I have an MSI b350m motherboard that my brother gave me because it doesn't work. We've tried different ram sticks and even processors. He gave up and bought a b450 and uses it now and gave the old one to me. The only indicators we got was the ram light and cpu light. Everything we tried with it worked fine in the b450. We are out of warranty for it because we thought it was the processor (2nd gen) but my brother bought a 1st Gen ryzen 7 on sale and tried it in that...4 months later. It's an MSI b350m gaming pro. Hi guys I want to buy new RAM for my Ryzen 5 1600 Asus Prime B350 Plus PC. I will probably upgrade to a R5 3600 or better in a few years. What memory speed should I get? 3200 for ~80 euros? 3000 for ~60-70 euros? or fasterfor about ~90-100 euros? How much of a difference will it make for this system in gaming when paired with something like a GTX 1070 or Vega 56? Thanks for your advice.

Right now I got a Ryzen 5 1600 and GTX 1070 and 8gb of ram (i know its not enough another, stick is on its way) and the Ryzen 7 2700X is on sale for only $200 (I bought my 1600 new for $210)! I really think I should buy it but I am not sure if my B350 motherboard will work with it. I heard some people say you have to change stuff in the bio but I'm not sure. Will a 2700X work in a B350 motherboard and is it worth the upgrade from a 1600? TIA!

Hi, I need help troubleshooting my pc. I am using a Ryzen 7 1700 on b350 msi tomahawk with 2x 8 gb kingston hyper x 2400mhz rams. All speeds are stock or on msi game boosted to 3200 mhz for cpu. The problem I am having is that while using the pc it started to hang up or just post bsod with windows stop code SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED After this happened a couple of times in span of few minutes during which I noted vcore at 1.408 with game boost on and cpu at 3.7 ghz, I wasnt able to post. Afterwards I played with changing rams, gpus, hard disks, peripherals and finally Thinking that it's high vcore I removed cmos battery to apply stock settings after which the system finally posted and I went into bios the vcore was still at 1. 408 with cpu speed at 3 ghz regardless the system booted windows but in a min or two regardless u log in or not it would go bsod with the same stop code as mentioned before, the computer will remain responsive as long as it's in bios booting windows or trying to install a fresh copy on different hdd will lead it to hanged up. Even after manually restricting the vcore to 1.1 the vcore remains constant at 1.408 and above as measured at bios. Other voltages like 3.3v 5v and 12v remain good. I believe my motherboard is unable to regulate vcore? or the cpu is being a problem? Now I don't have spare cpu or motherboard to hit and trial so need an expert opinion and oh I did flash the latest bios but it didn't make slightest of a difference

Hey guys so i Recently build a Ryzen 5 2400g Based Computer (pic related), to a friend that wanted to use 2 monitors, 1 Vga monitor and an hdmi TV, the monitor will be used for tasks such as office work and other shit while the tv is meant to do the actual couch gaming but the problem lies that with both connected it will only display on the tv and not recognize the monitor at all, the monitor itself works in the Bios with no problem which leads me to believe its a configuration/software related issue, but in the past ive never had this so im unfamilliar we also tried the following A newer 1080 monitor, does not work Newest drivers, and older drivers, did not work going to try a DVI to HDMI cable for the monitor, but we would like it to be solved without spending money safe mode, did not work Specs are as Follow Ryzen 5 2400g 16gb 2666 ddr4 ASRock AB350M PRO4 Adata SX8000 NVME Cooler Master 650 MWE 80+ psu GameFactor GS500 case

Hi all, so i have a MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard which has RGB capabilities, by default the RGB lights are set to red which works with my build so i never really messed with it until today. When i downloaded the software and tried to launch it (after a pc reboot) it gave me a prompt that said "This platform is not supported" and won't launch the actual program despite my motherboard chipset (B350) being listed as supported on the website. Thanks!

So I bought a Ryzen 3 2200g CPU, an HP EX900 M.2 SSD, and an ASRock B350 Gaming ITX/ac motherboard for a small home server build I'm doing. I hoped to use the SSD as a boot drive so I don't have to wait on the slow WD Red to do the boot sequence, but the SSD doesn't seem to be detected by the BIOS or by the Ubuntu 18.04 installer. I've read that the Vega graphics on the CPU take up some of the PCIe lanes that the M.2 slot would normally use, but even with a discrete gpu installed and the bios set to use external graphics the drive does not show up. I've also updated the BIOS as far as it currently goes (v5.30 from the included v4.70) and it has made no difference either. I've dug around in the BIOS and found an "Enable NVMe" setting that says "set this to enabled if nvme device is not detected" but that didn't help either. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hey everyone, Just finished building a Ryzen 7 1700 system using an MSI B350M Arctic Mortar motherboard. I am using 2x4GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX 2800 MHz RAM, but if I install them in the 2nd and 4th dimms as per manual, Windows only shows 4gb usable and 4gb reserved. If I use the first two slots Windows shows all 8gb as usable, but then it is only running in single channel. I have confirmed all 4 dimms detect the ram, by using a single stick in each slot one slot at a time. Also I can only get the 2800 mhz XMP profile to work when only one stick is installed in the second slot. Any help would really be appreciated! Thanks.

