Hey, I was board so I thought I would do some overclocking tests and some benchmarking & these are my results: Unigine Valley Benchmark 1.0 Valley Settings: API: DirectX 11 Quality: Ultra Monitors: Single Anti-Aliasing: x8 Full Screen: Yes Resolution: 2560x1440 System: CPU: Intel 2600k @ 3.4GHz Memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz GPU: EVGA GTX 780 - Reference Design PSU: Corsair 750 Watt SSD: Samsung 840 Pro EVGA GTX 780 - Stock Reference Design Notes: -No over volting was done during OC Tests. -Clock speeds based from EVGA Precision with Valley Benchmark running to give max clock MHz. -Tests run with Power & Temp Target at Max (PT: 106% & TT: 95c) -Core Clocks include the +Offset MHz. -Clock MHz don't quite add up to correct numbers, my guess because GPU Boost 2.0 messes with it, example 1005 + 100 doesn't equal to 1097. But these are the numbers I'm getting from EVGA Precision. -These tests are more to do with the +Offset & what that means in terms of performance, based in the Valley Benchmark. -Your result may vary. Hello everyone. so It appears that everytime I connect my other 2 monitors to the card (EVGA gtx 780 SC (Has been RMAd)) My windows freezes up and reboots. I use the newest drivers. Tried using old one today and still have that problem.. The card used to work fine so i'm sure it's a software thing, Maybe my motherboard isn't supporting this new card? (asus maximus iv extreme-z). the DVI-I on the card works all the time.. it's the others that cause the issue. the HDMI and the DVI-D. haven't tried the DP cause Non of my monitors support it. Please help if you can. Thank you.

Hi guys I'm helping my friend out with his first PC build after building my first this April and after quite a bit of back and fourth this is the parts list that we came up with. The build will be for gaming and some cad use and have an IPS 1920x1080 display with a TV for a second display and gaming use. My friend already has the screens and is buying his parts in the US, do you guys think there is any way we could make this build better ? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/20qYP Thanks

