Whenever I turn up or down by one step the scroll wheel on my mouse, the left click button stops responding, and when I turn it again it fixes itself. Any idea of what could be causing this? The mouse is a Marvo G909

Hey guys, whenever I go onto YouTube to try and watch a video, I am never able to play a video when I click on it. My mouse works fine, and I can still play the video if I right click and choose to open it in another tab but it is very annoying an I want to know if you guys have every bumped into this problem or if you know the solution to it. YouTube worked fine yesterday, and it's just started to happen. Thank you, appreciate it a lot.

I was looking at the new Logitech series and it's marketed to have less click force, but all reviewers that I've seen don't really mention it at all. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them of any kind and knows if it's just marketing junk or not. Also, are there any other mice with less click force? Also, light mice are what I want. I have a fingertip grip style and my g400s is heavy.

Certain programs take longer than others to load. And it's not just that it takes longer, it takes a REALLY long time, like, 20 minutes later. Chrome, my Runescape Client, and not much else. But I also have this other issue where File Explorer crashes on right click, whether it be on an empty space or a file. Even when I try to bypass right click by left clicking the file to select it and then going to the file top on the top of the explorer, this too causes file explorer to crash. Is there any test that I can run to determine the source of the problem, or has anyone also experienced this before. Either Google can't help me or my Google-fu is weak. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Whenever I right click on my C drive Windows Explorer crashes. This doesn't effect anywhere else, just when I right click directly on my local disk. I assume this is something in my context menu there that just freaks out and dies when I right click, but I don't know how to tell what it'd be or see what's in my context menu. Furthermore, I have no clue how to delete dll files. I installed Windows DreamScene about a week ago, and it'd make some degree of sense if that was causing it. Thanks!

I have created a pretty simple python script, but have come across an error on line 10(code below). Here is the documentation for the header I am using, in case you need it https://pyautogui.readthedocs.org/en/latest/ . Basically, when i use the click function on a link i get this error. I have a Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition 2014 and I noticed after replacing keycaps and adding dampeners that the 6 key does not click. I'm not sure if it was like this from the start or if it came up recently. Either way, it's bothering me a lot. I read up on some threads started by people with non-clicking Cherry MX-Blues and people suggested 1. blowing compressed air into the switch 2. dumping isopropyl alcohol into the switch 3. cleaning the switch with WD-40 (somewhat sketchy) 4. blowing into the switch 5. waiting it out until the switch gets past its "break-in" period. Which one of these would you suggest? Not only does my switch not click, it's also a tiny bit less smooth than the others and requires a bit more force to bottom out. I suspect there's dust or something inside the switch that's causing it not to click.

My Asus VS278Q-P of probably 2 years has recently started to make a clicking/popping sound which only happens around 5 minutes after being "shut off" (sleep mode) It then persists for about 10 minutes and seems to get a little quieter and take a little longer after each click/pop until it eventually stops all together. I haven't noticed the sound when the monitor is on, actively displaying something. Is my monitor going to die soon or something? I doubt it's related but I believe it was a couple months ago I noticed these two spots that are always abnormally bright. It may not be easy to see in the picture, but I can still see them . I have no idea what this issue is either. It's not dead pixels, it's not brighter pixels, it appears to be two dots with backlight bleed. Thanks for any help

Alright guys so I got rid of my Be quiet straight power 10 because it was giving me uncontrollable coilwhine at uncertain times. Now I got myself the Cooler master v650 Semi modulair. Install went fine. Booted up quiet. no complains there. But when I was satisfied and wanted to turn my pc off I heard a loud pop/click/tick (like flicking a switch) right before it lost power. I booted up and shut down a couple more times to make sure but yeah there is a rather loud sound. does anyone know what this is? or do I need to RMA this one as well?

This is my first build, and when I got everything put together and pressed the power button, it wouldn't come on (nothing on screen). The fans were running (including the CPU cooler), a light would appear on the GPU, and the lights on the case worked. The PSU would continously click until I powered the machine off. After reading up, my thought was that it might be a bad motherboard. I disconnected everything from the PSU except the mobo, and same clicking. Thinking it might be some sort of circuitry issue with the board, I removed everything and set the motherboard out by itself (didn't remove the CPU). Now when connecting the PSU to it, absolutely nothing happens. It doesn't seem to do anything when I connect it to the GPU either. I don't have any parts to cross check with. Is it a defective PSU, motherboard, both, neither? Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xYFzwP

Hello guys! As You may or may not recall I was having difficulties with strange "click" like sound coming from my pc, mostly at load. I have finally found the location and origin of the noise. But first, just for a reminder: the click-noise was happening frequently under heavier load/gaming scenarios, and sounded a bit like if something was delicately hitting the side of the case, then after 15 sec hitting once again, and so on. I discovered that the noise was coming from the cpu location and it wasn't the cpu-heatsink fan. I don't have any idea what caused it, but downclocking to 4.2 ghz from 4.6ghz (on my fx 8350) and downvolting from 1.392 to 1.332 resolved the issue completely. Now for the final question: What, by your opinion, could have been causing the click-like sound? And, if the very sound was indeed so dependent on cpu oc, does it mean I could have, like, damaged my cpu or anything like that? Performance stays fine, I stressed and benched the heck out of my vishera. Not a single flaw after downclocking.

