Hi. I got a MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC a few months ago. It works fine. Never had a problem with it at all! My Problem: I don't know since when its happening, but MSI Afterburner doesn't detect my graphics card and the graphics card driver version. See screenshot. It doesn't even let me use the slider (I'm not interested in overclocking tho). I think it might be happening after I installed Rockstar games social club for GTA 5. I installed it last week and I discovered that MSI afterburner is not detecting my graphics card on that day. And when MSI afterburner is running, social club crashes at startup. I'm 99% sure that it's not a hardware problem since every game runs just like before and similar software like GIGABYTE OC Guruji detects my GPU just fine, it even lets me control fan speed and core/memory clock without a problem. So it must be MSI afterburner? What I tried: I tried uninstalling graphics driver with DDU and reinstaling the latest one. Installing older 382.16 version. Reinstalling MSI afterburner, installing it's latest beta version. Doing a Windows Update. NOTHING WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Any help?

So I just got a Palit GTX 1060 6GB dual - an upgrade from my Palit GTX 960 JetSteam 4GB. I used afterburner 4.4.0 Beta 12 to overclock it and it worked fine, I also used the current release version - 4.3.0 and 4.2.0 to overclock it. Now with the GTX 1060 after reinstalling the drivers from scratch several times and afterburner, trying all the versions that previously worked, but Afterburner doesn't detect it. Additionally afterburner doesn't detect the integrated graphics from my CPU which it used to. Anyone experienced this before or know how to fix it?

Hi guys, I'm trying to overclock my GPU for the first time but I'm a little confused because my MSI Afterburner settings don't match the guide's settings: Guide: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2749337/safe-gpu-overclocking-guide-2016.html For example: 1) Afterburner doesn't give me the option of clicking an arrow with "Power Limit". I have an arrow next to "Core Voltage (mV)" and it opens up a subsection with different items. I can't seem to get the "Temp Limit" 2) The units for settings such as "Core Voltage (mV)" and "Power Limit (%)" aren't the same either. When the guide drags the bar to max for both items, the values read Core Voltage (mV) = +87 and Power Limit (%) = 110. However, when I do the same, my readings are Core Voltage (mV) = 1300 and Power Limit (%) = +20. I don't want to continue with the overclocking because: 1) I want to be able to set an upper limit for my GPU's Temperature, just like in the guide. 2) It doesn't seem like maxing out the settings for "Core Voltage (mV)" and "Power Limit (%)" is going to have the same effect for me. The guide seems to get an additional 87 mV when "Core Voltage (mV)" is maxed, whereas for me the reading goes from 1144 mV to 1300 mV, which is a difference of 156 mV (not 87). Similarly, when the guide adjusts it's "Power Limit (%)" to the max, it's increasing it to 110%. For me, the reading goes from +0 to +20 which isn't the same either because I don't know if I'm achieving 110% like the guide says or if I'm just adding 20% to whatever the base is. I don't know if this stuff matters, but my instincts are telling me to hold off until I've figured out the differences between the guide's and my settings/readings. So i had this new rx 580, a gaming x from MSI specifically with 8gb vram, so i tried this overclock at 1400Mhz with 2250 Mhz and + 5 voltage. I did the cooler boost in the gaming app so that, in theory, i wont experience thermo thorttling. So the overclock works fine, but then after a few hours of gaming, witcher 3 on ultra with a cpu of i3 6100 specifically, game crashes, says drivers died but recovered... after i restart, its back to the stock clock speed which is 1380. Am I doing something wrong here? Because that was just a small over clock, just 20 Mhz above the stock clock speed. Also, as you can tell, im a beginner in the overclocking game. Any help would truly be appreciated. Thank you

So as the title says, my Witcher 3 game has been crashing on every start up. I found that closing MSI Afterburner allows my game to load and operate properly. Anyone else with this issue? Is there a setting or way to allow MSI Afterburner and a game to coexist peacefully? Also, if I close MSI Afterburner to run Witcher 3 are the OC settings still applied or do they negate back to factory settings for the card? Thanks, Riqsha

I've overclocked my XFX R7870 to 1100MHz Core and 1450 VRAM with +20% Power control, all according to a guide. My problem is, that the Core stays at 1100MHZ at idle and the VRAM is at around 1200MHZ at idle too, which leads to annoyingly loud fans, wasted lifespan of the card and so on. Before I overclocked, the gpu & vram used to dynamically scale their clock speed. Why are they not doing that anymore? Sounds noobish because.. I am a noob at overclocking. Help/Advice is very much appreciated.

Can spamming the reset button of the MSI Afterburner software damage the gpu even if it's not overclocked? I accidentally spammed the reset button of MSI Afterburner while I was playing a game. I do dearly apologize for asking such a stupid question. I recently became a PC gamer and I'm fairly new to PC gaming.