Helllo, Guys I am having this problem that my build is not giving Display . Booting is sured on keybaord but no display at all . I troubleshoot it and found that My GPU Asus GTX 750 PHOC 2GB GDDR5 is the problem here . Then I used r7 370 and it gives display in no time , at that moment I thought older gpus won’t work but then I used 9500 gt and it also works perfectly . These both gpus were borrowed from my friend And I had to return them . My gpu gtx 750 is also working fine on my older system but not on ryzen build . I tried many things : updating Bios of motherboard updating bios of gpu different ram slots Reattached wires and connectors perfectly many times installed ryzen drivers and much more my Ryzen Build : AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Asus Prime B350m-A motherboard 8 GB DDR4 2666 mhz Ram Asus GTX 750 PHOC 2GB GDDR5 Thermaltake 600w PSU Seagate 1tb HDD WIndows 10 64 bit Viewsonic 1920 x 1080 60Hz LCD Gigabyte Alpha Casing Gigabyte 2x 140 mm fans my Old System: HP system Amd Phenom ( office build ) first pic while using AMD r7 370 second one of whole my build with gtx 750

Hey yall, I got some questions around this pair up because I have seen some scary comments on this same forum about them together. On this forum here some users say that the VRMs could overheat while using the 2600 and that you shouldn't get that board for this CPU. Also, would there be any other scares or worries I should know about? (I am on a budget so this is a pretty good Price-to-Performance rig I whipped up for both gaming and video editing) (I already called my local MemEx and they can update the BIOS if needed) Planned Rig: CPU - Ryzen 5 2600 GPU - Nvidia RTX 2060 MOB - ASUS ROG Strix B350-F Gaming RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) 2666MHz SSD - Samsung 860 Evo 2.5'' 1TB HDD - Seagate BarraCuda 2TB PSU - Corsair CX550M

So recently i tried to overclock my Ryzen 5 1600 but i can't get it to or above 4.0Ghz without having to put the Voltages to ABSURD levels for it to be stable. So did i just lose the silicon lottery or is it something to do with my board which is the Msi B350 Gaming Pro Carbon or is there something i'm doing wrong?

Hi, i'm having issues with my Ryzen overclock. I've owned my current PC for well over a year now and have been running an overclock on it since i bought the system. I purchased the Ryzen platform due to its good overclocking potential. Everything has been working flawlessly until recently. Out of the blue i have been receiving an error message sporadically which stops me from booting into windows. *screenshot from google* Loading optimised defaults works, but I then I dont have my overclock anymore. If I only overclock my memory to 3000mhz the PC boots fine. As soon as i bump up the CPU by 0.1ghz it will come up with the error again. I have also flashed the BIOS with the latest firmware f25. Also not sure if its relevant but I have noticed a substantial decrease in CineBench performance since building the system from roughly 1272 to 1075 My specs are; GPU: MSI GTX 1070 CPU: ryzen 5 1600 (was previously able to achieve 3.9ghz OC with +0.138V dynamic Vcore added) RAM: 2x8gb (16gb total) 3000mhz corsair vengence LPX MOBO: gigabyte AB350-Gaming 3 PSU: Corsair RM750i Any insights would be appreciated.

Hi there. I'm looking to upgrade my Ryzen 2200G --> Ryzen 5 3600. I'm currently using the MSI B350M Mortar as my motherboard. MSI's website says it's compatible with Zen 2, but there has been no BIOS update since? I'm a little confused on this one. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Hi. Im upgrading a pc right now. Mobo msi b350 mate stays the same and also the ram stays the same. Im upgrading the gpu from a 1060 to a 5700xt and the cpu from ryzen 5 1700 to a ryzen 3800x. When I finished the build and turned the pc on I got the red cpu light. Could the compatibility between the b350 mate and the ryzen 3800x be a problem. Or any other ways to fix? Ive tried most of em. Thanks in advance and kind regards Tomas

Greetings everyone My PC has been working flawlessly for 1,5 year now. Today I swapped my GTX 1050ti for 1060. Everything was working ok, then I swapped back to 1050ti to run some benchmarks and make sure everything is ok with it before I sell it. I put it and turn on the pc, but forgot to plug in the power 6pin cabel, so I had to shut down the PC. After I plugged the 6pin cabel and turn on PC, I don't get any display and my keyboard and mouse LED's don't lit up, so I assume they don't work. Every system, CPU and GPU fan work, also LED's on motherboard and GPU work fine. The EZ DEBUG led's lit up in that order: 1. CPU and DRAM ON at the same time 2. CPU and DRAM OFF at the same time 3. CPU ON, then DRAM ON. 4. Both OFF at the same time Then points 3 and 4 repeat a few times. What have I tried to fix it? 1. Tried with one memory stick at the time. I tried both memory sticks, it didnt help. 2. Reseted CMOS by both removing battery, then shorting CMOS pins 3. Unplugged every drive and USB device excluding mouse and kb. 4. Tried both graphics cards. Nothing has helped. I assume that either MOBO or PSU is not working properly. Can I do anything else to fix it? My PC is: MOBO: MSI B350 Tomahawk CPU: ryzen 1200 GPU: Msi GTX 1050ti / Zotac AMP GTX 1060 6GB PSU: bequiet System Power 8 (500W with 80 Plus) DRAM: Patriot Viper 2x4GB 3000MHz

