I have always though I used palm grip but I looked at some pics on google that confuses me. https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-types-of-mouse-grip-styles around half of my palm is touching the mouse so it looked like the image to the left. However I do not click using the whole finger instead only the tips of it, but grip style seemed to use a lot less palm area than me. So which one do I use? Im confused and is just wondering.

Ergonomic. Gaming! Wireless!?!? These are the words that need to describe my next mouse (though, I could do without wireless, I'd prefer it). I have borderline carpal tunnel (my doctor said take Ibuprofen indefinitely and don't use my hands, which is impossible), and I need an easy mouse to use. I'd also like something with a respectable response time, but I'm no competitive player. I'd be happy with something that performs as well as a PS4 controller or a G602. I'd like lag to stay beneath 6 ms, but I doubt I'd be able to tell in a test. I've looked at the following mice considerably (in no particular order): Logitech G403/603/703 (same model, I tried the 603 and I think it was a little tall) Logitech G602 (tried it, too big, and the flange on the left for "thumb support" is silly and reduces control) Logitech G903 (seems balanced) Logitech G502 (looks nice, wish it was wireless. I feel like I may end up with this one despite my desire for wireless, just based on public opinion) Logitech MX Master Mouse (apparently ergonomic, but it seems big like the G602) Cougar Revenger S (though it's not wireless, it seems to have a nice grip and would be worth trying) Corsair Dark Core (seems to have good ergo) Anker vertical mice (lol, just considered the prospect) Related Information/Requirements: Hand size: 4.5 in (11.43 cm) wide by 7 in (17.78 cm) long Recommended mouse size (60%, according to the resident mouse thread): 2.7 in (6.858 cm) wide by 4.2 in (10.668 cm) long Auxiliary buttons: At least two. I don't need an MMO mouse and I'm not the Macro King. Using a steelseries QcK mousepad Would prefer optical sensors Removable or rechargeable batteries are fine (removable batteries seem more convenient, rechargeable seem potentially lighter) I'm pretty fluid on budget, but my keyboard is $80 and I'd like to stay at or below that. I think going over $100 is silly, and I'd only buy mice like the G903 on sale. On the topic of wired vs. wireless mice, I feel that the wire of a wired mouse might be annoying hitting a wood panel on my desk while in use. Let me know you opinion on this. Pictures of the desk and aforementioned wood panel are included. Which mouse do you like most from my list? What points am I not considering? If you picked your mouse for the same reasons I'm trying to pick mine, why did you choose yours? What should I look at next? Let me know below.

So my little brother needs a new mouse because his old one was some random $5 mouse from best buy and just died. So he's looking for a new mouse and wants it to be wireless because he uses a laptop and doesn't like wire clutter. Does anyone know what is the best wireless mouse for under $20. PS I've already seen linus' $15 mouse roundup but only one or two were wireless and I want it to be wireless. Someone help.

I'm using the Roccat Tyon right now and the mouse is fine but I want to upgrade it and I can't decide between the three named in the title. I'm thinking of buying the: Roccat Kone AIMO because 2 of my friends own it, because of the ergonomic design, ofc the RGB lightning, because I already own a Roccat and because of the thumb tray. Corsair Glaive RGB because of the ICue software(RGB) (i could sync it with my future keyboard, the corsair k95 platinum, and my corsair fans and ram) and because of the thumb tray. SteelSeries Rival 600 because it is rated as the "best gaming mouse 2018" from many people, because of the design, the RGB lightning the weight system and the 2 sensors(normal + depth). They all cost around 60-80 bucks so the price is not the problem Important: I mainly play FPS games( like Rainbow Six) so they should be ergonomic, have RGB lightning + I sometimes play 15 hrs a day (don't worry not often) so they should have very nice comfort. Second Grip I use(Tyon): Main grip I use(Tyon): Thank you I like my drawing skills too Plz no other suggestions like Logitech or Razer PS: sorry for bad English (plz correct me if I made mistakes)

My friend just messaged me saying her Roccat Kiro's mouse wheel is no longer scrolling in any direction, after trying to do a bunch of stuff like unplugging it, rebooting the system, trying the mouse on a different computer, she's at the point where she wants to take it apart, but doesn't know how. Give some help to me so I can help her out since she wants to play Arma 3 and needs the mouse wheel to do it please.

