Every single time I try to install iTunes, I get this error: I googled it and many people said it was as a result of not having the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack so I attempted to install it but it hasn't made any difference. Somebody else said to disable automatic Windows Module Installations but that hasn't worked either. Anybody got a solution? Thanks!

I'm pretty annoyed/scared right now, as I don't understand how to do things with the bios. I had the Asus bios update manager, and after updating the bios, I ran into the error: inaccessible boot device; I use an SSD for my windows. I read about the issue, but it was with a different motherboard, so I don't know what settings to mess with. I have Nonverbal learning disability, so I'm not very good at explaining things, and am not very good at interpreting directions unless they're very specific and in steps. Anyway, since I'm not good at explaining things, I'll post a bunch of pictures from my bios, and hopefully you guys will know what settings to change/fix. Also, when choosing boot-override, it crashes the bios/tries resolving problem. Thanks. Pictures:

Hey there when I had windows 10 installed using an OFFLINE account when i booted from a cold boot it would take 10+ mins to log in.... anyone know why

Okay this is an update from my last post: Quick Summary of previous post: New SSD, is showing 100% disk usage with 0KB/s read and write. Whenever this happens, Resource Monitor shows no applications at all, so there's no way of seeing what's using the disk. Since my last post, I've been using my old drive as the new one was unusable. I have since reinstalled Windows on the drive around 4 times, with no other drives plugged in, and the problem still persists. The system is unusable 90% of the time. I've tried different mother board ports, and different cables, nothing has changed. Does anyone have any idea what causes this or if there's a way to fix it?

hey, this is 100% legitimate before anyone ask questions. My close friend committed suicide a week ago. his parents asked me if i could remove the password on his asus ROG gaming laptop for him. being that i've done this in the past with offline NT before, i said sure. well that was before windows 10. i tried using that and it seemed to work but still asks for a password, then i remember about windows 10 and having a hotmail account linked to it. (i use local) so its asking for the hotmail account password. i'm not looking to know what his password is, im just trying to remove it so his parents can see if they there was any information on his computer. is there a way that i can remove the password? i know you could always reset the microsoft password online but it will send a conformation to his phone and they don't know the password to his iphone either and i know trying to break into that is not going to happen. am i SOL or what can i do.

So. The newest "big" update that took 3 hours for me to update has ruined my experience with games, and here's why, Games that ran semi-decently are now horse dung, Xbox 360 controller inputs feel more delayed, I'm running not the best rig in the world (GT610, i3-3420, 4gb ram), but NFS UG2 (that is a 12 y/o game) is running at 20-25 fps, when earlier it ran at a stable 60. Other games are even worse, Vanilla minecraft (yes minecraft) for my sister ran at 59 fps stable, now it goes from 20-25 to 10-15 in more intense areas. Has anyone had this problem too? Do you know a possible fix?

I'm cleaning my computer a bit and noticed File History was using way too much space on my hard drive. It was backing up everything from my C drive but instead of having whatever was current on the C drive, it was just piling things up. So I deleted File History from the hard drive and from "AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows" so I can tell it to backup again, this time using less space. But now it can't find my hard drive. When I click "Add a drive" It sees my smaller hard drive, and an external drive, but not my 1tb. How do I get it to see my 1tb hard drive?

I am having trouble installing Windows updates on my laptop. A little bit of backstory, I noticed in task manager that this process "Windows Modules Installer" was eating up about 30% CPU usage. I assumed it was Windows updating, but when I went into the update settings nothing was downloading or installing. It had been about 10 minutes and my CPU usage was not dropping so I became concerned and researched what to do about this problem. This had been a problem before where this process was eating up CPU usage for no apparent reason. I found that stopping the "Windows Modules Installer" service was a fix to this problem. However ever since stopping that service just once I am having trouble installing updates. I have gone into services and changed the start-up type to automatic, manually started the service and tried to install the updates by "Update and Shut Down." However every time the machine just says "Getting Windows Ready" for a couple of minutes and just shuts down without installing any updates. Oddly enough any time I check the services application the start-up type has changed itself back to manual. My guess is that I must have interrupted some update for Windows when I stopped the service. I just find it strange that when I went into the update settings it said nothing was installing, so I figured it was safe to end it. I have tried start-up repair and that did nothing. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it greatly, I would really like to avoid have to reinstall Windows all together. OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit.

