Source: https://wccftech.com/amd-navi-20-radeon-rx-graphics-card-ray-tracing-gcn-architecture-rumor/ As always, this is a rumor, and is subject to criticism and skepticism. However, the source it does come from (not WCCFTech directly) has been correct in the past. Although, this puts the Vega 20 launch at sometime in 2020, probably over nine months away. Which gives much time for more credible, accurate and thorough leaks to come until then. But in the mean time, this rumor does give some hope for future competition in the video card space, as we see AMD currently doing in the CPU space.

Hi, What do you guys think of this build? Do you have any recommendations? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/fRzCYT Thanks

Hello, Last time I bought a PC was my 11in Alienware Laptop back in 2009 or so. I don't know much about building a PC...was gonna go with a PC Builder like Maingear of Falcon Northwest but figure building it myself...I can get better parts of the same money. I started researching online..found Linus (I'm from Vancity), JayTwoCents, Bitwit, HardwareCanucks...the Verge ?... Building a PC doesn't seem too difficult...I have friends that have built pc's before and youtube how to's. I have enjoyed DYI recently on other tasks I have done. I don't really care about cost. I plan to game, watch movies, render videos for a possible YouTube channel I'm thinking about doing...plus all the other normal stuff. I'm not interested in AIO or liquid cooling...I prefer fan only. I would like it to be as quiet as possible, have good thermals, preferably power efficient when idle, when doing normal tasks, when rendering, and then whatever load happens when gaming at max settings. This is what I've researched and intend to purchase...I've definitely learned a lot the last couple of weeks. I also am open to AMD Ryzen...so this might change if I go with Ryzen. If you have a Ryzen build with flagship parts like best mobo...please let me know. I didn't look into Ryzen but read a new chip is coming out soon. The parts: Case: Lian-Li PC-O11 Dynamic (Black) CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K 8 core Heat Sink: Noctua NH-U12A Case Fans: Noctua NF-A12x25 120mm 4-pin PWM fans (probably like 9 fans...3 side, 3 bottom, 2 top and 1 back...I'll configure it for good airflow) Motherboard: MSI MEG Z390 GODLIKE RAM: 32gb (2x16) G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3200 MHz. (doesn't have to be RGB) GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming 11 GB GDDR6 Hard drive: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 Internal SSD Storage: Samsung 860 Pro V-Nand 1TB SSD SATA SSD Power Supply (PSU): EVGA Supernova 750 G3, 80 plus gold Monitor: Dell Alienware 1900R 34.1 curved monitor. Must be G-Sync tho. Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mouse: Steelseries Rival 600 Gaming Mouse ---------- Anyway...I would really appreciate any comments...if there are problems with the parts or compatibility issues. I don't plan to buy in a month or two. Also, if any of the hardware have issues...quality issues, etc...please let me know. Some areas I think could be different are the power supply...not sure how much power I need...I used online calculator. Also the M.2 drive...I could go with 512 GB...using it mainly for operating system, video editing, and storing important files like documents. The 2.5 SSD for games and general storage. Thanks...I really appreciate any input. Toasted_Oats ------------ PS. I went to PC Part Picker and had this "Compatibility Note" (curious if that is a concern or what it means...does that mean if I were to buy three M.2 SSDs, I cannot have three 2.5 SSDs in exchange?) The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled. The motherboard M.2 slot #2 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled. The motherboard M.2 slot #3 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated with a PCIe-based M.2 drive, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled. -----------

I've been having this problem for about a week now. I don't know what happened but I've been getting sub-par performance and it's driving me insane. I've tried everything possible that I can think of and nothing's working. Out of no where I started getting stuttering with my 1080 Founders edition. I had a 2080 Ti and didn't install it yet because I needed to find my PSU power cables in a storage unit after I moved. So I thought my card was thermal throttling since I saw the voltage dipping. So I finally went and dug out the power cable and installed my 2080 Ti thinking it was just my old card. Even with the new card I'm still getting stuttering. I've Uninstalled my drivers with DDU, and installed new drivers in safe mode to ensure that windows wouldn't install a video driver. I'm not using on board graphics. I have my card in prefer max performance in the Nvidia control panel. I'm on high performance in Windows. I've went back to previous versions of Windows (I'm on Windows 10, on 1803 and went back to 1709.) Tried the nuclear option and reinstalled windows 3 times. I have high performance selected in my BIOS. Tried G-Sync on, off, V-Sync on, off, still nothing. Installed games to an SSD, still stuttering. Tried rolling back drivers too. I'm back on the latest Nvidia drivers thinking it would fix it, no such luck. Even with Chrome not running I'm getting stuttering. Before this happened, I wouldn't get stuttering even with Chrome running. Also I didn't edit any settings in my BIOS before this happened. All my drivers are up to date. Also experienced stuttering in Heaven. l I'm at my wits end. Specs: CPU: i7-8700K GPU: RTX 2080 Ti Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 RAM: G.Skill Trident z, 32 Gigs, 3200 MHz PSU: EVGA Supernova 850 G2L Multiple Terabytes of storage, and windows installed on an SSD

