Just checked the prices - the cheapest 4930k here is $750. I'm a little bit shocked, but not that surprised.

    iPad 3.
Here's why: the only reason I wanted a tablet is to just sit anywhere and watch series/ movies on it. It has a beautiful 1080p+ display, so obviously I was going to watch 1080p movies/ series on it. But noooooo, in order to watch an mkv 1080p movie, I had to first download the movie on my PC, then convert it, which takes a while (thank god for quick sync), then import it to iTunes (which should just die in a fire) then synchronize with my iPad.
While on my android phone which was almost 2 years old I could just browse thepiratebay with an app, download via a torrenting app, and watch with an mkv player app. (all free apps)
On top of that, not only does it cost more than most other tablets, you need to pay for most apps, which is just plain stupid. What makes you think that if I spend that much on your tablet, I'm going to have any money left??

In short: IOS is a stupid communist excuse for an OS and I am one unhappy customer, wishing he'd bought the nexus 7

//rant off. please don't chastise me because I am not happy with the iPad (unlike many other people)

I personally like the Lenovo brand over the Asus for laptops. but both specs are pretty good.
One thing I would recommend to help you with deciding is the warranty that comes with both computer.

I have a lenovo thinkpad and their customer service is very good. I never contacted asus customer support/service, so I'm not to sure about this. Look it up and see what others have to offer.

Since it's a gaming laptop, I'm assuming battery life won't matter for you as well. But if it does, check and see which one will last longer.

And I believe Hashwell is much better on battery life than IB.

Also, someone told me before that lenovo is a good brand because it's quiet and keeps the laptop quite cool. (don't quote me on that, but my thinkpad is very quiet and cool) ... not too sure for it's gaming brand.

Go with the Lenovo. For gaming it will be better and will still have useable battery life.  Only thing I would do is to pull out the 1Tb hdd and put in an ssd unless you plan on populating that extra slot with one.

LucasBoy got a reaction from Rambo in Is building your own PC still the way to go?
Building your own PC is one of the most satisfying experiences for me in the world. I can't change my hardware every month, but a lot of my friends can and I always help them as they can't change a bulb alone. I feel like an obstetrician delivering a child every time. You know you build it with your own hands and it's alive (mostly)! I'd pay a few extra bucks to have the option to choose parts myself and in my country there always is a flow with the pre-build PCs. They are either with 2GB RAM and an i7, or 16GB RAM and and i3, or i7-3770(non-K) with z77 chipset and....integrated graphics. There isn't one balanced build. This may not matter to you, but believe me, if you build a PC once, you will never buy pre-build PCs again :)
