Hi, I am planning to buy a new phone to Replace my almost 4 year old Nokia 6.1 plus. My budget is around $300 and There are so many conflicting choices and I can't decide. Here are some things I want and don't want 1. Must not have a mediatek or Unisoc processor at any cost. 2. Have a large screen preferably amoled (refresh rate doesn't matter). 3. If it runs on a custom UI like Miui it should have good custom rom and gcam support 5. atleast have semi decent build quality and should be able to survive a few drops.

I just got a new OnePlus 10t phone a few days ago. I downloaded a battery / hardware monitoring app to get some more info about my device. According to the battery tab the currently battery capacity of my phone is 4266mA while the design capacity is 4800. Is it really possible that the battery has degraded 12% in just a few days?

So which one worth the buy? Don't really do much photography whit phone and no gaming. Best one for everyday use. Both are same price point in my country, around 850 euros for 128gb models. Currently using MI 11 ultra 256gb, loved the miui, but latest 14, is trash, promised a lot of changes, got nothing as usual Have had oneplus 8t in past, liked the oxygenOS back then, are there a lot of changes? Tnx for help

Does the screen recorder app on OxygenOs allow for annotations during recording? i.e does it have a brush?

Hello, I need to know if buying OnePlus 8 Pro now is a good idea as there are many reports of green tint and black rush issues with the display. Should I go ahead for the purchase or wait for Oct. I also considered Samsung Galaxy S20 but the long term software support is better for OnePlus devices as far as I know. Thanks in advance for the help.

Guys I need your 2 cents. So my Lenovo S90 got ran over by a motorcycle (RIP 2017). Obviously I have to buy a new phone ahaha. I am now contemplating between the 2: Huawei P9 3GB - I can get this for 180$ by just extending the contract of my postpaid plan for another 2 years (with or without the phone, I'd still be using the plan anyways) ooor OnePlus 3T - 470$ I have the money for the OnePlus 3T, but I'm not sure if it's worth 290$ markup (at least for my case)

I want it from somewhere reputable, not from eBay or some sketchy website. Getting the 64gb version

I have a Oneplus 3 and it is still running OOS 3.2.8 (based on Android 6.0.1) rather than OOS 4.0.1 (based on Android 7.0.1). I am in the UK and, yes, I have checked for updates. Is it not out in the UK or have I got some kind of problem? I am aware that I could sideload it but I'd rather not bother. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello fellow geeks so a couple months ago i dropped my op3 and the screen broke, everything worked fine though and i was planning on fixing the screen myself. However, last week suddenly my screen started to show green and pink colors all over it, and the bottom half of the touchscreen stopped working. the colors spread and the screen became darker and darker. a few days later the screen was completely black, but i can still feel the top part responding to touch input by vibrating (triggered by pressing the numbers on the sim PIN padlock presented after booting the phone). What i'd like to know from you guys is; what exactly is broken in my op3? I guess the LCD (seen as it's probably leaked liquid that fried the whole thing). And also, what parts should i order (through something like aliexpress)? Now, i wanna fix this myself, i have an ifixit toolkit lying around that i can finally put to use. I'm fairly handy at this stuff, so i'm confident i can revive the phone, if i have the right parts of course. Any advice is greatly appreciated Thanks in advance everyone Have a good one Joni

Hey guys! I am totally confused between the zus and the OnePlus car charger as the OnePlus one seems to be faster as it outputs 3.5 amps and the zus outputs only 2.4 amps per USB port. I know that zus is much more smarter but in speed wise will there be any noticible difference? And some people say that the zus doesn't charge USB C devices faster as the normal micro USB ones. BTW I have an OnePlus 3T. So what should be the better decision?

