Hi guys... I'm a graphic designer (working the Adobe Suite) and a periodical gamer, well a little more than that :)... I have a 1070 on my rig and i'm trying to figure out what type of monitor should i buy, to get the best of it in both tasks. I'm leaning towards an ultrawide 34''. But i could use the help.

Good day everyone. I'm planning on getting the LG 34UC88, but was wondering whether I could get to 75Hz without any frame skipping, with an Nvidia card? I've read in some places that they were able to get 75Hz, but they seem to always mention that it ends up frame skipping, so if anyone who owns the monitor or a similar one could shed some light onto this, that would be great. Furthermore, I was also wondering if anyone successfully increased the FreeSync range to something lower, like 40Hz-75Hz, and if so how did you go about doing it? Any help is appreciated. Cheers.

PS:Let me know if you don't understand my english since i wasn't born in an english speaking country

Hey guys, so im wondering what monitor to go for the better gaming experience, the monitor options in my budget are. I have a ryzen 1600 + RTX 2060 Acer Nitro VG270U https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/model/UM.HV0EE.007 Samsung C27JG50 https://displaysolutions.samsung.com/monitor/detail/1281/C27JG50 they both pretty much costs the same where i live. All other options are unfortunately too expensive for me. The acer is a 75hz ips display with freesync and 1ms response time whereas the samsung has a curved 144hz VA display, which monitor would you personally purchase? also refresh rate asides which monitor is the sharper looking monitor?

Hey, I got a Asus VZ27AQ 1440p monitor with a 75hz refresh rate. Typically, in all games I've played if I set the Vsync option to ON, it should cap the framerate to the monitor's refresh rate. That's how it's worked in all other games I've played on this system. However there's a problem with AW. I set the refresh rate to 75hz (74.95 something) and turned Vsync ON, but now the framerate is capped at 60 fps, as though if my refresh rate was in the 59.95 setting (which it's not). How should I get it to lock fps at 75 instead of 60? I have a 1080Ti and with Vsync OFF I can get well over 120 fps at all times with all options set to maximum so I know that's not the problem. Any ideas?

Well Fortnite is not cool with Rivatuner and it only lets me lock it to 60 or use vsync to stick it to 75 like the screen, tough I could lock it to 120 it seems to change below that quite often on my secondary machine and I think its better to have a stable FPS so what would you do? A: Lock to 60fps? B: Vsync 75fps? ? Lock to 120?

Hey all, I'm on the hunt for a second monitor for my setup, currently, I have a Samsung 21.5 inch 1920x1080 60hz one. I do some casual gaming, and quite a bit of 3D and video production stuff, I don't need to worry about colour as I'm not a professional (mostly hobby and school stuff) and on a tight budget. I did want an IPS panel for the viewing angles though. So I found this, the LG 24MK430H-B 24" IPS LED Monitor. It seems a good buy, I intend to use this as my primary display with the bigger screen size and 75hz refresh rate. Has anyone used it? Anything else I should consider? If you are recommending other monitors, I want a vesa compatible, at least as big as my current Side note I live in NZ so Shipping from Amazon and that is almost as much as the product sometimes! Our main computer parts retailer is PB Tech and they have it listed for around $180 NZD or $120 USD. Side note 2 - I have an Nvidia GPU so I don't care about AMD freesync, but I'm also not a hardcore gamer or whatever so I just lock my framerate at whatever the panel is capable of. Thanks Dark_Llama

Hello everyone, i just bought the gpu from Sapphire RX580 8gb nitro . my pc pecs= i5 8600k, 16gbs ram , hydrocooled and i have an ultrawide gaming monitor at 75hz refresh rate (low level) from lg which supports freesync. i have connected my pc with my monitor with an HDMI cable. My problem is that right now my monitor runs at 60hz and i cant switch it to 75 hz. I found where i have to do this, is a control panel from windows as you wil see at my photo, but the problem is that everytime i choose the 75hz and i press Apply the resolution of my screen automatically changes to 1920*1080, which normally it must be 2560*2018 cause its 21by9 resolution (ulrawide). I read online that i should probably have a DisplayPort cable in order to run 75hz, but i dont know if this is fully correct cause in LG's site i see that my monitor supports ' 2560*1080 @ 75hz HDMI connection ' PLEASE can anyone help me?

