Hi all, The full size Torrent case seemingly is only available to order with RGB in black, why on earth is this? It seems like it's a choice of the colour you want, or RGB, but not both. I cannot see the logic in shipping one colour of the case in RGB fans installed, and not others? Are they likely to release it down the line in grey/white with the RGB fans, or should I just look at other options? Thanks, Kagan

I am planning on building a new system and I ve been waiting for Asus to release their new AM5 mini itx ROG Strix B650E-I because I needed a motherboard that can support the new gen ryzens, DDR5 and can fit in the Fractal torrent nano case. The motherboard was finally release a couple of days ago in my country at the wonderful price of 410€!!!!!! even though the same strix motherboard for intel's cpus costs 270€ which is still expensive but still inside my budget. Do you have any information whether we ll see a drop on the AM5 strix motherboards soon or is this going to be the standard price for this motherboard? It was the first time a case met all my requirements, looks, airflow and build space and I really don't want to go for intel...If only there was a small torrent case that could support micro atx that would have solve my problem but now I simply don't know what to do and I really need a new PC before February... Do you have any other recommendations that would help me? The PC I am planning to build will be using an AMD 7700x.

So I heard that the Fractal Lumen got recalled for chemical incompatibility/mfg issue. By all accounts the thermals on this AIO were great, and the pump design was great/unique. I was this close to buying one, but now I feel like I dodged a time bomb. Has anyone heard anything about a new revision or replacement that solves these issues? Is Fractal going to relaunch it or just scrap the design?

Purchased all of my parts for a new build — waiting on everything else to get here, but wanted to look into the case I got yesterday and figure out the RGB hub in the meantime. I almost returned the case last night, but I think I can make it work, it’s only my second build. I am STRESSED — do I need to even use the RGB/fan hub? Can I control the RGB of the fractal fans that come with it AND my Corsair h150i elite lcd AIO through the hub? And if I decide not to use the fan hub, do I still need to plug it in via the sata/pwm? Or am I just better off doing the fans on their own, and the AIO via the command core that comes with it? I know ultimately I still have to plug in the front I/o sata connection, but just not sure what the right step is here. The manual directions have to be the most vague I’ve come across. I know this is a super loaded ask, but any feedback is appreciated.

I am planning to build a PC in the new Fractal North case. I won't have enough space for a 360 radiator along with a 40 series GPU, but I've seen a build where the person mounts their 280 radiator sideways (level with the CPU) on the mesh version of the case and have been considering doing the same. Otherwise I will be forced to buy a 240 radiator and mount it on the top side of the case. My question is if mounting the AIO sideways would kill it/my CPU faster? Attached is the the build I spoke about (source: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/46BcCJ )

I have an EVGA CLC 280mm AIO and looking to get new fan as the shroud cut kind that are installed out of the box are not the best. I am looking for RGB chassis fans as well. Total number of fans needed is 5. Fans I'm currently looking at that I need advice on are the "Corsair LL 140mm" & " Fractal Design Prisma AL-140 PWM" Are then any others cheaper that are about the same in quality? All chassis fans have front panel speed control and AIO has software control. So I don't know if I need PWM fans for both or either. System specs are in signature if needed

Sooo like most people I ran into a bit of extra stimulus cash and decided to upgrade. Went from a crappy budget $55 Deepcool case to a $260 Fractal Define 7 case. Started off as this cramped mess with my old rx480 ... Did the transplant operation .... NURSE GIVE ME 50CC'S OF DATA STAT! (pardon the kitchen bench ) And about 24 hours later I ended up here. Not without drama though, the first AIO cooler I got was leaking! so had to take it back to the store and get it swapped I take my whole rig in cause it was easier at the time but they were really busy so the guy asked can I remove it, I'm like sure lol so he handed me a screw driver and took off the cooler in-store on their display bench. got home and put it all back together, also got some nice red/black power extension cables for the gpu as the ones from the power supply are really chunky and hard to manipulate. All in all I'm pretty happy about it. Next step is to get a small led matrix audio visualiser powered by an Arduino or some type of active screen and stick it on that panel. Edit I forgot to put in the extra back shot of all the hidden HDD & cabling goodness

