I have a Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 with BIOS P3.40, the CPU is a 2600x. Any users of this board here? I've noticed that the option "Internet Flash-DHCP" is missing, not present. I'm pretty sure it was there after my last bios update, or did the update remove it? Also, I don't have the North and South Bridge folders, I can't find the Cool 'n' Quiet setting that I see on the manual.

Please forgive, This is my 1st post Hi I am having problems getting my ram to work at full speed, It is running at 2133Mhz not 3600Mhz. This appears to be a problem for a lot of people and I have exhausted a lot of attempts to get it to work. 1. I have checked that my system is able for it on CPU-Z 2. I have updated my Bios to the most recent, I selected the XMP and saved my settings, 3. I downloaded Ryzen Master and DRAM Calculator ran these software and returned to my Bios and manually changed a load of settings. 4. I have my setting good enough to run my computer but not get my ram up to 3600Mhz 5. Ryzen master will not let me enter the values for my XMP 3600 due to Fabric clock larger than Memory clock 5. I have not been able to find an answer. I have attached an image of my settings I changed and my information gathered and used, which I believe is visible, I would really appreciate some help and or direction. Hey All, I've got a problem that is driving me freaking up the wall. I have an ASRock B450M Pro4 motherboard, Ryzen 3700x, 32gb of Corsair Vengeance Ram (8gbx4), and after an uncertain number of bootups, it will power cycle itself like a failed overclock, and lose the XMP settings. I am on Bios version 4.90 (Latest revision), and I've tried versions, 4.60, 4.30, and 4.20, and it doesn't resolve the issues. I've also ran Memtestx86 on it, and let it run overnight and no errors found. Still having the issues. It keeps defaulting back to 2133mhz for the memory speed when it does this. Can anyone help? Hoping Anthony might see this since he did the video on this board, and might be able to help or at least throw in his 2 cents. Any help is welcome as long as I can get this to quit doing this. Thank You! Jeremiah

asrock 63C safe for x570 chipset and vrm?
Tech Reprise posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Is low 60’s safe temps for vrm and chipset? I moved to a Lancool 215 which has opposite pressure compared to my previous case so temps are a bit high around +3-4C on chipsets and vrm. -
System: CPU Intel i5 6500T GPU: Tested with 0 GPUs (so only intel onboard graphics) or 1 GPU RX vega64 on the x16 slot RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz (but running @ 2133 Mhz cl15) 28GB and Gskill trident Z RGB running at 2133 Mhz 28GB SSD: SATA ADATA 512 GB OS:windows 10 pro 64bit PSU: Corsair HX1200i ATX 24pin connected CPU 8 pin connected Two additional onboard molex connectors (tried to connect them both and disconnect them both) GPU 2 8pin incase of using the RX vega 64. CPU cooler fan 4 pin connected Keyboard and mouse connected on individual USB 2.1 slots Windows installattion usb What happens? A) System restarts to a black screen with PSU fan spinning loudly and CPU cooler spinning loudly keyboard and mouse lights are not lighting (vega 64 FANS - when I have it installed - are not spinning). B) System reboots continuously before posting within seconds C) System posts (If I try to enter bios by clicing the del button it does either "A" or "B") and then it also reaches the windows logo loading screen which at this point it does either "A" or "B" D) System posts and If I try to push del I can get into the bios but if I leave it there on the bios screen for like 10 minutes or so it does either "A" or "B" Note: I never managed to install windows 10 on it, on the very first boot to install windows everything seemed fine, it posted then loaded the USB installation stick I went through the dialogues and it detected and formated my SSD and proceeded with the installation once some files were copied it displayed the usual countdown "your stytem will restart in 10 seconds" but it rebooted imediatelly on the first second doing resulting to "A" I tried setting Clear CMOS jumper and removing the battery for an hour or so while the PSU cable was off the system. I tried reseating the RAM both in dual channel and single channel and using different slots with different dims in single channel I tried reseating the CPU I tried with 1 GPU and without any GPU on (so onboard graphics) I tried booting it with 0 GPUs no SATA, no keyboard, no mouse, no lan, no usb stick Every combination above results to either A, B, C or D am I missing something or is the board DoA? If "D" happens I am afraid to update the bios since it could just do "A" or "B" in the middle of the installation, do you think I should risk it given the situation or try something else first?

