Hello. Happy owner of NZXT H440 here, currently have a pretty quiet setup, but rather hot. Don't really know if i have a best cooler setup for it, seeking for the best solution. Current setup in the attachment, CPU in games sitting at 70-75 C, GPU is about the same, 68-75 C. DRP4 is capable (on papper) to handle up to 250W TDP, and cpu is barely hitting 100W, but still getting hot. Not quite sure if its normal. Thermal paste is MX-4. Yes i tried to re-do the application, no change. Case fans spinning ~700-1000 RPM CPU fans ~900 RPM GPU fans ~1200 RPM

So i'm wondering, i have a tight fit in my case between the gpu and psu cables, the cables that go to the gpu are crammed against the heat pipes of said gpu; i have an rx580, and a corsair vs550, will the gpu heat damage the cables? in long term perhaps? the gpu gets to about 80°C when i'm gaming on it. i have pictures but while uploading the forum errors out.

Help as stated above my laptop gets very hot to the touch when it charges or runs even the simplest of tasks. I want to open it up and see what is happening, however doing so will void the warranty and I don't want to break anything. All of my data is on my laptop (until I finish building my pc) and I do everything on it. I don't know what to do Here is my model: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-chromebook-11a-na0010nr

Budget (including currency): $1000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for Mostly web browsing. Possibly streaming lightweight Steam games like Stardew Valley or retro RPGs while using a 1080p webcam on Linux. Lower possibility of compressing some large videos I have in storage. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have been using an FX-4100 (95w TDP), RadeonHD 6670 (66w TDP), 16GB DDR3, system with two more recent 2.5" MX500 SSDs for years and years, so I'm way behind on tech. My monitor is also over a decade old, as is most of my tech in general. As the ambient temperatures around me have changed and web browsing and OS processing and RAM requirements increase, I've been bumping up against the problem of my room being baked by the PC's heat output and my too-many-tabs browsing habits causing problems. I want to bring myself up to modern standards/capabilities in terms of motherboard features (USB-C, NVMe, etc) while also reducing the heat/power problem that's making my living space uncomfortably hot. From my googling and skimming LTT videos, that seems possible, but I'm not at all sure how to go about it. I don't know (linux-specific) methods of reducing the heat a PC puts out (or if it differs from CPU to CPU or motherboard to motherboard), much less if there's more utility for me in attempting to do so rather than perhaps buying a lower TDP CPU or something. I might even be better off buying a laptop because of these goals, rather than getting a desktop and a lightweight UPS to give me stability if power flickers (as it often does recently). Probably the biggest limitation on my choices is that I want a machine that has 32GB of RAM, either out of the gate or through upgrading. I'd appreciate any guidance that can be given.

Hello, I have an Hp Pavilion 16 Gaming laptop. 10th Gen i5 10300h Gtx 1650 4 gb 16 gb DDR4 256gb m.2 1tb sata SSD Bios F.23 (AMI) The laptop is just 1 year old, I upgraded it to Windows 11 And it started running warmer than usual after a Windows Bios Update, I made sure everything was super clean, and I re pasted the CPU and GPU also using new thermal pads, I used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut,, ok it idles as 38-40 Celsius, I tried to do a stress test for 1 min and it immediately went up to 99C thermal throttled and Power Limit Throttle, when I’m doing basic things, it runs around 75-83C,, When I game it runs about 85C but spikes to 99C often and thermal throttles,, I don’t understand why I have done the paste and pads 3 different times, the fans won’t kick on until it’s already throttling, IDK what’s goin on but it has became a nightmare,, it never done this before Windows 11 and the windows bios update, and I have Reset it back to Windows 10, fresh install, Still same results.

