I'm looking for quiet and good performing fans for a 280mm radiator (so two 140mm fans), my budget for both can go to £35 at a stretch. What I've found so far: NZXT Are P&F FANS

I'd like to block the top, front most fan mount on my MasterCase Pro 3 to prevent dust from falling in & direct airflow more towards my exhaust fans. Currently there's 140mm Black Noctua fans in the top most rear, rear most top plus 2 in the front of my case. So there's a completely open area basically right above my RAM slots. I don't wanna use cardboard, would prefer black plastic but where would I even get that at? How would I tap the holes to thread some kind of short screws into? What could I use to prevent any vibration noises? Welcoming any suggestions, I've been thinking about this for months on the side but haven't come to any conclusions yet so thank you all in advance!

I am buying 2 140mm fans to fit onto a 280mm corsair radiator. I would like high performance and low noise. I've been considering the Noctua NF-A14's but then I came across some Corsair ML's that were about NZD $19 (USD $14) cheaper. Although budget is not a main concern, if I can get fans that perform comparably to the Noctua's at a lower cost then I would like to go that route. I cannot for the life of me seem to find some raw performance numbers comparing the two fans, so any links or personal experience anyone can share would be much appreciated. Please don't hesitate to suggest any other 140mm fans as well.

Hi, As the title states, I'm wondering if I can run dual Xeon x5690s on a single fan single 140mm radiator setup without thermal throttling. The radiator is probably around an inch and a quarter thick. Thanks, Alec

Hey guys, I have a Raijintek Pallas cooling my 8600k, still non OC. - Processor came this weekend, not even monitoring temps yet So at the end of the week I'll start monitoring temps and start OCing Pallas is an awesome cooler, but the fan that comes with it is VERY slow and quiet. I'm not sure it will handle the 8600k in good temps. My i5 6600 was around 70ºc on stress tests, fan on silent mode. And so the question is: Is there any other 140mm fan that I can use/adapt on my Pallas, so that I can heave more air flowing into those beautifull heatpipes? These are the models available in my country; I could try to find other products: https://www.kabum.com.br/produto/80489/cooler-fan-coolermaster-masterfan-140-air-flow-mfy-f4nn-08nmk-r1 https://www.kabum.com.br/produto/53852/cooler-fan-corsair-140mm-air-series-af140-quiet-edition-co-9050017-pled-roxo https://www.kabum.com.br/produto/85544/cooler-fan-corsair-ml140-pro-140mm-led-azul-co-9050048-ww Thanks !

Hello! I just bought a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe for my new PC and I'm wondering what would be an efficient fan config for this tower case. A- 1x 200mm top, 1x 200mm front. B- 1x 200mm top, 2x 140mm front. C- 2x 140mm top, 1x 200mm front. D- 2x 140mm top, 2x 140mm front. Which one sounds better? I'm concerned about noise since I have been using a really silent gaming computer for almost 10 years and I want this new PC to be equally silent. Also, I'm not going to overclock my CPU atm, so my temperatures shouldn't raise too much when I play games. Thank you in advance!

I am looking into a new cooling configuration for my build, I ideally want a water cooling kit along with some new fans and crucially I have RGB in mind, I am looking for a water cooling kit where the radiator is 240mm or 280mm along with 2 case fans either 120mm or 140mm which are all controlled by 1 controller that controls fan speed, lighting effect and lighting colour and I can access this controller either on the outside of my case or via software on my PC. I am not sure if this is possible in the first place as my research is going nowhere however if possible I would like to do this as cheap as I can without compromising the parameters stated. If this is not possible any suggestions to get as close to this as possible would be great and as an added bonus but not crucial if I could also connect either 1 or 2 LED strips or cold cathode strips and also control these via the aforementioned parameters that would be truly amazing Thanks for any suggestions

The Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC 3000rpm fans at maximum rpm use 6,6w. Not only can this be demanding for a single fan header if the motherboard uses 6w headers, but even at 12w headers you would never split 2 of these fans to the header. My question is how do I successfully find a fan splitter device like this 1 or this 2 while knowing how many watts the total device or each header/cable can handle? Nobody advertises how many watts the fans either add up to or can sustain per header. Basically I'm saying my motherboard tells me how many watts per fan header but these devices do not which is a pain. I do plan on allowing these fans to go full rpm if they need to based on heat. Yes these fans are overkill but I want all the headroom I can for heat dissipation off my rads.

