Specs: Asrock b450m pro4 Amd ryzen 5 3600 16gb corsair vengeance lpx ram 3600mhz FE 3060ti EVGA 750 GQ Two weeks ago my PC crashed (black screen) while browsing the web. After this, it entered a boot loop where it failed to post. The CPU and case fans weren't spinning, but the GPU and HDD were. I replaced all motherboard connectors, reseated motherboard in the case, tested each RAM stick individually in each slot, reseated CPU and fan, and reset CMOS. Resetting CMOS made the fans all spin up, but the PC still wouldn't boot. I have now RMA'd the motherboard, and was sent a new one (presumably because they tested and concluded my motherboard was faulty). After installing everything, the CPU fan and case fans still aren't spinning up, and the PC boot loops without posting. What could the issue be/next steps be for trouble shooting? UPDATE: CPU was dead, presumably the motherboard died and took the CPU with it, got a replacement through Amazon

Good day, I have a newly purchased Ryzen 5600x, a known working PSU (corsair 550w), cooler, new memory (16gb gskill) DDR4, SSD (samsung evo m.2), and a known working monitor, with known working HDMI. All installed in a Gigabyte B5500 DS3H which said "Ryzen 3rd gen supported" out of the box I installed a the processor, cooler, and other equipment properly. plugged power supply into wall, turned it on, and pressing the power button got me spinning fans but no display output of any sort. This was with and without a GPU. I then tried to update the BIOS using Q-flash, with nothing plugged in other than power, but I got no lights on the USB drive at all. Then, I plugged everything back in (mins the USB) and tried to boot, and now nothing works. No fans spinning, nothing. I'm out of ideas; did I brick my motherboard? UPDATE #1: Took PC to another room; re-configured my "bench". AMD Ryzen 5600x with cooler, 16gb DDR4 (gskill, 2 sticks), samsung evo m.2 500GB ssd. USB keyboard plugged into to USB port, case power button plugged in, Monitor plugged in to HDMI, and Corsair 550W PSU plugged into 20 pin and ATX 12volt. THEN plugged in USB 2.0 flash drive with BIOS to the white USB port, pressed the q-flash button, and now FINALLY i'm getting orange LED lights on both MB and USB drive. CPU fan is spinning. This is progress! UPDATE #2: After removing everything except ATX12v and 20pin power (PSU was unplugged during that time), I re-attempted to flash the bios with F13. This appeared to work. After the orange lights stopped blinking, I disconnected power, re-installed CPU + Cooler, Memory, and SSD. Removed USB. Booted machine. The power button on the case does work again, and the CPU cooler does spin. USB keyboard lights up, but no display out still UPDATE #3: Plugged in the GPU worked. I am in BIOS now!!!!

So i have recently bought a new pc case, and i took my pc parts and put it into it, but here is the catch, it’s not posting at all. It will turn on, fans will spin, motherboard led’s will turn on, cpu cooler will spin but, after around 10 seconds, it will shutoff and starts again, this wont stop until In hold the power off button for at least 5 seconds. Here are the parts and tests I have tried; I have tried replacing the ram, used multiple configurations and even a single ram at once. I have tried different PSU’s, same exact result. I have reseated the CPU, i have used another motherboard, on the second motherboard it will boot up for half a second before it turns off and loops again. I have tried with the GPU and without the GPU, same result. My power connections are definitely all the way plugged in so its not that. I have done CMOS. I have built it outside the case to make sure is not shorting and I’m getting the same result. Sidenote it may be important and i am just not realizing; my hdd, is making a single beep and cricket noises when the pc boots up, could It be because of a failing hard drive, keep in mind this is the hard drive i have windows installed on. If not my last guess is that the CPU has somehow fried itself, it has pads not pins btw. Here are my specs Asrock b250m performance I5- 7400 rx 580 500w Freezer 34 esport 16 gb vengeance ram. 1tb hdd I beg of you please please help me i am so lost now,

