Hello, sorry, as a new user, my first thread is an issue that I am having. I know, I feel horrible! My Pc isn't a beast, but I managed to buy it during the pandemic. I have an R5 3600 with a 1050TI (I couldn't buy a new GPU because prices where so high, so i decided to stick around with my old 1050TI), RAM 16GB 3200Mhz, and a 720p Monitor! My problem is that Today I installed Project Cars and it didn't run well even on the lowest setting. I thought it was bad Optimization because I can run Days gone on Ultra so I just uninstalled it and decided to play CARX. Same issue. I used to run this game on 60FPS maxed out and today I can't even play it on the lowest without dropping to 15 - 20 FPS. I've tried Days gone too and it's unplayable now. Checked the usage of my GPU and it's too low. For a game like Days gone, considering my rig, I should have atleast a 95% usage on my GPU. On both CARX and DG, CPU usage was at 100% and GPU would go around 20 - 30 everytime. I've tried to use the NVIDIA Control Panel to force my GPU as the primary device but there is no setting like that in my panel, same thing when i Right click a game. When I use Blender with Cycles, I can use my GPU and luckily it runs well as I can directly choose via blender what device I want to use. I've also updated my Drivers, reboot my PC and let it cool down, playing on the lowest graphic, updating windows etc. I'd like to format the computer but I have some files that are huge for my Internet speed to do a backup somewhere because I am on 4G, I don't have a wifi. I don't know what could be the cause becuase I've been on Blender for two weeks without touching windows settings or my GPU settings, so no gaming for me aside from this bad day.

Whenever my monitor doesn't receive any video signal, its backlight starts flickering at regular intervals, but very slowly (about once every 4 seconds ?). It's as if it was trying to turn on to check for a video signal but instantly turn off one frame after. Thing is, it still functions completely fine when I feed it video signal, so I'm really lost, cuz it doesn't seem to be a straightforward hardware defect, it's more like a firmware bug ? I don't really know what's happening or what caused it, my only clue is the recent power outages I've had (about 3 in the last two weeks), but I would be surprised that this one monitor is the only thing that got damaged by it. I've also heard it could be due to the age of my monitor, but I highly doubt that an aging display would break down like this, cuz as I've said, it still works great when receiving video input. I can live with it, it's just annoying to have to unplug it and replug it whenever I wanna put my PC to sleep and back, though I wouldn't mind finding a solution. So if any of you more knowledgeable folks know what could be happening or have experienced it before, I'm all ears. Also if you need more info on my setup please ask away for the info that could help you figure out the problem. Thanks a bunch !

Current Build- MSI MPG X570 gaming plus, rtx 3070ti ftw3, r75800x, psu- rm850x, vengeance 32 gb 3600 mhz. Hey, so recently I built a pc and 2 months into it, i started to loose video . Few seconds after loosing video, I hear the windows 11 default disconnecting sound and the only way to deal with it is to restart the pc. My first reaction was that its a gpu or graphics driver issue so i did the ddu installer and even switched out the gpu. The issue still persisted so someone recommended to switch out the ram, I switched it out with an old vengeance 3200mhz 16 gb and two days leather the same issue appeared again. I have done a stress test on cinebench and it was fine so i know its not the cpu. The only options that remain are the psu or the mobo itself. Anybody have this happen to them before?? Any help will be appreciated because at this point I am at my wits end.

Hello, Reently i built my pc that has a RTX 2060 I5 10400F and 16gb of ram and i know that the 2060 is not a top tier rtx on the market right now but it's not low end however once i played some games i noticed that all the games i tested so far ( GTA V, Beamng, Cities Skylines) no matter howhigh i crank the settings up i see shadows and LOD's popping out literaly 20 meters infront of me which is just funny for the hardware that i have. In GTA for example, i can see cars just appearing out of nowhere, trash antialiasing, shadows loading infront of me, road signs popping out of nowhere as well and all that with the settings on ultra, extremely frustraing. I will attach 2 videos from Beamng drive as an example with all the settings on ultra and just judge it yourself, is it a problem with my hardware? i think it's pretty good to handle AAA games and not only?

Hi all! I am Rob and I repair consoles and PCs here in Spain. So a friend brought over his PC to replace the thermal paste on his CPU. His build was build very messy, no cable management at all. So after doing some cable management I changed his thermal compound and reassembled his rig. I connected everything reinstalled the GPU and gave the PC a test. This message popped up: Please Power down and connect the PCIe power cable for this Graphics card. Tested the GPU in my rig and it is not working there either. I took it apart and there nothing visibly wrong with it. I connected the power cable to the GPU. And everything is connected on the Motherboard. The PC boots into windows with the integrated graphics if I take the GPU out. Specs: Motherboard: MSI Z170A pc mate CPU: inter core i7 PSU: 650W Corsair VS GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 windforce oc 6Gb Ram: 16gb DDR4 Thermal compound: mx4 non conductive. What am I missing?

