Budget (including currency): USD1280 (SGD1700) Country: Singapore Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Photoshop (for print, large files), Final fantasy, light gaming, light video editing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Have an existing 4k monitor so that's settled. Upgrading from an old AF iMac. Replacing that old thing since it's just stopped working. Looking at the 12 core as a form of future-proofing - am I crazy? 3900x is the cheapest Ryzen 9 model in this market at USD600! This was the only RX 5700 graphics card I could find in market - its USD590! Where can I start to shave off the price?

Hi, this is my first post here, sorry for any mistake. I have an 250gb nvme m.2 that i use as my system drive and an 250gb sata ssd. I want to merge them together as one 500gb drive to be more organized. Is that possible? If so, how could i do that? I'm using windows 10. Thanks for your time.

Hello, I bought a AIO cooler for the first time, and may I ask for some tips of installing it, tips that may be helpful for a first timer, and tips of maintaining and putting water in? Really really thanks to anyone who may give a bit of advice, would really appreciate it btw, it's ARGB, and $40 from my local PC shop (Philippines)

Hello All! I feel like I'm going mad, as I am running minecraft at very sub optimal fps (30-50) with the standard texture pack and Optifine installed I understand my PC isn't a ridiculous spec, but I'd at least think it's better than low MC frames, Other games seem to run just fine, it's only MC that seems to be the issue, it just doesnt seem to want to use any form of GPU power at all, and I've got a friend with similar specs who is experiencing the same on a 3070 Thanks all! System Specs Ryzen 5 3600 (Stock Cooler) Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC 6gb 16gb Ram @ 3600mhz Sabrient m.2 1tb (where MC is installed) Corsair TX550 550W PSU Dell 144hz 1080p Monitor

So I am currently planning my first PC build. Been using laptops for a while and I've been on a MacBook pretty much the past decade. Still planning to use the MacBook as a portable device, but decided to build a PC for my home use. Not too sure what I'm getting into, but I hope the numerous hours of LTT videos has aided my selection of components. Budget: SGD3000 Country: Singapore Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Probably some Steam games, some Triple A MMORPGs, and use of the Adobe Creative Suite. Intended Build: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I Gaming Graphics Card: ASUS DUAL-RTX3060-O12G Case: NZXT H210 Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3600MHz CL18-22-22-42 1.35V 16GB (2x8GB) PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-650 SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S with a couple of extra fans around the case. Some questions that I have regarding my build 1. Originally thought of getting the Ryzen 7 5800X, but after some looking around, I felt that the 5800X isn't that far off from the 5600X. Given my workload, not sure if I would really benefit from that extra cash in the 5800X. 2. Given the current graphic card situation, what I found at a local dealer was the ASUS DUAL-RTX3060-O12G. And given the NZXT H210 case, did not have many options available. My current monitor is specced at 1440p 75Hz (maybe 70Hz?) so I think this should be sufficient? Just aiming to have above 60FPS at decent settings. No requirements for over 100FPS, as long as the settings are not at the absolute minimum (as they have been on my MacBook, and even then only getting sub-50FPS). 3. The main AMD page states that the 5600X System Memory Specification is up to 3200MHz. Does this mean my intended RAM will have to be capped at 3200MHz instead of the rated 3600MHz? 4. Lastly, is 650 Watts enough power? I would think it is, but I'm not sure how to find out either. If anyone has any advice of potential upgrades I may consider, given my budget, do let me know, but currently, with a mix of Newegg and my local dealers, the above build is already in the region of SGD2750. Have yet to factor in a new keyboard since I'm still on the old school Mac wired keyboard. Thanks!

Hello! I'm building my first pc and I'm having trouble picking a graphics card that isn't super expensive for no reason :(. My parts list is more focused on low price rather than the best performance right now but it's just a starter. I found a pretty good graphics card (i think) for about 60 bucks on ebay, but I'm like 90% sure it was a scam? I bought it anyway cause ebay is surprisingly good at refunds, but if that does turn out to be a waste of time I would like to have a backup that's compatible and doesn't cost more than half my pc! Thank you guys so much for your help :)

Budget (including currency): Aprox. $1000-1500 USD Country: Mexico Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: EU4, CK3, HoI4, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Rocket League, Fall Guys Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) ATX Motherboard with PCIe 4.0, Dual M.2, 12+2 with Dr. MOS Power Stage, HDMI, DP, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Aura Sync RGB Lighting AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core 3.7 GHz Socket AM4 65W 100-100000065BOX Desktop Processor Hey there! As the title gives it away, this will be my very first time I build a computer. I have never actually had built computers, only an MSI GE70 (which I still currently use but it keeps screaming for it to die in peace). This build is something I'm working through NewEgg and I've watched hundreds of LTT videos but still have no idea of what I'm doing, regarding how to select the best parts for my build. The ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus Motherboard I selected is the one I think fits best my future upgrading needs (or so I think). To my understanding, it is a fairly recent motherboard, with the latest AMD socket or chipset (idk). I was originally aiming for a not so recent CPU, but seeing the price difference I opted to go for the 5600X. However, I reached the part were I need to select the RAM for it. I know I will put in x2 8GB sticks but, and here goes my main concern, I wasn't able to figure out the speeds supported by the ASUS motherboard. Additionally, I don't know if the RAM speed has to match the core speed or if there are some other things I need to lookout for. Can you help me figuring out the total speed ranges I can use and what would be the best speed for it and why? I want to learn and not just build it so if you can help me with detailed information I will very much appreciate it. Do you also think the MB or processor are overkill? Do you recommend a different MB or processor? Thanks in advance everyone!

