Hi guyz i have a serious problem with my new GPU ( MSI GTX 750ti gaming) Whenever i plug it in my PC freezes before the BIOS splash screen. And before i updated the BIOS it froze at the splash screen and i couldnt do anything.it was not repsonding. But when i plug in my old gpu pc works just fine. Its a fairly new setup with the following specs. Any help will be appreciated. Motherboard: MSI 970 gaming (BIOS VERSION 22.1) It has click BIOS 4 CPU: AMD 8320E RAM: ADATA 8Gb 2133Mhz (2x4Gb) HDD: Western digital black 1Tb PSU: 600W (85 plus) - 2x Noctua NF-12 premium fans ( brown poop ones ) - Corsair h80i AIO cooling kit (includes 2x fans, pump and a radiator) - 1x RED 60c, long LED strip DVD-ROM I do think the GPU may be faulty so... WHAT I TRIED: Update bios Reset bios (through bios or through cmos) -Unnistall all old gpu drivers - Googled the shit out of this issue (found many similiar people with the same problem solving it by bios update or waiting - neither helped me)

Okay so here's the problem. Im not so pro around hardware fails if it is a hardware fail. First about my computer specs. GPU : Intel® Core i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz CPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz Harddrive: 2x Samsung 840 evo SSD Windows 7 Premium copyright. 64bit Screen: Phillips 27" LED 272G5DJEB/00 - 1Ms / 144hz (im running with Dvi duel so i can use the 144hz) Power Supply:is on 560W Okay, so here's the problem. it happens mostly when i play World Of Warcraft sinse i play that pretty seroius. When im done with a loading screen and the screen picture is about to appear it sometimes draw the whole picture like if i would draw it in paint with all kinds og lines/colors and then after 1-2 sec BOOM the picture comes and im ready to play again. That i can live with if it dosent do more than that. But the big problem here is. Sometimes after loading screen the screen just disapears and shows a random color and maybe a little thin withe line in the right side og the screen. (i linked a picture of it) - Im so frustrated because i sent in my graphic card because it thought that was it, but those i bought it from could not find any mistakes on the card. I've tryed to reinstall windows on both my Harddrives. and repair my wow client. But it still happens All my hardware is around 1 year old and not more. I really hope someone has something i can use as help/advice to fix it

Since I'm new to this forum and this is my first post, I thought I might tell you guys a little bit about myself, before coming to the reason you're probably here. If you aren't interested in this feel free to skip to the interesting part. I'm a 20 year old guy from Germany. Therefore my english might be a little off, but I try my best to keep my posts as close to real english grammatics as possible. I have been following the LinusTechTips youtube channels for a long time. I still know the times where Linus would unpakage the new stuff he got in the parking lot of ncix, but I never had any problems nor great nollege with PCs since I never really owned one. So I build my own a few weeks backand now I'm here. Interesting Part: I am experiencing the following problem: My ca. 3 week old Graphics card (Asus Radeon R9 280 DirectCU II TOP Active PCIe 3.0 x16) has a base clock of 874MHz and a factory boost clock of 980MHz. However my R9 is very picky about turning said boost clock on. Is there a solution or should I just try to return the card to the retailer and get a new one? I searched the internet, but I didn't found anyone have the same problem or a solution to the problem. I really want to overclock the card. I know it runs stable with 15%+ Powerlimit, 1100 MHz Coreclock and the Memory clock at 1500MHz I didn't touch the core voltage. I know it runs stable because I was able to test it during one of the sessions with the boost clock active. All the overclocking and monitoring was done with MSI Afterburner Version 4.0.0 and the Riva Tuner that comes with the Afterburner. I have the newest graphics drivers installed. I also have the Catalystcenter installed. Is it that interfering with MSI afterburner, since it has its own overclocking tool? I attached two pictures. One is of the overclocking settings and the other one is a ingame pic of Battlefield 3 with load, how hot it gets and a display of the non boost. For your information: I have the MB Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P Motherboard and a FX-6350 6x 3.9GHz and I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. If you need any more information to solve the problem, just let me know. Every response dealing with the problem is appreciated. -Rasoar

So I have been running benchmarks in 3Dmark Firestrike. On single GPU Score is 13000 Sli 9400!? I am using Nvidia inspector to set the profile but it makes no difference. Have enable max 3D performance in Nvidia control panel. Disable/enable G-synk Games are also running bad. Ultra settings, 1440p Tested so far: Shadow of Mordor: 70-80fps Neverwinter:60-90fps While benchmarking: Gpu usage: 60-80% both cards Gpu1 temp:45C Gpu2 temp:42C Gpu Clock 1440Mhz (overclocked) Nvidia Driver 344.16 Monitor: Asus Rog Swift. Can't figure out whats wrong! Thanks in advance!!

What card would i need to get 4k at round 40 - 60 fps. I wont finish my build until next year summer so should i wait for stronger graphic cards because i only have a 750w gold evga power supply so i cant go with r9 290x unless amd releases more power effecient cards. So what is the best card for me to get or should i wait until next year?