Hello Linus people, Im having issue with my alienware 15 R2, Which is: When I enter game without connecting the AC adapter, all my USBs disconnect randomly. I have followed some steps which are disabling suspend settings from power plans, device manager "power management" thing and updating BIOS and still facing the same issue. Anything from your side I could try??

So, I'm not really sure what this is, but every 5-ish minutes or so, a small dialogue box (or so it looks like) pops up in the upper left of my screen, and flashes away, lasting about less than half a second. It causes me to tab out of games that im in sometimes too. I had a virus not just a week ago (lets not ask why), and i ran a full scan with MWB and went through the most recently changed files to check myself. I also uninstalled 1-2 programs that were installed and everything else went back to normal but this. Startup apps are all normal, and I have no clue what this is? Help...ty Edit...Its not porn, fuckin pervs

So, I'm trying to remove Title info of a movie file I have in the file properties as it's what Emby is reading as the movie name but it's incorrect. When I right click and go to properties>details>remove properties and personal information and then check "Title" and then okay it's prompting that I need administrator permission. So I click "continue" and then it says denied. " You require permission from "my computer username." I checked the permissions and ownership of the file in question and it's my username so I don't know why it's not allowing me to change.

I don't know how or why but they haven't been loading for me for a while. All I get is the "After you've opened some files, we'll show the most recent ones here." text right below a big fat goose egg for recent files. How can I get it to show properly?

I have been using an Asus board but lately CPU has been acting weird so i transferred my system on to different board and CPU (*new* board is from Biostar). When i try to boot my PC it boots up windows and then BSOD apears that says that AsIO.sys couldnt be run. I entered Safe Mode to delete AiSuite and new error appears that says that it couldn't be deleted because AsIO.sys couldnt be run. How can i uninstall AiSute and run this system on non Asus board without reinstalling Windows 10 ??? Thank you.

This has only just started up for some reason and i have done BIOS updates etc and nothing fixes. about once or twice every week the PC will suddenly slow down and program will stop working (SFM not opening files then explorer stuck on 'working on it...') if i restart the PC i just get the windows 10 spinning circle saying restart for 2 minutes then once the bios comes up he has to think about where to boot, but there is only one boot drive. once it finds windows, it sits there for 5 more minutes just spinning then everything comes up and starts working as if nothing happened. this is getting really annoying and i have tried doing BIOS updates through the GIGABYTE app centre and the Intel Driver utility for other drivers and even just windows updates but nothing fixes the problem. one thing i did notice is that windows for some odd reason thinks it is Enterprise not Pro. if you need spec, this is what is off the top of my head: Z170-XP-SLI GIGABYTE motherboard 2x8GB DDR4 2400MHz corsair vengence Intel core i5 6600 (non K) GTX 1060 6GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD (Boot drive) 850W corsair PSU i have done i post before where for some reason the CPU was bottle-necking the GPU in Overwatch which is not right. could my CPU also be doing this bizarre occurrence of suddenly slowing down? Thanks LTT forum members

Hey everyone I'm dog sitting at my friends house and he has a windows 10 computer with a picture password, he at first explained rather poorly how to unlock it and I failed to many times. I now know how to do it properly but the option to input a picture password is now gone and for some reason he doesn't know his typed pw and didn't make a pw recovery disk. So my question is, how do I regain the option to do the picture password?

Has anybody seen that on some of LTT's pc's, Windows 10 isn't activated and why? Just take a look at some of their videos on pc's.
