Hello, i signed up after watching scrapyard wars. My favourite season is season 2, where the contestant really had to use their wits and knowledge to solve the challanges. Season three became a tad to much and i really like how you made two teams in season four to solve the issue. I got really turned off during season three. All the contestants with their struggles are exciting and interesting to watch. I just dislike the fact that all PCs that qualified for the best valued gaming PC had so many issues during benchmarking. A contest over the best valued gaming PC with unlimited budget should at least be stable. I hope you add rule about stability in the future with some more time to the contestants. A stability rule will make the free stuff more of a high risk, high reward tactic. A builder will never be satisfied with an unstable creation. I really look forward to see what the rest of season four have to offer, the focus on design is brillant. Peace out!

Ridska here , Today i want to talk about the fact that i have a small beef with Linus or the big head hancho himself. Now just to be clear , I dont hate linus nor dispise him , In fact i like him and currently do and like his past content. Yes i said it, My beef with linus is his lately new contents that have been coming out of the linus media group pipe. It seems like he is running out of ideas for new content to be produced. For crying out loud Linus , You brought back and old segment . wich leads me to this. My beef is that he has some products in the LTT mail room ( Like the AIAIAI TMA-2 modular headphone *cough* *cough* ) that are yet to be reviewed. wich lead me to this , I love linius and his content ( no homo doe ) but if this keeps up , I might just get pale from watching more videos from him and the LTT group. Thanks and stay groovie , All hail Linus. @LinusTech

Greetings, There's been a lot of talk about the ability to overclock all of Intel's new Skylake CPUs - including non-k models - with base-clock overclocking on all compatible motherboards after a BIOS update (notably, Z170 chipset motherboards from major manufacturers or any LGA 1151 motherboard from Super Micro. I was wondering if you guys at LMG (@LinusTech and @Slick in particular) intended to cover this in a future video. I could be wrong, but it's a development that could mean a lot for the PC community that LMG addresses in most of their videos- a return to former Intel CPU generations where a little tweaking could mean far greater performance at lower prices. Regards, Aereldor.

Hi, My name's Alphaem. No, it's not Alpheem-- it's Alphaem. If you want to pronounce it right, try it like this: Alphum. But, that's not what I'm here for. I'm here to talk about building my own PC. It's always been a dream of mine to be able to build my own PC, and now, I want to do it. So, I need suggestions. I need what parts and components would be awesome for a good, low budget gaming PC. I would prefer an AMD 3.0GHz or above build with 8GB of RAM, with a 2GB graphics card of sorts. Basically, I wanna be able to play Fallout 4. Also, if possible, I would love to have it between $500 and $600 dollars. Oh, and thanks for looking at this entry and MAYBE even giving me some suggestions. -Alphaem

Still, to this day, way too many cards come without a backplate. To be quite honest, it's a disgrace. And at this point, the power is in the hand of the community. Am I the only one who'd appreciate such a tutorial? Cause I can't seem to find a single guide on how to make one yourself.

Hello LTT forums! My first post after having been subscribed to the LTT community for a little while now. I've always been a huge gamer, and over the last two years and I have almost always used consoles (N64, Xbox 360, PS2, etc) until my Xbox One was stolen from my home (along with many other things) and I had to switch to using my computer for my gaming needs. My first computer was hardly a gaming rig, I had an old dell desktop that I managed to add an old Ice-Q AMD HD 4570, and it served my purposes for a while, but after I started getting into serious pc gaming, it did not pass muster. Luckily my roommate at the time was computer savvy, and he helped me build a great rig that held me for over two years. I've since upgraded the CPU, Graphics Card, and Power Supply after having spent months watching videos on Linus' channel and weeks reading through the forums here. You all have had a lot of very useful information that I've taken into my mind, and it has helped me help others by picking components and building six different personal computers for friends and co-workers alike! From utilitarian no nonsense working rigs to high speed gaming rigs at an affordable price point, I've built them all and they all love the work I've done. They thank me for my hard work and dedication in doing the research necessary to make their computers perform the best possible at prices they could afford. With that in mind I thought I would take a moment and give thanks and props to you all for your reviews, write-ups, and sample builds. I went from not knowing the difference between AMD and Intel CPUs to where i am today: a more than competent shopper and builder. I owe you all and Linus and his staff a debt of gratitude for helping me not only help myself but friends and family. Thank you guys!

Hey guys, so ive been rocking my laptop from HS for a couple of years now that has AMD A6 // 4 gb RAM very basic and well really bad now. Ive got a good job now so im looking to build my own PC for my needs, i really only play League Of Legends, CSGO but id like some room to be able to play some steam games like that ARK Surivial dinosaur game and some MMOS. My main concern is also that im getting into cinematography so im going to be doing video editing. Aside from that i also do a good amount of photoshop and lightroom work from time to time. Id like to stay under 2k with the the other stuff like the OS, Monitor (dual monitor if possible with set up or at least have the option to upgrade something later to be able to do it) etc. Im not too crazy about 4k. Id like to stay with an i5/i7 tho, im not to familiar with AMD Processors & graphic cards. Any list/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Everyone! I'm new, but I just wanted to compliment the moderators, and those who are active in the Linus Tech Tips forums and community. I put together a parts list and posted it on reddit at r/buildapc, and two hours later my post had no replies and no upvotes. I joined this community made this post and within 30 minutes had many people responding and giving me quality advice. I just think that deserves some recognition! You people are an awesome community! Thanks for the help, and now I know where to look when I have further questions on my build, Thank you! B)

I've heard about reviewers getting 980tis recently and was curious if the Linus dynasty has received one and if you guys are in the process of filming the review. If anything I really wish that Jen-Hsun Huang would hurry up and give the green light to release these beasts even if they're in fact slightly cut down Titan Xs (as they should be tbh given the price point)

So as you may already know, Paul Walker, most known for his role in the Fast and Furious series passed away during the making of Fast 7. Apparently a lookalike of Walker was found, then his face was edited to look more like Walker. (which they did a good job on) So here comes my question. Does anyone think that Slick (Luke) looks like Paul Walker? Also if someone could find me the name of the lookalike who played as Walker I would appreciate that.

I'm trying to decide on a bay resivoir for a Corsair Air 540 Case. I think I need a bay res based on the style of the case. I've researched some options and now bringing the final opinion to the forums. From what i've found from different ones like XPSC (Heard they leak a lot) and otherones like Darkside from Canada (Fairly Unheard of brand), PrimoChill (Saw some bad reviews on NCIX), EK Bay Res (Good brand name but dont know if this bay res is any good), The best one i've come across in my opionon is the Koolance RP-452x2 Rev 2.0 with Dual D5. It seems to have the best setup options, looks pretty bad ass (i hate the simple ugly clear acrylic box look), but being new to the idea of water cooling over air cooling (My usual has always been air for over 15 years) i'm not sure what options would be best in a family use computer that is constantly going all day and night with work and games. Any suggestions with facts to help me decide would be helpful. I love LTT channel but he doesn't go over much on water cooling resovoirs, or bay style res as those aren't very popular. I'm looking for somthing that accepts LED, something that matches the dark grey Corsair 540 Air case. The case is set into my desk rack mount on it's side. Also if possible i'd like to have a bay res that accepts dual D5 pumps, but I might be getting limited in options. I know the Darkside also has a Dual D5 bay res option next to Koolance, but then again, not sure of their quality. Are their any brands that i'm missing that I should be researching? This system will have to last me 3 or more years or so as well. so i'm probably within that timeframe going to be adding a 2nd or 3rd GTX 980 over the years so maybe that has some weight on what res to use? I doubt it but I don't know enough yet, i'm still learning.