Greetings and my apologies as I am sure this issue has been discussed before. But, all of the threads I found related to this issue where not very easy to understand. To begin, I am setting up a small home storage pc/NAS I am using windows 10 as that is what I am most familiar with. I have managed to get it set up to work through file sharing so that anyone on the network can simply put in the file path and use it like any other drive. This systems should work fine as I just need it to store bulk data later, on I will add plex to stream videos. I am now trying to set it up so that I can access it remotely. My router supports openvpn natively so I decided to role with that, I can connect to the network fine but can only access files if I turn off the systems public firewall. Obviously this is not a great option as it makes it far more vulnerable, most of the suggestions I have seen suggest editing the inbound rules in the windows firewall settings. However, I am still rather new to networking in general so most of the information I have seen does not make much sense to me. I have seen a possible solution is to add my vpn's subnet as an exception to the firewall, how would I go about doing this? I am not sure what my subnet is or how I would add the exception. This seems like a software issue but just incase here are the system specs just in case: OS = Windows 10 VPN = OpenVPN Case/Motherboard = Dell Optiplex 390 CPU = i7 2600 Ram = DDR3 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) 1600MHz Storage = Seagate BarraCuda 8TB x 3 in windows parity for the storage array and a WD 500GB HHD as an OS drive GPU = GTX 1080 PSU = 550w Bronze Router = Asus RT-AX58U Sorry for the rambling nature of my post and for my general incompetence. A huge thank you to anyone who is able to offer advice or suggestions!

Hi, A few weeks ago I build my first Pc with my cousin and it worked out great and it went really smooth and nothing was wrong. After I got home however it started to become a little funky. When I booted it up it started to lag and it occasionally freezes when I have a stream up, a game and a discord chat open at the same time and when I talk or even opening a new tab it starts to freeze and lag. And I'm worried because I don't know what is going on. I tried to see if I needed to update anything and it says that everything is up to date or if it was a faulty product and everything looked to be there so I don't know what is going. Or maybe its just something else that I have no idea on what it is. If you are curious on what parts I have: Intel- I9-9900K Asus Motherboard Z-390 Samsung 1 Tb SSD Barracuda 2 Tb Hard Drive (Upgrading to 8 the parts are not in yet) Gigabyte 2080 Super Corsair Vengeance 32 GB

Hey, Everyone! First Post here! I was going to sell my old PC, when I went to install windows on it, it wouldn't find the SSD, even tho it showed up in the BIOS. I added drivers to the USB, but before turning it on again I switched the sata port on the motherboard. I think I might've pressed a bit too hard because the computer stopped working after that. The cpu and chassis fans both spin, but there is no video output, and I also don't think the motherboard usb ports work anymore. (Because before, the keyboard and mouse rgb used to light up, but after they don't.) Motherboard is an ASUS H110M, cpu is i3 7100, 2x 4GB 2133 DDR4 RAM. Basically I think the motherboard may be dead. I also tested the GPU and it works. Help.

Hi. I'm wanted to build pc for: 1. Minecraft (not laggy when building a lot of redstones and using good shaders) 2. Photo editing 3. Coding (full-stack website dev) 4. Budget: ±720 USD and ±285 USD monitor for editing (99% sRGB or adobe) this is my build: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: ASRock B450M PRO4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory Storage OS: Samsung 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Blue 2 TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB Video Card Power Supply: SeaSonic M12II EVO 520 W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Monitor: AOC C24G1 24.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor (is it good enough for photo editing?) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S 55 CFM CPU Cooler (is it excellent air cooler?) Case: ? OS: Windows 10 I've not decided on a case, monitor, and excellent non-RGB air cooling system yet any suggestion? I never build pc before and wanted to build a balanced and on budget machine. I worried that the components are not compatible or not get maximum performance because some good components are not supported by the others. I'm from indonesia btw. thanks!

Budget (including currency): $2,000USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming first and foremost (CP2077, RDR2, GTAV, Witcher 3. Things like this!) , graphic design and art second. Needs plenty of space for the plethora of files I have for my business and eventual downloads once I get things in order. Other details I posted a full run-down of what I'm aiming for here on Reddit. I thought I'd just extend my reach here a little since no one there has (of yet) said anything about the build itself. In essence, I'm completely new to PC building and I've only had prebuilt gaming laptops until now. I've always wanted a custom desktop rig but I would let the anxiety of my lack of knowledge get the better of me often, which in turn would keep me from finding a good place to start. What I basically want to know if what I outlined in that separate post (linked above) is possible with the budget? I'm well aware that currently it's not a great time for building - that's fine with me, but I'm still interested in a potential list I can go off of if anyone has any suggestions for when the time comes I will be able to build. I apologize if I sound silly or if any of this is dumb. I'm just a complete noob that wants a nice PC.