1. Budget & Location Went from 3000 to 4000 to 9001... I'm not entirely sure, I'm willing to spend 1000-2000 more than current component list prices of list #1 Location: The Netherlands 2. Aim First priority is not gaming, however for some unknown reason I want it to perform well in games as well and there's exactly where issues with hardware choice start to arise. I am planning to start learning software development, work with different programs and find my way into an IT profession by loads of practise and experimentation. One of the first things on my todo list is experimenting with multiple VMs, trying out different OSes and Virtual Networking. Another thing will be malware testing on VMs as well as debugging these programs. So in short I will use the PC to learn software development as well as reverse engineering. I want to be able to create youtube videos and do online streaming, because I want to be of help to others during the process, as well as learn the act of video editing, streaming and social media promotion So for gaming I'm planning to get myself a VR device in the future, likely not until next year. Other than that I will of course try out the new battlefield that came with my 2080 Ti as well as some MMOs like GW2 and WoW. I have this vision of trying out new games than I don't know yet, but I can't say if I'll like it - it's just experimentation I like the idea of i9-9900K being the top class performing CPU in games, but it may be foolish to get it for that reason if I'm not a real gamer and want to use the machine mainly for learning, working and eventual beautiful creations that I place far more value to than gaming, but if the CPU delivers that all then it's probably the best (and also cheapest) solution. . . Forgot to add: I want to overclock the system as for everything there has to be a first time 3. Monitors So for this I chose the 144 Hz Acer Predator XB271HU as listed below. I think I'm planning to buy another one in the future (not sure if same or different) to create a dual-monitor setup. Although 3 monitors seems cool as well but I think I want to set up the system first before investing in these 4. Peripherals Getting Roccat Vulcan 100 AIMO keyboard. I already own a Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition White mouse. The idea of running multiple different softwares of different companies in order to control peripherals as well as RGB lighting (iCue software) does put me off as all these consume system resources and I wonder if there are alternative solutions to them, although they may not consume that much relatively 5. Why are you upgrading? Most of this has been answered at question #2 but aside from that I'm currently stuck with my ancient i7-3630QM ASUS laptop that won't perform any of the tasks Oh and lastly... I wanna build my own PC. I wanna learn it and this is a perfect chance 6. List of Parts So here is the list I created using i9-9900K and below that is the parts I'd replace CPU and MB with should I go for i9-7980XE Most research has been done for i9-9900K and I am/was almost going to go for this, but I still want to leave the option open for 7980XE also the reason why I'm not certain about this processor is because it dates from september 2017 and I found out new models may be coming out in the next 1-2 years. Not entirely sure, but the little info from news articles and forum posts I could find point out to that PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor $529.99 @ B&H CPU Cooler Corsair - H150i PRO 47.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $166.89 @ OutletPC Motherboard Gigabyte - Z390 AORUS MASTER ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $295.40 @ Newegg Memory Corsair - Vengeance RGB Pro 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory $529.99 @ Newegg Storage Samsung - 970 Pro 512 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $167.99 @ Amazon Storage Samsung - 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $247.99 @ Amazon Video Card MSI - GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card $1399.00 @ B&H Case Corsair - Crystal 570X RGB White ATX Mid Tower Case $139.99 @ Newegg Power Supply be quiet! - DARK POWER PRO 11 850 W 80+ Platinum Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply $178.99 @ SuperBiiz Operating System Microsoft - Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit $124.79 @ OutletPC Case Fan Corsair - LL120 RGB LED 43.25 CFM 120mm Fan $31.17 @ Newegg Case Fan Corsair - LL120RGB LED (Three Fans With Lighting Node PRO) 43.25 CFM 120mm Fans $109.43 @ Newegg Case Fan Corsair - LL140 RGB LED 51.5 CFM 140mm Fan $31.17 @ Amazon Case Fan Corsair - LL140 RGB LED 51.5 CFM 140mm Fan $31.17 @ Amazon Monitor Acer - XB271HU bmiprz 27.0" 2560x1440 165 Hz Monitor $599.99 @ Newegg Business Other WD 4TB Blue My Passport Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBYFT0040BBL-WESN $118.47 @ Newegg Business Other WD 4TB Red USB 3.0 My Passport Portable External Hard Drive (WDBYFT0040BRD-WESN) $106.99 @ Newegg Business Other CORSAIR RGB LED Lighting PRO Expansion Kit $39.99 @ Newegg Other ROCCAT Vulcan 100 Aimo RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Silver (ROC-12-411-BN-AM) $149.08 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $5048.48 Mail-in rebates -$50.00 Total $4998.48 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-02-06 11:33 EST-0500 7980XE: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i9-7980XE 2.6 GHz 18-Core Processor $1900.00 @ SuperBiiz Motherboard Gigabyte - X299 DESIGNARE EX ATX LGA2066 Motherboard $449.99 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $2349.99 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-02-05 10:39 EST-0500 7. PSU - Will this amount be perfect enough (not too much / too little) for powering the whole system? 8. Conclusion Some parts have already been acquired as noted above. The question is whether or not I should invest in this build and comments are needed to help me determine how much it will satisfy me. Everything is open for changes although I'd prefer to use the parts I already bought last year instead of reselling them or something,, I hope to find some answers! here ?