Hi, I'm waiting for GTA V for PC and I'm looking for replacement for my 660ti if it would not run the game properly. The Asus's GTX 970 Strix caught my eye, but since it has only 8 pin connector, do I need a PSU that has biffy 8pin rail or something? Since reference card has 8 + 6 pin, doesn't that mean that just 8pin cable need to deliver more power, and needs to be sturdier? My current PSU is XFX XXX 650W (P1-650X-XXB9) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207022) This part of the post is not that important to me (and may be difficult to understand due to my English skills ;]), as I've never use SLI but... ...it is just my curiosity, the PSU has two 8pin sockets on the back, one is for PCI-E and another for CPU, and PCI-E cable divides into 8pin and 6+2pin. Does it mean that I can run even a SLI setup using this one cable, or it's more like "I can try but it wouldn't be recommended"? Since PSU has no other slots labeled as PCI-E, but maybe if it's card like Asus GTX 970 Strix, that already turns 6pin + 8pin setup into just one 8pin, you shouldn't use this PSU for SLI with two those cards? PSU is SLI rated but I wonder what if there are two cards with 8pin + 6pin connectors. I have attached picture of rear view of the PSU in case it would be difficult to find it on the web or link expire. P.S.: I considered to post this thread on GPU section of the forum, but after consideration I guess it fits to PSU more, but tell me if I'm wrong.

HI guys, when i connect the screen at the mobo (maximus vi hero) via hdmi (with the 780 installed, its driver too), ive tried to install the cpu graphics' driver, but the installer says that there are not the minimal requisites, so the chip... How is this possible? How can i make that work?

Hey everybody... As you obviously know, Nvidia just released the 980 and the 970... I'm going to build a Pc, and I had chosen a Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X, that had a lower price than the 780 and was almost as good as. But since now the prices will drop, I was considering the 780/780TI from Nvidia, as I'd prefer to buy a "green team" card, as there are a few benefits as better software, and so on... What GPU should I get? And if I should go for Nvidia, could you link me some Amazon offers? Remember that if I have to change my mind I have to spend the money I'd spend for the 290... By the way, here's the configuration: Intel i5 4690K ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 4GB Corsair 8 GB 1600MHz (2x4GB) Low Profile Blue Samsung 840 Evo 250GB WD Caviar Blue 1TB Noctua NH-U9B SE2 XFX XXX Edition 650W NZXT Phantom 410 Asus VG248QE 24" 144Hz 1ms Monitor Thank you for your help

I've decided to do my first build I'm new to all of this and wanted to ask some opinions and suggstions form the community. Any comments are appreciated. What you need // My budget is $2500.00 USD and $3000.00 is my max. // The only perhiprials I need will be a keyboard and moniters // I will need OS (Windows 7) // I'll be running 2-3 moniters // Use: This computer will be used as a workstation and a gaming rig for my home. I do heavy amounts of 3D modeling in prgrams such as Rhino, Revit, 3DS Max, and some CAD. I also run both still and real time rendering programs such as Maxwell Render, Vray, and Octane. I work in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign everyday as well. This wil be my personal home computer which I play games on as well. I enjoy games such as Skyrim modded, Dark Souls 2, League of Legends, some indie games, and I would love to be able to some of the higher end games which I have been unable to up till now. What I need // Hardware that can handle daily use of 3D modeling programs and adobe programs // A rig that can handle heavy cpu rendering and possible gpu rendering in the future. // large storage space // fast memory and lots of it What I want // Three moniters would be great but two is fine. I need IPS for the color quality but I can't afford 4k yet. 1080p is fine but I am open to 1440 withing reason. // A clean build, Black bruch aluminium, minimal, little color as possible, size doesnt matter either way to me. Cosair seems to be a style I like for cases. 450d or 250d is a consideration (fractal is in the running as well) // brown switch mechanical keyboard. Love the feel but can;t have the noise, i ill never use any color but white lights so the RBG lines dont do much for me. // A good graphics card(s). I am unsure whether to run a single beast cards ro teo good cards in SLI due to my needs. // Some advice My First Attempt PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6kQgCJ Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6kQgCJ/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor ($383.95 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($94.98 @ OutletPC) Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste ($6.73 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: EVGA Micro Micro ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($249.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($194.99 @ Adorama) Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($229.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Seagate SV35.5 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($90.00 @ Amazon) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX Video Card ($355.66 @ Newegg) Case: Corsair 450D ATX Mid Tower Case ($109.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($54.99 @ NCIX US) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($197.97 @ OutletPC) Wired Network Adapter: Intel EXPI9301CTBLK 10/100/1000 Mbps PCI-Express x1 Network Adapter ($28.29 @ Amazon) Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($124.99 @ NCIX US) Total: $2122.52 Thoughts // I plan on haveing 2x8gb corsair vengance ram, they just didnt have it listed. I am also considering getting two gtx 970s or just going with one 980. I will need an external disc drive and moniters as well which are not listed. I have no idea whether I need a sound card or if there is on board audio with the motherboard. // This is my first build and I am by no means a computer genius, there could be several conflicts with these parts that I am not aware of and I could just be flat out saying something that does not make sense. I would love to know what hardware you think I should consider for my scenario and what I should look into. I would say the computer will be used 40% work 60% gaming. I don't plan on moving it much so weight and size is not an issue, quiet is nice but I dont really care. I will probably buy most of the parts around black friday so be able to optimize my budget. I'm looking to finish this build by the end of the year so feel free to touch a bit on the edge of the budget as prices will fall somewhat. Thanks for taking the time to read, I look forward to reading your comments. -S

Hey everyone, I was recently looking at a Build Log http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=221316 and noticed the vertical card showing the waterblock nicely. I did some further looking into this andnfound something called a "Riser Card" http://www.ameri-rack.com/PCI-EXPRESS.htm A frustratingly bad website with little information. I was wondering if anyone knew of something like this. A pci express 3.0 extention cable. Thanks!