So I noticed I was getting low frames in a game (in this case Overwatch) that I never usually get low frames in. So I watched MSI afterburner and noticed my GPU usage was maxed out at all times but as the match progressed it slowly dropped into 30%-40% usage but whenever I was in the Hero selection menu, my GPU usage would pop back all the way to max. What is causing this issue? I would say bottleneck but this game ran perfectly fine before and all of a sudden it does this? So I have a laptop. RTX 2070 Max Q When I fire up MSI Afterburner, every 2 or 3 seconds, it looses connection to the Gpu and then re-gains it displaying Lost connection to Gpu 1. Is this a software issue or is a connection on my motherboard poorly made. Same thing happens in other Gpu software.

Hi everyone! I will do my best with english since it's not my first language and will be thankful for your time and any replies I will be getting. So I have been using MSI Afterburner and rivatuner statistics server (RTSS) for a while on my desktop computer with no issues at all. I recently tried to use these programs on my Dell XPS 15 and the RTSS just won't show up. Laptop details: Laptop - Dell XPS 15 Model 9550 Windows 10 home - Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.316) Processor: intel i5-6300HQ 2.3GHz Display adapters: Intel HD graphics 530 & NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M MSI Afterburner works fine and I can see the graphs for the specs I'm interested in (GPU and CPU load and temperature) and the graphs are working without issues. It's also worth mentioning that I did select the option to show OSD for each spec I want to appear in the OSD and the I did map a hotkey to toggle the OSD. Basically these settings work great for me on my desktop but when I tried on the laptop... in a game the OSD just never shows up even with the toggle hotkey. i gave it a try in multiple Steam games and in Overwatch and the OSD never works. I also took the time to change some settings in RTSS following old threads suggestions and it did not work either. (all these suggested changes were not needed for the same games on my desktop. on the desktop it all worked without any issues off the bat. I have taken the time to lookup this problems and I have not found any answers that worked for me. Anyone has had this problem before? Any suggestions? Thanks you for your time

Hello ya'll. So I have been having an issue with MSI afterburner. When I first downloaded the software it worked fine. But now when I go to use the software, I don't see my base and boost clocks. Now I have used Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility to undervolt and overclock my UHD intel graphics 630 for poops and giggles but never fiddled with my GTX 1060 max q because intel XTU doesn't pick that up. Now the reason I want to overclock my max q is to squeeze out some more performance out of my card. its definitely able to handle any game on the market, but I'm really getting into computer hardware and I'm not afraid to fiddle with some systems. I was wondering if NIVIDA Optimus is the issue for not detecting my base and boost clocks in MSI AB. Or maybe it was XTU? I've tried everything I know including uninstalling MSI AB and reinstalling(the boost and base clocks come up for half a second and then disappear). I would appreciate some in sight. Thank you.

Hi friends. How do you make benchmarks of games? That is, in the sense of things must be taken into account when doing it, if they perform the tests in a long or short period, if they repeat several times or do not repeat, etc. Also, do you recommend msi or fraps? And how much bench time with Fraps should it be?

Just upgrades my pc but i cant be satisfied with it, having different kind of problems everyday, bought this Sapphire rx 590 nitro+ 2days ago. First there was some drive issue, that's why still cant use msi , gpu-z sapphire trixx, this softwares isnt showing gpu temp/core clock, fan speed. and now/today bought another stick of 8gb ram, and they amd recommend me to install 18.12.2 driver,,but i already had this driver but still i installed the same driver. after some time maybe 1/2 hours later, everytime i try to open any games, the pc reboots, even something i quit the game the pc reboots, at first i thought the ram is faulty, then i unplug this new ram,,and tried with my old one but still pc rebooting, then i thought i has psu issue, even though this psu is new, bought it with me gpu. its thermaltake smart modular 630w, (i know this isn't the best) then i installed 18.12.3 driver optional one, and then tried to open games and close,,tried this more than 1 hour but then there was no random rebooting, So i'm not sure that gpu driver did that, or maybe it can ?

Yesterday i bought this card, so i faced some weird problem like msi afterburner,Sapphire trixx, gpu-z and others software like these are isn't showing gpu temp, core clock, fan speed etc etc,,i thought gpu has sensor issue, but i checked wattman and the wattman showing everything that's mean the sensor is working, and someone said it must be software problem since it's a new card. So as he said i'm waiting for next updates, But today i checked that gpu fan keeps spinning if i add a custom fan curves, i know if i add custom fan curve than i'll spin everytime, but tried resetting the wattman settings, turned on 0RPM fam,,but still it's spinning, Then i reinstalled the Radeon driver then the fan stopped spinning, but if i again add a fan curve then i cant stop it from spinning even if i reset the whole settings. It's my first time using amd gpu's and i'm really disappointed with their software

Hi there guys yesterday i installed the new 416.34 nvidia drivers and since i restarted my PC it's been very slow and unresponsive,my mouse is lagging and i can't even open a folder . After 2h of digging in safe mode i noticed that when i Apply my Overclock to the gpu only then it starts to behave like that. And no it's not unstable overclock i have been running it like that for maybe a year now no problems. And also no matter how much oc i apply it's still doing the same. Same using EVGA Precision X . I tried installing nvidia drivers one more time also tried reinstalling MSI afterburner. Also tried to load optimized defaults in the bios since i had a 700mhz overclock on my fx 8350 and i thought it might be the coulprit. Still no luck. What should i try next? Anyone had a problem like that?
