Hi i was wondering if i should go with a gtx 1070 windforce 8gb og 2 gtx 1070 titan 6gb i sli. i would also have the opportunity to watercool the system later down the road. But the windforce dont have any watercooling full blocks available

I currently have 8 GB DDR3 1600 mhz ram paired with a i7 6700 and a GTX 1070 I was looking to upgrade it to 16 GB but the Question came In my mind whether I should upgrade my current RAM to 16 GB (i.e stick to DDR3) or should I save up and change my mobo to DDR4 with 8 GB DDR4 Ram? Is there a huge performance difference for say in 1600 Mhz and 2600 mhz RAM I mainly need it for Gaming. Is the Upgrage from DDR3 to DDR4 actually worth it? Inshort should I Get 16 GB DDR3 or 8 GB DDR4?

Hi guys, I want to buy lenovo legion y530 with 1050Ti, and have two options for same amount of money: i5-8300H with 16gb of ram, or i7-8750H with 8gb of ram What would be a better option? I'm studying programming and gaming occasionally.. I'm kinda more for better processor because I can upgrade ram later if needed, what do you think? Thanks.

I’m having 450W PSU and thinking about upgrading my GPU from APU to RX 570 8Gb and I’m confused because it’s say recommended PSU is 450W and somewhere else 500W...really need help thanks. -
So ive been playing and im having 100% c drive usage when i play games like bo4 or fallout 76 it happens most of the time but a few day a week it doesnt happen and ive tried all the "fixes" ive reseached like making my ssd pagefile bigger the size of my ram and disabled superfetch and search so im not sure if i just dont have enough ram or somthing else is making my c drive go to 100% :c

Hello again my fellow computer nerds. So I bought two graphics cards off the online shopping app "Letgo".. they were listed as AMD RX580's.. 8gb gddr5.. First red flag was when I asked him 3 different times who made it... And, Asus, etc, and he ignored the question.. I got the feeling he was trying to rip me off, but at the listed price he had of 200$, and me talking him down to 160$, it was worth seeing what came out if it.. I told him I would need to plug it into my computer to confirm it worked, and confirm it was an 8gb rx580.. he agreed.. usually people who are trying to pull some funny business don't want you to look under the hood.. he got here and we talked and he told me they are generic brand cards, but they are indeed 8gb rx580's.... I ended up not having an 8 pin plug in my PC so I couldn't confirm it worked so I told him I was going to pass.. he then told me that he really needed the money bad and if I bought it and anything was wrong he would give me my money back.. I told him I would do it if he gave me both cards for 160$ total.. he agreed.. as soon as he left I realized I had two 6 pin cords hiding behind something in my case, so I installed them and went to hook up the crossfire bridge and realized there are NO fingers on the PCB to plug them in... So I installed just one, installed a power supply booster that has the correct cords.. installed amd rx580 drivers online from AMD.. everything works perfectly fine.. device manager and gpu-z and ccc all say it indeed is an 8gb rx580, all the clock speeds are right, everything looks legit.. and performance wise, they rock.. 1080p on ultra settings I'm getting 50-80 fps in world of Warcraft, counter strike source I'm getting 294 for on maxed settings.. it did artifact kinda bad one time while watching YouTube, but hasn't happened since.. temps are good.. everything seems fine... But it is clearly NOT a legite AMD RX580.. the shroud is different and has no branding... Just now I took it apart to see if I could see anything identifying on the PCB, and to my surprise, it has 8memory chips, and has an and branded chip..... What in the hell is this GPU???

Hello, I would like to know what difference there is between 11GB and 8GB of VRAM more specifically between 1080ti and 2080. I found that 11GB on 1080ti are faster and obviously more than 8GB. So with regards to performance the 1080ti with 11GB wins. Or I get the idea wrong and the 8GB at 2080 are in fact faster and be sufficient for 2k gaming?