Hello people I got Gears 5 from the Microsoft Store and just today when I opened the game like I normally do I got this window I've never seen before looking for game updates. The window says that the status of the update is "Completed" but it does not go beyond that, if I close the window and run the game again... the same window appears again... like a loop. I even reinstalled the game, but I only get this window. I leave the link of the video where you can see what happens. LINK: Any comment that could help is welcome. Thank you.

Hello, I have a new build with a PCIE SSD for OS and a HDD for storage. My problem is that the HDD doesn't show up in the BIOS at all. I have tried changing to legacy mode, didn't work. Tried enabling CSM, didn't work. Tried RAID, or more like I wanted to try, but couldn't find it at all in the BIOS no matter where I looked, so that didn't really work either. I have been struggling with this issue for hours and can't figure out a way to fix it. All the guides/solutions I have found either don't work either they have a different BIOS and different options (Like the RAID which is nowhere to be seen on my side). ---------- Specs: Motherboard : Asus PRIME Z590-P CPU : Intel Core i7-11700K 11th Gen Graphics Card : Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 SSD (OS) : Crucial P2 NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 - 500Gb HDD : Western Digital Blue SATA - 2Tb

Hello, so I just got the new LEGO Star Wars game and I noticed that some of the particle effects look odd, almost like a fabric texture or an etched pattern. I've noticed this in other games like the Witcher 3. I was just wondering if anyone knows what the cause of this is? The thing I'm talking about specifically is the marker in the center of the screen. If you zoom in, you can clearly see that the particle effect looks a little wonky. I'm using an RX 5700 and an R5 2600 with 16GB of RAM. Driver version is 22.3.1, but this issue has been around for years but I never looked into it.

Recently noticed that a large portion of my gaming library which were previously running excellent are now virtually unplayable. Warzone , Horizon Zero Dawn etc were running at max resolution , max settings and running 60-70+fps consistently. Consistently getting 2250 points in Heavens 4 benchmark software. Several other games would detect and default to higher or ultra settings , which they still do even now but the performance of the above mentioned games is terrible , warzone is stuttering in the main menu , running at 1-5 fps in matches. Horizon runs at 20 fps when set to lowest settings but even then the lighting and textures look like 2005. All is still repeated on full game and driver reinstalls. I have noticed that some games seem entirely unaffected such as frostpunk , that runs at the same quality/fps as before While running Heavens 4 benchmark software again I am still getting about the same score, any idea what the cause is? The only change that i can think of is moving from (1 SSD and 1 HDD as different volumes) to (2 SSD as shared volume) for the main game library, but the issue persists when running off the main boot drive which separate I have included the system specs output from Speccy for more details on the hardware Any assistance to even start trying t figure out the problem would be greatly appreciated. system_specs-detailed.txt

Hi, I recently had this issue where in any audio played (usually videos online and offline) there would be audio micro-stuttering (persisting after clean install, transitioned from windows 10 to windows 11 and still the same issue), The issue happens once in a while but is noticeable enough to cause alarm and would like to figure out what is the cause of it and how to fix it. Audio gets stuck for a split second (usually the same sound is heard for that split second), it feels unsettling but nothing too huge and it is hard to describe exactly how it sounds like other than that it's the same type of sound regardless of audio played. I do not know if I noticed it in games since I do not play much, however I recall hearing it also in a specific game, on my previous windows installation (specifically on Overcooked 2 while moving the platforms with the virtual joystick inside the game level if you are familiar), other games I did not notice the effect. I recently downloaded the Realtek Drivers from Asus (which comes with an audio console software) and I still notice the issue. (Specs can be found on profile, except currently windows 11 are installed) I have installed all the latest and recommended drivers from the Asus and Nvidia websites. Thanks in advance.

Thought I would simply link to the post about this problem here since no one has yet replied to my post on the MSI forum. https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/unusually-low-audio-after-updating-realtek-audio-driver.373923/ Now, I know I chose the category of "Operating Systems", but I guess in a way it makes sense since I use Windows 11 & am not really a Mac or Linux user etc. But as far as I can tell, I don't think this is a Windows-related issue, although I have been wrong before. Anyway, if you need more details or wish to ask me anything, please do so & I'll get back with you! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Hi all I have this really weird issue, which happend to my build after approx 2 years of flawless use. The chronology: My PC wouldnt boot and the VGA-Lamp on the mainboard will just stay white and the fans kept spinning. Some friends recommended to get a new PSU, which I did, but didn't change anything. So I took it to a friends house, to swap GPU's and see if that's the problem - but there it worked perfectly.. (what I have not realised at that time is that we used HDMI instead of DP like at my home) So back home it did not work again... When realising we used HDMI at my friends house, i tried it - and see there: IT WORKS! .. the cable has to be plugged into the monitor, if i just leave it hanging there wont work. After green lights up on the mainboard it is fine to remove the HDMI and continue with DP output. Setup: PSU: Corsair RM1000x Mainboard: ASUS Z390-A CPU: i7-9700K GPU: GIGABYTE RTX 2080 Windforce OC 8GB RAM: 32GB Many thanks in advance! Kind regards, dova999

