Summary:
OnePlus One is going to launch in India.
Cyanogenmod, for some reason, gives another phone manufacturer exclusive rights to their OS in the Indian market, which means OnePlus is not allowed to use their OS.
OnePlus have had their own Android team for quite some time, working on an OS that they would use in their future devices. So they are now forced to ship with that OS in India instead.
 
 
Their new OS sounds promising and it's great that they are taking feedback. I am kind of worried about future updates though. I mean, with cyanogenmod you can find KitKat builds for the Galaxy S. That's a 4-5 year old device still getting updates. I just don't see that happening with whatever the OnePlus OS will be called.