THE IMPACTER So first of hello everyone my name is Martin and im from Denmark. i would like to appologize for my english since its not my spoken lanuage, but i hope u can read this anyway So lets get started. I recently sold my old Gaming Rig to start a new build project with a powerfull mini itx pc this is only the beginning of the build as i plan on fully custom watercooling it, the pictures are not the best since they were taken with my old phone (samsung galaxy s3) Hardware for the build Asus Maximus VI Impact - Recieved Intel Core i7 4770k - Recieved Asus Gtx 780 Direct CUII 3GB - Recieved Corsair 2 x 8Gb venegance ram 1866Mhz - Recieved WD 2TB Black Storage drive - Recieved Samsung 840 pro 256 Gb SSD - Recieved Corsair RM 650watt PSU - Recieved Bitfenix Recon Fan Controller - Recieved 2 Corsair SP120 - Recieved 1 Corsair AF140 - Recieved 1 Bitfenix Spectre 230mm - Recieved Corsair H100i Liquid Cooling - Recieved Icemodz Red LED strip - Recieved Icemodz White LED strip - Recieved Bitfenix Prodigy case - Recieved Hardware Needed for the custom Watercooling Xspc Raystorm Cpu Block Red LED - Missing Xspc RS 120 Radiator - Missing Xspc RS 240 Radiator - Missing Xspc 170 Tube Resevoir/Pump Combo - Missing Xspc LCD Temp Sensor Red - Missing Xspc EC6 Coolant Blood Red - Missing Xspc 3/8 - 5/8 Clear Hose - Missing EK GTX 780 Direct CUII Nickel CSQ Waterblock - Missing EK GTX 780 Direct CUII Backplate - Missing 3 xNoiseblocker Eloop 120mm NB-B12-P - Missing Monsoon 3/8 - 5/8 Free Center Compression fittings - Missing Other Hardware i got. Crossover 27" IPS monitor - Recieved Corsair K70 Mech MX cherry Red - Recieved Roccat Kone XTD - Recieved Roccat Hiro - Recieved Edifier 2.1 speaker - Recieved Astro A40 2013 Neon Red - Recieved I have never done a custom watercooling so this is a first for me if you got any inputs plz let me know. the main theme of this build is going to be Red and Black (of course) alot of my inspiration comes from watching alot of other builds researching and stuff. i want this to be as clean as possible when its done so im prolly gonna make a custom front top and side panel. Lets get started! - Recived some of the components needed for my Little Impacter Before the stripping of the case Time to pull this little fella appart Drilling out the rivvets so i can turn the front upside down (or else the fan connector wont fit cause of the H100i in the top of the case. luckily i had one of theese in my shed. and off it goes super easy should anyone want to try this. and now its back on again. Front view Starting the assembly MB Front 230mm Fan and Back 140mm fan is in In goes the H100i and the 16Gb of Memory. I switched the original fans from the H100i with the SP 120 Quiet Edition at first i mounted the SSD here but changed my mind later on since i didnt have room for my WD Black Time to install the fan controller The problem with this is the 5.25 bay is to big to sit in the bottom of the case and i needed the mounting holes for the Fan controller so i made a CHOP CHOP So now it fits ( I actually ended up not using the mount at all but pictures will show later. ) The PSU Would actually fit normally in the case but u had to use quite some force to get it in there. so i found some old MB standoffs and used theese to get a little bit of ekstra room This is it for now since im waiting for more material to continue building but here are some tempoary piuctures. I know the color looks pink but its really not the flash from my phone turned i.... Its a nice Dark Red And a overview of my desktop ( its a bit messy yes ) Future Plans Include Full Custom Watercooling Custom Start / Reset Switch on the left side of the case Custom temp Sensor Display on the Left side of the case. Custom Side Panels Custom Sleeved Cables and Plugs. All will be made in poly carbon glass and Aluminium Plates I hope u liked it so far stay tuned for more updates Write a comment if u have any good advice for me or my build Thanks Everyone!!

Guten Abend, So im folding for around 2 months now with my gtx780 and from time to time my Display Driver just crashes and i have to restart folding with my gpu. It just goes back to 0% and i can do it again. For some reason its not only with my current driver (331.65) but also with a lot of them further back in time like the 320's and even 310's. Im not sure if its a special type of Work Unit which is causing it to fail all the time or if they are always different but either way this sucks big time! Any ideas why i have these problems? Also, is it normal that my ppd fluctuates really hard between 80k and 200k? (most of the time its around 120k) Thx and greetings Edit: System specs in the sig >.>

Hello everyone, This topic is about a LGA2011 build using these parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/sogoodbybob/saved/2L65 Needs: High video editing and gaming on Ultra Settings and still to pull 120FPS so I can use 3D Vision on the monitor. Budget: Maximum 4000$ ( Peripherals Included in the price ) - LOCATION: It's not important I'm going to ship them from America (possibly) Why: This machine will be used for YouTube Channel and streaming on Twitch.TV via XSplit. Photoshop and Sony Vegas Pro 12 on it. Any questions.. Put them in the comments down below. This is kind of test I had previous topic for different PC but I will delete it. As you can see the parts I picked are around the 3200$ mark and with this beast I probably should go for Watercooling. ( Feel free to suggest bigger case (900D) and watercooling parts ) I won't be using the Video Card I picked in the list this is just to be close to the price point for the card that I'll be rocking with.... 780Ti

Is it okay to have a monitor 120/144hz and my GPU is a single Asus GTX 780 DCU2 OC? or just go get a IPS 60hz monitor? Let's say all the games I want to play were in ultra/max settings. (especially latest games). And if ever I'm getting a 50-60fps in games would be ok If I'm still using a monitor 120/144hz? The monitor that I'm planning to get is Asus VG248QE for 120/144hz as for 60hz IPS is Asus VX239H Just for solely playing of games only.

