I just built a PC with a MSI B550-A pro and a generic Bluetooth adapter and I have 2 questions 1. I'm just trying to play games with my brother and I can't talk, only audio works. On the Front media panel or whatever its called(new to this PC thing) there are separate audio and microphone jacks and not a combined one. I haven't been able to input through there either. I have tried multiple ports on the front and the back, usb 2 and three. When I connect airpods or my Q20i soundcore headphones, it recognizes it as a voice and audio, then when I try to use it it doesn't work. If I test audio in windows (11) settings, It no longer recognizes it as audio. I am lost. I think its probably not just a bluetooth issue but a hardware issue but who knows. 2. I do have two audio cables (one not pictured but it has an HD audio and an AC'97 and it comes from the lower header) and two other things I didnt plug into the mobo bc I couldn't find where they go and linus didn't mention them in the guide as far as I heard. The black USB and the Italian colored 5V come from the lower front media panel and the audio one comes from the upper.

Hi, im building a new pc only for gaming and the motherboard that i buy came with an extra 6-pin connector labelled " pd_12v_pwr " , is right on the side of the big 24-pin connector. According to the manual it says that provides additional power to the front panel but also to the PCIe x16 slots the build: cpu : 7800x3d mother: Asus ProArt B650-CREATOR User’s Manual ram: 64gb 2x32 6400 mhz gpu: single Rtx 3090 Asus rog psu: Seasonic 1000w gold (SSR-1000FX) https://seasonic.com/focus-plus-gold#specification ssd: 2tb m2 nvme gen4 ¿Can it be left unplugged or is there any risk to damage something like the gpu?

Doing my first build and have been struggling to get the ATX into the motherboard, I've been trying for 2 days now, I've tried to get help everywhere and everyone just tells me to push harder and wiggle, but I've been constantly pushing as hard as I can to the point the motherboard flexes and I've wiggled it plenty, and this is all the progress I can make. There is a little gap and you can see the clip doesn't get under to engage. Do I have a faulty cable or something? The pins are not bent, I attached a picture of them just to make it clear that is not the issue. This has been making my first build a nightmare, would've been one of the last steps before I can finally use it but I'm stuck because of this shit.

Hello i have an advantech SBC PCM9375F and USB pins look like this (see picture) it is just opposite of a normal usb header on a motherboard. Does anyone have any idea how do i deal with this? I need this usb to be used as a boot device because my main disk or ram is corrupted in some way It is an industrial computer and the only other storage option is a IDE 2,5 inch male out made for IDE flash drives so it is useless for HDD unless i find a converter which i cant.. I also cant troubleshoot the IDE flash drive on another computer because of the same problem it has a female connector Im happy to hear any advice or new information thank you in advance

Hi, Today I started building a pc for my dad until i found out my system fan connectors do not fit the system fan headers on my motherboard. So far I've tried everything I can think of, and nothing has solved the issue, ehich is why I came for help here. The motherboard i am using is the Gigabyte Aorus B560i pro AX. You can see the headers, as well as the fan connectors on the pictures attached. I'd be extremely grateful for every tip/solution.

HI, I recently bought an Asus VivoBook K513EA laptop, I saw that it is possible to add an SSD or HDD via a 10-pin adapter to SATA interface (the laptop comes with a 256Gb M.2 drive). Given the difficulty of finding this piece in my country, and buying online is not an option (thanks to the pandemic and government corruption, we no longer have a state postal company) I found an adapter (10 pins) but it indicates compatibility with Lenovo, HP and Huawei Matebook, does not mention anything from Asus. Maybe someone knows if this part is universally compatible? Sorry my bad english

I want to plug a fan into this but i have no clue if this combination of pins will do the job. It is 3 pin, and goes VCC, SW, GND (in order) I haven't ever used this type of config for pins before.

Hi guys, need help figuring what needs RMA Friend has a ASUS Prime B550M-A motherboard and a corsair RM750 PSU PC wasn't turning on one day. Motherboard LED is on but PC doesn't turn on. No fan spin. While troubleshooting found that if you move the 24pin connector cable the PC will turn on and will turn off if you moved it. It was fully seated in the connector. Similar thing happens if we flex the board a bit. We swapped out the RM 750 for a CV 550 and working no problem Put the RM 750 into a MSI B450M A pro max, working no problem Tried pulling and bending the connector in both cases and had zero issues Put the RM750 and Asus Prime B550M-A together and issue comes back PC build CPU: Ryzen 3600 GPU: Galax 1650S mobo: ASUS Prime B550M-A PSU: RM 750 RAM: 2 x 8 Ballistics 2666 Storage: Samsung 870 500gb Case: Deep cool Macube 310

Can anyone post up part numbers for the RGB connector in the pics? I know they are on Amazon with wires pre-terminated but I’m after the connector/pins only. I’m trying to find them on supplier sites and need specifics. Thanks

Hi can you please help me out by identifying the name type for the ARGB header on my GPU - see attached image with circled connector. I thought it was a VDG connector but I’m wrong. It is four pins wide with the third pin missing. The pins are fine like VDG, so a 5V ARGB female connector doesn’t fit — it’s too chunky to fit past the backplate. What I’m looking for is an extension cable so I can cable manage the lead running from the GPU RGB header to the ARGB header on my ASUS Strix motherboard. The cable supplied with my GPU is too short by miles. Thanks for the help.