Recently, I just got my pc done and upon turning it on, it didn't boot into bios for the first time. So I updated the bios and it booted. Installed windows, updated and benchmarked. I was trying to ramp up my mem speeds thru DOCP, however, I just can't get a boot. So I managed to keep it at 3466Mhz with timings 18-20-20-20-40 1.35V. It did work... for 9 hours until it just hung and won't boot again. It's stuck at a post code error 7A. I have already reseated my ram and cpu just like in the forums. I also cleared my CMOS and reflash BIOS but still didn't work. Any suggestions? Specs: Ryzen 3700x X470 Asus ROG Crosshair VII WiFi 16x2 Corsair CMW32GX4M2Z3600C18 Memory

Troubleshooting Steps taken: All power connections removed and reinserted RAM reseated GPU reseated CPU reseated BIOS flash to latest version CMOS cleared I went out of state to assist my friend in assembling this system for the time but am now back home and am unable to supply parts as substitutes for testing. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I just insItalled my first aio water cooler and everything was fine it did initially boot up and post but the next time I turned it on my pc did not post and the debug cpu light was on. I have tried everything on the no post forum already created as well as only using one stick of ram and changing their positions, I also checked to see if the pins on the cpu were bent and i haven't found one yet. I do not really know what to do at this point especially because everything turns on when i power it up you can even hear the water start in the aio. As of right now I have no test bench to test my motherboard and no other computer to test the actual cpu. I'm upgrading from an fx 6300 to a ryzen 5 3400g, but my asrock fatality b450 gaming k4 won't post. I think it's incompatible bios. Does anyone know if microcenter (the place I got my mobo) will update the bios free or if AMD still does the free boot kit. And possibly hour long it takes to arrive?

Hi! While I do acknowledge that there is "no post on sundays" (thanks Uncle Vernon) I am nevertheless trying to make my new build post. SPECS: ASUS x570 f-gaming AMD Ryzen 7 3700X G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4 3600MHz 2x16GB Corsair RM 750X V2 Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML360R RGB Phanteks Enthoo 719 WD Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 1TB WD Blue 3D SATA SSD 1TB I am also transplanting a GTX 1070 from my old build. The PC will power up - all lights and fans spin and glow, but there is NO DISPLAY SIGNAL. ALSO the DRAM light is LIT AF. What I have tried so far: Reseating the RAM sticks in every configuration. The preferred seating is A2 and B2, but I have tried both A1 and B1 aswell as only running one stick in A1, A2, B1 and B2. No change in behaviour. Plugging in additional power to the CPU. At first I only had the 8pin connector connected, but I have now also connected the additional 4pin connector. No change in behaviour. Changing GPUs and PCIe slots. I have tried both a GTX 970 and a 1070 aswell as both the top and middle PCIe lanes. The GPUs both work fine in my old PC. No change in behaviour. Flashing a newer BIOS version. I have downloaded the latest (non beta) BIOS build from ASUS and flashed it using the FLASHBACK functionality on the motherboard. Flash seemed to be successfull. No change in behaviour. Different screens and different HDMI/DVI/DP ports. I have tried pretty much every port on the back (even the ones straight from the MB even though there is no iGPU so that shouldnt work anyway). No change in behaviour. Resetting the CMOS. I shorted the CLRTC pins for 5-10 seconds as per the manual. No change in behaviour. I am also pretty sure that the RAM is certified as compatible with the MB/CPU. The product ID for the RAM is: F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC. I am ripping my hair out and just straight up not having a great time. I loved building my previous PC in 2014, and this one is built to specially for CP2077 - I HOPE I can fix it in time! I am super thankfull for every reply here - even if it might not fix it, please contribute! I ending this post with a quote that I think describe my mood right now: "I think there must be something wrong with me, Linus. Christmas is coming, but I'm not happy. Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard Corsair RMi 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory I used qflash plus to update the bios to F32 (newest version) which seemed to work correctly, with the qflash plus light flashing, slow at first and then fast followed by an automatic shutdown. No CPU or GPU or ram installed for this step. Problem: I turn the power supply on, motherboard lights flash, hit the power button, CPU, motherboard and GPU fans spin but no video output/post no lights are on. Pressing the reset switch just causes the GPU fans to spin an max speed for a second and then it goes back to normal. Only way to shut down the system is to turn off the power supply. If I don't shut it down all fans just keep spinning at a normal speed. GPU works fine on my other system, so does the ram and the different displays I tried (both hdmi and DP), rest of the things are brand new No bent pins on CPU Only the cables I need are connected to the power supply In addition to trying everything relevant (no debug led as far as I can see) in the README: How to respond to a no POST or no power up situation pinned post like: Clearing CMOS Reseating everything Only 1 stick of ram Different ram slots Checking cable connections Using monitors on another system Using ram on another system Using GPU on another system I also tried: Flashing the bios again Different ram Different GPU Seeing as the motherboard seems to work fine without the CPU I'm afraid it is the CPU that is broken. I have no reason to believe the PSU is faulty but I do have another one I could try. I have no am4 motherboard I could try nor another am4 CPU. No drive connected so no OS. I tried using qflash with another usb drive that I made on my laptop but that one didn't work for some reason.