My computer has lately started acting up, where the display will ocasionally and seemingly at random flash to black for a moment. This can be anywhere from a split second to half a minute. Interestingly enough, this never occurs while a fullscreen game is running, only when I'm browsing the desktop or running something else that's windowed. (It also doesn't occur in windowed borderless.) Upon the display returning, everything that was previously rendered breaks. For example, if I'm watching a youtube upload of a song (Where the "video" is a still image), it will become transparent and display whatever was on screen before switching to that tab. Another example is that my online math course contains elements which load in based on time, and the elements that loaded in before the black flash would disappear, and then re-appear if I started again from the beginning. Audio ocasionally freezes during these black flashes, but not always. They have never resulted in a crash. My GPU (1660S) is not overclocked, and this computer is only a year old. It has good airflow, very little dust, and the temperature and load of the GPU does not spike during or before these sudden flashes, and there is seemingly no cause for them. I've run several virus scans from different software, all of which has come up clean. My computer has no other erratic behavior like this. I apologize for the lack of information, but I am just as clueless as to the cause as it appears. Any help is greatly appreciated. It's not a terminal issue (I can still very easily use the system like normal) but it is annoying, and I would like to know the cause and fix if there is one. I have a GTX 1660 Super, running on the latest drivers.

Hello everyone, My TV decided not to work anymore tonight after I tried to increase the brightness, it shut down on its own and is now stuck in a bootloop. It seems the brightness level has become to high for the one connect box to handle, so when the TV tries to set itself to the maximum brightness value, it draws too much power and it shuts down. Video showing the issue : https://youtu.be/zE6Gm1uGZOA I paid $2000 for this TV only 2.5 years ago and it is already broken... I'm really annoyed, I expect this kind of crap from low end TVs, not high end Samsung ones. I tried another power outlet, tried leaving the one connect box unplugged for one hour, but no luck... Do anyone have any idea how to solve this issue ? I thank you in advance for your help. Regards, Azsde.

Hi All, My PC Randomly has moments where I hear the windows device disconnect and reconnect sound but nothing happens. I have ran a USB Watcher and noticed that all devices discount for a second and reconnect. Although when gaming nothing changes. Still can move, shoot and hear. Any Ideas? My Build: AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT Zotac RTX3080 Ti Trinity 32GB LPX Corsair RAM 850w Gold Corsair PSU H100i CPU Cooler Couple SSD & a M.2 Could it be a faulty motherboard only considering that its only started happening or the PSU? GPu Spikes causing it? I have both 24pin and 8 Pin into the Motherboard before you ask. Thankss

Hi all, I hope this is not a duplicate post - I tried a search but couldn't find anything that matched my issue. A bit of context: I'm running an aging i7-5820k setup, and recently managed to buy an Asus Strix 3080 to replace my Strix 1070. I had previously purchased an MSI Gaming Z 3080, but had to return this as it had severe connection/display dropping issues. Only the HDMI port did not have this issue, but instead had intense frame stuttering. Together with the MSI card I had upgraded from my PSU to an 850w RM850 from Corsair, to ensure that I have enough power. Today I got the new Strix 3080 and installed it and all seemed to be well. That was until I ran Unigine Heaven 4.0 and noticed the display issues returned. There was also some stuttering, however not as bad as the MSI card. I recorded this video to help me explain the issue at hand: Youtube video of the issue - I hope it is clear from the video that the screen periodically goes black for a brief moment, and that there's the occasional stutter. The card is running at stock settings and was only some 50-60 degrees Celsius at the time of recording. Here's an image I took of the result of the Heaven benchmark. The min. FPS of 9 screams at me that something isn't right: Unigine benchmark result Seeing as this is the 2nd card to exhibit the same issue, I'm starting to suspect other components in the PC of being the root cause. The thing is, I'm using the same cables, the same PCIe slot and same monitor as when I had the 1070 installed, and that card runs flawlessly. It is my hope that through the collective tech minds on this forum, we can find the root cause of my troubles. I would hate to have to stick to my 1070 until it's worth upgrading the rest of the PC. Regards, Rasmus M. J. Jakobsen

Hey yall, so I built myself a new PC. I7 9700K 9th Gen CPU, GTX 1060 GPU, H310M S2 2.0 motherboard, a 500 watt power supply, 16gb DDR4 ram running inside an ATX cabinet. Im facing a issue where my PC crashes every few minutes, depending on the load. Using basic editing software gets it crashing in 5 or so minutes and it crashes in 3 different ways- A complete freeze, complete crash or a blue dump. I have to run it on windows 8.1, it refuses to boot on windows 10. I think temps may be an issue, although I can't really be sure. Any issues or advice?
