  1. Eh... RAID0. I'm good. lol
  2. You do realize how silly this sounds right?
  3. Buy a $4,000 car and build a $1,000 computer. 4 grand is plenty for your first car.
  4. What exactly is your goal with this? Storage? Backup?. Your gains with RAID0 would be near pointless and a setup like that should be used for redundant storage in something like a RAID5 configuration (so you can lose a disk without losing data).
  5. Determination and self discipline are the only things that are going to help you... unfortunately there's no trick that will permanantly fix your sleep schedule.
  6. Wow... yes. I must have been asleep still lol
  7. Bump. I'm interested in feedback as well.
  8. What are your problems with your current board and what are you trying to accomplish?
  9. Just a shot in the dark, but since it's an Origin game, try disabling the Origin Overlay in games. I've had this cause some difficulties in games in the past, so it may be worth a shot.
  10. To be fair, the 6GB 780ti is more or less a rumor... it seems to be highly likely that it will happen though. I will also mention that as it seems you are using three identical 120hz displays, the difference between Eyefinity and Surround will not affect you. The reason that Eyefinity is more well regarded is the fact that it's less picky with having different types of displays connected. If all three of yours are exactly the same, that feature is irrelevant (I speak from personal experience). I suppose it's also worth mentioning that Nvidia would let you use 3D Vision or 3D Vision Surround with three identical 120hz displays
  11. I assume that your router supports a newer standard than G right? If so, which one? Also, how far away are you from your router? (how many walls are between you, etc).
  12. Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7, or perhaps Windows Vista?
  13. Ah sorry, I missed that part. I think I would personally want the 6GB 780ti that's supposed to come out rather than the 8GB 290X... but I might be slightly biased as I have a G-Sync monitor lol I think that I would also take into consideration whether or not you're likely to add a second card in the future. I've had much more luck with SLI than Crossfire in the past.
  14. Though the end goal is the same: dual GPU rendering. Nvidia and AMD actually go about it in surprisingly different ways, hence all the fuss with frame pacing on the AMD a while ago when Nvidia was barely affected.
  15. I would also get a new 780ti. I think that in this case, the extra GPU horsepower is going to be more helpful than 8GB of VRAM at 5760x1080, not to mention AMD cards are FAR too expensive for their performance thanks to coin miners I personally stick to Asus and MSI for graphics cards, so I would suggest one of their aftermarket variants
  16. They are completely different technologies... as Woodenmarker said, they're physically completely different connectors. This isn't related to Nvidia or AMD being greedy.
  17. Perhaps try verifying your file integrity. If that doesn't find any missing/ corrupt files, it could be worth redownloading the game as well.
  18. I never thought I'd recommend a rapper's headphones, but I think the SMS Audio Streets are actually fantastic for $100 (the price varies depending on the color for some reason ). They're meant as 50 Cent's answer to the Beats but honestly they don't compare at all. It sounds like someone who actually listens to music designed the Streets whereas the person who designed Beats is likely to put three 10" subs in the back of his stock '89 Honda Accord. The Streets sound quite similar to my Sennheiser PC360's (which are based on the HD555, from what I heard), they're just not quite as crisp. The build quality is also fantastic. You can take each earcup and bend the headphones anyway you wan't without any fear of breaking them. There is one place you'd be making a compromise though, SMS Streets don't block outside noise at all. They claim to have "passive noise cancellation", but it's a marketing lie that they most likely came up with in order to compete with the Beat's terrible active noise cancellation. The only noise blocking you'll get is by cranking up the volume, but be prepared to let everyone else around you listen in as well lol. I've owned my pair for about a year and a half now and I've really liked them. Just be warned that they are NOT for bass heads as 50 Cent's name might imply http://www.amazon.com/STREET-Over-Ear-Headphones--SMS-Audio/dp/B007HU6NDY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393842926&sr=8-1&keywords=streets+by+50
  19. I have to assume that they're targeting the very low budget market.
  20. Don't listen to Faa. Your temperatures would drop a bit, but it is up to you whether or not the upgrade is worth it. What are your temps while running Prime95 for about a half an hour? You are terribly misinformed about how cooling works. Please don't spread this information. Component cooling isn't as simple as a percentage of utilization. That's just not how physics works.
  21. Sounds like you have something messed up running on your OS. The easiest way to rule OS issues out is to reformat. I highly suggest doing so. BF4 is only continuing to be more stable for me.
  22. A cache drive is useful for speeding up access to commonly used files. The problem with this is that you don't have quick access to ALL files and the overall performance benefit is rather questionable when compared to just spending a bit more cash on a somewhat larger SSD and using the more standard setup of installing your OS and programs on an SSD and then using an HDD as a storage drive. There are no risks involved as I believe any data that is cashed to the SSD will also be on the HDD.
  23. If you weren't going to OC, you should have bought something cheaper like a Hyper 212+. Go for the overclock!
  24. That's actually pretty clever. You could even have a small desktop fan blowing over it