Hello, Linus Tech Tips community! I have been scouring the internet for a 140mm, purple (true, rich purple – not pink) LED 140mm SWM (4-pin) fan. I am preparing to build a purple-themed PC using the purple and white NZXT H440, and I would like to replace the NZXT Kraken X62's 2 stock PWM 140mm fans with a decent pair that has purple LEDs. Corsair has a 140mm purple LED high static pressure fan that is meant for radiators (the SP140), but it is only 3-pin (not 4). That is the closest product that I have been able to find. I am not interested in configuring an additional RGB lighting profile to that of the Kraken, especially since my daily driver for work will be Linux (probably Manjaro but possibly another Arch-based distro). Besides, I plan for this PC to be purple and white exclusively (although not excessively – I will probably not paint over the inevitable black components). If purple LED fans do not exist that fit these specifications (140mm PWM), I simply will use a white pair (e.g., the BitFenix Spectre PWM 140). I suppose that could offer decent contrast with the bright purple LED strips that I plan to place inside the case, giving the complete PC a fun, multi-colored look. As an aside, any tips based on real-world experience with a Kraken (x-2 series: x42, x52, or x62) configuration similar to what I am planning would be appreciated. Thank you for the help.

Hey I am going to be building in an nzxt H710 mid case. I am going for 2 140mm noctua fans on the front, but 120mm fans for the top and rear. I dont want weird case pressure, should I have 3 120mms to offset the two 140s?

I have 200mm fan which blows the air inside the case and I am thinking about buying another one to blow the air out of the case. In the back, one 120mm or 140mm fan could be applied but I can't really choose which one would be the best. Are LEDs worth it? My theme is black/red. It would be cool to have some sort of red light in the case, as currently only MSI gaming gtx 1060 and a bit of msi z170m motherboard show some red lighting. Here are a few options: http://www.skytech.lt/co9050017rled-corsair-case-fan-af140-quiet-edition-led-red140mm-3pin1200-rpm-p-177726.html#tabsnav-1 or http://www.skytech.lt/co9050009ww-corsair-fan-air-series-af140-quiet-edition-140mm-24dba-single-pack-p-120887.html#tabsnav-1 Which one you think would be the best?

Hey, I was wondering if there is any better case fan that is also very silent and has black as its main colour. I personally was looking into: Antec TrueQuiet Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilentPRO PWM be quiet! Silent Wings 2 PWM -they are all 140mm I also looked up http://www.silentpcreview.com/ and they say that the Antec fans are doing great and since they are that cheap I'm really not that sure. So I was wondering if there are any other fans that perform great, but still be able to be very quiet. And black I really don't like the Noctua style .

Hi guys, I have a Fractal R5 case and decided to replace the case fans. The fans that came with the case are quite quite, but still decided to move to three Noctua nf-p14s because i wanted them to move more air inside the case. Now that I have them, they seem to move more air but there is more noise, which mainly comes from the air moved around. At this point I am thinking to return them and get something slightly more quite, maybe loosing a bit of the quantity of air the fan moves but gaining lower noise for my pc. Just to know I have a 6700 processor, a dark rock 3 cooler, and a gtx 1070. Any recommendations for a 120mm fans or 140? Thanks

Few Months ago a bought an alienware 15(early 2015)(specs given Below). Since I bought in winters I didn't face any issues until now. Since I live in India and with summers comming(it really gets hot here,42C) I was considering buying an Cooling Pad for my laptop. That was backgroung story Now here is the question. Which Cooling pad 1. Single 200mm fan 2. Dual 140mm fan 3. Quad 100mm fan Which will provide better cooling(Given approx same quality). Also Will dual 140mm make more noise or single 200mm?? Following LTT youtube since mid 2012(not forums) and he hasn't made a video about it any help would be appreciated. Specs i7 4710hq GTX 980M (4GB) 16GB 1666Mhz DDR3 128GB SSD(samsung) + 1TB HDD 1080p