I need some help identifying this connector. It's work related so not for my personal computer or anything. The connector goes on the end of an infrared eye receiver. That receives signal from a wireless remote in order to change various settings on a windows based media device. IThat device has a separate decoder board from the motherboard. That board has flat connectors/pins that this connector fits onto. It's not the type of plug I would normally expect to be seen for this application and to be honest its a poor connector. It regularly falls off and gets damaged which is why we need more of them. I don't know if they are a proprietary connector or if they are just uncommon but I've looked everywhere. Without the specific knowledge it has proven difficult to find and so far I have been unable to identify it. I've included a couple of pictures of the connector and one very badly cropped image of the space it plugs into. Don't have a better photo at the moment unfortunately. Thanks for the help in advance. Tom

To all those with more knowledge about RGB than myself, Can someone please help me out by identifying the name type for the ARGB header on my GPU - see attached image with circled connector. I thought it was a VDG connector but I’m wrong. It is four pins wide with the third pin missing. The pins are fine like VDG, so a 5V ARGB female connector doesn’t fit — it’s too chunky to fit past the backplate, plus the pins are square not round like the header on a motherboard as well as being finer/slender What I’m looking for is an extension cable so I can cable manage the lead running from the GPU RGB header to the ARGB header on my ASUS Strix motherboard. The cable supplied with my GPU is too short by miles. FYI for those curious — It’s for a PowerColor Red Devil 6800 Thanks in advance for the help.

I bought a new Phanteks P400A to replace my old P400S. The old one was banged up and I wanted a white case. I have a separate Phanteks led strip in the old case and want to put that in the new one. However I can't find the connector for it and it is driving me nuts. The old case has a 4 pin connector with a nice large label on it saying "Connect this connector with Phanteks Multi-color LED strips only". I've gone through the new case multiple times but can't find a similar connector. There is a D-RGB cable, but that is for connecting to the mobo (as I understand it). Am I missing something here, the 'quick' manual seems to suggest the connector should be there. Anyone have any ideas? Added a picture of the connector in the old case and the led strip connector.

So i wanted to make my front panel audio working on my pc, but there is a little bit problem, i use my old case to save budget HP DC7100CMT from 2004. Because its old i decided to check the front panel audio connector connections using a multimeter and i found something strange. some of the connector is shorted. After i check on the manual i found out the shorted connector. Front panel connector perfectly fit to the motherboard header. Pin 2 (Ground) and pin 7(FAUDIO_JD) Short Pin 5 (Line2_Right) and pin 6 (SENSE) Short pin 9 (Line3_Left) and pin 10 (SENSE) Short Mobo : Aorus B450 Elite 1. What does FAUDIO_JD and SENSE means? 2. Is this normal?

Hi, so I just bought some fans for my case (be quiet silent wings 3 120mm) and my motherboard has only 2 Chassis Fan connectors. Is there any way to connect more? Isn't there like something that connects more at a time... Here's my motherboard: PRIME B450M-A | Motherboards | ASUS USA Thanks for suggestions!

Hello there. I don't know much about powersupplies but while choosing the right one for my future build I found something that I can't seem to understand. So in the listed connectors for most powersupplies they have a 8-pin +12V Power connector (for the CPU). All clear for now. Some units however have instead of this connector a 4+4 pin EPS one or a 4+4 Pin ATX/EPS. So could someone tell me if a EPS 4+4 is going to work with a normal AM4 motherboard or do I have to find a non-EPS one. My motherboard is an Asrock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 and the power supply I plan on using is the Deepcool DQ750ST (the EPS connector one I mentioned above). Thanks in advance!

The question that I have / discussion that I would like to start is the following: What is the best way to move one GPU between two PCs? The goal would be to make the dis- reconnecting as fast as possible, without wearing down components that are not meant to be used this way. My current idea is to use a GPU riser to move the GPU away from the motherboard and to protect the motherboard connectors. Using some spare PSU connectors and a little bit of soldering/crafting I'd then create a separate connector for power (to protect the GPU power-connector from wear). Are there any better methods? Maybe some drive bay-hotswappable style connectors that I'm not aware of? For those wo wonder why you would want to do that, currently I regularly move between two places where in each I have a PC, one is for gaming one is for productivity, moving one single whole PC would be way too much effort, and I'm using public transport to get around which would make this very awkward. As the GPU could be used in both builds (although being bottlenecked in the productivity PC) and is for both PCs the single most expensive item I thought "hey if I can't move the whole PC how about just the GPU?", which brought me to reddit, various other forums and now this place, the GPU easily fits in a protective bag and can be transported in my backpack.

Hi guys! I'm a first time builder. I have a 2x8pin GPU and I can't for the life of me figure out which PSU connectors to use for it... DO I use the PSU to PCIE 6+2's?? If so I have one with the PSU that daisy-chained another 6+2 on it, so it's like a 2x(6+2) (it has fancy braiding around it) ... ... ... and I have two other separate PSU to PCIE cords that are individual 6+2's... (no fancy braiding). Additionally, to which PSU section would I plug in the PSU end of the cords? PCIE, PERIPHERAL, SATA, ???

what is the 4 pin looking thing below my 2 other connector on the HDD? Is it important to plug in? If so, what and where?