So I have a OnePlus 2 with T-Mobile. I'm currently in Canada. T-Mobile lets you have unlimited data in most other countries, albeit at 2G speeds. Canada is one of them. Cellular data has been working fine for me. I've had roaming on in order to use Cellular, and it connects me to Bell, through which I get Cellular. It's been working all fine and dandy, until today. I updated my phone to OxygenOS 3.5.8 yesterday night. This morning I noticed that I wasn't getting any Cellular anymore. Texting and calling was still fine, but Cellular wasn't. Now before you say, "You updated yesterday not today." If it stopped working yesterday I wouldn't have known since I was on wifi until today. Since that was the main change that happened between then, I suspect the update is what did it. Things I've tried: Rebooting and shutting down then turning my phone on. Resetting the APN settings. Manually entering APN settings that I've found on the internet that are for T-Mobile. Selecting different network operators like Telus or Roger instead. Switching to 2G only or 2G/3G. Turning mobile data off and on again. Turning data roaming off and then on again. Taking the SIM card out and then putting it back in. None of it worked. I also noticed that in my SIM status it says under Service State: Voice: In Service / Data: In Service. It also says under Cellular network type 4G. However, under Cellular network state it says Disconnected. Also, I can't just downgrade back to OxygenOS 3.5.6, partly because I really don't want to since that would require backups and flashing, and partly because I can't yet since I didn't bring a laptop with me to Canada so it's impossible. Do any of you have any idea?

My question in short: do usb-c dongles work with smartphones, like OnePlus 3? So my goal would be to use a dongle to backup photos and videos from an sd-card to a separate usb hdd. Would I be able to do this with my OnePlus 3? Do I need some OTG thingys? And if it would work, would the speed be limited by my phone, or would the data be transferred directly from the card to the hdd? I am aware, that the dongle should be powered in, and navigating with smartphone wouldn't be optimal, but this would allow me not to buy a laptop. I know that some tablets, like Samsung Galaxy TabPro S, do support dongles. And with old micro-usbs it was possible to use usb hubs.

So I got my brand new OnePlus 3T yesterday and in my surprise it does not have Android Nougat installed. It runs on 6.0.1. From what I can tell it's a November phone so it makes sense, but when I try to search for updates it says there aren't any. What is going on, anyone knows? Shouldn't it automatically update to Nougat? Does it have to do with where I live?

Hello all, I am looking for suggestions for a new phone around the £400 price point, and I have narrowed it down to three choices: the Galaxy S7, OnePlus 3T or the LG G5. All of these are around £400 at the moment (including cashback and other deals). I'm really unsure, however, which of these I should choose - here's a list of the pros and cons of each (in my opinion) Galaxy S7 Pros Looks the best out of the three. Best camera Waterproof (nice to have as I have water damaged my previous phone) Expandable storage Great AMOLED display Cons Repairability not great (I know Samsung is very common, but it might be expensive to repair the battery/screen) TouchWiz OnePlus 3T Pros Second-best build quality Newest SOC (but Exynos is equal) Great build quality Cons OnePlus' support is awful, even in the UK Lack of updates (no Nougat on a brand new phone) No Quick Charge, just Dash Charge No expandable storage LG G5 Pros Most repairable and expandable of the three Wide angle camera USB-C with quick-charge Cons Build quality not the best Software easily the worst (but quick updates) I really can't decide which to get, so which would you pick, assuming all are the same price?

I'm thinking of getting a new phone and I have a really limited selection through my carriers monthly payment plans. It seems that the Oneplus 3 is the fastest phone I can potentially get.. Will it be enough in 2-3 years? I've had a Lumia 640 LTE for about a year now (cheap phone though) and Microsoft seems to have dropped almost all support on it (most notable in OneDrive services), and they generally don't seem to care about Windows Phone. So I certainly need an upgrade. (640 is barely usable as a basic phone sometimes but that's another topic). Before that I had a Nokia N900 for a long time and it got really slow compared to other phones being sold after it. Oh and since this is my first "proper" post here, don't bite, please.

