So, this is a long story. basically, i started off by uninstalling my gpu drivers. i had like 15 different engines and i just wanted the Radeon one for my Rx580. i was going to just run without drivers for a while, no harm right? so it says to restart pc to finish. it turns off. but now, it turns on, and the monitor says no signal. Now, before you ask, I have tried- Reseating the RAM Reseating the CPU Different GPU Different Motherboard Different Boot Device Nothing. I watched a lot of videos and the overall consensus was that my RAM was dead, or incompatible with my MOBO. so i went to best buy and got a brand new set of Corsair 16gb 3600 Speed ram, an upgrade to the samsung 16gb 2666 ram i had. i am fine with paying for the new ram, but it did not solve my problem. Does anyone have any possible clue?? CPU- Ryzen 7 1700 GPU- Gigabyte RX580 8G Gaming (backup gpu- MSI Gt710) Ram- noted above. SSD- Samsung 970 Evo 1TB Mobo-ASUS TUF B450-Plus Gaming (Test mobo-HP8399)

Hi, I’m having trouble with my newest PC build. This is only my second one, so I’m still a little new at this. The problem: I’m not getting any display on my monitor. I’ve tried different HDMI cables, and the monitor itself works fine. I thought the problem might be the power connections to the CPU, as I have two four-pin connectors from the PSU and an eight-pin (CPU PWR 1) input and a four-pin input (CPU PWR 2) on the motherboard. Would this have anything to do with it? I also tried connecting the HDMI directly to the motherboard, without the GPU, and I still didn’t get a display output. Attached are pics of the GPU, CPU and MB power connectors, as well as a pic of the whole setup. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I’d be very grateful! Note: I cannibalized the PSU from my old PC, but it was working fine on that one. Edit: Forgot to mention that the fans turn and LEDS light up, as well as the EZ Debug LED at DRAM. Specs: MB: MSI X570 A Pro GPU: Radeon 5700 XT PSU: Seasonic 650W CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5700X

Hi Guys, building my first PC and I’ve got a problem. I’ll insert my specs below and carry on from there: Motherboard: Msi b550 tommohawk GPU: ASUS GeForce gtx 1660 super CPU: Ryzen 5 3600XT RAM: Corsair Vengence 16GB 3200MHz PSU: EVGA BQ 650W Bronze semi modular Case: NZXT H510i Storage: WD Blue 500GB SSD Basically what happens is the system powers on, CPU LED on the mother board lights up, then turns off, VGA light on motherboard turns on, then turns off, then the boot light turns on and stays on. The boot light indicates that the boot drive has not been detected, even though it’s my first turn on and I want to open the BIOS, however no display on the TV to open the BIOS. Graphics card will start running but then the fans stop spinning after a few seconds. HDMI is connected to the graphics card and TV recognises that the HDMI is in use but shows no information or display. If I plug my USB with the windows install on it then the boot light doesn’t illuminate but still no display on the TV. would it be possible that I’d need a dedicated PC monitor to be able to see the post screen or should this not matter that I’m using my TV? Any help would be highly appreciated lads, thank you. Rhys

I have a Montech X3 Mesh case, H470M DS3H mobo, and a 650 W Arsegame power supply (pictures included). So I’ve been having a lot of trouble with this pc build. It’s my first build, and I don’t know a lot about tech so please bear with me. After I finished building, all was well (sort of). Checked and saw my CPU was 100c and realized I never installed the fans. So I open it up, try to install the fans, following this tutorial and now my PC won’t turn on at all. I made sure to turn it off and unplug it before doing anything. I unplugged the fans, and it turns on now but now the screen won’t display and some lights lit up on top of the case. Earlier I had to hold down the power button to get it to turn off, but after plugging the hdmi more into my monitor I don’t? I just press the button like normal and it turns off. What’s happening and how do I fix it? PLEASE I don’t have the money to take this to a shop, and I don’t trust any shops around here to actually fix it anyway. I’ve sat up all night and the past 2 days just crying. Sorry for spamming photos, I don’t know what exactly people need to see to help. Also included is a video of what’s happening. Please help me, I’m begging.