I'm currently building a new pc with the following specs: Asus X390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI) Intel i9-9900K TeamGroup 4x8gb DDR4 2400mhz (32gb total) Corsair CX650M ASUS RTX 2060 The following components are tested working in an alternate pc: RTX 2060 Corsair CX650M TeamGroup ram I have tested the pc in the case and outside it, both with and without the gpu plugged in. Currently when the psu is on and plugged into the components, the motherboard rgb lights up as well as the onboard LED on the gpu. When turning the pc on with the button/ shorting the power_sw pins, nothing happens. There is no fan spin/beep/any heat from the components. I am unsure as what to do, though I do suspect the motherboard itself is non-functional. I have no motherboard/cpu to swap out, so I can't individually verify either. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Spec: AMD 2700x, ASUS tuf b450m plus gaming, ASUS tuf 1650 super, Corsair vengeance LPX 2400 MHz (will be replaced with something different) 650 watt 80 plus bronze rated SSD 512GB Issue: Everything was working fine when i brought it home. Everything worked, had old SSD with win 10 so used that and the old 2700x (7-8 month used). I used the pc for few hours with no issues. I updated the win10 , installed the drivers, tried some apps and games just to see if it was working properly or not. i shut it down with no issue. Next day the pc did not turn on. the fan ramped to full speed in GPU and CPU possibly PSU but no Post. Gave the system back they repaired and said changed RAM to corsair one, possibly faulty ram issue and the one I wanted will be available in few days. Returned it to store, they changed RAM (tried the gskill tridentz 3200mhz before current build seems it is not properly supported.) to current one. Said it worked and returned to me. ==>Worked normally for 3-4 days medium usages for gaming general browsing. then issue popped again, Fan runs at full speed and No Post What I tried. Then I Opened up the case, reseated everything tried again same issue. Removed the GPU then tried, CPU fan speed was back to normal (keyboard was connected but no lights) Inserted just the GPU power cable but not connected to PCIe slot, fan speed was normal. As soon as I insert GPU and try again the fan ramps up and no post still. Any solution to the problem? Any mistakes I might have made. Cant return system for few more days as holiday season so if there is a solution to the problem that I can use at home then do help. Or if you have any ideas on the possible problem do tell. UPDATE: TRIED CHANGING GPU AND MOBO, issue persists.