Budget (including currency): ~$500 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Tomb Raider series, Destiny 2, Minecraft, DOOM Eternal, Borderlands 1, 2 & 3. Learning to code, web browsing, video playback. Nothing super demanding. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I want to upgrade my platform from Z77 to AM4 as well as swap out my case. *I plan to upgrade other components at a later time* My current Cooler Master HAF 932 is just too big. I'm using only two of the five 3.5" bays and only one of the six 5.25" bays, of which I don't plan on using any. Please take a look at the core components and if you have any suggestions on a different part or build altogether, I'm interested in hearing. Some things to keep in mind, I'd like to stick with air cooling and I'm looking for a case with decent airflow with a minimalist look. I originally was looking at the Corsair 275R and the Phanteks Eclipse P400A but have settled on the Fractal Design Meshify C. Thank you in advance to anyone with suggestions! Fractal Design R5 Black w/ Window (Newegg) - $80 There's been a backorder on the Define R5 Black w/ Window (not the Blackout) on Newegg since Saturday. Generally, Newegg closes purchase of items until they are back in stock, but I'm guessing that they got a deal and have left the case on backorder for purchase to be billed on the day of handling. I've heard a great deal of this case from several forum members and have decided to jump on this deal. Hopefully it goes through.

Greetings LTT community! I am here to ask you about case recommendations I am building a new PC, probably an AMD for a change (last AMD one was a 64 Athlon eons ago :O) depending of hard reviews of Ryzen, Ryzen MB's and Vega, since Thunderbolt 3 is still very difficult to find and PCIe 4.0 is still ways ago (current MB and processors does not support it, as well as Cannonlake and Coffeelake) and to implement (maybe Icelake/Zen+ & Navi/AfterVolta). My build is something in the line of Ryzen7 1700, AM4 X370, 16/32GB DDR4, Vega10/11, M.2 NVME + 4TB HDD. Not interested on an Blu-ray drive, I prefer air flow. When i looked at the Fractal Design Define C i was hooked! I've been following since the R5 and S, it is compact yet spacey inside, quiet, simple, stylish, lots of cooling options, well you know is Fractal Design. Just one thing... they don't sell it in my country, here is mostly Corsair, Cooler Master, NZXT, Thermaltake, Aerocool... In Win... Pixxo... Enermax? Others are pretty rare (like Be Quiet! is a rare find) So i ask all of you, any recommendations or great picks that are similar to the Fractal Design Define C, Mid-tower, ATX, preferably silent cases, windowed panel is welcome, love to see inside even if it looses a dBa . Thanks in advance!

Hello, so It's finally time for me to upgrade my fractal design r3 120mm fans. I was thinking to go with Noctua NF-P14s redux-900 140mm Now, would it be bad if I replaced all 120mm fans with 140mm, but I cannot have a 140mm in the rear of my chassi, so that means 2- 140mm front 2- 140mm top 1-120mm rear Would that be okay? Or should I just go with 120mm all around? -Thanks

I have a radiator where the inner holes along its edge for fan mounting are 16mm apart. I cannot for the life of me find a gasket with that spacing, the closest I can find is a rubber gasket with holes 15mm apart. Could someone with experience setting up gaskets on radiators tell me if the difference is negligible here? AIO radiator: (Asetek, 360mm, in the Fractal Design Celsius S36) Was looking at the following: http://www.xs-pc.com/radiator-accessories/360mm-radiator-gasket

From what I gather the 24-pin cable supplied with this psu is going to be a tad too short unless routed in front of the gfx. Can I get any 24-pin cable from a quality brand or do I need a specific type of plug for the psu side? (I noticed Corsair sell cables, but none are listed for the sf)