I currently have 1 stick of 8gb 2133mhz and plan on upgrading to 16gb by buying another stick of 8gb. However, I can't seem to find any shop that sells any ram with 2133mhz. They only have 2400+. Can I mix the other mhz with my 2133mhz ram?

Hi all, My setup Motherboard :-Asus prime a320m-k Ram :- Corsair Vengeance Lpx 8 GB (8 GBx1) DDR4 3000MHz CPU :- RYZEN 5 2600 GPU :- GTX 1070 I wanted to upgrade my ram with a 16gb stick (Corsair Vengeance Lpx 16 GB (16 GBx1) DDR4 3000MHz) . is it possible to have (16*1 + 8*1) so total 24GB. I know my motherboard supports max 32 gb ram and i have only 2 ram slots. Thanks in advances.

I am helping a friend, specs are A8 9600 with NVidia GTX 660 and using a single channel 8GB 1333mhz, planning to stream mobile games so considering this, a Mirroring software will be opened + chrome and an AlertBox will be active in the OBS software. Now, we've tried a couple of test streams with this settings output resolution: 1280x720, FPS@30, Downscale filter: Bilinear, Encoder: x264, Bitrate: 2000, Keyframe interval: 2, CPU usage: very high, internet connection is good but still stream hiccups are all over the place.. is upgrading RAM to 16GB 2666mhz the solution to this? or will a single 8GB 2666mhz be enough to rid of some stream hiccups? -
Hi guys Recently been looking around for pc parts and noticed ddr4 ram prices are absolutely silly right now. I need 32gb since i currently have 16gb and im maxing out just doing casual stuff. So i've had the idea to buy a 1x16gb stick which i can afford then later on buy the exact same brand/model 1x16gb when i can afford it. I know the default copypasta for this is "hurhurrr can't do that m9 compatabiltieiz m9" with absolutely no explanation. I'd like some evidence to support this since before i was a 'real' pc builder i always mixed and matched ram even different brands and the worst that has ever happened to me in 10 years is all the ram slowed down to the lowest speed ram i added which isn't even a bad thing since it's expected and completely up to me. I'll accept anecdotes, if you bought the exact same model of ram and it didn't work i'd like to know but i'd also like something a bit more concrete or even some statistics. This is a £300 decision so i don't really want to rely on the default copypasta replies.

My system specs : Motherboard: Gigabyte B250 Gaming 3 Cpu : g4560 GPU - 1050ti Ram : 8gb (8x1) 2133Mhz Storage : Western Digital 1TB For some reason my gameplay tends to stutter. Mostly AAA titles like GTA V, ROTTR, etc. I wanna know if single channel is causing the stutter? Or is it my cpu?

Hey all, the other day I was looking into buying a tablet for media consumption etc and all the decent ones were like $200+, after browsing eBay I found SP3s for 300 and up. Found one in good condition that looked like it had lost power during an updating and was no longer booting to Win10, this one was also the right model with an i5, 8gb of ram and the 256gb ssd. I bought it for under 300 and reinstalled Windows and viola it works! Now after using it for a few weeks I have found the ups and the downs. The issues so far are watching Youtub KILLS my CPU, 1440p content uses 50% - 60% and 80% - 90% on 4k content. Now the worst is when the fan goes biserk on 1080p content which is the majority of Youtube that I watch, there are just random times where it ramps up aswell for no real reason. My question is if there is a fix for this or is it just the old 4300u not liking life anymore? Also is it worth trying to open it up and swap out the thermal compound/clean it? I have heard some good things about the SP4s obeing on skylake architecture, would it be worth switching over to a SP4 for better cooling and performance?