There have been many rumors of OnePlus, the company that brings us the yearly "flagship killer", releasing a phone that comes right after the OnePlus 3 Well, the wait is over with OnePlus announcing that they will be showing the world its new phone on November 15 I'm personally excited for the phone though I speculate that the price will be much higher than what OnePlus usually offers given that it uses the Snapdragon 821 and if the current rumors circulating are right about its 8GB of RAM and 4,000 mAh battery (hopefully) Source: http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2016/11/10/13582578/oneplus-newphone-3t-launch-november-15

Considering a new phone to replace my dead Asus zenfone 2 (16GB model). Originally I was looking at a Nexus 6p, but I don't want to pay almost $600 for it. So I set my sights on something lower cost. I understand the differences on paper between the two are fairly small, still I prefer the 3 if I can. But is the Oneplus 3 $500+ everywhere? the MSRP is at $399, which I would pay, but I can't find anywhere that it is selling at that price... Suggestions?

Alright, so in the past week, my phone's battery life has just tanked. I have a Oneplus One running the latest update they have given me for Cyanogenmod on Marshmallow. My typical battery life in the morning when left at 100% the night before used to be about 92%. This was the case for most of the time I've had the phone (2 years or so). However in the past week, I get horrible battery life. Last night I had the phone at 100% at 10pm, then used it on Twitter for about 2 minutes with a total of just over 5 minutes of screen on time and now at 9 this morning it's at 77% battery life. That's a substantial change from 1 week ago. One thing I've noticed that is different in the past month or so is that about 2 and a half weeks ago, I downloaded Twitter for the first time. I probably use it 5-10 minutes a day at work and not at all on weekends. The other thing is that about a week ago (when the battery issues started) the Play Store was updating Apps and I got a notification for Google Assistant, which I hadn't used before. I set it up, but it doesn't seem to do much other than offer me weather information most of the time.Even though it's Android 6, I haven't seen a Doze feature anywhere in the settings, so I'm guessing that I don't have that installed (unless it's under a different name). I'm looking for some help, because the phone battery drains a lot faster, whether idle or not. I used to have 30-50% average batter life at the end of a typical day at work, now I'm either down to 10% or I've had to charge the phone throughout the day. My typical day includes music streaming over Bluetooth for most of the day as I drive a delivery truck, a little bit of Twitter during downtime, between 10 and 40 minutes of YouTube watched over WiFi, and a little bit of email and texting. I've looked at my battery life (screenshots included) and they don't come close to how much battery I've lost. I just confused on what has caused this drastic change. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

What happens if one accidentally or deliberately selects all the files and folder from any android phones root directory (Internal memory only) (not SD card) and deletes ? 1. Will it successfully be able to delete everything or will keep the critical files and delete user data only ? 2. If it does manage to delete all, will it result in a hard brick ? or can be recovered by flashing the recovery again ? 3. It it soft bricks, does one need to still flash the recovery or a simple hard reboot shoud bring all back ? ("all" System files only) I have a oneplus 2 stock 64gb, if we talk in reference to that,it can help me a little more. Thanks guys, CHEERS!

Dear all, Bored at work i thought of this, the dash charger that comes with the one plus 5, is advertised (and does) charge your oneplus 5 from 0% battery to 63% in half an hour. Dash Charging uses USB-C and... WOW I think to myself so does the new mac book pro 2017, what would happen if you dash charge your Mac Book Pro 2017? Can someone do this (please don't sue me, I can't afford a mac book pro, and/or I don't want to buy you a $20 charger, because i told you to do this) I couldn't find anyone who had. Just Curious

Im currently in a tough situation trying to choose my new phone... I currently have a OnePlus 2 and am deciding on moving on to either the Samsung Galaxy s8 or OnePlus 5. The last Samsung phone I had was the s3 and that was the phone I had before my OnePlus 2. So my major question is should I stick with OnePlus and get the 5 or reunite with Samsung and go for the s8?