Well my corsair scimitar started to peel from the back (the lowest part even when it has barely 2 or 3 months of light use) so I contacted corsair and they just said that that should be due use. So even when it is a clear place where the hands make no contact they refuse to help me so I just decided to make it complete different and my own, with my logo and my favorite color (white) and will fit with my WIP build (white/black/alluminum with a touch of blue) Nothign special, all is done with 3m 1080 white matte and blue vinyl wrapp.

Hello all, My Deathadder Chroma is pretty beat up (both rubber pads have fallen off) and I feel as though I need an upgrade now. I'm looking for a mouse that's at least as good as if not better than the Deathadder Chroma. I'm mainly playing CS:GO and other shooters like Overwatch and Battlefield 1. I don't mind paying a bit extra for a good mouse, but I prefer to keep the spending to a minimal unless it's worth the additional €. For the mouse i'd prefer it there wasn't any impractical buttons on the mouse (A scroll wheel and the side buttons is enough for me.) I've been looking at the Logitech and Razer mice but I'm open to suggestions.

Hello everyone, The question has been raised plenty of times in the past, but as time goes on, so do products. My gaming setup is in the living room, because I'm 31 and my girlfriend appreciates me being in the same room for most of the evening. The audible clicks produced by my R.A.T. 7 are a constant source of frustration, giving me the evil eye, turning up the TV to high volume, discussions, etc. I've even resorted using my trusty crusty (leaky battery) old Logitech Performance MX Darkfield as a backup. I've spent some time googling silent mice but most highly praised silent mice are not produced or sold anymore. What I'm looking for is a current-gen mouse with a (near) silent left and right mouse button, preferably right-handed and two thumb buttons. Opinions about the quietness are appreciated, but DBa values tell the truth. I've seen youtube video's about modding the clicker in mice but that stuff is just too small for my sausage fingers, and i'd rather not break my R.A.T.7, even though that'd please my girlfriend greatly.

I love the feel and shape of the DeathAdder, but after my last one had its middle click fail after less than 6 months of use (and previous ones within about a year), I just can't justify getting another one anymore. Click sensor durability is something that doesn't come up often in reviews and comparisons, so I could really use some input on what mice on the market actually have middle click sensors that will last a long time under heavy use.

Ok, i recently got my Razer keyboard, now all i need is a mouse, currently i have a belkin (forgot code), its a cool non gaming mouse, fits my hand perfectly, and i like the shape, however when i play fortnite my palms get sweaty(no moms spaghetti) and i shoot like crap in fortnite, the feet suck for it, and i have a budget of 20KWD($66.74) i said this before and ill say it again, normally this wouldnt be an issue, however i live in the middle east, and to ship from amazon to here would cost alot more, so i will be lising a bunch of mice and tell me which one is best and why (id like to say i dont want esports performance, just good enough to kick mega ass) (THE MOUSE HAS TO HAVE PROGRAMMABLE BUTTONS) (an optical senor would be nice as i heard laser suck) MICE LIST OZONE 3K APPLE MAGIC MOUSE COOLERMASTER MASTERMOUSE PRO L MSI INTERCEPTIOR DS200 PNY RIOT 01 MSI INTERCEPTOR DS300 LOGITECH G602 THERMALTAKE VENTUS LOGITECH G402 CORSAIR SABRE BENQ ZOWIE ZA11 (if it doesnt have programmable buttons forget it) LOGITECH M90 HYPERX PULSEFIRE GENIUS MOUSE DX 120 thats it, also for the mousepad, ima get a random one thats big, soo idc bout it Thanks! P.S the apple mouse, logitech m90 and genius mouse dx120 are all jokes EDIT: Please do not recommend me any mice outside this list, only the ones in my list, i will accept any outside my list, ONLY if its from these 3 sites: http://www.quadrastores.com https://www.xcite.com https://www.blink.com.kw

Hello guys! So recently I've found out that there is high-pitched sound comming from my mouse lazer(LED detector) when moving it. When it stays still, however, there is fizzing sound. I've found posts where people say it's a speaker problem, tho while listening very close I can clearly say it's comming from the mouse itself. I've tried to change the USB port to different one, no change at all. Is the mouse supposed to make that sound?

