  1. That happens because of nVidia's marketing. When you hype Ray Tracing like it's the Second Coming or something along those lines, people will expect something good. Reducing your performance to 1/3 to enable these effects is not good in the eyes of the consumer...that little number will make most people disregard the fact that the 2080Ti is a good chunk faster than the 1080Ti and really, really good at 4K. Had they reversed the marketing technique, emphasizing classic performance, followed by the concept of RT, people would've responded better. Oh and the whole "Dying 2080Tis" isn't helping either.
  2. I am aiming for stereo playback, for music. Games sound fine, sound is postitional even with Surround disabled. I am just trying to get unaltered signal from the DAC, without any DSP or equalizer.Even ASIO sounds bad.
  3. I know, since the speakers are connected to a different jack than the headphones and sound won't come out simultaneously. That's not the problem. Here's the switch.
  4. Hello guys! THERE IS A TL:DR at the end. TL:DR. I got a Creative SB Z which sounds really bad when using headphones(Sennheiser HD-569), compared to the previous U7. Stereo speakers(Microlab Solo 6C New) sound brilliant thanks to "Stereo Direct". Surround 5.1 (Enkor Z1000-A) sounds good as well. All software DSP is disabled from the control panel. What am I missing, settings, tweaks, or is it just that bad?
  5. "Remember, no Russian" Point made and dismissed
  6. Holy cow, am I glad that my R9 380 still rocks 1080p. It may do no ultra, but damn this card gets the job done.
  7. Or you initially get a top of the line spec TV but you have a modest room, then move house and find yourself in a bigger living room that needs a bigger TV.
  8. Okay, so this is a pretty big deal for devs, but before the flame war starts, someone with a bit more knowledge can tell us how this affects the normal user if at all. Anyone?
  9. What PSU brand are you using? Although 450W should be plenty, if it's a cheapo PSU that might be the culprit. RX 580 is quite a power hungry card, not over the top, but still.
  10. No, I didn't because I thought it was the same video.
  11. Haven't this been known for a while? From what I recall, I watched der8auer's video and I believe the 2 dummy dies have no circuitry in them. They're there so that the surface area of the IHS is uniform.