Hello guys! I've been hearing click noises coming from my PC for some time now, and I wonder, what could be causing them. It seems to be related with idle/load modes. What happens is that, mostly under load, from time to time, I hear a noticeable CLICK. It doesn't persist, its just a single click/tick noise, like if some case-gnome just flipped some switch or something. I wouldn't lie if I told You that good 8 out of ten of those clicks happen under load. Is it some rpm controller in a gpu that is responsible for that or what are Your ideas? The sound overall aint that big of a deal, as its not creepingly loud. I'm just curious. So, what do You guys think?

Right click on Drive in Explorer.exe kills the program
_Art3mis_ posted a topic in Operating Systems
Every time I right-click on one of my drives in the explorer, the explorer.exe kills itself ("explorer.exe is not functioning right" => restart program). My specs: 120GB SSD 2TB SSHD Win7 64Bit (for more detailed information, look at my profile) Please help me  -
Hey forum, I'm currently in safe mode (my eyes hurt) and that is because my mouse, or I should say something on the software level related to the mouse, just went completely haywire and is about to make me do the same. I get this random clicking about 3-5 times a second, very fast, and the left- and rightclick seem to be taking turns with it. It started about an hour ago when my mouse started holding the leftclick even after I had let the physical button go. From there it rapidly got worse until I am now at the point where I can only use the PC in safe mode, because I can't even enter my windows password because of the clicking. It's not a hardware problem, I've already tested a different mouse and everything works fine in safe mode. I personally suspect it may be a virus, even though I can't remember downloading anything from any sketchy websites, lately. But the way it started slowly and became so bad it rendered the whole computer pretty much useless, it just smells like virus to me. I have Avast! and its on auto-update, so I'm not sure how that got past, but anyways... Now I'm stuck in safe mode and don't know what to do. I'm currently letting Avast run a complete scan and hope it finds something. Has anybody had this problem before, any ideas on what it could be and what I can do to get rid of it ASAP? I hate safe mode...

I just got this card a week ago and I noticed something strange. The card is silent when idling. When gaming however after some time one of the fans begins to click/chirp. I looked at the fan several times and I do not see anything that would cause the fans to click. Also when I manually raise the fan speed to 60% or higher, the fan noise is gone. Could the barrings be bad? If so should I RMA or return it to Amazon? Also is it possible that if I were to RMA, could MSI send me a card then I ship the card back to them? I have a few upcoming projects. Also this might be worth mentioning but I think it is a separate issue, the card has coil whine although before I got this card I had two EVGA GTX 760 cards that had bad coil whine. The whine on the MSI card is not bothersome as the EVGA cards. Here is my build: i5-3570 Asrock Z75 Pro3 1155 MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming OC Corsair CX500M Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB RAM Segate 1 TB

I have a windows 7 operating system. In the lower right of my screen there is a "BOX" that i cannot click anything in. Its like an invisible void.. I cannot click anything there when using the internet, skype, battlelog from BF3. However in a video game things work fine.. So help me.... The one change that has occured was a mouse change a week before the issue began... However the mouse works fine it seems and its almost as if there is an invisible box. MCafee has warned me every day that there is a virus and i click remove but it willnot let me remove it.... Maybe Mcafee is the issue? Help please. thanks.

Hey, I just bought myself a new soundcard that can run/drive my 150Ohm Headset. I ended up buying the Xonar D2X, the card is used but I was allowed to test before I paid anything (600 NOK or 100 USD). I have 2 minor issues now which I don’t really know how to fix or if it’s normal: Issue #1: Every time I turn the computer on I can hear a click sound coming from the soundcard (The sound wasn't there before I put the soundcard in), is this normal? I have my GPU in the top PCIx16 slot and my soundcard in the bottom PCIx1 slot. Issue #2: I’ve used the soundcard since Sunday, and people that I’ve been talking to on Skype have been complaining about some weird sounds that comes and goes when I play Garry’s mod (haven’t really tested other games). I know about this issue with Razer headsets but I’ve never heard about this with my headset (specs below). Not really an issue #3: Does anybody know about any good drivers that is better than both the Unified and original drivers? I’m using some modified original drivers which gives it a tad more bass. Specifications: · Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit · MSI Z77-GD65 w/ i7-2600k @Stock · 4x4GB (16GB) Kingston Hyper X Blu · ASUS GTX 580 @Stock · Samsung 840 (120GB) · 2,5TB HDD’s (1x2TB 1x500GB) · Cooler Master Silent Pro M 1000W · Sennheiser PC350 · ASUS Xonar D2X Is there any more information you guys need?

Hi! I just bought an MSI GTX 780Ti Gaming, but the issue is that there's an annoying ticking noise coming from it every 6.5 seconds. I've tried stopping the fans, but that doesn't help. I'm sure it's the graphics card, since it started right after I installed it. If you'd like, I can upload a recording of the sound to Youtube so you can hear it. Thanks in advance! -Frederik