Long story short, what would everybody recommend I buy as my new keyboard and mouse? I currently use a Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 (Yellow) with a Razer Deathadder Elite. I have been looking at the Logitech G903 with the PowerPlay, but can't find a matching keyboard, as the G910 Orion Spectrum sounds pretty bad compared to the rest of the keyboard market. The same is true for the Corsair K95, being the best keyboard I can find, but the matching mice do not appeal to me. Any help is appreciated.

This thread is an active, in progress review of my new Logitech G600 & will be edited as updates arise over time. Day 1: So far it's working fine on my small, free, multi-colored cloth mouse mat. I haven't experienced any tracking issues, even did a circle & line drawing test between this & my G100s, no difference that I can see. While we're on the subject of consistency though, here's an odd one. Whether I turn the Windows setting Enhance Pointer Precision on or off it doesn't seem to effect anything. Maybe this is because it's a Laser mouse I don't know but there was always a noticeable improvement while having it checked on with all my past Optical mice. I've disabled the ring finger click for now until I get more used to the design because I kept accidentally hitting it when moving the mouse to the left. Aside from that though there's only one other issue so far, right out of the box there was a small scratch on the back piano finished surface of the mouse. I can't feel it with my finger or hand, only finger nail if I glide it across multiple times & just barely at that. I've already told Logitech about it in a Contact forum I submitted asking other questions as well but made it clear I don't want a replacement. Oh & while typing this I noticed the mouse makes a scraping sound when I lift it unevenly on my mouse pad. I guess it's just the edge/side texture of the mouse gliding across my mouse pad, hopefully this wont sound even louder if I go with a hard pad in the future. Scratch Pic: Day 2: I've had to reduce the DPI from 300 & 1300 to 200 & 1200 respectively, I had heard that laser mice have built in acceleration but this is the first time I've witnessed it. Also scroll wheel tilt, G7 & the ringer finger buttons are disabled for now until I find a use for them. Week 2: I'm sorry I intend to do a one week later review but I got distracted by other things & just how well this mouse is working out for me. I've yet to have any accuracy issues despite it being laser on a generic cloth pad. Even after a long Double XP Weekend of playing RuneScape for 10 hours a day consisting of constant clicking, the mouse still functions like new. Over A Month Later: So far still no issues, I think I'm past the breaking in point as now all 3 primary buttons sound the same. After the 2 week mark I could hear a noticeable difference between left & the right & ring finger. It & the feel is all the same now though but I'm wondering how long it's gonna take me to get used to using all these side buttons. So far I've only made use of 3-5 regularly, hopefully the rest wont prove to be a waste in the long run as there aren't any mice in-between this amount & just the normal back & forward buttons. 4 Months Later: My Logitech G600 is still working fine, I have experienced a few potential misclicks but I couldn't replicate them. So that could just be a separate issue with whatever I was doing because it usually only happened when I was multi-tasking with multiple windows up, side by side maneuvering between them all.

Hello I'm thinking of buying the g502 and am now stuck with the choice of the mousepad. I'm leaning towards cloth ones and my top choices right now are the qck+ limted and the razer goliathus control large. Can you help narrow it down or even give suggestions so as to change something in this. Primary use will be low dpi gaming (fps and otherwise). Thanks

I am having a time trying to find a PS/2 Laser mouse. I like the idea of it interrupting my CPU instead of the usb variant constantly being checked on by it. I would like to game with it. I also don't want a ball underneath that requires cleaning. Thanks in advance for any good leads!

First post, long time lurker and first time poster and I'll try to keep it short. Long story below in spoiler. TLDR; Mionix Castor broken, need to find replacement which is exactly like it. Cannot be Mionix since my trust in them is ruined after two mice(?) of the same make/model has had issues. Sorry for bad England, non-native speaker here.