Hey guys, I'm looking for some good value pressure optimized Intake Fans for my case. So far I've been going with rather expensive ones (Noise Blocker eLoop b12-4) which turned out to have deficient build quality. Remembering that very low budget Fans (Xilence Redwing) in my previous rig, did an awesome job throughout the computers entire life span I'm looking for a more buget oriented solution again. Which good value 140mm Case fan providing an airflow of at least 160m³/h, better would be 200+ m³/h can you recommend? P.S.: I don't care much about the operating noise, anything below this noise level qualifies as silent in my book.

Hi, I am trying to max out fans on my Corsair 760T (which I have yet to order). I was wondering if I could go full out on the fans with: Front: (x2) 120/140mm (plan would be 2 140mm)Top: (x3) 120mm or (x2) 140mm (plan would be triple 120mm)Rear: (x1) 120/140mmBottom: (x1) 120mm I am planning to put a h110i cooler or a custom liquid cooling kit. Would the fans get in the way of the radiators or have any conflicts? Also, anyone have cool, LED, recommendations for fans that I can pick up at NCIX? My mobo is red, case will be white, so kind of want to keep it in that theme http://www.corsair.com/en-ca/graphite-series-760t-arctic-white-full-tower-windowed-case

What I need: I'm looking for exhaust fan:. - Rear (120 or 140 w/120 mounts) - (optional) Top 140mm fan 120mm PW, 140mm SP, HP and HP II have been less than satisfactory. With a 140mm PW at the top, it's not too bad, but I'd like to improve further. I think I might get another Phanteks 140XP for the top, but I'd like to find an adequate rear exhaust first. I may try a few old Noctuas and see how they fare My hardware : I7 3930K 3.8-4.2Ghz Dark Rock Pro 3 with 2*135mm fans Silent Base 800 with 2*140mm Phanteks XP fans for intake GTX 970 MSI gaming EVGA P2 750W Fans I've tried so far: Phanteks 140SP (2 non-LED, 4 LED), HP (2), HP II (4), XP (2) Be Quiet 120mm and 140mm PureWings Be Quiet 120mm and 135mm SilentWings that came with the DRP3 My experience: 140mm XP>PW>SP >>> SPw/LED~HP~HP II Last three are unusable 600~900RPM range during my subjective testing Tested as intake in the front of my SB800 PWM vs VR didn't effect acoustics Others- 120mm SW fan was better than 120mm PW or 140mm HP/HP II but cant be mounted to case 135mm SW fan was best out of all the fans but cant be mounted to case

I been looking for a good slim 140mm fan for rad like a 420 rad. I saw CRYORIG XT140 140mm Slim Fan witch is made for heatsinks. They have a pressure of 1.49mmH2O. Would they work on rads fine? I know JayzTwoCents says the bigger the rad the less for need of static pressure fans because he runs Corsair air flow fans on big rads.

Need a really quiet and good 140mm exhaust fan i dont care about the price! this is my build http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/PmktwP also need two quiet 140mm radiator fans My build is white so i preferably want a white one but it doesnt really matter

I just heard about it in a LTT video and I wanted to know if it's possible to have my case fans only kick into normal mode when my CPU/MoBo/GPU gets to a certain temperature? I have 2 140mm Corsair CO-9050035-WW Air Series fans at the front of the case! Thanks!

