  1. What are they gonna do, build candy crush saga for oculus? Im still not impressed that facebook has bought Oculus. Facebook, out of all company's. Its just stupid. I use facebook often, but seriously.
  2. True dat Like I said though, its a good topic to discuss.
  3. Yep. I've seen 4 so far. But I don't blame anyone, it's quite an interesting topic to discuss.
  4. I agree. I highly doubt it will use hyperthreading. The developers won't bother with hyper threading. Just means more effort for them
  5. So I know you said not to moan about it, but this is the 4th thread about the same topic. However, this is a good topic to talk about. Wolfenstien looks to be a pretty demanding game, I think it's ridiculous what they are suggesting to have. Seriously, an i7 to play the game? Bollo*ks, I bet people will be able to play it on an i5 no problem. I dont know for sure. I guess we'll see soon.
  6. What? When i searched it it cam up as £500
  7. So many post's contain potatoes looks like a good game though. Entry!!!
  8. I hope someone can prevent it. If the FCC starts trying to control the web or do whatever it is they're trying to do with it, I wouldn't have thought it would be too long before other nations adopt a similar system or the FCC tries to influence them. I agree, it's very easy for people like FCC to influence us, and with the problems going on in Britain right now I really wouldn't be surprised if Britain had taken on a similar system/
  9. Well then....That sucks But thanks for helping out with my confusion
  10. I so glad that the FCC took this into account.....Yeah-no. Screw FFC.
  11. Hooray. At least we you got their attention. I'm British...And to be honest I don't fully understand where the FCC applies to global-wise. I only hear alot about it in America, plus I haven't really researched a whole lot into it...
  12. I've been waiting for a monitor like this. I have seen a few videos and pictures of similar types floating around youtube etc (I think I saw an Asus one not long ago, but it had bad reviews about instant dead pixels) and I have never been bothered to turn my attention to them, but they look pretty good. Though I would personally just get that Samsung 4K monitor instead seeing how it's being introduced a lot more around certain websites.
  13. I think if Facebook ever did that the enemy wouldn't even retaliate, they would just laugh their asses off
  14. Ok, I'm going to do a full comparison of the important bits. So, $899 is about £533 where I live. £533 WILL get you a decent laptop that you can use for gaming, Graphics, Work etc with WAY higher specs. I drew up a terrible little thing in photoshop just so I could compare what we could get instead of a macbook. Yeah, the picture is a little big, sorry. But anyway, I found an Asus laptop on amazon for nearly the exact same price. Comparing time; Notice how on the Macbook you have Intel HD Graphics 5000. I have focused alot of my research time on to this as I though for a £500 laptop this was an absolute rip-off. The Asus uses a Nvidia GeForce GT 720M, which is capable of running Crysis 3 & Battlefield 4 on medium to low settings, whereas the Macbooks HD 5000 will make the game look like a conference slide show. The Asus contains 8GB of DDR3 RAM, capable of playing a lot of high end games. But Apples attempt is just Lazy and in my view scammy. Apple haven't made an attempt on producing a affordable Macbook that is worth your money. Asus have used a Core i5 3337U, which is good, great for gaming and many other tasks. Apple have used a similar processor, but it still isn't as good as the Asus. However, I'm not going to complain with the processor, as it isn't to bad for what people usually do. One thing I am happy about with the Macbook is the storage option. I like the fact they are using flash storage, IMO it's more reliable and faster. But it's only 128GB, which doesn't even compare to the hefty 1TB HDD. I don't have anything to complain about OSX as it isn't that bad, my friend has an iMac which I used once, and the OS was very well made, and was very smooth. So I suppose I support both systems. Also, I think the 11-inch display is a little to small for the majority of our liking's. I can't use anything below 13 inch anymore. I used to have an 11 inch netbook, which was fine when on-the-go but eventually got to small for the work I was doing. But for some people, 11 inches i big enough for them. I don't know who, but it's there for a reason. I guess that's all my points on why NOT TO BUY a Macbook unless there is something specific you can only have on an Apple product. Still, it's your choice if you wish to purchase the product, I'm just pointing out a few reasons why not to. Hope this helped somehow. Feel free to add more points.
  15. I agree, this is a possibility that 'chavs' or 'robot racists' will bully AI's to go corrupt, but I don't think AI will happen for a good couple of decades. Sure scientists are saying they are close, but really, all they are close to is having a realistic voice for the 'AI' instead of actually working on the AI. Still, there are many possibility's. My told my mum about what Stephen Hawking said, and she practically said the same thing as you. She found it quite ironic about what Hawking said.
  16. I think it's going to be an interesting 'battle'. I do hope Oculus aren't lying about it, it would be a shame to see a company with futuristic tech go down because of some accusations, providing the accusations are true.
  17. Ahhhh. I was starting to considering that. I did try it on high and got around 10-15 FPS on that specific rig
  18. Graphics card hunting

  19. If you are talking about an android tablet there are ups and downs. My dad uses a tablet alot more often than his laptop, essentially because it's easier. But the downside is tablets aren't good for document sorting etc. Personally though I do like tablets ALOT. But I myself would stick with an MSI GE60 just because my job is graphics designer. And I game alot.
  20. I'm not entirely sure I agree with the original post. I mean, if you have an i7 to game on, then thats great, you've pretty much secured a good position for future games, but saying you 'need' an i7 is not entirely true. You can easily run BF4 on an i5 on ultra settings and get a decent consistent FPS providing you have a good graphics card. And as mentioned before, it would take a bit of effort to code the game for hyper threading, providing they even have knowledge about hyper threading. I don't think that they are going to put in any more effort to code it just for hyper threading, unless Intel or any other brands decided to do some massive sponsor for them or something. Idk.