Hello there, I've installed my windows on Samsung 970 EVO PLUS (I'm pretty sure) But in the motherboard bios settings it's showing that the Windows Boot Manager is Samsung EVO 860 and M.2 SSD as the 2nd option. But if i change the boot priorities as the m.2 first and Windows boot manager (SATA SSD) 2nd the windows can't load it crashes. Is there any problem ? So, I'm building a budget pc and I picked up a used ASRock B450M Gaming motherboard for it. I can't find ANY information about this Gaming model at all, ASRock doesn't even list it on their website for any bios updates or cpu compatibility lists. I even tried emailing ASRock technical support about it and they said to "contact your dealer" but I got it used so I don't have a dealer. Does anyone know where I can find any information on this board regarding bios updates or anything else about it? Any help would be appreciated.

Just 2hrs back my system was not booting into my Primary SSD (C:)/Windows and it kept bootlooping into Advanced Recovery. If I selected Safe mode it booted into it. Now I thought that Motherboard or my ssd was damaged so I installed a Windows 20H2 on my Backup SSD E:/ that I use for games. It Installed and booted fine. Then I tried booting into my OLD installation and to my Surprise it booted fine. Now can anyone tell what just happened to my PC? Did my MBR get corrupted or bugged that prevented Windows booting into Normal mode? Previously faced issues with my motherboard RGB Software (Polychrome RGB). Whenever I ran it it BSODed and then on restart my main nvme SSD vanished meaning it was not detected and only other drives showed up. Only after full shutdown it detected the NVME.

So I impulsive bought my CPU because I really want my pc built, and on my box of my mother board, it says it’s 3000 ready. To try and keep track of everything I have, i plugged all my parts into PCBuilder and it says I will have comparability issues. I bought the Ryzen 5 3600 for information wise. After doing some research, I have seen that I might need to do a BIOS update in order for it to work, so my question is: I thought that it said “3600 Ready” and not “3000 Ready”, is this particular ASRock motherboard able to do a BIOS update without an installed CPU? If not, I have seen people say to contact AMD to see if they can send almost like a blank CPU so put on there while I do a BIOS update. Does anyone have any experience with this motherboard/cpu combo or anything similar. I’m getting really worried that I bought the wrong CPU and will not be able to boot up PC on build day.

Hello everyone! Just recently built a system with a 5800x and a Asrock Ph-Gaming itx tb3. The system kept rebooting after 20 seconds so I thought that the seller just didnt flash the Bios. I then ordered a 3700x off of Amazon (yay Return policies!), was able to get to get it to post but after trying version 2.80 and then 2.60 It still didnt post with my newer CPU. The upgrade itself showed no error codes or anything. I checked for any loose ram, gpu or cpu afterwards but nothing. I´m in desperate need of help haven´t been able to pown noobs for a while and I´m about to run out of fingerstrength and thermal paste. (Also can´t buy a new motherboard, need this one because of the tb3 connection) Thanks in advance

I came across this wonderful motherboard for my planned NAS build: https://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=X570D4I-2T#Specifications The CPU I'd like to use is Ryzen 7 PRO 5750GE, which has everything I want in a NAS CPU: powerful, very low cooler requirements, integrated GPU for transcoding, and supports a whole bunch of enterprise features (ECC RAM support and others) I'd like to experiment with. I wonder, however, whether the motherboard will support the CPU? 5750GE is not listed in the CPU support list, however the MB's specs say it supports Ryzen PRO 5000 series CPUs, and it supports every single G CPU variant with its corresponding GE and PRO GE counterparts. All except the 5750GE which should be identical to the 5700GE (except the latter doesn't support the extra features I mentioned, and the only GE CPU I can buy locally is the 5750GE). My intuition says the CPU should be supported, but I can't know whether the motherboard has a whitelist of sort to check a CPU and only POST if it's present. What do you think?