Can you please explain me what im doing wrong?

Hello Guys I just put in an old GT220 512MB in my pc to see if it would preform better if I set it as PhysX processor. I also have a GTX 780. I did some tests in game and with FluidMark and always had the exact same results. Even when i set my CPU as PhysX Processor??? Now my question is if it is better to separate them or not or am i maybe doing something wrong here Will I have an advantage in FPS if i seperate it? Thx Already Tetrahc

I was looking at the EVGA GTX 780 SC reference for the looks but it's more expensive and it has higher temps.

Hello Everybody, I want to build my own computer, so I am taking my first steps at choosing components. Someone I know is selling his EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked GDDR5 ZGAN for $390, it's in a perfect state and he sells it with all of the other assecoires. which costs online, new, about roughly a $520. He used this card for only about 5 months and still has the 2 years of warranty at EVGA and Azerty(the webshop he bought it from). So my questions are; is it a good idea to buy second-hand computer components? As if its safe and durable? And what can I accomplish with having the warranty + invoice of the webshop he bought it from? If anyone could help me with taking this decision, Thanks in advance,

Guys what do you think is (well) bang for the bucks in this 2 Nvidia cards? GTX 780 or GTX 780 Ti? I saw some reviews that that 780 Ti is only within a slightly improvement than the GTX 780 and for the price point it's kinda ridiculously questionable & confusing. In that so I wanna know some of your opinions and the some of you owned this two specifically GPU cards. So is worth that the GTX 780 Ti for almost plus $200 price over the GTX 780? EDIT: Forgot to mention that it's for gaming in 1080p or in the future 4k. I already thought of the AMD cards but I'am much preferred the NVIDIA cards.

Hey everyone, what do you think? So I've finally got enough of a budget to upgrade my battlestation, what can you guys tell me about this build? I'll be using it for gaming and various image and vector editing software, I use two 1080p monitors and I like to multi-task (maybe upgrading to ultra-widescreen in the future). This is my very first build so please feel free to throw me some feedback. So here it is, a red & black themed build with a white shell: OS: Windows 8.1 Motherboard: Asus Z97 Maximus VII Hero - 189.40€ CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz 8MB Sk1150 - 296.60€ GPU: Asus GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5 - 479.80€ Considered the 780Ti but it sounded like overkill. RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3-1600Mhz 2x8GB - 169.90€ Had better options in terms of price but they just look incredibly awesome to me. CPU Cooler: WC Corsair Hydro Series H100i - 99.10€ Storage: Kingston 3K SSD HyperX 120GB - 76.90€ & Western Digital Black 1TB SATA III 64MB - 71.80€ Is this the right hard drive? WD has blue, green, red, black... Black sounded like the high-tier one. Optical Drive: DVD-RW Asus 24X Black Bulk - 18.50€ There is Bulk and non Bulk. What does bulk mean exacly? All the specs seem like the same to me. Case: Corsair Graphite 760T White w/ White LEDs - 179.90€ Really love the side panels on this thing, planning on changing out the LEDs for red ones though... once I figure out how. Power Supply: Planning on getting a Corsair one but... which one should I get? - 70.00€ ~ 90.00€ I bet you guys get this one a lot but I have no idea how to calculate it. I'll probably be throwing some kind of overclocking at some point too. That's a total of around: 1650.00€ So what do you guys think? I'm in no way an expert and i'm open to suggestions, thank you in advance!

