can sell my S9+ for enough to buy a new OnePlus 6T 128GB + 8GB ram so I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were. Any input is appreciated

I have a iPhone 6S 16GB (purchased in mid 2015). The battery is so bad I have to charge it 2.5 times a day and according to Screentime averages, I only use it for 1H 17M a day. I mostly use my phone for actual communication (phone calls, texting) as well as some social media and web browsing. I've never owned a smartphone that wasn't an iPhone so I'm apprehensive about switching, If I stay iPhone I'm going to get the 10R and if I go android I'm going to get the OnePlus 6T. Here are the things I like about iPhone: -It's straight forward and easy to use -The ecosystem (I know, but seriously) -It, unlike the games Todd Howard makes, just works. -Airdrop -iMessage, it's great and the quality of videos sent is way better than android from the few examples I've seen -Basically everyone I communicate with other the phone, has an iPhone Things I don't like: -Lack of customization -Planned obsolescence (yes there is some controversy around if this is even that big of a deal) -The price All in all, I really like my iPhone and how it integrates with other devices in my world, but I'm just really curious about what life is like on the other side, so do your best and convince to join. ?

I need a phone to game on and I was looking at the S8 but I can't. My current choices are the Razer phone 2 and the OnePlus 6T. I have been leaning to the 6T but I really am a fan of Razer. So if you can give me advice, That would be great.

Anyone have any recommendations for a case/screen protector for a 6t? I was going to get a Prism and and Grip but it doesn't ship until April and I'm not about to wait that long. The only reason I ask is because I've had experiences in the past where some cases look like you can fit a tempered glass protector on it but then it ends up slightly lifting it up.

Hey Guys wanted to check if anyone is using a t9 keyboard on android (except sony phones as they have it by default). Check "Touch pal" and Turned out to be a spyware.

Hello! I just made an account in hopes that someone here could figure out the problem I'm having. So I recently replaced the screen on my OnePlus 2, and after putting it back together, the digitizer started only working in a strange way. to make an input happen, you have to press the screen for roughly 1.5 seconds. After you've held the screen down for this arbitrary amount of time, the phone will accept your input like normal, until you let go of the screen. once you let go, the same process repeats and you have to hold the screen down to make the phone accept another input. The time that it takes to accept an input remains the same until you press the lock button and the screen turns off. Once you unlock the phone again, the same problem persists. However, sometimes (seemingly at random) the screen will work completely normally. It will continue to work normally until you lock the phone again(and the screen turns off), then the same process repeats. Also, sometimes the time it takes to make the phone accept an input (by holding down on the screen) will be more like 4-5 seconds, and it can be anywhere in between. But once the screen is on, that time stays consistent. As one would normally think at first, I thought that I got a bad screen. So I went ahead and bought another one, from a different seller. Today, I installed that screen, and the EXACT SAME PROBLEM happened. This leads me to believe that it is not a problem with the screen, but rather something else inside the phone. Some other things that might be important, I have opened and disassembled this phone several times before. This is not the first screen replacement this phone has had, I've probably replaced this screen 5 times at this point. Also, there is 1 thing I missed during the screen replacement that started the issue. There's a little sticky black non-conductive thing that covers the battery terminal and one other terminal. I lost that little sticker thing, and replaced it with a piece of tape. There's also a gold colored piece (looks like gold foil) that bridges between 2 connectors. That gold colored piece has been taken off and reapplied so many times that it is very loose. I think that's all the information I have. I can record a video of the problem happening if that would work better than my explanation. I would really appreciate any insight as I'm totally lost as to the cause of this issue. I really want to hold on to this phone for as long as possible too! Thanks so much for your help in advance! -Ryan

I came across OnePlus 8 series listings while browsing in the OnePlus 7T Pro sub-category on Opportmart.com Take all these details with a grain of salt but since it was listed on Oppomart with Oppo being basically OnePlus's parent company (underneath BBK) these info should be fairly accurate. I have the OnePlus 7Pro 5g on a Sprint plan in the US. A week ago I noticed my phone having issues using mobile data. Speedtest.net readings always fell between .01-.2 and sometimes up to 5mbps if I am lucky. Sprint did a speed test for me from their end and it read about 5 as well. No matter the settings adjusted or the phone being reset, nothing seemed to fix the connection issues. Employees both at the repair center and the store clerks couldn't fix the problem. I had the phone replaced with another model assuming the issue was with the network antenna inside the phone. However, the new phone is showing the same exact readings. It's still having mobile data issues. Note: The phone shows full bars LTE and even 5G when in the city. Any thoughts? Thanks