My RX 470 (i have 2 of them) gaming g1 from gigabyte are not being detected by the upper PCIE slot in the motherboard. Tried: Resetting CMOS Reseating GPU Physically Inspected GPU Physically inspected and cleaned GPU and MB slot vBios updates weird thing is that the pc i tested it on lets call it PC 1 is my main Pc which has a 2080 and that 2080 works perfectly in the upper slot, and i had put different gpus in there and they work perfectly too but the rx 470s dont work up there. I also tried it in my gfs PC which has a 1070 and the RX 470 doesnt work on the upper slot either so i narrowed down that the problem is in the RX 470. WELL GUESS WHAT THEY WORK ON THE LOWER PCIE (x4 slot) ON BOTH PCs. I have updated the bios, run bench marks while it was on the lower PCIE slot and it doesnt overheat or show any signs of anything wrong with it. I dont think is a bios corruption, only thing i can think of is that it was used for mining but wouldnt the vbios update delete any mining update stuff they did on it? NOTES: On PC1 Upper PCIE is a 4.0 x16, Lower is 3.0 x4 SPECS: PC 1 I5 12400f 2080 Msi pro b660m-a ddr4 750 PSU gfs PC i5 11400 Z490 gigabyte gaming x 500 or 550 PSU 1070 Recently tried it in a 3rd rig that only had a: i3 10100f 550 PSU b560 acer motherboard that only has 1 pcie slot x16 and it didnt work on that x16 any ideas on what it can be? Thanks very much

Today I left my PC on sleep for 20-30 minutes, and when I came back I noticed that the peripherals that are connected to it have their rgb lights off, I didn't think much about it since it was normal for it to just turn off whenever the pc entered sleep, but this time my PC doesn't respond to any of my inputs through either my mouse or my keyboard. Oddly enough, I can't force it to power down through the power button as well. After cutting the power, I tried to turn it back on but while all of the fans are spinning, it wasnt displaying anything on the monitor, and when I tried to plug in my mouse (G102) the RGB lights are still off even though it normally would, does this mean that my motherboard is dead? note: the motherboard doesn't beep. It was dead silent the whole time, but it still gives out power to everything including my GPU and the fans but nothing else. Here's a list of my System's specs: ASRock B450M HDV R.2 Ryzen 5 3500 8GB 2666Mhz KLEVV x2 PALIT GTX 1650 Sorry if my english is bad, as it is not my first language. Any help would be very appreciated, thanks!

I recently got a new pc. And it was working fine untill I added my gpu into it. I searched everything up made sure it was completely compatible. When I plugged it in the first time it booted fine so I got to downloading the latest drivers for it. Upon the restart at the end of the driver download. It booted fine. But got no display or usb power. So I did the usual research and it said to pull the cmos for around 5/10 minutes. So I did and it booted fine. And now again this morning it wouldn't boot. So I did the cmos trick again and it booted it fine. Until I did a restart and now it's back to black screen with no display. I've done some troubleshooting and found out it works only If I unplug my gpu and do the cmos trick everytime I want it to boot fine. I can't find anything online about it and I would very much appreciate some advice on what to do. My specs Motherboard: Asus Q87M-E CPU: I5-4570 GPU: Asus Radeon R9 290 4gb Psu: EVGA 600W1 80+ White Ram: 8Gbx2 DDR3 1600 Kingston Hyperx Blu

I got a brand new laptop (M15 R7) delivered as replacement to the faulty system day before yesterday. Today, I opened the laptop for the first time. After the initial windows 11 Setup. I have not even used more than half an hour. All of a sudden, the laptop powered off and power button started blinking red and blue. After that, when I powered on the laptop, no display, but all lights turns on, even looks like it boots up as I hear some type of windows 11 sound after sometime maybe it reached lockscreen. I'm not sure as I have been using windows 10 till now. but power button keeps on blinking as mentioned below First it was 1 long red and 4 short blue. I just took a break and came back and again tried to powered on. Now it is blinking 2 short red and 7 short blue.

Hey , So There seems to be a weird issue. Now if there is some vibrations in the desk after some usage of about a hour or so either by pushing it or hitting an edge if the edge the screen shuts down and both keyboard and mouse seems to be unresponsive. There are three states which the system goes into :- 1) Either Sound Still plays But non of the clicks register because keyboard and mouse inputs are not read. [Not able to pause video, Or do some execution while gaming or shut down system with hot keys like alt-f4 or ctrl-alt-delete]. 2) No sound and nothing else like no inputs from mouse and keyboard. 3) Similar to two but now all fans start to spin at max Rpm. While it is in this state the system is running like all RGB seems to be running and all fans are spinning etc. Hard resetting with power button seems to work and system boots normally. If i shake the desk now nothing happens. Have tried to use my DP port and Hdmi port to see if display would at least work but no luck. Do not know where to start to diagnose this. Please help out.