Just built a PC and it isn't fully turning on. My case fans are not spinning, my RAM RGB LEDs are not on, and I get no display. The motherboard RGB lights turn on and the EZ debug lights do not indicate an issue. I have to hold the power switch to turn it off and when it turns off it turns right back on. I have to turn it off and quickly hit the power supply switch to keep it off. I double-checked all my cables and as far as I can tell everything is plugged in just fine. I am lost to what has happened and what I need to do at this point, can anyone help me? Hello, I tried to set my RAM to it's advertised speed of 3466mhz, I did this in the bios by enabling xmp, and when I start my computer back up, I get the speed. The problem is, if I restart my computer or shut it down and turn it back on later, the speed goes down to 2400mhz. When I check the bios after this happens, the xmp is off and the ram speed is set to 2400mhz. Even when I try to clock the ram to a lower speed like 3000mhz or add more voltage, the speed still goes down to 2400mhz after a restart. What can I do to keep the speed at 3466mhz? Just got back some old tech for my brother-in-law I let him use for a few years. Decided I'm going to make a server out of it for my friend and I to play Minecraft, ark, Gmod, and some other only stuff on. i7-3770k on water ASRock Z77 fatal1tly professional (bios rev1.7) Corsair vengeance ddr3 1333mhz 16gb Radeon 580 8gb 1Tb Sandisk ssd 750 watt Corsair PSU Used Case Got a clean boot and fresh install of window 10 (version 21h2) but when I got to the windows set up screen I didn't have internet, cable is good, and the activity lights lit up. Bypassed it and did a no internet install no issue. But it looks like windows cant find drivers for the Broadcom BCM57781 lan hardware. I checked ASRock's website and they don't have win 10 drivers posted, 7 & 8.1 but no 10. Put in a ticket to talk to someone at ASRock but all I've been getting for the last 2 days is repetitive 1 one sentence responses that don't answer the questions I'm asking. Does anyone know if broadcom still supports this hardware? Or has win 10 driver for these chips it seem dumb to me that a top of the line motherboard was unable to function on a new Win os 3 years after it launched. I thought maybe the chip was fried, but it shows up in device manager as an unknown needing drivers. And yes I know I could just go with an add in card. That's what Pablo the ASRock rep has said three times but I want the board like it should. Thank you too anyone taking the time to read this, and sorry for any spelling mistakes.

I am thinking about building an APU-desktop using the ryzen 5600g and an asrock b550m-hdv, however my question isn't reserved for this processor. Because the B550 motherboards came out before the launch of the ryzen 5000 series nevermind the 5000g series, i need a motherboard with BIOS-version 1.70 wich was introduced on the 5. march 2021. Will I get a new enough BIOS when purchasing the motherboard from Amazon? In store purchase isn't really an option (except this is a major benefit) because here in Switzerland we don't have that many computer stores in my area. What age of an BIOS should I generally expect when buying a motherboard... Thanks for your help!! PS: Yes I'm aware that 12th gen intel is a better choice when b660 motherboards are out. This PC is also for my grandfather who doesn't need much GPU-performance.