1. Budget & Location Hello everyone. I'm from India, my budget is around $4000 CAD 2. Aim This is going to an all purpose machine gaming, programming, general use, animation rendering, video editing. The video editing and animation rendering is just basic stuff and I'm a beginner at it so I won't be doing too much heavy stuff. 3. Monitors I will be running a single 1080p 24 inch/25 inch monitor. I may be upgrading to 3 monitors or a 4K Monitor later down the line. 4. Peripherals Keyboard, Mouse, Thermal Compound. 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm upgrading because my 3 year old gateway laptop has become completely obsolete and rather than buying a mediocre PC, thought of getting a high end one. I don't require all the components since I get quite a few of them locally so I will only require few components, planning to buy these from NCIX Canada since they ship to India. Although I do need to pay a 16.80% Customs Tax on the components but i can live with that. Specs - Intel Core i7 4770K - Rs. 25,250 / $359 CAD on NCIX - Available Locally Motherboard - ??? G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) PC RAM (F3-14900CL10S-8GBXL) x2 - Rs. 10,940 / $193 CAD - Available Locally Seagate Barracuda 2TB - Rs. 5,805 / $103 CAD - Available Locally Case - ??? Asus GeForce GTX780 3GB x2 - $1400.00 CAD ($700 CAD for 1) - NCIX Soundcard - ??? Seasonic Platinum 1000W - $260 CAD - NCIX (Probably going to add a third card in the future) Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB SSD - Rs. 15,319 / $270 CAD - Available Locally Liquid CPU Cooler - ??? Additional Fans - Depends on case (Leaning towards Bitfenix Spectre Pro 120mm Fans) - Available Locally Your advice on the parts would be greatly appreciated, and the ones with question marks means i don't know which one to purchase. Help please. All advice is welcome.

I am planning on doing an mITX build as soon as the 4770k hits the market. I was planning on putting all the components into a Bitfenix Prodigy. For the processor, I am planning on getting a Swiftech H220 cooler, but cannot decide what to do with the GPU. I was looking at graphics cards (GTX780), and since I am having no issues with my EVGA GTX460SC so far, I will go EVGA once again. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on whether I should get a card with a stock blower style cooler for the small case, or an ACX one, that keeps heat within the enclosure but is supposed to be cooler and quieter on the card; or should I spend the extra $ and go with a water block. I am looking for a quiet running build while overclocking all components to get the best performance.

So, I finally got enough money to build my first computer, and yeah, this is what happened. I decided to go with mATX because, well, I just love Corsair's cases, and I fell in love with the 350D as soon as I saw Linus unbox it. I knew I wanted to go with a green color scheme, because, that's simply my color. Aaaaand, just a quick note about the name.. Zoe has been a name that has always stuck with me. From the days of SSX on the old Xbox. Yeah, the perfect name for my little baby Cx *I just noticed that there was another build called ZOE. I did not know that when I came up with the name, I just randomly went through topics on the forum, and it had been on Build logs of the week* Case - Corsair Obsidian 350D CPU - Intel Core I7 4770K (not overclocked yet) Cooler - Corsair H100i (Stock fans at the moment) MOBO - Gigabyte G1 Sniper M5 RAM - Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 Gigs PSU - Corsair AX 760i (Individually sleeved cables too) GPU - Gainward Geforce GTX 780 SSD - Samsung 840 PRO HDD - WD Green 3 TB Lighting - NZXT Sleeved LED Kit 2 Things I'm going to point out about this picture. Firstly, I decided to mount the radiator to the right because I just love the look, but the 5.25" bays are kind of in the way, which makes it look a little bit dodgy. Also, I've tried to remove the Corsair logo on the PSU, but there's still adhesive on it. The red logo just wouldn't fit with the build. Picture of that 780. I'm pretty happy with how the cables look in the front (not in the back though, haha) The LED strip doesn't look too great as it is right now though. The system powered on. The thing I dislike about the motherboard is the diagnostics LED. The red light doesn't fit in, and it annoys me... Haha, I haven't checked in the bios if you're able to turn it off, but yeah. Also, I'm not a great photographer, therefore the mediocre image quality. Closeup on the system powered on. Here you can really see that LED I was talking about.. Aaaand the last one, with the side panel on. One thing to note, the 8-pin is a bit more messy because the picture was taken before I tidied it up :P She's going to be tidied up even more. Better cable management and new fans are on the list. Not really important at the moment though.