Hi, I just built my new pc with new everything except for my GPU. Now every time I turn it on, it powers up, fans are spinning, GPU fan is spinning, GPU has light, but there is no display. My motherboard's debug LED has a white light on VGA. I have tried reseating my GPU and verifying that cables are tightly plugged in, but issue still persists. To resolve the issue, I have to stick a screwdriver in JBAT1 header in the motherboard (I believe this is to clear CMOS and reset BIOS) every time. When I do this, and presses the power button, my machine powers up for few seconds, then it turns off, and then turns on again, this time without any issues. I just don't think this is normal for a new computer. Any ideas why it happens? Is my GPU failing? This was working in my old computer :(. So basically i saw linus's new video "amd says youre doing it wrong" and wanted to look at the settings on my dell insiprion laptop, and i couldnt open raedon settings because windows sucks and downloads the wrong drivers everytime it updates or wtv, so i went to the amd site and used the driver tool too instal the right drivers, but sum went wrong i guess because the monitor just says "no signal" even though the computer seems to be working, im not a tech wizz so idk what i can do to fix it, ive tried restarting the laptop but that doesnt work.

Hello, I'll try to make it a short story but it might not be. I recently just finally upgraded to a new ryzen platform after being on an am3 based system for years. I was so excited to get everything. I even ordered a new case to go with it. Pc specs are Cpu: ryzen 7 5800x. Mobo: msi mpg x570s carbon max. Psu: Corsair rm850x. Ram: 32gb of trident z neo. Lian li fans and noctua nh-12U cpu cooler. And 2 nvme drives. I installed everything into my fractal meshify c, newegg said the case was back ordered and so I put the new system into my old case so when Monday came around, windows was installed drivers downloaded. Everything, so I could just swap cases. Today (monday) came around and my case arrived. I carefully moved everything into the new case. Lian li lancool 2 mesh. I decided to repaste the cpu well i was at it just to make sure I got it right the first time. I moved everything over and did a bunch of cable management and made sure everything was plugged in. I booted it up and it lit up. All the fans spinning, lights on, gpu led lights on. Everything seemed to go as planned. I got a post code "code 99" I looked in the manual and it said "super io initialization" I said "oh well, maybe the motherboard just has to kind of think about whats going on, I didn't remove anything but the memory. So maybe the motherboard has to configure everything. (It took the motherboard about 5 minutes the first boot to do this) After about 10 minutes nothing happened, I looked it up and followed all the steps. Here's what i did. Unplugged every single power cord going to the mobo and gpu and from psu, and reinstalled them all. Unplugged and replaced the GPU. Reseated both memory modules, and even cleaned and reseated the cpu with fresh thermal paste, cleared cmos with the button on the back and then used the jumpers as well. Make sure all USB devices were disconnected and only power was connected. Started pc with 1 memory module, started pc with only the power cord nothing else plugged it. Unplugged all USB fan controllers and extra plugs. Then, I thought maybe the bios needed to update for some reason, the pc was working fine before I switched cases but you never know with these things. So I did that, pc started up, bios reset. Shut off and then came back on. Code 99. I have a ezled debugg light and it's red on CPU. But that doesn't make any sense? How could 1 case swap cause either my board or my cpu to just. Fail? I was careful. Everything built on a wooden table. No static. Nothing. I didn't touch the pcb of the motherboard when installed. I used the vrm heatsinks and backplate off the cpu. Making sure I didn't force anything. Anyone have any insight? I have 24 days to RMA either the mobo or the cpu. I don't want to do any of this. I've heard the horror stories of newegg. It's my fault yes from buying from them. But they were the only place in canada to carry the parts I needed. I searched everywhere. EDIT: Everything was working completely fine before case swap. PSU is almost brand new. 4-5 months of use and was bought new. Orginal cables used. CPU pins are all straight. CPU socket all straight and cleaned. No dust or anything. CPU reinstalled three times. still code 99 and no display out.

I recently tried to upgrade my PC to a Ryzen processor from my previous Athlon processor. Here are the specs of my system: Motherboard: ASUS PRIME A320 M-K (Latest UEFI/BIOS version) Old CPU: AMD Athlon X4 950 New CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 RAM: 8GB, 2400mHz DDR4 Storage: Seagate Firecuda 530 1TB with heatsink PSU: 500W I updated to the latest UEFI/BIOS version before the install and everything worked fine with the old CPU but the new CPU doesn't display anything when I turn the PC on. The CPU fan spins like normal, the lights turn on and everything appears to work as it should. The new CPU doesn't appear to have any bent or broken pins so I don't think that's the problem.

Roommate's PC was running the other night. She was playing overwatch and on discord call with friends. She got the blue screen of death mid match and she restarted her computer and it booted up fine and did it for a second and third time. The fourth time it booted it booted with no display. We unplugged it let it sit and it turned on display and everything. It again crashed the sixth time and restarted fine and ran well for over an hour. The seventh time it crashed the display hasn't come on since after multiple hours of it being unplugged and trying multiple ports and monitors. We plugged in the main hard drive to another pc and it seemed to of worked booting and loading multiple programs. We're not sure what would be the next step.