Hello LTT forums! My "office/home grade" mouse has recently expired and unfortunately does not perform sufficiently for my daily gaming activity. As I am undoubtedly an avid gamer I need a mouse that will last me a while (At least 2+ years) I have had the G502 Series and Razer Deathadder line-up recommended to me but I am leaning more towards the Steel Series Rival mice as they seem to have very good price-performance and rave reviews. What do you think? Which is the best all-rounder for performance, cost, and longevity. Please let me know! You know what else is a all-rounder in performance? That's right! Tunnel bear!

Shopping for a mouse is very simple. You find a mouse that suits your budget and personal preferences. But why there are so many mice out there with Laser and Optical sensor? High Dpi? and use different Optical or Laser sensor such as PMW3310/3360/S9800? And why there's gaming mouse anyway? Can we just buy a regular mouse and use it for everything? For casual gaming you might be fine with it but if you're a serious gamer. Especially competitive player, Then you will need a gaming mouse. Why? Because the sensor you found on general optical mouse won't be able to keep up with your hand movement and will fail you in the end. Many professional FPS player can move their hand at around 2-3m/s and because of this they need a sensor that can keep up with their speed and these sensors are usually found in gaming mice. That being said doesn't mean you won't need a gaming mouse if you are just a casual gamer. Having a great sensor and features such as tons of buttons for macros or MMO is nice to have. Contents : 1.General Terms 2.Optical Vs Laser Sensor 3.Mouse Dpi/Cpi 4.What Makes a Good Gaming Mouse? 5.Popular Gaming Mice Sensor (pros and cons of each sensor) 6.What To Look And What To Ignore? 7.Mice Recommendation Before we begin I must remind you that there's no such things as a perfect mouse. Because everyone has their own preferences. You don't always have to buy the best mouse. It may have the best sensor, the best build quality and the best feature but what if it doesn't suit your hand or grip style? You'll end up feeling uncomfortable when you use it for a long periods of time. That's why people tend to find a mouse that is perfect for their hand and grip style. They often sacrifice sensor performance and features but only as long as the sensor is good enough for their needs. But again, everyone is different! Some people might prefer performance over comfort and vice versa. So a good mouse is a mouse that will suit your budget, your hand and general preferences. You don't always have to buy the best mouse. And I apologize if there's any grammatical mistakes because English is not my primary language. And if somehow there are some mistakes in this thread then please correct me and I will update the thread because I am no expert and people make mistakes. 1.General Terms 2.Laser Vs Optical 3.Dpi/Cpi 4.What Makes a Good Gaming Mouse? 5.Popular Gaming Mice Sensor (Pros and cons) 6.What To Look and What To Ignore? 7.Mice Recommendation There you have it. Feel free to ask me anything about this guide and if if happen to miss something, Let me know! I am Etna and thank you for...uhhhh Reading my Guide i guess? Yep.

Hello, I'm looking for a lightweight gaming mouse and open to suggestions. Currently I'm using a Logitech g402 - it does it job, just feels heavy doing 180° or 360°. I usually use a palm grip when gaming. Budget can be anything up to $150. Thanks!

After 1 year of use, my mouse is showing its wear, I need to get a new one before one of its buttons completely gives in. I use the Logitech Trackman Marble, a trackball mouse that I have used for many years, but seen that the more recent models are not as durable. So I am in the market for a mouse that meets comfort and durability standards. As I work part time, I know if a mouse is too expensive when it costs me almost my paycheck (example being a mouse on my wish list). I can use optical and trackball mice equally, but I use trackball to drastically reduce fatigue and injury risk in the arm and wrist. I may order one within a week, so I'm up for some more research in between gaming and homework. Considerations:

I was wondering which mice is better as both are pretty similar. Note: I do not mind the supposed uncomfortableness with the Ouroboros, I'm a finger tip gripper so it doesn't really affect me. Although the g903 can be charged using the Power Play mousepad, I probably won't use it that often so it is purely down to how good the mice are. Also, I've checked online and apparently, there are some issues with the wireless of the Ouroboros? Some other people said that the rechargeable battery is really bad. Are these claims true? Thanks
