  1. I need a BD Drive do I? Also, yeah I was thinking of using watercooling for the CPU. Slap some green LED lights inside the BitFenix Colossus venom windowed case. Overclockers, add the watercooling kit inside as a bundle I think: OcUK Tech Labs - BitFenix Colossus - 750 EX240 Watercooled Case [WC-037-TL] I am trying to go for a black/green look...different. Would you recommended getting this bundle, or buying the case separately for like £130iish and watercooling bundle. Thing is, I wouldn't know the best bundle to get.
  2. I thought I would need a network adapter to just be on a network itself? Also I read something about the K is related to easier overclocking....however I am scared to even venture into that area ¬_¬
  3. I heard that the power supplies have ranks from bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond...something like that..? I don't really understand how to choose the appropriate wattage etc. I just thought to choose the bette one. Plus, I also wanted to try watercooling since it looks really good and I have a windowed case. But I feel I am trying to do too much and have too little knowledge...this computer has gotta last me for quite a few years ¬_¬ I thought I would need a network adapter to just be on a network itself?
  4. Hello guys, I am quite new to all of this, but I thought it wouldn't harm me to try and get into this. I am going to uni next year and so wanted to upgrade from my 6 year old Sony Vaio VGN-FW21L into a beast of a computer. Since I was going to buy an Alienware before I have a budget of about £1300ish. I am going to be using the computer for some programming, Photoshop, gaming, little video editing, the normal social/media things and little to non 3d modelling. There's so much to learn and so many decisions to make, which makes this whole process exciting but also crippling. Using PC Part Picker...this is what I have atm: Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive x 2 Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card Corsair Air 540 ATX Desktop Case or OcUK Tech Labs - BitFenix Colossus Antec EarthWatts Platinum 650W 80+ Platinum Certified ATX Power Supply Asus VE247H 23.6" Monitor Asus Xonar DGX 24-bit 96 KHz Sound Card Intel EXPI9301CTBLK 10/100/1000 Mbps PCI-Express x1 Network Adapter Total atm = £867.52 I am also thinking about getting the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth Edition & Razer Taipan or Mionix Naos 8200 Advice and help would be very much appreciated, I know I could do so much better at the moment! I am in your hands =D
  5. Yeah, I have a few friends who scolded me right away when I brought up wanting to buy that. To talk about what I got in a build I am thinking about now, where do I go?

    Hello ¬_¬

Hello guys, I am completely new to building computers and all this hardware stuff. Just got into it last week and now I have constant headaches since there's just so much to get my head around. This all started because I was going to buy and Alienware but was persuaded to build a better computer for cheaper ¬_¬ Hopefully we can get along well and you guys can teach me many things!