I am building a very high end watercooled computer without much of a budget that I want to overclock to get the best performance for a fessable system, so I was wondering if I should get something like the EVGA FTW 3, ASUS STRIX/MATRIX, MSI Lightning, etc, or an RTX Titan for maximum gaming performance and maybe some light video editing/heavy photo editing.

Looking for the best out the box 2080 ti performance. Not looking for best value, just raw performance.

Hi, i just bought a MSI 2080 ti gaming X trio, and after setting all up for it, overclocking my 1440p monitor at 160Hz, making it detect by the OS and the NVidia control panel and everything...when i fire up BF1, Destiny 2, BF4, FarCry 4 and 5 (those are the titles I tested) the FPS counter never crosses 50 or so, staying always around 35 and 40, with all the above listed games. I have already tried all the different settings in every game, i turned on and off G-sync, both in the display itself and the software, i scaled resolution, i removed FPS caps, and even reinstalled some games...but nothing. I have to say that i have a FX-8320E as CPU, and i know it's a bit old, but it's overclocked at 4GHz without problems and while in game never gets used more than 80%, so i think it can't be the bottleneck...i don't know a ton about the work that te motherboard (is a M5A97 EVO R2.0 by ASUS) is supposed to do in order to feed with data the GPU, may that be the problem, cause the motherboard is 5 years old like the CPU too! There is one more thing to add, i still have windows 7...and i know, before someone criticise me that i had to upgrade all the pc and not only investing 1400$ on the GPU, but that has sense to me because the whole machine will get and upgrade in some months, and i really needed a new GPU cause i'm working with tensorflow and the 2080 ti was really appealing to me cause of it's tensorcores...those are the only things right now which seems to work fine, since the GPU is eating data perfectly...but still i can't game in my spear time! If you need more data let me know! HELP PLEAS...i'm getting mad looking at 30FPS in "2K"!

Hi, I am planning a new build and have the amazing choice between the FTW 3 2080ti or the Lightning Z 2080 ti. I mainly want the best gaming performance although if this is the same across both cards, I may just go for the MSI because of the display on it. What do you guys think? Thanks
-
I am going to be buying a 2080 Ti tomorrow morning... Debating between the Strix and Aorus... Opinions? I know performance they're pretty close. Down to the details I found that the strix in performance mode is the coolest 2080 Ti card by air. But putting that aside, Opinions on which I should get? Strix: LINK Aorus: LINK
-
Hi, after reading many reviews I can't decide between these 3 models of 2080 ti: Aorus Xtreme, Gaming X Trio and Zotac AMP Extreme. The MSI is the cheapest, but I read they don't have power balancing circuit while every other 2080 ti has. Some people say it can be a problem, some other say it' not. What do you think about this thing of power balancing? Can it really be a problem? And what about Zotac AMP Extreme? I can't find many reviews on the internet about this card.

