    Glad you had success with soldering a new port. Please share what part you used. I searched Digikey and RS Online and they have 12 HDMI 2.1 surface mount receptacles.

    An x520 SFP+. Today, I got a DLink DGS-1510-20 at 42% off at Amazon. US$279 isn't bad. It's almost the same price of the NIC.

    Cool. Thanks for the info. I always thought that it was the CPU that dictated the number of PCI-E lanes available. Would you know if 10GbE NICs PCI-E 3.0 or 2.0?

    Noob question. I have an old 3770k on a Z77 board with a GTX1080. Will there be a performance impact on the GPU if I install a 10GbE LAN Card or a PCI-E SSD since there are only 16 PCI-E 3.0 lanes available? Hope someone can answer. Thanks guys!

    I love projectors. I'm happy LG managed to produce a decent short throw projector. Even If I don't win, this will definitely be part of my Amazon wish list.