Budget (including currency): ---- Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly Gaming - Some 3D design Hey there! I am really new to the PC-building community and have saved up enough money to build an epic gaming rig. Ive already started my build and are building inside of the ROG Helios case. I wanted to switch out the intake fans that are included in the front of the case for cougar 120mm RGB Fans. However, in order to make these fans function as intake, the rgb band around the fan blades has to face out, so you can't see the rgb very well from the inside of the case. Not to mention, in the helios case, the only way to mount the fans is to mount them to the fan sled that coves up the sides of the fans, so that also covers up the rgb. I can't find a way to mount the fans without the sled so that the rgb shows. any suggestions?

Good day, I just replaced my Processor yesterday from Ryzen 3 2200g to Ryzen 5 5600x. And after I replaced my Processor my PC was stuck at BIOS logo. I tried to check the boot order, remove the cmos battery, unplug and replug my cords on the motherboard and into my SSD and bought a new RAM too. But I still have the same issue, stuck at the BIOS logo. Please help My PC specs: Ryzen 5 5600x Asrock Steel Series B550 HyperX Fury DDR4 8X2 GB KINGSTON SSD (BOOT) 500 GB HDD.

Got a new gaming rig recently - Ryzen 5600x with a 3060 Ti. Games were working fine for a while and then all of a sudden FPS dropped in all games. Like 30-40. I installed GPU-Z to look into any potential problems. Found that the 8-pin connector Power was just under 150W always. A 3060 Ti is supposed to consume around 200W right? And the Performance cap reason says PWR. So does that mean something is wrong with the PSU (750W Bronze) or the cable? I did not note down any logs when it was working fine so couldn't compare. Can someone help with this?

I was wondering if i could use one argb header and a controller at the same time to controll the rgb fans if the controller does not have enough headers for all fans. Anybody got some experience with that. It's gonna be the first time im building my own computer, hence my lack of rgb knowledge.

Hi guys currently I am searching for a Psu since the be quiet! 500w dark power 9 I have is only 220v and the outlets in my country are only 110v (we have 220v outlets but only in certain places that are used for heavy duty such as big air conditioners and such) so I have been searching for some time but only found the AZZA PSAZ-650W ARGB and the AZZA PSAZ-550w without ARGB (both 80 plus bronze) which I dont know if it is reliable since I want to use it for gaming and some editing, if anyone has one or knows how it holds itself it would be great help!so that I could know if it is best to avoid it and keep searching or if it is a decent pick and the Dark Power 9 psu I have I will use it in another pc down the road. Thanks! I am currently running: CPU: ryzen 5 3600 GPU: GTX 1060 6GB (Will upgrade to a 3060 non-TI when it is available) MB: Prime B550M-A Micro-ATX HDD: WD-BLUE 1TB SSD: SanDisk 500GB RAM: 2x 8GB G-Skill 3200mhz Power Supply: Be Quiet System Power 9 500W. Budget (including currency): 1500(USD) Country: Romania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Any game Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Motherboard: GIGABYTE B365M DS3H CPU: Intel Core™ i7-9700K 12M Cache, up to 4.90 GHz GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Dual 8GB GDDR6 256-bit SSD: Crucial BX500 240GB SATA-III 2.5 inch HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 RAM: HyperX Predator RGB 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 PSU: Corsair CV650, 80+ Bronze, 650W CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper H410R RGB Case: AQIRYS Arcturus ARGB ---------------------------------------------- I decided that I need an upgrade, because I havent upgraded my PC since 2016. These are the parts I decided to get but I have some questions and thought maybe you guys could help me out. My main concern is the RAM-CPU compability. I read on Intels site that the CPU only supports 2666 MHz RAM. The RAM I got is 3200 MHz. Is the RAM automatically gonna set itself to 2666 or should I go for a 2666 MHz RAM stick? The other questions I have are reliability related. Mainly the SSD and the GPU. I wonder if the SSD is on par with the others in its price range. I mean for the price I could get a lower capacity one from a better brand but with similar enough speeds. The other question I have is about the reliability of the GPU. I did some homework on it and it seems Palit, the GPU manufacturer doesnt seem that bad, but then again I dont know much about it either so let me know if its okay or not. The other weak point in this build is my HDD. I have it since my first built PC, 2016, and I know its crap but I dont really care much, because I am surely going to move Steam, Discord, Windows and what not on the SSD so they boot up faster. It really doesnt bother me at all. So thats it, I look forward to hearing your suggestions and any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm not sure if I shoud be posting this here but I have a question. Recently i want to change the M.2 of my pc for a new one with more specs, my motherboard comes with a heatsink for M.2, its the Aorus X570 elite. Right now I have an M.2 but I'm changing it for one with bigger capacity. So i was wondering if I should change the thermal pad on it when replacing it, or leaving it like that it's just fine? Thank you in advance!