No Post But Motherboard Beeps to Say everything is fine
George1915 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hey I have had this computer for a while now. The specs are: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H Cpu: Intel I7 3770 8gb ddr3 ram. Up until now I was using the cpus integrated graphics but I saved up and bought a 1060. The system was working before but then I installed the gpu after that everything blew up in my face. Everything turned on the fans lit up the gpu fans spin and the Motherboard beeped once as normal to say everything was good. Yet I am not getting any output. I can't find anything online about this issue but have considered a post card. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? -

UPDATE 1: Day 3: Worked normally for 2-3 hours. One shutdown happened (Could be because the power plan was in "Power Saver Mode"). Getting some games downloaded (AC: Unity and Watch Dogs 2) 80ish GB just to test if any issue happens when mostly idle. 6-7 hr download + medium usages. ALSO: Adding to question: Could insufficient cooling be the issue? Current cooling fully depends on Stock cpu/gpu coolers. (upgrade planned for few weeks later due to budget and price hikes). Only played at high setting for some 4 year old games. no new AAA titles played. Issue repeated after 4 days of usage again. Worked withour issue for 4 days. Solution:: warranty replacement. Psu and mobo. Each worked seperately but not together. Most likely psu was a damaged one.

No POST after new Z390 Pro installed. Boot loops as well
disco2008 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hi all, first off I appreciate anyone taking the time to take a look at this. specs: Aorus Z390 Pro Wifi I7-6700k 2x 8gb Hyperx Fury DDR4 3TB HDD 250gb SSD (boot drive) Corsair H150i Pro RGB (360mm) RTX 2070 Super founders edition So, for Christmas I recently got a new Z390 as my old gigabyte mobo had some bad RAM slots. I should note that the ONLY change to my system was this motherboard swap. Now im Not getting POST and it’s stuck in a boot loop :(. Some more details: •upon first switching on my PSU, the lights on the motherboard flicker on quickly before immediately turning back off. Not sure if this is important but it seems really odd to Me and maybe an indicator for anyone who might know what’s wrong? •Every fan speeds up, including water cooler (I can hear pump as well) before the next boot loop begins. •On this motherboard, there are a few LED indicators in one of the corners, labeled VGA, CPU, BOOT, and DRAM. The DRAM light is the first that turns on when I press the power button, and remains on for 5-10 seconds before turning off. When it turns off, the VGA light immediately turns on and about half a second later the PC powers down, starting the next loop. •The GPU is installed in the 16x PCIE slot. I could move it to the 8x for testing but I’m worried what that will imply if it works. So far I’ve: •Double checked wiring connections •Tried to boot with single RAM stick (in slot one) •Made sure RAM sticks were in the appropriate slots for dual channel •Removed battery for 60 seconds and placed back in once again I appreciate any and all help!- 2 replies

Hello everyone, As the title says I'm having a bit of a problem with my pc build. I'm currently upgrading to a new pc and wanted to make another one out of my current build. I wanted to keep the drives, case, gpu and psu for now though. Thus, what I've done is I bought a new case, psu and took an old hdd from a different pc. I've put my old mobo with ram, cpu and cooler still attached into the new chassis, connected the hdd and power and.. it keeps turning on and off with fans spinning but no post or sound signals. What I've tried so far: •resetting the cmos by shortening the pins •resetting the cmos by taking out the battery for 5 mins and holding the power button for 30 seconds •reseating all inner connectors(cpu 8-pin, mobo, front panel, audio, hdd, usb 3.0) •trying the all the ram sticks one by one •moving and rescrewing in the motherboard (in case the standoffs weren't aligned perfectly and somehow shortened it) •disconnecting all unnecessary hardware and connectors-hdd&gpu, reset button cable What I haven't tried: •trying my old/different psu, although the one currently in seems to be powering the fans and mobo led •reconnecting old drives, i haven't done anything prior to switching componets, but afaik this shouldn't matter right? •powering the pc only by shortening the pins After every attempt it looks the same, the fans start spinning for a bit and the mobo led lights up but it powers down after a sec. It usually happens once or twice, and later it seems to "turn on" for longer but it later powers down anyway. When I've tried one particular ram stick i think it turned on for longer from start, but honestly I'm not sure. There is no visual signal nor beeps from the included speaker I've connected. It seems like the motherboard is damaged or some connector is not inserted properly. I'm very much a novice builder, but I've tried to be careful all the time. I wore an esd strap on my ankle when working with anything and handled the components gently without touching the pcbs if possible. Rig I'm trying to boot up: I5-6600k Nh-u12S Gigabyte z170-d3h Be quiet system power 9 600W 4x4gb g.skill ripjaws IV ddr4 3ghz SilentiumPC Signum SG1M TG case Any help will be greatly appreciated!