AIO in my Hadron Air (h60 with NF-P12)) frankly has been underwhelming, while I am working on fixing the pump sound (resistor) cooling wise it doesn't perform all that different from a TX3 with noctua 92mm fans in push pull (in fact when overclocked (4770k @4.5 and 4.6) it is hotter.. While this may have to do with the h60 being crammed between the HDD cage and the top of the case, I am using the HDD cage (for now, until 1tb ssds get cheaper). I could simply use the tx3 with the noctuas, but this case has a window. I love noctuas, and they are the only fans I run in my main rig - I am a fan boy, due to performance, sound, and their amazing customer support - but again, this case has a window. Here is my predicament, I am looking for a tower CPU cooler to go along with the air flow of the case (motherboard chip set got decently warm, and the hadron air has terrible airflow the begin with), thus I am avoiding top down coolers. I did find some 120mm tower coolers under 140mm, but alas they were discontinued. Trying to avoid 92mm coolers due to sound. Can any of y'all point me in the rigth direction?

So these have been released very recently, the big brother to the much loved 120mm e-loop fans from BlackNoise. With unique German engineering, these fans not only look awesome, but also are very quiet with decent airflow and static pressure. The white colour scheme also fits any white themed build perfectly. I personally own three B12-PS PWM 120mm versions and they are excellent. The new 140mm version matches the 120mm version while bringing similar or better performance at lower noise levels (due to the larger size). I have attached some images of the data sheet because I can't link PDF Product page: http://www.blacknoise.com/site/en/products/noiseblocker-it-fans/nb-eloop-series/140x140x29mm.php Where to buy: http://www.amazon.de/Noiseblocker-NB-eLoop-Fan-B14-1-140mm/dp/B0149M7ZGG http://www.amazon.co.uk/Noiseblocker-ITR-B14-PS-NB-eLoop-B14-PS-140mm/dp/B0149M97NU http://www.amazon.co.uk/Noiseblocker-ITR-B14-3-NB-eLoop-B14-3-140mm/dp/B0149MBB16 http://www.coolerkit.com/shop/nb-eloop-b14-ps-6218p.html Soon coming to america Expected retail price: $25-35 each

Good morning, TL:DR Bullshit story below Christmas is coming soon again, fireplaces and heaters will be on at max again. I wont be outside that much, because you know, it's cold. And will spend a lot of free time playing games that will warm my GPU and CPU to the core. And my poor poor laptop will be having to dissipate all that heat. Christmas is a timing of giving, and I would like to give my laptop a nice present this year. So i'm buying it a cooling pad! Now my laptop is not the only one who should be happy about that, I've decided to give something back to Linus media group as well. I will be decorating my cooler in orange and black, by using some brand spanking new LTT fans Only thing, I'm missing the right cooler to do this, please help me make this early Christmas miracle come true! End of BS story Right, I want a laptop cooler that uses at least 2x 120/140mm fans. The fans have to be removable or non existent so I can put LTT Noctua-fans in. This means the cooling pad needs to have standard 4 or 3 pin connectors. Also I want the fans to be somewhat visible, it's a shame to hide them under a very dense grill. I would also like to have a fan controller on it, but it's not mandatory. And it has to be affordable on some level, not looking to spend over a $100 on the pad, I still have to pay for the LTT fans as well. Only problem is I'm not able to find a cooler that ticks all the checkboxes I just listed. does anybody know a cooler that I could use for this project? Or will I have to use a CNC machine to make this myself? My laptop is a 15.6 inch laptop but I will probably need a 17 inch compatible cooling pad for it. I've added an inspiration picture below.

Will be doing a build with NH-D15 + Define R5 soon (might make a build log who knows) And I'm all about silence (Got a Asus Strix GPU and Corsair RM series PSU just for their fan off ability) I'll likely be controlling the NF-A15 fan with SpeedFan and try and see if I'm lucky enough to control the Dynamic GP14 fans (dang it 3 pins). Now obviously turning them completely off is probably a bad idea, need some airflow at least, so I'd like to know if anyone tested 140mm fans to see just how low of an RPM they should go before it's not worth it anymore to lower it any further as airflow will go way down? Specifically the NF-A15 and the Dynamic GP14 fans, how low of an RPM should I go before turning them any lower won't be worth the extra silence cause airflow would decrease too much? Or does airflow and RPM follow a linear curve? All replies are appreciated thank you!
