  1. Perfect and couldn't ask for a better person to answer. Thank You!
  2. I appreciate the input and while I will consider it, it doesn't really answer my question. Most things in my build are EK so I was leaning towards keeping a brand throughout and the Koolance option will save $45 but doesn't look as good to me. Once again, I will consider it as the little it saves may be all my budget allows but for now its between the two in OP.
  3. I believe the reasoning is because more people have bought it therefore you are bound to see more negatives just based on a percentage. I have a H100i currently and day one haven't had problems. LED, fan functions in Link, Pump/Sound have all been excellent for me but for someone who it doesn't they will be loud and tell everyone while mine that has worked I have bragged very little or defended it therefore the negatives seem more frequent than positives. Then someone who has a Kraken wants to see their product become top and brags and recommends to anyone and everyone making that one seem more successful. Atleast, thats how I always viewed it. I will say though I also have a M95 and K70RGB and Corsair isn't ready for software just yet. My M95 was really picky setting up but its not much to tinker with and the K70 is still having new errors that will have a crash window pop up or the LED animation stop so I know there are issues and guess what, I've been pretty loud about them too.
  4. Was looking into the same thing recently. I guess like anything else, you pay for the name? They do look nice but, not double what others look and I'm unsure of a warranty or longevity of fittings that would make a difference.
  5. Hey, I'm starting to pick out parts for an early 2015 build and was comparing things so just to make sure all components are accounted for and I'm comparing a complete Res/Pump combo to another. Its between Bitspower and EK, both using the Swiftech MCP665-PWM. Bitspower - ~$250 150 Top Upgrade - $50 Pump Mod Top - $50 Pump - $95 Pump Mod Cover - $50 EK - ~$215 X-Res Top 100 D5 - $70 150 X3 Replacement Tube - $13 X3 Replacement Top - $17 Pump - $95 Pump Mod Cover - $23 Am I missing anything from either combo? Will the X3 Res work with the X-Res D5 mod? Does the Bitspower Z-Tube allow the top to be used as an inlet or will I need a replacement like with the EK? I have links saved in a wishlist so if they are needed I'm happy to share. Thanks
  6. Really liked the LED demonstration video. Wouldn't mind playing around with what you have there, really cool work. I like the idea of the dual chamber to get fishes to work, hopefully it works out finding a stable temperature and you are going through a few fishes per month. I'll be watching, good stuff.
  7. Anyone suggesting to add the color red didn't read the title correctly. Chrome or Gold accents would look cool but a completely stealth black set up sounds really cool to me, add dim lighting or UV to add some character but all black I think is cool.
  8. Thats a tough call. The 5960 will need 240 from what I've heard and the lower TDP of the 980's will help so if you count them as 120/per card then you will have enough to cool them but it depends on the temperatures you are looking to get. I've only done watercool planning though so don't take my word as truth.
  9. Rumors are that the PS4 is the more powerful hardware so if you find the PS4 laggy I can't say you will be happy on the other side of the pond either.
  10. I've always wanted military switches built into my desk and I flip them one by one to turn on fans/leds/power/etc. May get old after awhile but seems like a really cool thing in my head.
  11. From what i measured the bottom fan mounts to the bottom-front fan mount is ~68mm. Bottom fan mount to beginning of PSU box on 1200i 278mm and considering wires ~36-40mm its a no go for the 1200 and bottom rads. As you can see in the previously posted picture the 860 is still short enough. To @Marsov, have you thought of modding the case to run two 420s? Can't remember where I found it but if you don't need the optical drive bays and front IO you could get a 45(?)mm thick rad on top and front.
  12. Also have a 750D and going through the same things you are. A 240/240 will work but a 280/240 will obstruct the bottom rad. Also make sure you have the clearance from your PSU, I have a 1200i so I'm not able to fit a bottom rad. If you go with a thinner rad on bottom you could fit any size you want for front intake.
  13. My minecraft never looked anything like that! Those shaders, clouds/skybox, and textures are incredible! The size of the worlds look so much more immerse with all of that. Share your details and packs? Also any maps if you uploaded any of that?
  14. They did it, coolio. Congrats to all involved. Now we* can start mining them and make stupid money. *-Correction, rich people.
  15. Yes, I saw it but, you didn't really answer any of the questions of modding the case or go nearly as in depth as you did here so I figured this was a better place to ask those questions.
  16. Wonderful time to post this, was questioning if I wanted to do the same with my 750D. Thanks. Any specs I should look for when picking out rads or anything you think that could become a problem if I were to get the wrong thing? Any extra supports for the case or the front radiator for rigidity? Do the SSD trays interfere with this at all and are they still usable?
  17. If you are doing this from a cooling perspective and not a OC/push it to the limits build then it will be OK but its very borderline and I'm not sure if it will be quiet. I'm going to assume the plan would be to have the radiator up top and that the front intake is covered by drive cages? I have no personal watercooling experience, all my knowledge is by preparing for my own loop soon, but I believe the rule is 120mm of surface cooling per item so its close. Maybe get a 5.25 adapter for an HDD if you only have 1 and that opens up the front intake for another radiator because the more the the better but you may want to wait on a more experienced opinion.
  18. Lowest ms delay is always best for me. Are you running the 2 screen as surround or is 1 gaming and 1 peripheral? I also prefer sitting at a desk right next to my keyboard and the monitor directly infront of that so depends on the distance as well. If the setup was a wireless keyboard/mouse or gamepad I might lean more towards the TV but if its a desk environment I'm leaning monitors.
  19. 1080p is going to look like 1080p no matter if you stretch it across 20" or 80". Difference makers are panel types but considering the age of the TV you are using and you buy a newer LED TV I don't think the difference will be to much for an outside opinion to matter.
  20. Just saw H was the last letter. U U S E E E H
  21. Can't say I remember how I found you but I'm glad I did. Good luck Linus. Also, can I get a tech quickie about CPU frequency? I still use your low end GPU argument you did with the R7 and would love to also have a CPU related one.