One of my freinds had a computer with a r5 1400, asrock a-320m motherboard, with a 400w psu for a while and decided to start upgrading his parts, he got a new psu that is 500w a new 1660 super, and now got a new cpu (ryzen 7 2700x), and is planning on getting a new board because the a320 is just a massive bottleneck in general. We installed the new cpu combined with the wraith prism cooler. after we got it mounted we started up the pc... the fans, rgb and other lights all turned on graphics card started spinning. none of the peripherals recieved pwr output from the pc and there was also no video output, then after 15-20 seconds it just shuts off and reboots, and continues the cycle. we tried, unplugging the ac, clearing cmos by removing the onboard battery which made it not turn off on its own but rather keep running with no output then after like 15 mins we turned it off and then rebooted it and it went back to the classic turn on for 15 seconds and then shutoff... any ideas what it could be? i know that the a320 board is really not smthg u want to use for a 2700x but its supposed to be compatible with 2ng gen ryzen and even if it wasnt its just supposed to lower the clock speed. Either way hes gettin a new board soon but that could take a while. Anyone know anything about this kind of problem? all help or tips are welcome.

Hello, I recently built a budget PC ~750$ and overall (after a rocky start) everything has been working great. This is except for one post issue I've run into. It has always happened but I only recently narrowed down the 'cause' of this issue. For some reason, if my monitors are both turned off before turning on my pc, it will never post. The most life I get is the first post LED (dram) staying solid and having to force power off my system. This is a relatively non issue because it just means I have to turn on my monitor a few seconds before my pc, however it does become pretty annoying at times. Is there anyway to fix this? Specs: ASUS GTX 1060 6GB AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ Certified ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus Motherboard 16GB XPG Z1 DDR4 3200MHz (2x8) (running 3000MHz as it has refused to post at 3200) Silicon Power 256GB NVMe Boot Drive As I said this is a new build, and my first, so this could easily be a matter of a simple BIOS setting that I haven't enabled/disabled. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I just received a kit of Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16 from PC Case Gear, and have been trying to get my PC to boot with the new RAM installed, however there is no display output. Hello, After battling the scalping bots for a few weeks, I finally managed to get a hold on a brand new Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC GPU. I updated every component for this new rig: - PSU : Antec Ne700G Zen - Motherboard : Asus Prime B550m-A - CPU : Ryzen 5 5600x - RAM : Corsair 16 Gb DDR4 3600 MHz However, when I plug in the 3070 into its brand new PCIE x16 slot and I attach the PSU PCI-E connectors (one 8 pin for the GPU and a 6 pin for the fans) there is no POST on my PC and I obtain a, in all honesty, quite frustrating sonata composed of a long beep followed by 3 short beeps. I managed to get into the BIOS with and old GPU of mine (an RX 480) and tried every tip I found in the vast sea of information we call the Internet : updating my BIOS, Clearing CMOS, turning off CSM, turning on 4g decoding, forcing the PCIE lane to work in Gen4 mode and so on. After spending 5h troubleshooting everything (I even did a clean windows install, and changed my SSD to GPT) and losing my sanity in the process : nothing, nada, rien, res. Soooo, before I send back my GPU in hopes of getting a new one before summer of 2021, has anybody got similar issues or have any well informed clue about what the purgatorium is going on? Thanks in advance. Yours truly (and forever and ever), Thomas