I built my pc nearly a year ago, and it was working just fine until one dull day about 4 months ago. My motherboard's (Asrock B460M Pro4) DRAM light was on. This was kind of weird because it happened out of nowhere. Also btw, it happens randomly, there is no way to draw conclusions from its behavior. I tried all the basic ram issue related solutions. Swapping ram into different slots (Probably done this more than a 100 times at this point), trying only one ram stick in the motherboard (I have permutated through all the possible ram installation combinations), updating the BIOS, loosening up the screws and the heatsink/cpu-cooler, reinstalling the CPU, checking for any bend pins, checking for dirt in the ram slots, rebuilding the whole damn system 5-6 times, running the pc outside the PC case, etc. (Please mention if I missed any). The only thing I could only conclude is that the problem only occurred when both ram sticks were installed. It works just fine with one ram stick, but when there are two it's a big no no. And it's not like they are incompatible or anything, because they worked okay for 5 months, and they still work individually just fine. My PC is most of the time stuck in a reboot cycle, where the DRAM light is on. It takes around 5 mins to 5 hours for it to get out of it and boot into the bios detecting all of the RAM. Sometimes it boots into the OS without detecting one ram stick, and that's what has been happening lately to me, which really annoys me because before I didn't use to shutdown my PC because of the DRAM 'issue' before, but now it won't even get stuck in the cycle and boot straight into the OS with only half of the memory! One observation I noticed was that when it is in dual channel mode, and it boots into BIOS without it the other ram stick detected, it always picks the A1, A2 slot's ram to show. I don't know what to do, I think RMA is the only option (but it's probably going to take a long time, and I think I have lost the CPU socket cover ;( ), please HELP! My build Intel core i5 10400 Asrock B460m Pro4 G.SKILL Sniper X Series 16GB (2x8GB) 3600MHz (I bought it because it was the only RAM available at the time, I could have cheaped out on the speed, ik) RTX 3050 (Just got this a day ago, it doesn't have anything to do with this issue) Antec 650 Watt PS I use the CPU cooler that came with the CPU.

So I am trying to update my BIOS of my AsRock B450M Pro4 from P1.6 to 2.0 (then so on so I can use my new 5600X) and when I go try to install the BIOS update, the update file is there for a second, and then is immediately replaced by a yes.jpg. When I go back to Windows, it's obviously didn't change the file at all, so I'm confused. Has anyone seen this? This is weird! There's nothing online I can find about this.

ram Timetec Unbuffered ECC Memory compatibility
jaybombr posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I am currently switching from my bootleg "server" to something high quality and was wondering about Timetec's memory compatibility. The server will be running an R7 2700 cpu and asrock b450m pro4 matx (supports unbuffered ECC). I am under the impression that if the motherboard supports the memory it should work, but the memory manufacturer does not list my board under their supported hardware. https://www.amazon.ca/Timetec-2400MHz-PC4-19200-Unbuffered-Upgrade/dp/B07NQ2PRJT/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=Unbuffered+ECC+ddr4&qid=1644957887&sr=8-5 Could someone enlighten me? -
My pc crashes sometimes random and sometimes it wont boot so i just start again, but it works most of the time, normally it wont crash for weeks, so i thought maybe an bios update can help to prevent that and then i play mfs2020 it allways crash to the desktop and i read an bios update can fix that to, i allready disabled windows automated restart. my bios version was from mid 2019 so i just try to update it, around 50% into the download my pc just crashed and now when i start my pc i get black screen but pc is running and still have the fan curves that i have before but just black screen. I allready tried some things to fix that reseating ram, put out the cmos battery and let it outside for more then 20 min and pressed on the start button so all electricity was gone still dont work So just buy a new motherboard ? My Pc asrock B450 Steel Legend Ryzen 7 3800x 16gb ram 2070 super 600 watt 1tb nvme ssd i apologize for my bad english have a great day