Hey y'all. I'm turning to you because nobody else can help me. I have a Sapphire RX480 8GB card that has been in the computer for about a year now with no problem. Recently I noticed the card was getting hot and the fans were getting loud so I had a tech expert check it out and fix the fans. Everything was fine for a few days until the card would either lose connection to the monitor (connected via DisplayPort) or completely crash the PC. Just today I was able to launch and play Fortnite with no issue. I intentionally left the PC running when I left the house for an hour and the monitor was off on standby again. I've changed the cable from the power supply and I've tried the second slot for DisplayPort with no luck. Anyone know what I am doing wrong or what is going on? The card is lit up right now but it won't even let me boot without crashing if it's plugged in. Oh, and the temperatures were low, even under load. Specs: i7-3770K Asus z77 pro-v 1tb Seagate hard drive 16gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance memory 2133 mhz Corsair h60 (2018) Thank you in advance.

So, in my country the 1060 6gb is going for $270 to $350 and the RX 570 8gb is going for $180 to $200. Since I'm still planning my build, should I go with the 570 8gb? btw the RX 570 is an OC version from "Pulse"

Hello, I recently bought a laptop with ryzen 2500u, but it came only with 4gb of ram. I'want to upgrade it to 8gb, I have taken the laptop apart and there is another slot free and I can only find the excact ram on ebay, but right now it is not possible for me to buy from Ebay. My laptops ram is hma851s6afr6n-uh and I was looking at KVR24S17S6/4, they are both 1.2V, 1Rx16, CL 17, 4GB, 2400MHz, so-dimm. Should they work together? I know that there is a small chance that they don't work. One diffrence I have seen is that my laptops ram has 4 Big Black Chips on the board while What I am looking at has 9. I have added more ram to laptops before but not from diffrent manufacturers. Thank you for reading! -
When I look in the bios both 4gb sticks of ram are detected but it says I only have 4gb total! Pls help I've attached I pic of the bios

I am planning out for a Intel NUC Build with 8GB(4Gbx2) but can't seem to get any good prices. I only need DDR4-2133 speeds. I want dual channel and would like a good brand. Can anyone find a good way to find good ram at cheap prices?

Hi there peeps, I was hoping I could get some of your opinions on how much you think RAM will matter in gaming in the coming few years, as well as what you think of the links I will provide below. Most gamers seem to be ardent believers that 16GB nowadays is the new 8GB of a few years ago and is as such a must. However, it would seem that even games such as Battlefield One, that recommend 16GB of RAM, have its FPS unaffected in any way (at least in the 60-90 fps range). I will link below two well documented videos on the topic that shows that Battlefield One can manage with merely FOUR Gigs of RAM without any FPS loss as compared to 8GB, or 16GB. Timestamp: 2:12 https://www.gamersnexus.net/game-bench/2677-bf1-ram-benchmark-frequency-8gb-enough/page-2 (video within article) -This one shows that 8GB is more than enough and as long as FPS does not go past a certain point, 16GB is simply useless. So, I believe that as long as there are no considerable CPU/GPU bottlenecks and the RAM isn't some crappy DDR2 type and is at least 1666 DDR3, AND there are TWO sticks, not just one, 8GB of RAM is plenty more than enough nowadays (given NO BACKGROUND apps) and should be just enough to not lead to performance loss within 2/3 years for 60-70fps gameplay. Hi Linustechtips, I need an advice about pc build in regards to this game, I have 600w psu, gigabyte f2a68hm-s1, a10-7860k, Gtx750ti, 4gb(1333mhz)x2 ram dual channel setup.whats better? should i upgrade my cpu to ryzen 5 1500x or Ill just be upgrading my gpu to gtx 1050ti and increase my Ram to 8gb(2133 or 1866mhz), I kept track of my gpu usage and every time it drops down to like 0-10% thats where the stutter happens. is it my ram or my gpu thats causing the stuttering? please help thanks.

I am planning to upgrade my 2x4gb (8gb) hyperx fury ram to 16gb. Should I just buy 2 more sticks of 4gb making it 4x4gb (16gb) or Should I sell off my 2x4gb and buy a 2x8gb (16gb) kit. note I would probably not need the ability to expand to 32gb but you never know.