Problem: Me and a co-worker share a space in a clinic and to avoid booking over each other we decided to use a shared google email and sync calendars so we can know when someone has booked a client. It is convenient because I can see both work events and personal ones in the same calendar. However since 2 weeks ago my calendar says "Sync Error" whenever I try to refresh it and I can't see my coworker`s bookings(actually I can see only some, but not all of them, wtf?). But every event I created, she can see all of them. I`m really not sure wheter the problem is on my end or on hers. I remember that at first she had a problem on her end with the calendar and couldn`t see my events but whatever she did, solved it. Now I am the one who cannot see some of hers(Why only some and not all of them?) My device: OnePlus 6T Her device: Iphone X Not sure what else is relevant, I`ll be more than willing to share other important information if necessary. Thank you in advance.

Anyone with a oneplus device on Verizon . Do you have any limitations of use or problems? The other concern I have as a current iPhone user is support. Currently if I have a problem I go to the Apple store wait in an 8 hour line but typically walk out with a replacement . How’s the customer service for US oneplus customers?

I've Been Wanting to Change My Phone For A While Now, Was Looking At The S10+ But Didn't Really Like The Pill Hole On The Screen The OnePlus Has A 90Hz Screen But The S11 Should Have That And The OnePlus Doesn't Have Wireless Charging Which I Use Quite A Bit But I Could Just Plug It In Was Wondering If I Should Just Buy The OnePlus 7T Pro Or wait For The S11 How Is The Camera Of The OnePlus Compared To Samsung? Do You Think The S11 Will Have a All-Screen Display Or Have a Cutout Again?

The flagship iPhone vs The real Limited Edition Flagship OnePlus *For all you apple fans out there, and for all you android fans out there, i promise, even do i prefer android, this will be a honest comparison. So how is it going to work? There will be a couple of rounds: Performance Camera Display Price Security For each round, 5 Points will be given all together. The winner is the phone with the most points. Round 1 | Performance As we know, the OnePlus 7T Pro (Bla bla...) comes with a Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, while the iPhone 11 comes with a new A13 Bionic Chip. Other then that, the OnePlus comes with 12 GB of RAM, while the iPhone comes with only 4. But, when it comes to bare performance, the iPhone is faster in loading apps, and the same results in how much apps it keeps in the background. When it comes to benchmarks, again, the iPhone wins, here are the results: GeekBench 5 (CPU) | OnePlus - 761 Single Core, 2818 Multi Core. iPhone - 1334 Single Core, 3581 Multi Core. GeekBench 5 Compute (GPU) | OnePlus - 2690. iPhone - 6391 GFX Bench - Off Screen (FPS) | OnePlus - 112FPS. iPhone - 116FPS JavaScript - Sunspider | OnePlus - 338.1ms. iPhone - 105.4ms (The Lower The Better) (Tested in Safari on iPhone, Chrome on OnePlus (Native Browser) ) 5 Points to iPhone | 0 Points to OnePlus Round 2 | Camera Here are the camera specs: iPhone - Rear Telephoto | 12MP - Rear Main / Wide | 12MP - Rear Ultrawide | 12MP - Front | 12MP OnePlus - Rear Main / Wide | 48MP - Rear Ultrawide | 16MP - Rear Telephoto | 8MP - Front (Motorized Pop-Up) | 16MP The specs show that the OnePlus should have a better camera, but is that true? In short: Partly yes, partly no. In long: The iPhone has better photo processing and a better dynamic range, while the OnePlus has more sharpness & has a better night mode. 1 Point to iPhone | 4 Points to OnePlus Round 3 | Display The display specs are for the OnePlus, as shown here: OnePlus Giant 6.64 Inch display. Optical AMOLED. 1440x3120 Pixels. 558 ppi. 90Hz. iPhone Big 6.5 Inch display. OLED (Finally, apple...) 1242x2688 Pixels. 458 ppi. 60Hz. And also, you can feel the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren has a smoother display with 90Hz, although the iPhone 11 Pro Max actually competes pretty well. 1 Point to iPhone | 4 Points to OnePlus Round 4 | Price Did i already mention the ridiculous price tag of the iPhone 11 Pro Max at $1099 for 64GB, wich can get up to $1999 for 512GB? Thats $2000 out of your wallet! The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition isnt so cheap either, sadly, $831 for 256GB, even do thats less then half the price of a 512GB iPhone 11 Pro Max, and is cheaper then a 64GB iPhone 11 Pro Max. I guess this round again is a win for OnePlus. 1 Point to iPhone | 4 Points to OnePlus Round 5 | Security In security, the iPhone actually can be a winner. Apple wont stop bragging about Face ID, and i agree with them, its flippin good, and is ultra fast, but really, why ditch the Fingerprint Scanner? Make the apple logo the Fingerprint scanner and im sure your sales are gonna up. In the side of OnePlus, they also have Face Recognition, but not as superior as Face ID, but they have the super-ultra-fast Under-The-Display fingerprint scanner, wich is faster then Face ID. 2.5 Points to iPhone | 2.5 Points to OnePlus THE BIG CONCLUSION! OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition | 14.5 Points iPhone 11 Pro Max | 10.5 Points The overall winner would be OnePlus if you want the most out of your smartphone. If you want to brag about you and your friends ain't some tech guys your better off with the iPhone.