Wasn't sure whether to put this under Motherboards, Storage, or Troubleshooting. TL;DR Is anyone successfully using a PCIe 4.0 SSD in the chipset M.2 slot on an Asrock B550 board? If so, what drive are you using? My story I have a B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax that I was happily using with 2x PCIe 3.0 SSDs (2x Toshiba XG6 1TB). I'm using a Sliger SM580 case with a 280mm AIO cooler, so taking the system apart to access the rear M.2 slot (attached to the chipset) is a bit of an ordeal. At the time I was using a Ryzen 3700X, though based on what's going on the CPU shouldn't matter. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what BIOS revision I was on. I probably started with either 1.80 or 2.00, and based on the timing 2.10 was probably available, and I definitely would have tried flashing the latest BIOS as a troubleshooting step. When the ADATA S50 Lite (a PCIe 4.0 drive) came out last year, I jumped on it and got a 2TB model. I didn't get it for the speed -- it barely exceeds what PCIe 3.0 is capable of -- it just seemed like a decent, inexpensive 2TB drive. I wanted to throw it in the REAR M.2 slot (attached to the Chipset and running at PCIe 3.0) so that I'd be replacing the harder to access slot and I'd still be able to upgrade the front SSD slot at a later date with another large M.2 drive when I could afford it, when prices came down, when better drives came out, etc. Unfortunately, after tearing apart the system and installing the S50 Lite in the rear M.2 slot, putting it all back together, and booting my system back up, the drive didn't show up in Windows. It didn't show up in Disk Management, in the CLI tool diskpart, or enumerated as a PCIe device in tools like HWINFO. I checked in BIOS(UEFI) and the drive was not showing up there either. I'd already tested the drive in an external M.2 USB enclosure, so I knew the drive worked. The enclosure only supported PCIe 3.0, so I knew that, at least in some instances, the drive didn't have issues with backwards compatibility (yes, I'm aware a 4.0 drive SHOULD work in a 3.0 slot, but as I'm about to demonstrate, that doesn't always seem to be the case). I ended up tearing down my system again and swapped the S50 Lite into the Front M.2 slot (PCIe 4.0 attached directly to the CPU's PCIe lanes) and the XG6 into the rear slot. With this arrangement, both drives are detected and worked. For the last year or so this has served me fine, but now I'm ready to upgrade my 1TB XG6 to either a 2TB or 4TB drive. I don't really need more than PCIe 3.0 speeds for anything, so I don't have a problem slotting the new drive into a 3.0 slot (since I've already established that the S50 Lite can't go in the 3.0 slot), but the market seems to be shifting towards 4.0 drives, even in the budget range. I'm worried that if I buy another PCIe 4.0 drive I won't be able to use it in the rear slot. Does anyone have experience with using PCIe 4.0 drives on the chipset M.2 slot of an Asrock B550 motherboard? Have you had instances of it NOT working like I did? Have you gotten a drive to work? Thanks!

Hello, dear comrades. I am desperate and you are my last resort. Recently my motherboard died out of nowhere, so I've had to replace it. Bought a new ASRock z170PRO4 for my old i7-6700k. Everything works, but there is a catch - the temps have been absolutely trough the roof. 50-60 at idle and instant throttle with any kind of load, including installing drivers. I haven't even closed the case and this dreads me immensely. This is beyond my comprehension. The cooler I'm using is NZXT M22 AIO, and it was more then enough for that exact CPU for a year and a half. So far I've tried: Remounting the cooler and thermal paste numerous times Setting all fans and pump to max speed Manually changing CPU voltage (was around 1.5, changed to 1.25 with no effect whatsoever) Disabling turboboost and speedstep Re-inserting the CPU Updating bios, chipset drivers and whatsnot Nothing helps. I'm on the verge of tears, since Imma not going to buy a new gaming PC and if the thing dies, I'll be stuck with a laptop...

Hi, For few days I am noticing that my voltage in Bios and HWinfo is going below 5V and 12V @4.996 and 11.991. Now I hooked up a multimeter to a spare molex female plug and read the voltages and they were as stable as they can be @5.04 and 12.07 Also yesterday my brother bumped himself on my PC case while I was playing Forza and PC restarted but didn't post. I thought that ram may have come loose so I reattached it and all is working fine. Also bios was not detecting correct amount of ram so I reset it. Can someone please explain this memory speed information? I have recently upgraded to an ASRock B450M Pro4 mobo and am running Vengeance LPX 16GB in a 2x8GB configuration at 3200MHz with XMP. However I was interested in adding a little more and it seems like from the mobo specs page that I would need to run it at a lower speed 2933 or 2667. Can I still run all 4 sticks at 3200 or is 2933 the fastest this mobo can run 4 sticks? I still can't figure out if my memory is SR or DR, is there an easy way to check this? Also, if I bought different Vengeance LPX with the same latency would it be a problem if I mismatched the sizes? (2x8 and 2x16 for example) Here are the motherboard specs I was talking about Parts I'm running: Motherboard: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450m Pro4/#Specification CPU: https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-5-5600x Memory: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-LPX/p/CMK16GX4M2B3200C16#tab-tech-specs