Hey there! My friend ordered new CPU, motherboard and ram for his old gaming computer. He got a i5-10400f, a Asus Prime H410m-d motherboard, and some 4666mhz ddr4 ram (2 sticks) After building the pc, we connected everything and booted it up. The BIOS logo appeared, I was then prompted to press F1 because "a new cpu was detected", which I did. I entered the BIOS and checked if the ram was at the right speed, and left the BIOS. Then started our problems. There is simply no screen output. The screen doesn't even display black, it just goes to sleep mode after saying no output has been detected. Now we don't even see the bios logo on startup anymore, the monitor doesn't even react to the computer starting up. We've plugged the video cables on the motherboard, have tried different cables, different screens, changed GPU, replugged every single cables in the motherboard, tried with only one stick of ram, with every one of the sticks of ram. We tried removing the battery of the Motherboard, making a CMOS clear, re-seatting the CPU.... Nothing worked or made any kind of difference. I come here desperately for gel or advice, even though I am now fairly convinced that the motherboard just died for no reason whatsoever. Thanks!!

Hi! I’ve had a rough time on my 2000$ gaming pc. I get no post on my monitors here is what happens: I run my pc fans spin all my leds light up but it doesn’t post. And to turn my pc off I can’t use the on board power button on my motherboard or use my case power button I have to flip the switch on my PSU. Parts: Asus Prime Z3990-A Intel i79700 Gigabyte 2070 Super wind force white Gskill Titanium ( I think thats what it’s called) Anyways this computer has worked for 1 year until i got dropped an inch. I went to a professional and they said replace the intel chip so I did. I also replaced the motherboard. Both of those are new. This no post. My motherboard has Q-Led troubleshooting but none of the lights show up.

About a month ago my motherboard fried itself, so I replaced it with the B450 Gaming Pro Carbon Max WiFi. I was using my ryzen 5 1400 for the beginning, before switching to the ryzen 7 3700x where all these issues started. First, I reset bios and set the motherboard to factory and blind updated it. Still nothing. Ran every diagnosis I could, and called multiple friends even had them come over to my house to help. Everything we did had no result. Cpu light isn't on, graphics card works. I have an MSI rx580 4gb oc. Fans spin, power to hdmi and display ports, but no picture. When unplugging it all 3 of my monitors go into a "no connection" screen. I have corsair Vengeance RGB pro 2x16gb sticks for ram. Those even work as well. For power supply I have GameMax 850w psu. Works just fine. My buddies and I thought it was the motherboard, as its shown it clearly wasn't after replacing it with a new one. I have even gone as far as using another ryzen 5 1000 series. I am quite knowledgeable with pcs, but I have no clue whats going on with this thing. I even used my friends graphics card to diagnose if it was that, and his had no picture. I've ran out of ideas as I've ripped everything out and re-wired everything more than the finger on both hands. I've checked all monitor connections as well, and literally everything and have no clue. Ive unplugged all fans to see if i wasnt getting enough power, thats not the case either. All wires are correct and connected where and as they should be. I've almost lost all hope, but I've put too much money into my childhood dream to throw it all away and forget about it. If you can help me, I will be forever grateful.

Hello guys! First of all, I'm not sure if Troubleshooting is the correct thread or whatever it's called to submit in, I'm sorry if any moderators have to move my topic. My PC suddenly wasn't able to POST, but I fixed it. I want to hear what others may think is / was the problem. So I downloaded ASUS Suite 2, installed it, restarted, started Suite 2, messed up my fan profile, uninstalled Suite 2, restarted - to go into BIOS and redo my fan profile. When I got into the BIOS, the aspec ratio the BIOS menu is displayed in was changed. But the BIOS menu itself was working perfectly. I then redid my fan profile and then restarted, and then my PC didn't POST. I then tried taking out my GPU(startup without GPU and reseat), RAM(tested single stick / reseat), CMOS battery(reseat, to reset CMOS), nothing worked; PC still didn't POST. Then I tried turning on my PC WITHOUT the CMOS battery installed and then my PC did POST. Then I turned of my PC, put all hardware back in, also the CMOS battery, and my PC still POST and still works perfectly. Since then I have restarted multiple times, redone my fan profile in BIOS and so on, everything works perfectly. But what happened? Does anything know what might have caused this to happen?