The tittle says it I just wanna keep my cpu cold and also add some RGB so wat cooler is good? (AM4)

Because my games are kept crashing and I think that's because of temperature of both CPU and GPU. Temperature always stays above 90 degree on GPU and sometimes hint 100 in CPU. It's gaming laptop btw. Please help me you guys are my last hope

I have an asus notebook powered by an 8th gen i5-8265U I am trying to do a deepfake using deepface lab....And after watching a lot of tutorials I figured out that the iter should be more than 100000 in order to get a decent deepfake while training the model I ran the training session overnight (8 hours) and I have managed to get an iter of 10000....(GPU based training seems to have a lot of issues...like the training stopping randomly and is slower than the training done by the CPU) The issue is my laptop is running at 95C the whole time....So is it safe to run this laptop continuously at 100% CPU for 5 days straight? I tried my best to keep it cool....but it does not seem to reduce the temps

Hello, I'm building a new PC, and the CPU power cable appears to have become entangled between the VRM heatsink and the AIO radiator. I'm fine with the radiator, but I'm concerned about the VRM heatsink getting too hot and melting my cable. Will this problem develop in this manner?

I have been having trouble with my 5900x. I have a 360mm AIO and just applied Arctic Mx-6 thermal paste. While applying the thermal paste, I could not hear any water sounds in the AIO. Cpu is clocked at 4.5ghz, and in Cinebench it goes to over 87 degrees celsius. Is this normal? I feel like it is very hot considering the 360mm AIO. I got a score of 22400. Please, any help is appreciated.

Hi LTT forums! I have a thermaltake h200 tg rgb with... not the best ventilation, and so was wondering if anyone here could help with my fan orientation/placement. My specs are as follows: . Intel core i7 9700kf . MSI mpg z390 gaming plus . Aorus RTX 2070 Super . 4 x 16 Trident z gskill 3200mhz ram . Cooler master MasterAir MA410M RGB Cpu Cooler My current fan orientation is like this: . 120mm Corsair 31-003606 PWM (75cfm) fans on both front bottom and middle slots . 120mm Thermtake TT-1225 RGB (41.6cfm) Front top, Rear, and rear top slots ] I also currently have 2 140mm Corsair ML140 PRO RGB 140mm Premium Magnetic Levitation Fans (55.4cfm) awaiting arrival. Which I'm not sure if I'll even need them. Below are some pictures of the setup for better visualisation. Is this an okay setup? when the two 140mm fans arrive, is it worth putting them on, and if so, where? Just over all as well if anyone has any other suggestions that would be appreciated, I am only 1 or so months into owning this computer and its my first one and so am not the most experienced when it comes to computers. The max ive done is changing fans and plugging in a wifi card so far.

I have a 3080ti Zotac Trinity OC card (I know I know zotac bad and all that) and I've had it for around a year in april. When playing R6S, my core temp on my gpu hits 60, but my hotspot temp is 105 which causes my fans to ramp up to max. I did move relatively recently, but I took out my gpu and took it separately in the car in my lap to avoid damage. Is it possibly zotac just cheaped out on thermal pads and paste and I just need a good ol' reapplication of both?

I can't seem to solve why CPU temp is outta control. I have only opened chrome right now with the browsing or streaming or anything and my CPU usage is spiking and the fan is noisy af with CPU temps touching 100c. Can someone help what the issue is? Its been like this for weeks. A restart doesn't help too.

Hey guys! My Ryzen 5 3600 has been getting pretty hot over the last month. I just built the computer a month ago and usually don't play crazy demanding games, but when I do the CPU gets up to 95°C with the stock cooler. My plan will be to buy a new CPU cooler. The question for me is: Which? I want to make sure it'll fit with my mobo and case. My case is a Antec NX300 and the Mobo is a Gigabyte B450M Gaming. The issue I see coming is that my mobo only has 2 RAM slots, which makes it a pretty tight fit considering I can't slide over the RAM to make more space. Any ideas of a cooler I should get that will fit in my build? I'm ok with air or water, but I would prefer air to keep it a little cheaper for myself. Thanks!

