I recently noticed, that whenever I click the start button, or right click on any of the programs on the taskbar, the mouse cursor stutters and disappears for a moment. Sounds like a very minor issue, but actually it can get pretty annoying in the long run. Any ideas what might be causing that? Here's video of the problem: https://streamable.com/6t91dn

I used Nvidia's DSR to do some fancy SSAA on my monitor and then Windows Custom Scaling to set stuff like text and icons to the appropriate size. Now I need to make the cursor smaller to make it look normal and am having quite the headache. Does anyone here know how?

Hey everybody.I have noticed lately, that my cursor lags every 2 seconds whenever my second monitor is turned off. However as soon as I turn it on, it stops? I have never had this issue before. I have tried reinstalling both Windows as well as GPU drivers, nothing works. Im using the AMD Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580, and tried pretty much every supported driver update, i am also running the latest version and build of Windows 10 - anybody know what I can do?

Hey Guys, So I set my 1080p monitor resolution to 4K scaled it to 200% and applied no DSR smoothness in the Nvidia control panel. This resulted in a sharper image because 200% scaling on 4k is exactly the same size as 1080p with 100% scaling, hence 1 or 2 (I'm not completely sure) pixel take up the space of the 4 pixels of native 4k (4 pixels instead of 1/2). However, by default, it's set to 150% scaling which would mean 3 pixels or so instead of one. That's why its blurry on default. In conclusion, setting a 1080p monitor to 4k with 2x scaling and no smoothing sounds like something everyone should do (if windows scaling would be perfect but that's another topic), HOWEVER, the cursor becomes fckn enormous. I tried changing it to a smaller custom one but didn't find any good ones. [sorry for the potato quality images. Screenshoting does not capture the cursor lol]

I'm using windows 10 and I'm looking for a nice, free and simplistic third-party mouse cursor. Any suggestions?

Hi guys, I got a GTX 1060 to replace my dead R9 290 yesterday and one issue I've been having is that f.lux doesn't seem to affect the cursor anymore. At night when f-lux's color temp drops below 4000 the cursor starts looking incredibly bright and blue-ish, since it is the only object on the screen that isn't being dimmed by f-lux. I tried one suggestion which involved setting the cursor trail to -1 in the registry, but that causes it to bug out and completely vanish in fullscreen applications. Is there any known fix for this, or am I just going to have to get used to an annoyingly bright cursor at night?

Hey, I have the Asus Strix 970 GPU. And i think it is failing on me When randomly playing video, the screen might go black for a second while hearing the device disconnect sound playing. After 1 second the screen turns back on, but only have a black screen with the cursor on it. Windows itself is unresponsive, as all audio is gone. Computer boots fine when pressing reset-button on the case... Is my GPU failing, or what....? Thanks for answers ^^

Hi, I got my Chroma delivered about an hour and a half ago. I connected it immediately, updated Synapse and imported old settings from a DeathAdder 3.5G. Played some Overwatch (and noticed the new sensor is no better than that on the 3.5G except for DPI, which isn't a bad thing). In the last 3 minutes of gameplay, the cursor froze 3 or 4 times for half a sec. Basically, it was like I didn't have a mouse in those few seconds. I'd like to know, since it's new - should I have it replaced (it's a "Recertified" mouse), or is it just a software glitch with the driver?

Hey there fellow people of the internet. I have had a problem plaguing me for the past 6 to 8 hours. Every time I power on my computer it boots up normally with the motherboards brand logo appearing and a little loading circle, then after that all hell breaks loose and I loose my sanity more and more I go through this process. After the logo goes away the monitor turns off then turns on again and all that's there is a black screen with the cursor sitting there taunting me. I have read 8 different articles telling me to Log in to my computer blindly or enter safe mode or unplug everything, hell I even tried taking out the computer plug and trying to strangle myself out of frustration and nothing happening. Even my dad said, "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" I also tried booting into the bios as it was starting up which surprisingly worked but it didn't solve anything which only furthered my frustration. I have had windows 10 crash on me a lot ever since I got back from an 11 day long trip. So I would appreciate any sort of help and advice any of you happen to give. My computer has Ultra Durable Gigabyte motherboard GA-B85M-DS3H A micro ATX board An Intel i5 Haswell 4460K 550W EVGA Gold Rated Power Supply 12 GB of Ballistix ram A GT 740 SC factory Overclock and a 1TB Blue Western Digital HDD Side-note: I never planned to game with this hunk crap I only planned to use it for school work and with School starting soon I'd rather have my PC fixed or even a new one if I had to. SO In the end I would appreciate any help I do suspect it's a GPU problem since the one I have had been used a lot by my brother for video games (dunno what he was thinking) OR if not the GPU I suspect a problem with windows 10 itself because I have heard of this happening to other people.

Just made a simple seafoam green and black circular cursour. I personally like it, and I hope everyone else does too! copied from readme: ''Feel free to download share and edit as you like. These are simply three .cur cursours that I made for my own use and thought would be nice to share. To add these to your cursour folder, just drag and drop from the zip folder to C:\Windows\Cursors and allow admin access. Have fun! If you're interested in changing more than just the standard cursour, and would like me to make this an ENTIRE pack, message me detailing such, I'm TerrahBite on steam, and @TerrahMarrephoa on twitter. (If it's gonna have my name on it by Odin it's gonna have green. any other theme you'd like I'm happy to make however) I made these with ''OnlineCursorMaker'' at http://www.rw-designer.com/online-cursor-editor That's it really, thanks. later B) -TerrahBite'' TerrahCursor.7z THAT BE THE DOWNLOAD THERE YA STINKIN OAF

So i have 1080p monitor and 4k monitor dual setup. I would like that when i move my cursor from my screens topside to another screen it would stay at the top. I mean when my cursor is at the very top of my 1080p monitor and i move it to the 4k monitor it is like 10cm lower and i can only move my cursor from the middle of my 4k monitor to 1080p. It just hits a wall if you try to move it from the topside or bottomside. So my pc thinks my monitors are physically like this: http://puu.sh/lQuN7/ab44ad2b05.jpg Any easy fix, to like stretch the 1080p monitor.? I am using windows 10 and Nvidia videocard. Thanks.

