Summary A new display from Xiaomi, the "Xiaomi Fast LCD Monitor 24.5-inch 240HZ version" sets a new low for the industry. Edit: HDMI 2.1a has been published, adding Source-Based Tone Mapping. Quotes My thoughts As if USB 3.1 gen 1 and USB 3.2 gen 2, USB type C cables, Thunderbolt 3 vs. Thunderbolt 4 weren't all bad enough. Is HDMI 2.1 now meaningless? Hi there ***Please refer the links at the end to see the actual products.*** I want to mount a monitor to a floor TV stand. The monitor has only 100x100 vesa mounting available and the floor TV stand's minimum is 200x200 vesa. Are there any products in the market that could solve this problem? Amazon has some products that do exactly opposite of this (they allow bigger TV's to hook up to a smaller vesa mount) but they specifically say that in product description that the opposite cannot be achieved. Hi (first post on LTT Yay) but I was wondering if yous could help me out. I'm a CAD contractor and I have a pretty decent pc just for work. I have an I7 8600K, 16gb of ddr4 ram and a Palit gtx 1070ti. compared to the software and simulations I run its well more than enough technically but here the thing, I currently run two 27 inch monitors and continuously switch tabs multiple times every few minutes just to look at dimensions or notes, so id like a third monitor. The duel 27's I run right now are both 1080p and run at 60hz and I'm looking to add an ultrawide monitor (34inch to 43inch) to it, maybe an LG or something. really I just want others opinions here if they've tried it with a similar system or if they have any ideas weather it will work or not as I definitely need more screen real estate and an ultrawide with the current two would be an ideal outcome

Hello, I recently purchased an LG 27GL83A-B and can hardly stand how horrible the blacks are. White text on black backgrounds looks very blurry, I can’t see dark areas in games while the rest is on the peak of being too bright. Has anyone found a work around to setting tweaks to help with this? Very disappointing considering how popular it appears to be.

I was wondering if the Acer Nitro VG240Y comes with a displayport cable?

Yeah I have no idea which forum to post this in so i just decided to post this here, I am in the process of buying and Xbox series x, and I do not have any clue to which monitors would support it. (to the fullest extent)

I currently have two monitors(different brands-Dell and LG). I was thinking of getting two Dell P2419H. I usually sit for a prolonged period of time on front on monitors. So I need something that won't hurt my eyes. Price of monitors are exceptionally high in Bangladesh so considering all the factors I chose the Dell P2419H. My budget is about 200 USD for each monitor(20k BDT). For people with big heart and a few spare time in hand you can check out the prices of monitors here.

Hey all, was looking at some options for 4k monitors to use with my PS5. With that in mind im not against buying a 60hz since the PS5 is capped anyway. I have a few on sale on Amazon that ive been looking at and was curious if there was one that stands out or if anyone has better recommendations. Thanks for taking the time! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CH9ZTI4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_7BX39XBQ0H44X7CNGN70?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CVTTNN4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_4TFJ5W2D43BDH6RM44S7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PGL2WVS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_G0H7Y98M49JAQ87JXFCD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Hey guys, been a while since i posted. My monitor has had a problem ever since I got it, the problem being that the bottom left corner was dead. It was only an area of a few pixels so I didn't mind really. Occasionally I would notice a flickering orange pixel in the very corner followed by the monitor abruptly turning off. This was a huge red flag, but I didn't want to spend money replacing or repairing the monitor since times have been tough during COVID. Fast forward to about an hour ago and suddenly the corner begins to spark, followed by the pixels around it starting to die and get stuck. The image started to flicker horizontally for about 20 minutes and then it completely died. It turns on, but it's only a mass of dead pixels in the corner and a black screen. I've tried looking up my problem but I can't find anything quite like it. I think the flickering orange dot in the corner is a shorted/sparking wire or pixel. I tried using VR to see my desktop, but then somehow my vive lost tracking. I go to turn off my PC, hit the power button, and it won't turn off. I had to hold the power button to get it to shut off. I know it may sound a bit daft, but i'm kind of worried my monitor may have fried something in my PC. Also worried that I corrupted something by forcing it to turn off. Gonna have to head to Micro Center when it opens and spend the money on a new monitor I guess. Any thoughts? Also attached is a video of the flickering horizontally. IMG_3077.MOV

Budget (including currency): $1700 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming using OBS or OBS-like software, games like Minecraft, photo editing, web browsing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have no existing parts or peripherals other than a mouse that's perfectly suitable for my need. I want a keyboard with good key action (probably mechanical, rgb means nothing to me), and I'd like two monitors (no extreme resolution, 60 hz refresh rate is a-ok). Windows 10 is a must. To reiterate, I'm looking for prebuilt and peripheral recommendations that will help me achieve what's stated above. Very, very sorry if this post breaks any rules or if it's in the wrong place, and thanks to all who take time out of their day to respond!

