Installing Noctua Fans on Swiftech H320/H220
jonesy posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I just purchased a H320 and was planning on running 6 Noctua NF-F12's on it in push/pull. I found the supplied screws (M3x6mm I believe) are ever so slightly too short because of the silencing rubber on each corner of the fans. If I take this off then the screws are just about long enough. Has anyone else found the same issue? In the meantime, I have order some slightly longer screws so I can keep the rubber on I will update once they arrive and have tested this out. Thanks. -
NCIX: http://bit.ly/1kuzMNo Amazon: http://georiot.co/495q Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103196 Buy Direct: Cooler Master: http://www.cmstore-usa.com/glacer-240l-cpu-water-cooling/ The Glacer 240L is one of the best liquid cooling solutions on the market today. It's the result of a collaboration between Cooler Master and Swiftech to create a CPU cooler with the simplicity of an all-in-one, pre-filled water cooler, and the performance and upgradability of a custom water cooling loop So basically the choice is yours. You can use it the way it comes (even the mounting hardware for Intel is pre-installed) or you can add more radiators, GPU blocks, extra pumps, the works and turn it into a full-fledged water cooler.

I just recently installed my Swiftech H220 and the Noctua NF-F12 fans with it. the H220 manual seems somewhat vague on where to plug everything in, but what i got from it was to: -plug the pump into the "CPU fan" header, and the fans into my motherboards "Opt fan" (option fan) header that is directly next to the CPU fan header. the pump runs around 2k rpm at idle and the fans sit around 650 rpm at idle. if i switch the fans to the CPU fan header and the pump to the option fan header, will that make a difference in the performance or cooling? or is it best to leave things where they are?

Directly comparing an h100i to an h220, what makes the h220 better at cooling. From the radiators to the block for the CPU, where is most of the performance at? So Im looking for a highly detailed answer. The more specifics the better.

Anyone know if I can fit a h220 in a define R4 and MSI z77 mpower? I am kinda hesitant due to the clearance issues with the top of the case with the heat sinks on the mpower. If it doesnt fit a h220 would it fit a h100i?

Cooler Master, with partnership and help from minds like Swiftech, has released an AIO which is fully customizable, just like the H220. This new cooler is specifically made for the US as the Asetek v. Swiftech ordeal with pantents. This AIO is fully capable of supporting more water cooling components as it is not fully sealed. @Ghost , your thoughts? Source: techpowerup.com SPECS: Official Product Page given by @IsaaX : http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=10101&product_name=Glacer%20240L Info Given by @Phelan : From Swiftech's Website: Available now! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103196 Thanks to @IsaaX we have further information of the cooler itself According to him and what the picture shows, the pump is a "debadged" Swiftech pump found on H220/H320. This shows that we still are able to get the reliable and funcionality of the classic DIY AIO everyone loved! Our own forum user @IsaaX has now made a build with the cooler in this thread! As you can see the temperatures are VERY well preforming. Thanks for the share @IsaaX !

I'm building in a steambox in http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Aluminum-Micro-ATX-Expansion-GD06B/dp/B004MKNNGW/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1381896019&sr=1-1&keywords=Gd06 and I am fitting in a 7970 reference but it's to damn loud and was thinking of cutting the top to fit a radiator and put some noctuas with low noise adapters on them and running the system at stock speeds would a Swiftech H220 be enough or should I spring for the 340?

Hello folks I am strongly considering getting an H220 due to its strong performance reviews. But what i have not yet seen is any endurance reviews. After reading some of the reviews on newegg I am slightly shied away from jumping into this purchase. I really want this unit, but to have it fail much the same way as these users then it's a bit of a dealbreaker. Some reviews.... http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=35-108-183&SortField=3&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Keywords=%28keywords%29&Page=1#scrollFullInfo What do you guys think?

Hi all. I was wondering if I could pair these three components together - The Define R4 + H220 + MSI Z87 G45. I want to fit the cooler at the top of the case. Nothing on the outside. Thanks very much.

Hey guys for about two weeks been hearing a buzzing noise coming from my H220. So i emailed swiftech and told me most air/bubbles in pump gave me advice in how to remove the air but been at it for about 5 hours with no luck or reducing in noise. what they told me to do was to remove radiator from case and shake tilt till air bubbles get out of system. Since that seems to not have work have been running at 1500 rpm and 3000 rpm with res cap open and filling when bubbles go out but haven't seen any noise reduction :( So beside doing an RMA which will be last resort kinda want to fix myself what other steps can i try to get the air out Thanks in Advance

Between Tiny Tom Logan's review and Linus's review of the H220, it was a toss up whether the H220 was worth its weight in gold. Paul just answered that question with a round up of all four of today's premium all in one coolers on the market today. Too bad the H220 isnt being sold anymore :(

Hey, I have a H80i with a 3570k at the moment and the temps seem quite high. Wondering what would be the best AIO Water Cooler or wait for the H360/H280 from Swiftech? Can you get the H220 and link it up to a 280mm rad? H220 at top and 280mm rad in front? Suggestions? :D Thanks. BTW I am using the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2! Beast of a case! Any modding suggestions for it?