For some reason every time I boot up my PC or come out of sleep mode, the mouse cursor disappears. I can still use the mouse to open things and that, but the cursor icon disappears, unril I open a program. Then it comes back. This is annoying and tedious. Any ideas? Oh and if it helps I'm on Windows 10.

When browsing the internet my cursor stopped moving on my Laptop (Toshiba Satellite, windows 10) so i restarted my laptop and it did some updates then once it was done the cursor had vanished and only the touchscreen worked so after restarting again a few more times in attempt to get my cursor back the touchscreen also stopped working. the cursor came back a few times after restarting but i am unable to move it. reading online many forums say "FN F5" but this does work for me. the "FN" (function) key works because i can increase and decrease brightness and volume which requires the function key. so I don't think it is a problem with the function key... Any ideas?

So I have a razer blackwidow and naga plugged into my computer. They were both working fine with no issues however today there was a power cut, one that only lasted for a second but was enough to cause my computer to shut down. When I turned it back on I found that I couldn't move my mouse, first I assumed that the power cut had broken the mouse but then I booted into safe mode. Here the mouse worked fine, when I started synapse the cursor froze again. While doing this my keyboard has worked fine regardless of what is running. I stopped synapse from running at startup then uninstalled it and reinstalled it, this did nothing. I know that it is freezing the cursor in place because when I try and use something other mice it won't move either, team viewer and xpadder are also prevented from being able to move the mouse. I can only assume that an update was applied when the computer restarted but I don't have any system restore points to go back to. I was wondering if anyone knows of this issue or might have an idea of how to fix it, thanks.

I have a HP j021tx, and for some reason whenever I use the trackpad, the cursor jitters up and down. This has started today. There is a little bit of paint that came off the trackpad, It all started happening when I was trying to fix my laptop charging problem. When I use the mouse it works fine for me. My trackpad driver is up to date.

Hello guys! I was curious what themes you guys use (This can be icons, cursors, backgrounds, settings etc etc) and would like to see some suggestions, too. For me I'm currently using the Nitrux icon pack + Dorian Theme + Azenis Cursor via Unity Tweak Tool with a blue background and customized Conky. I was using Numix icons before because I loved them but I wanted something darker. Still haven't really found that yet. Maybe you guys have some for me to steal. *Oh, and the creator of Nitrux has some other cool icon packs if you guys want to check it out. Anyways, looking forward to seeing how you guys have customized your system (pics aren't required but it would be awesome!) and of course any and all suggestions! B) Screenshot of my Ubuntu 14.04.2. So I have had this problem for about a year now and I haven't been able to fix it, the problem is my mouse, it isn't the cursor going mad or the cursor not working, it is not to do with the actual cursor, it is the mouse. When I move the mouse slowly it is as if it moves jerkily like it sticks then unsticks to the mouse pad if that makes sense. I have cleaned the mouse pad and I have cleaned the mouse feet with rubbing alcohol and wiped it off to make sure it was dry but nothing works. Should I dry the mouse feet with a blow dryer after applying some rubbing alcohol or should I use something like a paper towel? This is really annoying me. Please help if possible, thanks. (sorry if my grammar is off I am not English, I am German so please forgive me if I did anything wrong.)

Hi, I recently downloaded a bunch of shady programs and I seem to have inherited a virus, or something of the sort. My mouse cursor is much taller than usual, and occasionally it will appear as a large distorted square. It also doesn't click exactly where the cursor is. It shows up as a normal cursor in screenshots, and I've tried both malwarebytes and Windows Defender, and neither found anything. Please Help.

I recently had a problem with my PC that when installing certain software that used installshield I would get an error that the Remote Procedure Call failed. I checked everything and it sould work but it didn't. Also when I booted into save mode I got an black screen and only an curor when I moved it around ( A problem I hade before when it tried to use an Nvidia driver on my AMD card and I have to boot in save mode to remove both and fix it, no big deal but now in was in save mode ). A few weeks earlier I had some corupted sectors on my SSD and I fixed those with CHKDSK and then refreshed my OS. Assuming this was still a tail of that I fully reinstalled Windows and I tought everything was fine. But today, when installing software that used installshield, I got "Remote Procedure Call failed", and I tried booting in save mode and there was the black screen with blinking cursor again. With a fresh OS, what, at this point, could probably cause this? Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AMD FX8320 ASUS Direct CUII Radeon R9 270X ADATA SP900 128 gb WD 1TB Blue

I've been working on a text editor for canvas that works via javascript. Does anyone know how to translate the mouse cursor to the next line with the enter key? Also is it possible to have it place images in it as well and display a text cursor? This my function for the keys so far: function addletter(letter) { // Gets letter input and adds it to the position of the cursor keyHistory += letter; ctx.clearRect(0, 0, 300, 300); ctx.fillText(keyHistory, 20, 20); } function keyUpHandler(event) { // Gets the user input and adds it as the parameter for the addletter function var letters = "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz"; var key = event.keyCode; if (key > 64 && key < 91) { var letter = letters.substring(key - 64, key - 65); addletter(letter); } if (key == 13){ // keycode for enter } } My canvas is 800 wide by 1200 in height.