Hey everyone! I am starting a thread here on LTT for my upcoming water cooled upgrade for the ROG Gene V TJ08-E. I was wanting to have a watercooled build that did not look like all the others... It is especially hard with a small case such as the Silverstone TJ08-E as there is only a handful of WC products that work in my case... So I decided to use hard acrylic tubing with the help of B Negative's tube bending guide. I must just warn everybody that this thread is photo heavy, so there is a 56k modem warning here for those of you using dial-up internet, or with a limited mobile surf packet! First I would like to explain where this build has come from, and what I plan to do with it in the future. Best to explain with pictures! Here is how my PC looked in January this year: At this point, I had gained enough courage to try my hand at some modding. I was wanting to have something more unique, something with my stamp on it. So I started out with a couple of projects on making my computer stand out from the rest. What I had in mind at that point was just to sleeve the PSU, and try to make a floor which lit up white to show off the components in my case... The sleeving took a long time, and the light panel failed and looked like poo. So I had to come up with something not just OK, but PERFECT! I wanted to do a mod that had not been done before, and have this mod cover the many bare spaces within the case. Suddenly, I found inspiration from the SupremeFX III sound chip design which can be found on my Asus Z77 Maximus V Gene motherboard. This is what the design looks like on the board: So, here is my journey to replicating my design on my own PC with the help of a few hand tools, elbow grease, and time. Enjoy these pics: Let’s just say that the kitchen wasn’t looking so happy after all this work… Neither was the wife! After a doing the light panels, I had the inspiration and motivation to do something special about the back of the PC. Something special with the cabling, SSD placement, and maybe use some aluminium to "spruse" it up a bit. It was nothing advanced, but in my opinion, it tied in with the general feeling that I washoping to acheive with the upgrade! This is what I had come up with: So, 5 months had gone by since I had started this rebuild. I had bought some more hardware, sold some hardware, filed and sanded like a "mofo", and in the end, I ended up with a computer that I was 100% happy with!!! This is what it looked like: Once completed, in May 2013, fans who had followed the build nominated me for overclock.net's "Mod Of The Month", of which I was 1 of 4 contestants gunning for glory. After 8 days of voting, I had won the competition with 58% of a total of 310 votes. But the story doesn't end there... Sadly, after having the computer up and running for a week, I noticed that the SLI setup ran too hot because of the aluminium mid-plate sitting directly above the top GPU, and my Corsair H80 CPU AIO (All In One) solution's pump died. This forced me to send it back as RMA to where I had bought it from. After 3 weeks of having a dead computer, I was told that the H80 would not be replaced, but that I would get a refund. More stress! BUT, After some thinking, and planning, and determination, I decided to take it to the NEXT LEVEL (again?) and WATER COOL!!! So, after some more hard work, I would like to present the final pictures for this watecooling upgrade: Thank you Aquatuning for your sponsorship! Hi, I'm planning on building a new PC in the very near future, but I'm going to upgrade my PSU now, and I would like some suggestions on a power supply. As stated in the title, I want it to be compatible with Haswell CPUs, (most likely a 4670k) as well as compatible with 2 GTX 780s in SLI. I'm assuming 700-800 or so Watts is probably good enough, but let me know if I would need more/less power. An optional requirement, would be that it goes well with a white case and blue theme. I was looking at the Corsair GS700 2013 edition, but I don't think it's SLI compatible, but please let me know if I'm wrong. Thanks for any suggestions. PS. I know that "optional requiement" is an oxymoron, but you know what I mean.

I currently play battlefield3 on 3 monitors and am running 2, 580's in SLI (3gb cards). I "think" it "might" be time to upgrade to a 780 and a second 780 when the price drops $50-100 from the initial offering cost. With that said, with Battlefield4 (and the current Battlefield3) ...should I use one of my current 580s for physics? Seems like Battlefield4 might really be turning things up a notch and would like to sell one 580 and potentially keep one 580. In the past I found it wasn't worth doing this but maybe things have changed from a few years ago? Thanks everybody