I have Lenovo yoga s740 which is around 2 months old. I have issue with its thermal performance. It is running a bit warmer so I want to bump up the cooling fans but I am unable to do so. I have looked into bios, also tried software such as Lenovo vantage, speed fan ,notebook fan control without any success. Please let me know how can I adjust the fan speed manually

Hello everyone! I'm having trouble with my Vega 64. The cards starts to heat up badly when booting windows and it causes the system to crash freeze at logo screen. The problem started when the system just crashed on me while I'm not doing anything. I tried cleaning the up my desktop , took the whole system apart and rebuilt it and even re-apply all the thermal pastes to both the CPU and GPU. I reinstalled windows and it works for a good 5 minutes and I tried to install AMD driver, the system just shutdown and boot in to windows recovery mode. Till then i can never get past that point. Every time I turn on my Rig on the GPU just heats up badly. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thank you in advance! My rig: CPU : Ryzen5 2600 Ram: 16gb Teamdark 3000 bus mobo: asrock AB350M pro4 GPU: Gigabyte VEGA 64 PSU: Cooler Master 700W

Recently my cpu died on me for no reason. I had put a ryzen 5 3600 into my pc along with new ram, and it worked for two days, before completely dying. I put my old r3 1300x back in the system and it works perfectly fine. I can get a refund from amazon, but I want to make sure that the same thing doesn't happen. No overclocks were done, and under loads temps never got above 78ish (kind of warm, I was using stock cooler). I was told by a friend that there is something about how when there is heat it can cause the motherboard to contract and flex and it can break a cpu. As far as I know, I did nothing wrong and the cpu was just not built fully correctly causing it to eventually die after two days. I also updated by bios to the latest one before putting the cpu in. I also initially replaced my power supply because I thought that was the issue, but I figure that if my old crappy psu shocked my cpu it would also kill the socket, so I don't believe that is what happened. Thanks for any help you can give. Mobo: Asus tuf b450-plus gaming Old cpu: r3 1300x New broken cpu: r5 3600 GPU: Powercolor red devil rx590 Old psu: Random rosewill 500w New psu: Corsair rm650x HDD: WD blue 2012 1tb Old ram: corsair vengeance 1x8 2400mhz new ram: g.skill ripjaws 2x8 3600mhz. (Anything marked with old has been replaced, except for the cpu which is currently in my pc because the new one is broken)

Just put a new 3700x into my system and after doing some browsing it looks like some mobos were over volting the chip at launch. Is this still something I need to worry about? What are the stock voltages on the processor supposed to be anyway? I couldn’t find anything on AMD’s site. What temps should I be expecting on the stock cooler as well? I idle around 60C and it can get up to 80C ish when gaming

So recently, a few youtube channels and people on Reddit have taken to repasting their Zephyrus G15 models and have stumbled upon something very peculiar. The fan cut-outs for airflow are blocked by black paper for seemingly no reason. Asus have failed to give adequate reasoning as to why those covers exist as removing them yields a universal improvement to the laptop. Thermals go down by 5-10*C on both CPU and GPU and clockspeeds go up. SPECULATION: The current hypothesis I've read here and on several other forums is that this is yet another bribe from Intel to make the mobile Ryzen 4000 look hot and bad. But that sounds a bit far fetched to me. While Intel have done VERY shady (and illegal things) in the past, we need more evidence to corroborate any such claims. Currently, it remains as Asus' retarded decision. But it's peculiar that this black paper has only appeared on the Zephyrus G15 and the older Ryzen 3750H-based GA502. The Zephyrus M and other Zephyrus models have all had open fan ventilation. This is the primary piece of evidence people have used to give credence to the Intel theory. I welcome thoughts and opinions. @genexis_x and @LukeSavenije will have a fun time with this one I bet Also, @Princess Luna gets a tag cause

So I bought a Crucial P1 1TB Nvme SSD last week, it's been great until last night while playing DragonBall Z Kakarot when suddenly my whole PC shut off and then restarted itself I checked the temp of the SSD and found it maxed out at 93c. I let it cool down to about 50-60c then tried playing the game again, once again the PC shut off and restarted itself I check the temp of the SSD this time around 89c. So I tried playing less intensive games like CSGO had no issues with it overheating got to about 67-68c and stayed around there PC didn't shut off. So really I have a couple questions 1) I have everything OS games files etc stored on the Nvme if it overheats like that is it normal for the PC to shut itself down and restart itself 2) Is my SSD faulty? Or is it the game causing the issue? 3) Should I buy a heatsink for it and if so what is a recommended heatsink?

I took my mom's phone (it's a galaxy S5) because she was complaining about the short battery life and the heat it generates. So than I remember that my last phone (Galaxy s4) also made the same thing on it's last days, I want to know if processors heat up more when they're older or it's caused by the battery?