Hi. i am thinking about passive water cooling for CPU+GPU ( i7-9700k + RTX 2080 ti ) estimate overclocked heat load around 600 watt.I thought about getting a big (40 liter) water tank. The idea is, that the large amount of water will be able to absorb the heat from my CPU and GPU and the large tank would be able to dissipate the heat from the water. How much water do I need if I want under 50c for both my overclock CPU and GPU ?ANYONE Tried It? How big water tank do i need ?Is possible it works ?if anyone can make , test please..the positive side is silent PC and cheaper custom loop

Hey guys, I'm currently planning to do a custom loop in the lian li o-11 with corsair hydro x series and im bumped into some questions. does anyone know if the corsair gpu block for strix 2080ti will fit in the lian li o-11 dynamic or will I have to go vertical? Lian li's website doesnt show any info about the compatibility for the corsair gpu block, and corsair's page doesnt show anything about the block's dimensions

So my GPU was running fine for about a year, or at least it seems. I am unsure exactly when performance dropped significantly. I benched and OC'ed it when I got it and it ran as expected, but I have been running it and my CPU without OC for most of the time (too many other problems going on). I was playing Division 2 at 1440p max settings in HDR, and only getting around 60fps (have a 144hz monitor). That seemed out of place, so I ran Superposition with 1080p extreme and only got a 4600 score. I believe my original scores were 8000+, and others with the same card have gotten 120fps averages in Division 2 with the same settings. Superposition shows 1600-1700mhz clocks while running. Got a 2080 Ti Fe with a waterblock and custom loop triple rad, also cooling a mobo monoblock, running on a DDC pump. The GPU is vertical mounted with a riser cable, and custom wired with cables I made myself. I've fresh re-installed drivers, nothing physically has changed inside the PC prior to the dropped performance. The temps immediately rise up to and max out at 57C, idle at 28C. I've set MSI Afterburner to reset to default. I've called my PC Sisyphus cause of all the problems I've run into with it, pushing areas I don't have much experience on. I'm at a loss as to what has caused this issue, or where to take the diagnosis process next. I'm planning on taking the whole thing apart, but that's a pain and I hope it's something more easy to fix. Could the riser cable go bad? Could the wiring not be supplying enough power? Could the thermal pads somehow have shifted on the GPU waterblock, or a VRM/something have fried? I don't even know how to check any of these things apart from taking everything apart.

Hey everyone, I'm having dual monitor setup issues and I've just had it. I miss my convenience with two monitors and had put up with it for atleast 5 months now. To save some trouble I'll copy pasta my computer specs, my two monitors in full detail, what I am experiencing for difficulties and what I have done for them. Computer Specifications. Then when I try and plug my secondary monitor, the ASUS VS247H-P into my GPU, my computer doesn't detect it for some odd reason. I have done my own troubleshooting but maybe I'm dumb as hell and/or maybe I'm missing something crucial. To be clear my Dell monitor has a DP cable and my ASUS has a HDMI cable. MY GPU has 4 DP inputs (if that's what I call those plugins) and 3 HDMI inputs. I have plugged both in at the same time and went to my display settings and hit the detect button with nothing promising. I then just went ahead to the start menu and hit restart. Computer restarts and the ASUS monitor has taken over everything! What I mean by that is the ASUS has now been detected but is being used as my primary monitor and my DELL monitor is no longer detected...?! I have repeated this process many times and have even shut off my computer doing so to plug in each one at different times and at the same time. Please send help.

So I currently have a 3 slot thick RTX 2080 from EVGA and I want to upgrade by adding in a 2080Ti and putting em in NV Link. The Issue is I only have 2 slots for the new GPU... So my question is: should I put an aircooled 2080Ti right above the 2080 blowing hot air onto it or should I sacrifice overall airflow and add in a water cooled 2080Ti?

So I have my Evga 2080 ti xc ultra overclocked to 120 mhz. My GPU will hit 2100 mhz but start to down clock until it hits 1935 mhz. It mostly bounces around and for the most part stays between 2025 and 2055 mhz. Power limit is set to 130%. Any idea why the clock speed is moving around so much? I've got it on a ek water block, never going above 60c. Other specs. I7 8700k 4.9 ghz Custom loop with 360mm rad Evga 850 watt psu 32 GB 3866 ram

This appears to be a tough decision for me. Firstly there is not much information on the Sea Hawk other than it has the same limiter as the Gaming X Trio meaning ~330w The EVGA has a limit of around ~370 Does being locked in around 330 on liquid out weight having a ceiling of 370 on air?