Hello fellow PC maniacs, I have had 7 brand new unopened monitors in last week, 5 of them had one or more dead pixels, one had pressure damage and one had vertical lines on blue and yellow colors. I want IPS panel with 75hz since I like more vidid colors and wider viewing angle than TN and I want to utilize higher refresh rate in CS:GO and other FPS games. I can spend little bit more money on LCD, but I am afraid, that it does not make any difference regarding this issues. My PC is FX-8370 + GTX960 + 12GB RAM + 512 SSD, so Im okay with fullhd resolution. 2x AOC G2590VXQ - both had dead pixels 1x BenQ BL2480 - pressure damage + didnt support 75hz on native resolution (the seller claimed it does) 1x Acer Nitro RG270bmiix - no damage, but vertical lines on yellow and blue color on 75hz (they do not appear on 60hz) 3x Dell SE2717H - dead pixels on all of them (latest has only one dead red subpixel) Am I going crazy or is it super common to buy defective display? I have ordered last two, which Im gonna check in the evening, when they should arrive to shop. What will I do afterwards, I dont know, perhaps sell my pc and never go back again, this is killing me. What is your experience with buying displays, could you give me some hints so I can finally get out of this hell on earth?

So I'm thinking, with a GTX 1080, would it be better to get a 1440p 75Hz or a 1080p 144Hz display? I'm sure the 1080 could handle over 100 fps at 1440p in most games, but my remaining budget is not enough for a 1440p 144Hz (or 120Hz) monitor. Any help greatly appreciated! In case anyone is wondering, I was upgrading my system. It now has the following specs: - CPU: Ryzen 5 1600X (Cooler: BeQuiet! Pure Rock) - GPU: Palit GTX 1080 Super JetStream, 8GB GDDR5 - MB: Gigabyte AB350 Gaming, Socket AM4 - RAM: Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3200MHz

Hi! So i have started building a pc and currently im looking for a "Budget" Monitor as what I call it. For now the best I can get is one of these 75/60 hz monitors since 144hz are almost triple as much and thats too much for now lol. I will game CS:GO / PUBG on one of these. Anyway I found these monitors and which one do you think its the best? For me the LG looks really good expect it dosent have inbuilt speaker which is no big deal. Tell me your Thougts! ? Monitors: -LG 22MK400H-B (1ms, 75Hz) Link: https://www.lg.com/pa_en/monitors/lg-22MK400H-B -Asus VP228HE (1ms, 60Hz) Link: https://www.asus.com/Monitors/VP228HE/ -AOC G2260VWQ6 (1ms, 75Hz) Link: https://eu.aoc.com/en/gaming/products/g2260vwq6 Another note is that the LG Monitor is the cheapest.

so, I have my Xbox and laptop sitting on my desk and want both connected to my monitor witch only has one HDMI. the monitor is 75hz 1080 and free-sync. I need a HDMI switch that will support both of those. or a simple cheap solution to have both PC and Xbox connected to the monitor at the same time with out loosing features. Also I am gonna just jump out in front of this and say I already tried connecting the PC via the HDMI input on the Xbox and that made the video quality of the laptop strait garbage. So that is not an option.

Hello, I was looking for a budget gaming monitor so i can play Borderlands 3 (My current monitor is an old syncmaster 730bf 5:4 screen) I came across 2 monitors in my city (Belgrade, Serbia) and i cant decide which one is better. https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-G2590VXQ-Widescreen-Multimedia-DisplayPort/dp/B078S36XWV/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_147_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=CKHZTCX1RQDWNDGDVYCT https://www.amazon.co.uk/iiyama-G2530HSU-B1-G-Master-Monitor-FreeSync/dp/B071JH67KN The price is the same here. 161 euros for both monitors I never really cared about graphics in games, i always played on low just so i can hit 75hz, smoothness is key for me. Thanks for the help. If anyone has free time and wants to help, heres a list of all monitors in my price range in my city: http://www.itsvet.com/cenovnik-pda1-31.i?prices_min_n=15000-25000&option=

