The 980ti is a cut down version of the Titan X yes, however because there arent really any aftermarket coolers / custom PCB titan X's some aftermarket 980ti's will overclock higher than titan x's and give better performance. Like my 980ti that im running which is a pretty good overclocker buy by far not the best which I have stable at 1557 (signature is outdated) and can score 22246 on firestrike normal for graphics (which competes very well with most titans or beats them).

Titan X and 980ti are both viable options however I would recommend the 980ti because at worst if you get a bad overclocker at stock speed a 980ti is something like ~8% behind the Titan X which in real world FPS is extremely minimal. However if you really need the 12gb of vram (some crazy surround setup or something that requires it) then the titan X is easily better.

Overall unless youre doing a crazy surround monitor setup , or money means nothing to you and really want the king of the hill (which then you should look into the 980ti Kingpin) then you could go with the titan X. Otherwise get an aftermarket 980 ti

980ti ... general rule of thumb is always go with the highest power single graphics card you can afford. So that you dont have to deal with microstuttering and un SLI supported games.

980Ti. And not because that's what everyone else is saying. Because it is legitimately a better way to go than dual 970s. Dual 970s was good six months ago. Not anymore though.

Single 980ti always. Always a much more powerful single card over SLI.

best way to do it to root the stock rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2692204

next use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496to install a custom recovery, copy the CM rom zip to your phone storage.

then power off, hold volume down and power button. the phone will turn on for a few seconds then turn off. when the screen comes back on let go of the buttons and then press them again.

this will show the "factory reset" press the power button twice and it will boot the custom recovery. *yay*

first thing you do is make a back up then after that you can flash the ROM zip.

try clover, from what I've found looking at script errors over the last 20 minutes, unibeast sometimes fails so people suggest clover. You can try UniBeast first though - worth a shot

the pen drive, well the OS X software on it; there is a couple lines of code that need to be written into terminal (of the mac) for the drive to succeed. also are you getting the software from a apple computer or elsewhere, cause there are other ways to boot up the hackintosh if you're using an apple one

Gigabyte delivers a CD with their own overclocking software. You can change the fan speed there.

    A 970 is way better than a 280x. AMD's competition for the 970 is the 290/290x.