I'm on Verizon, in the US (no sub carrier or anything), and I need to upgrade from my Moto Z Play 1. OnePlus 7 Pro looks like the best option, but I cannot find where to buy one. All the options I see on Amazon are GSM, international only, etc. I see conflicting information online about whether the phone will or will not work on Verizon, and came across several articles stating that there are significant calling issues when registering with Verizon. Can anyone advise on where to buy this phone in a way that I won't have compatibility issues? Thank you in advance EDIT: Thank you all for the advice; couldn't find a reasonable option that I was sure of, so I went ahead and just ordered a Pixel 3A (my other choice). waiting wasn't really an option, and switching carriers wasn't an option either. Maybe when OnePlus launches the 8 (no notch PLEEEEEAAASE) then I'll sell the Pixel and grab that.

I am looking so swap from an iphone 5S to an android phone, I don't really know much about phones but I think I have narrowed my choices down to a oneplus 5T or 6 if I can find one cheap or a samsung galaxy S8. I am looking for a decent camera and have a budget of around £350. Thank you. edit: I am also looking for a phone that can suport android pay and has alot of space or can add storage to.

I'm trying to fix a Oneplus X as it has been having storage problems, they don't support SD card as internal storage, and it's only got about 12GB of internal, which is annoying. (This is a secondary issue) I want to factory reset the phone, but I need to retain SMS and phone call logs if possible. I know that there is a app for backing up these, But, the main issue is, I can no longer install any apps to the phone as the Google Play store app has gone rogue. It's not in the app drawer or the apps list in settings. FYI: Android 6.0.1 9.94GB used of 11.54GB And, it's also getting this error everywhere (See attached)

Thanks for reading, So me and my friend just figured out this bug and are trying to spread the word. People's security is in danger because of this software/ hardware flaw (This is how we believe it works) If you quickly swipe the fingerprint sensor while opening the camera on the lockscreen you can trip the sensor by thinking its reading a registerd fingerprint because of the illumination for the optical sensor. This causes you to be able to bypass it and get into the phone. https://youtu.be/sxz3FXNobhw

I have the rhinoshield crashguard for the oneplus 6 and I was thinking of getting a dbrand skin for it; as I have begun to notice some scratches of the back of my phone. I'm not sure if the skin would fit on the phone with my case and so require some input from somebody else who has perhaps tried this combination. Thanks for any advice in advance!

With 5G seemingly over the horizon, people are onviously wanting carriers and cell phone makers to get on board with the new technology in order to push mobile data speeds further into the future......but who is going to pay for it? You of course That’s $200 to $300 more than what flagships cost this year — anywhere from $800ish for a OnePlus-type and up to $1,300 for mainstream brands like Samsung. Even with costs amoritized through monthly payment plans, we may see phones cost nearly as much as the wireless service that customers subscribe to. This could extend the life of LTE-only phones on retail shelves. Imagine adding $300 to the cost of your favorite flagship just to have 5G Data on it for streaming Apple Music or Google Play Music or for watching a video in 480p because your carrier throttles you...... Not only will 5G be expensive to roll out for the next couple of years, until then there is going to be heavy switching of bands and poor roaming coverage because 5G deployment is so quadmired Leading to manufacturers of modems to have to be able to accommodate all of these bands, further increasing costs monetarily and to the phones performance when equiped with 5G The CEO further added So if you want 5G soon, be prepared for a poor and expensive experience for the next couple of years. Certain major playeds in thr mobile space, specifically Apple, have opted to wait until at least 2020 so they can “figure out what the hell is going on” before committing to an unproven technology. LTE is still more than enough for the vast majority of consumers imo. You don’t even need the theoretical max down speeds of LTE to have a good cellular experience and I think many carriers and phone OEMs will be happy to sit 5G out for a least a little while.