Hey guys, i am planning on building a computer soon and have started looking into great parts for my gaming build. I am thinking about buying the H220 cpu cooler and put it on a Sabertooth Z87 mobo and put them in a R4. My question here though is, will it fit? I have heard about the R4 being big but not having a lot of space above the atx motherboards when installed. Meanwhile, the Sabertooth is pretty big and the heatsink might make it even harder to fit the H220 in. This when putting the fans on the top. If not, would it be as efficient to put it in the front instead with the hdd cases removed? The reasons to why i am stuck to those parts are that i want a great cpu cooler so i can overclock without worrying, and the Sabertooth Z87 looks great and is "more secure" (in my opinion) for people that aren't used to dealing with computer components. And i want the R4 because i have had a R3 which i loved because of the looks and the possibilities it offered. Sorry if my questions are unclear or if my spelling is bad, thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, Last week i bought an H220 and installed it in my system i been hearing a humming, grinding/whining noise since i installed it at first i thought it was pump never had a water cooled system so didn't know how those sounded. But After going thru the check list i found out its the Helix stock fans that it comes with, only at about 600 rpm do they not make the noise anything above it i can hear said noise. Now the noise is a bit weird in it has certain requirements for me to notice it my room door and windows need to be closed( if open can't hear it) if any noise in room music/tv noise is drowned out or if i have headset on I was planning on buying Noctua NF-F12 or Corsair SP fans to replace them eventually but didn't think i would be doing it this quickly. Now my Question is since Corsair would be twice as much as Helix and Noctua three times, would i run into this problem with those fans considering that they are more expensive and in my belief higher quality On another note i have fans connected to a Fan Controller but have connected to Mobo and have same problem with both fans making the noise (i don't know if mention but both make the same noise)

Ok so I will be building a new rig soon and I would like to water cool. I have helped my friend water cool but never done it on my own rig. I know that I can get all the info on water cooling from hear, but my question is about the h220. Ok so I'm wondering if I can add on to this with another 240mm rad and custom toobing. I would also like to add my gpu (evga 670 ftw). I have seen Linus's review and the build he did a while ago for the steelseries unboxing table and i know you can add to it, but can you add a 240? Also would it just be cheaper or the same price to just do a custom loop form the ground up? Would it be more efficient to do a custom loop? Any help would be amazing, thanks.

Ok guys I'm looking for a nice Micro-ATX case. What are some suggestions? The build I'm planing is going to have 2x 7850s and some like the H220 from Swiftech + 120 Rad Is there any case that can fit all of this? I want something preferably with a handle but most haves build quality and cable management wish they had some thing like the Bitfenix prodigy in a Micro form factor I'll consider any and all cases Many Thanks Missinocode

Hi all, Moving up to a hand me down 3770K and UD5H from my dad and need to get a decent cooler. I am fairly sure i will go with the H220 The case is being changed so combatibility is not an issue but is the H220 pump capable of running a full loop? Anyone had had any success doing this? I will expand and add in extra rads, resovoir and a graphics card in the future. Is this the best way to go or can someone point me in the right direction of what i should choose to do

Problems with Swiftech H220 and MSI Z77MA-G45 Motherboard
asdfDEMi posted a topic in Troubleshooting
I am currently having massive problems with my MSI Z77MA-G45's fan control. I was getting annoyed by the noise of my rig, so I was trying to isolate what components were making the most noise. Turned out to by my H220 unit, but it wasn't loud enough to warrant an exchange. I was running the pump at around 1200 rpm and the Helix fans at 800 rpm, which should be pretty close to dead silent, but were still audible to me. Maybe I just had my expectations too high. Everything was plugged in to the motherboard's CPU FAN header with Swiftech's included PWM splitter, but upon connecting all my fans back up, my H220 and my Helix fans started running at 100%. That is almost 3000 rpm on the pump and 1800 rpm on the Helix fans. I tried to bring down the fan speeds to 0% (or any other %) using SpeedFan, but no change whatsoever. I restored my bios to defaults, but no change at all. I then tried using the different PWM headers on the mobo, swapping things out, and ran into a strange anomaly. These rpm's are also around the same values in the bios as well, but I couldn't take a screenshot in the bios, so I used MSI's Control Center software for this. The pump is plugged directly into the CPU fan header, 1 Helix fan is plugged into System Fan 1, and another Helix fan is plugged into System Fan 2. Then I opened up SpeedFan to see what I could do and came up with this. Originally the %'s were at 30%, 50%, 50%. I pulled all the %'s down to 0%, and all the rpm's stayed just as depicted. Interestingly enough, Fan3 is now 1800 rpm rather than 900 rpm from before opening SpeedFan. I am completely baffled, and any help would be greatly appreciated. -
For my next build I want to try watercooling. Rather than getting a whole bunch of parts and starting my own watercooling setup I wanted to go for an all in one cooler as this is my first watercooling build. I was looking at many different ones and the one I found most appealing to me was the Swiftech H220. I also wanted to get that cool look of having seethrough tubing, basically would I be able to drain the coolant from the H220 change the tubing and refill the coolant?

Hey guys, This is actually my first post (whoo!), but anyway, here's my question... I built my first computer a few months ago, and everythings all inside this gigantic (in my oppinion) HAF932. I've been staring down Swiftech's H220 AIO liquid cooler ever since Linus did his CES video on it. I've finally decided to go ahead and buy it (just for it to be on back order, great :P). My problem/question is that my case, the HAF932, comes preinstalled with 2 230mm intake fans (one side, one front) and one 230mm exaust (top) and one 140mm exaust (back). When I install the H220 at the top of the case, it would then be an active intake, no longer exaust. I am worried that just one 140mm exaust fan won't be able to keep up with a total of 4 intake fans bringing air in (two 230mm, two radiator fans). I searched this up and some people said it should be fine, some said the opposite. Any oppinions? Thanks!

im planning on building a itx gaming rig in a prodigy using one of asus's new z87i-deluxe boards and a haswell cpu when released next month. just wandering if a h220 will be compatible with the new socket? also wandering if the single 240mm rad on the h220 will be able to cool a slightly overclocked cpu and a gpu if i choose to expand to a gpu block aswell? Thanks for any help!

Good Afternoon I wanted to use either a swiftech or corsair with these new fans and i was wondering how they preform with them. It would be really nice to have someone like Linus since he has them ALL. Help would be very nice