Originally set on the UW but read in various places and it seemed like most people preferred using high refresh than UW, and apparently UW support is pretty questionable, for both gaming and videos too (black bars, weird scaling etc, although not sure if that disadvantage is exaggerated). Prices are looking pretty decent but really unsure of which to get: - 24" 1080p 144Hz TN: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-XF240Hbmjdpr-Monitor-FreeSync-Adjustable/dp/B01684HUJU?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_ae89a558_NA&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE - 29" 21:9 75Hz? 2560x1080 UW: https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-29WK500-29-Inch-Ultrawide-Freesync/dp/B079SJ36Y8?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_ae89a558_NA&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE Both have freesync, though with my 1060 i wont be able to make use of that for the next couple years. I have: R5 1600, 1060 6gb, 8gb ram. After getting either one I plan on putting my current monitor in portrait. My standard uses range from: assignments (heard UW is good for splitting windows and productivity, plus I dont tend to watch youtube on the side whilst doing work), programming (hence the 1st monitor in portrait), light gaming (play occasional league with friends, hearthstone and a couple non-competitive games). Whilst stand quality is a factor, I have another vesa mount (btw it is not possible for me to put one monitor above the other, assume a left-right placement) that i can use for the new monitor. Have considered the several 28" 4ks on sale for about £220-260, though am under the (possibly wrong) impression that at 28" Ill just have the windows view scale turned up and not see that big of a benefit, and? Open to any other suggestions below ~£200. Many thanks in advance

Hi all, I have been looking for a new monitor and am now trying decide between two monitors: - Samsung C27JG50, 1440p, 60/120/144Hz, 1800R curve, MVA, €350 - Acer Nitro VG270U. 1440p, 60/75Hz, IPS, €280 I usually play games where 60Hz should be plenty (Witcher, Metro, etc) and sometimes stuff like CS:GO but not very seriously. I can't for the life of me find a decent review about any of these monitors. Does anyone have any experience with any of these? Any other advice is also appreciated. Cheers PS: I do plan to upgrade to a 1070TI / 1080 later on so I can actually take advantage of the higher resolution and frequency.

Hi All Im new here, so HOLA again. Im trying to find a decent monitor with the following specs or more. I live in India and its kinda hard to come across a monitor with these specs in tow for some reason. Not to mention the import duties kinda kill us on the pricing. But here we go! Minimum Specifications: Panel Type: IPS / VA Panel Size: 27 or Greater Refresh Rate: 75 Hz or Greater Response time: 5ms or Lower Resolution: 2k or Greater I know the Massdrop VAST covers this - but considering the shipping, import duties and possible warranty issues - it feels like it might not be worth the trouble right now. How I will be using it: - For designing and coding apps (Ux designer by profession ) - To play games like: Overwatch / Anthem and upcoming titles - Watching movies, shows and tracking the market What I currently own: Ryzen 1700x Corsair Vengeance 16 Gb DDR4 Evga Gtx 1080 ..and a bunch of other stuff. Note: Im trying not to put a massive cap on my budget here thanks to the multiple issues with import duties and shipping. So please suggest away, any and all input is welcome and thanks in advance!

As above, is a Asus 1070ti Cerberus enough to run most games at ultra or mid at 60/75hz? Im looking for a 3 monitors setup or 1440p ultrawide (100hz)

Hey guys, I somehow can't see 75Hz option for my monitor. I tried out in Windows and in the Nvidia program. Only 59 and 60Hz are displayed but the monitor can run with 75Hz. Can you tell me how to set this up please?

Hi all, So I've been looking for a new monitor for a while now with little success. So I want to upgrade from a 1080p, 60Hz IPS monitor (Dell U2414H) to 1440p and preferably also a higher refresh rate. I have found the Samsung C27JG50 and the Acer VG270U, but I can't find any proper reviews about them. My budget is around 350 in The Netherlands, although I would theoretically be able to go up a bit if it's really worth it (or just wait until Christmas deals and such). I mainly use the monitor for watching Netflix and Youtube, browsing the internet and gaming (Witcher type games, CS:GO a bit, Rocket League). Do you guys have any monitors you would suggest with a 1440p panel? Does anyone have any experience with the monitors I mentioned? Thank you
-
Hi all, I am looking for a new monitor and am considering the: - Acer VG270u (1440p, 75Hz, IPS) - Samsung c27jg5 (1440p, 144Hz, VA) I mostly want a bigger screen and a higher resolution. I mainly play RPG type of games, and sometimes a little CS or something like that with friends (no plans to go pro). Right now I have a 1060 6GB, so 144Hz is out of the question anyway, but I'm thinking of upgrading to something with either 1070 or 1080 performance (no idea what yet) in the coming months. Now for the questions: - How much sense would it make to have a 144Hz screen if I will rarely get 120+ FPS? - Is the difference between 75Hz and 60Hz noticeable? - Does anyone have any experience with one of these screens? - Any other advice? Cheers