I recently received this monitor after doing countless hours of research on the best 240hz, 1440p, 1ms (or lower) gaming monitor for my price range (max £700). I like to play apex legends and i need the fast response times and refresh rate to stay competitive. I run the monitor in extreme mode, but whatever mode its set to it does not matter, I always get a blurry image. Im coming from an Asus Tuf 144hz, 1ms, IPS which looked great. I have not changed my in game settings at all and right out of the box this monitor was instantly blurry whilst playing apex legends. I would like to think this is a resolvable issue if I can set the right settings in the monitor, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Hello, I'm upgrading my workstation to 6 monitors and I need 3 more 27 inch monitors with DP outputs. These will only be displaying data and graphs. I'm in Canada and would love it if anyone could recommend anything for this purpose. Cheers!

I'm upgrading to a 6 monitor setup to improve data display for work purposes. (Real Estate Finance). I currently have a RTX 3070 and a 1080ti in my system and 3 monitors (LG 27GL83A-B 27-Inch & 2 complete POS 27 inch monitors). The LG is connected to the 3070 and the other 2 are connected via HDMI & DVI to the 1080ti. By my count even with the GPU's I have, there is 3 DP + HDMI on the 3070 and 3 DP + HDMI + DVI on the 1080ti. I do have access to other 3000 series cards that I can use if the 1080ti isn't good enough for this purpose. Would I have any issues if I bought 3 monitors with DP connectors and plugging those in to get to 6 working displays?

Pretty new to monitors and just got a good deal on an Acer Nitro VG240Y SBMIIPX 165Hz display and have been using it for about two weeks now along side my old HP EliteDisplay E232 60Hz. While the higher refresh rate on the acer is really nice, I can't seem to understand why the HP is giving out a sharper image while gaming or even jus watching videos. From my understanding they are both 1080p IPS panels.

As seen in the video below. ASUS 4K miniLED 144hz (144-120hz and no 2.1 port for 3k USD??) The new monitors can offer a lot of great stuff, depending on what you are going to use it for. Sadly it's not quite perfect yet, and something I would agree with that these dimming zones I would rather go without until it's improved. Some visual problems, but has some of the better HDR experiences and hopefully long life time compared to the OLED experience. Also there can be some noise from active cooling. Not the best on the ufo test, having some smearing, else the 1400 nits of brightness and enough HZ for a decent or good HDR experience in single player or shooting games, less about competitive games.

Hi! So I used to have a problem with my PC where I can not wake it from power saving mode by clicking on the keyboard or mouse. I recently exchanged my pc enclosure and this problem persisted and additionally when I turn on my PC the monitors do not detect an input. When I however shut down the PC by holding the power button for a few seconds and then boot it up again, the monitors detect a source and everything is fine. I would rather not keep doing this method everytime I turn on or wake up my PC. What I have done until now: I uninstalled my graphics driver and tried booting. Problem remains. I checked the power connector on the motherboard as well as checked for other cables not being plugged in all the way. My specs: MB: b450m a pro max CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: GTX 1080 Any suggestion for what I can try?

I have a client who is having this issue. The computer is running windows 10. When the computer wakes up after going to sleep, all windows (browser etc.) that were on his second monitor, jump over to his first monitor as if his second monitor did not turn on. This only started when he got new monitors. The monitors have HDMI ports, and his Desktop has two Display ports. He is using cables that go from HDMI to DP. The computer is an HP ProDesk 600 G4 MT and the monitors are Asus VS247 All of my research on this issue shows that this has been a recurring issue since at least Windows 7. I have found threads and discussion of this issue since at least 2015 (including on this forum last year). It appears to be an issue tied to Display Port, and the best solution that I've seen is to not use Display Port. This computer only has DP so that's not an option. I'd also like to avoid editing the registry. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be a resolution for this?

While playing Dota today, a thought crossed my mind "this would feel a lot better to play on an 1:1 monitor". In top down games threat can come from any point on the screen so it doesn't make a lot of sence to limit your vertical feild of view which is exactly what modern widecreen monitors do. Feeling exited I started googling 1:1 monitors but was let down upon realizing that there's basicaly only one company (Eizo) making monitors in this format and that they are expensive as hell. Surely im not the only one who likes an idea of a 1:1 monitor. Are there any alternatives to these overprices things out there?

Does anybody know any good monitors for under 100 USD?

Good evening! I’m coming to the tech people to ask if my Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti would be able to run dual ASUS ProArt PA278QV monitors at 1440p resolution and at about 65 to 70 hz. Unfortunately, I don’t really have the resources to test this before purchasing, so I’m relying on you guys!!

I have a lower tier that pc that is running an i5-3470 and an msi gt 1030 lp oc. I recently put the gpu in the rig and when I did that on the first boot both my monitors worked, but every other time I boot it after that my second monitor wont show a screen. I have tried to plug it into vga, and hdmi from multiple sources on my gpu and my motherboard but it will not show an image. I am led to belive that this is a software/driver issue because when I boot the pc without the gpu in the monitor works just fine, and it works when I boot it with the gpu the first time, but other than that it will not show an image. I have looked into the windows display options and windows does see the moniotor but I can't figure out why it won't boot. Monitor 1: HP Z24i Monitor 2 (The one that wont work): Dell E22WFPc