My case is a Fractal design R5, and this is going to be my first ever build. Well, I'm not personally building it, and am having it professionally built for me. Here is the full part list (Everything is up-to-date with what I've purchased/pre-ordered): https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/sdTwZ8 Picture is of the layout that I think might work? Just a head-sup: I unfortunately am cursed with non-verbal learning disability, which makes it incredibly difficult for me to explain things. It's also difficult for me to process large amounts of information at once; it takes me much longer to learn something than others would. Question: So since the cooling setup is the last stage of my planning, I'm hoping you guys could give me in point form/instruction-like format, (if the setup looks correct) what I should be telling/showing the guy. The reason why I mentioned my learning disability is because giving him a list of instructions would be the best way for me to convey what I want done. So, I guess look at my setup, and tell me what I should give him. Picture is of the layout that I think might work (I already own one AF 140mm fan): On a side note: Despite this section being cooling, I figured that a side question that maybe, kinda, sorta belongs in another topic, could be quickly answered here. The question is this: Will I need to be buying any extra cables, considering all the parts of my build? If so, could you list what I'd need? Thaaaank youuu. P.S Despite having a learning disability, I've accepted how I am, but I still always do feel terrible about how I make things harder than they should be for other people. So, I just wanted to thank you guys in advance. I genuinely appreciate all the help I can get.

Hi, this is my first build ever, but as I'm still learning about components and all that, I'm going to be having this computer built for me. What I wanted to know is what fans should I get and any extension cables I'd be needing; updating the PC part picker list would be great. I want to try and keep things under $100 CAD. One important thing to know is that my computer, during summer, will be running in a room that goes up to 85F/29.4C and my PC will be in a fairly cramped space due to lack of room on desk. I should also note that the back of the case will unfortunately be backed against the rear wall of my desk (about 7" away), right where my power bar is. I know that there's air intake, but I don't know if it would be better to blow the hot air out. If you wanted to know what I plan to be doing with the computer: Potentially overclocking (safe amount) both the GPU and the CPU; this computer is solely for gaming. What I also wanted to know is what I should exactly tell the builder for how I should set everything up, and a quick diagram drawn in paint; think of it as kind of a script. the reason why I say exactly is because I have nonverbal learning disability, which is basically minor autism without the social awkwardness. So since I have NLD, it makes it very difficult for me to explain things verbally without rambling on, over complicating things, and just missing the point entirely. Now that I think about it, if I were to just be given a list of things to tell him instead of a script, that'd be great, too. Sorry for needing so much detailed information; I've just never done it before. Watching videos on how to do things is pretty hard for me since things are normally explained partially verbally, with some demonstrations, which is something I have trouble retaining. My current parts that I have: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/QTQBYr Picture is of interior for the paint diagram.

So the guys over at Tech Report appear to be getting on the early April 1st train and have released their review for the Fractal Design Fur-E. With everything being RGB now, why not go with a different accessory to hype up your PC? Now you can pet your PC menacingly while plotting world domination and viewing the latest cat video on YouTube. http://techreport.com/review/31384/fractal-design-fur-e-case-reviewed

Hey all. Just ordered mostly a new rig. Just wondering if anyone with a Fractal Define S has tried putting an original corsair H100 water cooler front-mounted in the case? I'm hoping the hoses are long enough, even if I have to put the fans inside, pushing through the rad into the case. Anyone else try it? New parts I have ordered: Zotac GTX1070 AMP! Edition Intel i7-6700K Asus Z170-E 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400 C14 DDR4 1.2V Fractal Define S Parts I'm using from my old rig: Corsair H100 Corsair HX850w Mushkin 256GB Chronos Deluxe SSD (Going to be replaced sometime in January or February for an M.2 NVME Drive) 3x 1.5TB WD Green drives (Raid 5) (Also getting replaced within a few months)

Hey guys, I ordered some parts for a rig, and am using a Fractal Core 500 case. I will have two fans on my CPU heatsink towards the back, and one more fan on top of the case (That comes with the case). I am considering using the fans on the heatsink in the back to suck air in, while using a fan on the top to exhaust it. I'm mostly concerned about my blower GPU, since it will exhaust air that will partially get sucked back in. Do you think this could work? Or should I order more fans? How should I go about optimizing this cooling scenario?