Hello everyone, if i buy a amd ryzen 3 1200, will it go with ASRock AB350 Pro4? without any problems

Hi everybody, I'm using this PC (specs bellow) since almost two years and never had problems with it. This weekend I had to move it between two houses (cause I got vacations and came to my parent's house), so I normally disconnected all the cables and put the PC in the car. I was careful enough to carry the PC with me the entire trip to make sure nothing would collide with it or something. So, at this point the PC was working perfectly. When I arrived I started remounting the desktop and when I turn it on no video appeared in the screen (I tested both my monitor and its HDMI adapter in my laptop and it is working fine). The CPU fan was running perfectly, the MOBO leds are on, but the lights of the USB devices did not turned on and in the monitor just appeared "No Video Input". So, that's my problem: No video output, CPU fan running, MOBO leds (decoration only) working, USB devices does not receive power, and it doesn't seems to boot up at all. Before continuing with what I tried to do, my specs are: Asus Prime B350M-A, The last BIOS update I remember of doing was the AGESA 1002 update, and it was about a year and half ago Ryzen 5 2400g 2x8GB DDR4 2400Mhz from China (16GB total, never had problem with those sticks before, both sticks are the same model) No dedicated GPU, I use the Vega 11 from Ryzen EVGA 500w PSU Raid 0 between two Kingston A400 240gb Sata SSDs (480GB total, this is my boot device, Windows 10 directly Microsoft installed) An old 1TB HDD from my old laptop I also had RGB led strips and additional RGB fans that I disconnected some weeks before So, I disconnected every single device, both USB and SATA. Left only the Mobo, the Ryzen, one stick of memory, the power button and the monitor, and tried to turn on again. Again, the same black screen. I also tried changing the RAM slots, removing the RAM completely, and removing the CMOS battery for some minutes. Nothing changed: The blank screen persist and the USB devices does not turn on. I also noticed that sometimes pressing the power button for some seconds does not cause the PC to turn off, and sometimes it does. I have knowledge about hardware (actually a technical degree, but I don't work in the area), and I work as a software developer. So I'm not a complete beginner, but at this point I don't know what to do anymore. I also don't have any friends near me that uses AM4 (neither DDR4) to test single components. So, thank you all for reading, hope someone can help me

Hello, I'm planning on building a PC (once I get sufficient funds) that's going to use a Ryzen 2600. Is it possible to use a B350 mothrrboard instead of a B450 ir an X470 motherboard? I've heard that you'd need a regular Zen CPU to install the BIOS for the Zen+ to work. Is this true? How would I flash the BIOS? Is it possible to contact AMD and get a low-end AM4 CPU to do it? Please help. Tell me if you need me to clarify.

I am planning on R5 2400g gaming build and I'm stuck.Should choose a good B350 or B450 mobo or 16 gig ram?If ram is the one i choose,i'll have to buy a A320 board.Similarily if i buy a B350 mobo,i can only buy 8 gig ram.Which one should I Sacrifice? I might not buy a dgpu(1050ti or 570) soon.

Hi, on Christmas day me and my girlfriend are building our first PC together! We have everything we need at the moment we're just lacking a case.our parts are:Ryzen 5 1600ASUS ROG STRIX 1070MSI Tomahawk B35016gb Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3000MhzCorsair TX650M(I have a old HDD we'd be using for now until we get a SSD)We're planning on attempting to overclock the CPU to 3.7 or 3.8ghz with the stock cooler. (We'd prefer an aftermarket cooler but our budget has exceeded a lot as it is lol)do you think this is achievable?A case we've both agreed we like is NZXT H500 but I've seen mixed reviews about the airflow of this case, I'm wondering if I'd be able to achieve ok temps with this case if I maybe add a couple of 140mm fans on the front? We also like the look of NZXT S340 but torn between the two. We'd be using the PC for gaming, streaming now and then, music production and video editing, thanks!

Is this ram compatible with my motherboard?
Sgt.Mak posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Heyyo,,, So I have B350 gaming pro motherboard with a 1st gen Ryzen 1600, And I got this ram to go with it. I wanted to know is it compatible with my motherboard? I can't seem to get it to the 2666Mhz speed... its locked at 2133Mhz. Here is a screenshot of the detailed info by cpuz: -Mak
